[WASHINGTONTIMES] Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, who for weeks had blamed President Trump for fueling riots in his Oregon city, on Thursday acknowledged that the violence has continued even after the federal presence was curtailed, and told peaceful protesters to stay home.
Mr. Wheeler, who is also the city’s police commissioner, said he’s authorized officers to "do whatever is necessary" to gain control after another night of rioting against officers.
And he used a base political appeal to try to get the riots to stop, saying they’re inadvertently helping Mr. Trump.
"Don’t think for a moment that if you are participating in this activity that you are not being a prop for the reelection campaign for Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! Not him!... , because you absolutely are," he said in a presser conducted online. "You are creating the b-roll film that will be used in ads nationally to help Donald Trump during his campaign. You don’t want to be part of that, then don’t show up."
Police say a crowd barricaded and tried to set fire to a precinct with officers still inside it Wednesday night. Protesters also aimed green lasers at officers, threw shot put-sized rocks at them and fired commercial grade fireworks at them. At one point a demonstrator attempted to run over officers using a truck, police said.
A riot was declared and police used tear gas to clear the scene.
"The attack was immediate, it was intentional, and it was planned. It was intended to cause serious injury or death, and it very well could have," Mr. Wheeler said in a Zoom presser.
He and other local officials had insisted things would calm down once Homeland Security curtailed its presence at the federal courthouse downtown, giving the lead over to state police.
That transition happened a week ago, and the downtown area, while still the scene of large marches, has been much quieter. But the violence has now shifted to target local police.
Mr. Wheeler said trying to burn the precinct with officers inside it was attempted murder.
The Oregonian newspaper reported that the fire was contained in a metal garbage can, though it did char a board near the precinct entrance.
Mr. Wheeler said the use of tear gas to disperse the crowd was the right call.

The lasers some rioters are using are true lasers, powerful enough that gu ou cannot hold your hand in front of them for more than about a second. This is according to Ted Cruz, I believe.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish-backed murderous Moslems launched a surprise attack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) troops deployed inside the town of Tadef in the eastern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate last night.
Led by Jaish al-Nasr, the Ottoman Turkish-backed murderous Moslems launched an attack on the Syrian Army’s post at the northern axis of Tadef from their positions at nearby al-Bab.
This attack by the Ottoman Turkish-backed murderous Moslems would result in a series of intense festivities that involved both heavy gunfire and shelling.
According to a field report from eastern Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Army was able to foil the attack by the Ottoman Turkish-backed holy warriors, forcing them to ultimately retreat back towards al-Bab.
The Ottoman Turkish-backed murderous Moslems have become increasingly aggressive in eastern Aleppo, northern al-Raqqa, and western al-Hasakah, prompting the Syrian Armed Forces to deploy reinforcements to these fronts.
Prior to this attack, the Ottoman Turkish-backed murderous Moslems repeatedly struck the Syrian Army’s positions in al-Hasakah, which is a violation of the ongoing ceasefire agreement east of the Euphrates.

Lebanon president says he knew of highly explosive material at Beirut's port in July
[Al Ahram] Lebanese President Michel Aoun ...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah... knew about the huge stockpile of kaboom stored at Beirut's port nearly three weeks before it blew up, he said Friday, adding he had ordered action be taken about it at the time, although the top leader also said he had no authority over the facility."Do you know how many problems have been accumulating?" Aoun replied when a news hound pressed whether he should have followed up on his order.
Aoun's comments were the most senior confirmation that Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... 's top leaders and security officials were aware of the 2,750 tons of highly explosive ammonium nitrate that had been stored at the port for years.
The chemicals went kaboom! Tuesday after apparently being set off by a fire, in a massive blast that killed nearly 150 people, maimed thousands and caused billions of dollars of damage across the city. Bodies were still being recovered from the rubble on Friday.
Investigators are probing the blast and have focused on personnel at the Port of Beirut - Lebanon's main port that is so well known for corruption its common nickname is Ali Baba's Cave. But many Lebanese say it points to much greater rot that permeates the political system and extends to the country's top leadership.
Aoun, who has been in his post since 2016, said previous governments had known about the danger of the stockpile since it was confiscated from a ship impounded in 2013.
"The material had been there for seven years, since 2013. It has been there, and they said it is dangerous and I am not responsible. I don't know where it was placed. I don't even know the level of danger," Aoun told a news conference.
He said that when he was told of the stockpile June 20, he immediately ordered military and security officials "to do what is needed."
"There are ranks that should know their duties, and they were all informed. ... When you refer a document and say, `Do what is needed,' isn't that an order?" he added.

Also, do not close the window, do not run to see what just happened as it may still be happening, do get down, open your mouth but cover it and close your eyes.

I doubt the material was ever produced for peaceful agricultural purposes (sitting a bit too long). It has likely achieved it's intended purposes. The targeting was a bit off however, inshallah maintenance and storge.... no help.
In 1947, an explosion in Texas City, Texas, killed at least 581 people and wounded 3,500 after two cargo ships carrying ammonium nitrate caught fire. In 2013, a fertilizer plant in West, Texas, caught fire and exploded, killing 15 people. In 2015, disaster struck in Tianjin, China, when a fertilizer explosion killed 165 people at a busy seaport.
The cargo was intended for an ammunition factory but the skipping company diverted it to Beirut to pick up a cargo. It was stuck there due to a conflict about port fees. The cargo was on loaded into a warehouse where it sat for several years. During some elding at the warehouse it ignited...

Sounds like the people know it, but it's going g against the interests of the ruling caste to go along with it. Typical third world $hit. Oh, wait ....
Getting reports of two Lebanese nationals shot dead (believed to be an assassination) in Tehran tonight. We understand the incident took place on the same street as the house of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, who was assassinated along with Qassem Soleimani by the US in January.
Islamic Republic's Fars News Agency has confirmed the reports about the #assassination-style killing of two #Lebanese citizens in Tehran's Pasdaran Street. The eyewitnesses say the father and daughter were shot to death in their car by an assailant on a motorcycle.

[NYPOST] NYPD officers engaged in an hours-long stalemate with a cop-assault suspect Friday in Hell’s Kitchen — before Police Commissioner Dermot Shea ordered them to retreat as a stream of protesters arrived on the scene, law-enforcement sources told The Post. The top cop’s directive to give up — without the suspect in jug — left some NYPD insiders fuming, given the city’s recent concessions to unruly protesters.
"Another example of mob rules," an NYPD insider said.
Police massed on West 45th Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenue around 7 a.m. Friday to try to bring in the young protest organizer, who is accused of screaming through a bullhorn into the ear of a cop at a recent demonstration, leaving her with hearing damage, sources said.
Dozens of cops, some dressed in tactical gear, flooded the scene but couldn’t actually enter the protester’s apartment because they didn’t have a warrant, sources said.
While refusing to come out, the suspect began live-streaming the battle of wills online, sending fellow protesters racing to the scene.
