[NYPOST] A Nevada county sheriff told a local library not to bother calling 911 for help after it expressed support for Black Lives Matter, according to a report.In a statement of diversity and inclusion, the Douglas County public library denounced "all acts of violence, racism and disregard for human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... ," The Reno Gazette-Journal reported. "A social worker is standing by to take your call!"
"We support #BlackLivesMatter," the statement, drafted by the county’s board of library trustees, continued. "We resolutely assert and believe that all forms of racism, hatred, inequality and injustice don’t belong in our society."
But the message prompted Douglas County Sheriff Dan Coverley to post a sharply worded open letter on the sheriff’s office website, the Gazette-Journal reported.
"Due to your support of Black Lives Matter and the obvious lack of support or trust with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, please do not feel the need to call 911 for help," Coverley wrote.
"I wish you good luck with disturbances and lewd behavior, since those are just some of the recent calls my office has assisted you with in the past."
"Numerous Black Lives Matter protests have resulted in violence, property damage and the closing of local businesses, sometimes permanently," the sheriff added. "To support this movement is to support violence and to openly ask for it to happen in Douglas County."
The draft diversity statement was supposed to be considered by the board of trustees at a Tuesday meeting, but that discussion was tabled "due to [an] overwhelming amount of community response," county spokeswoman Melissa Blosser told the outlet.
Coverley and Library Director Amy Dodson met for a discussion on Tuesday, and then issued a joint statement on the matter.
Coverley said his initial reaction to the diversity statement "was rooted in my belief that these issues need to be openly discussed in a way that values diversity and law enforcement."
"This has been a difficult time to be a law enforcement professional and can be disheartening when we perceive that our office may be under attack," he added.
Dodson chalked up the conflict to "an unfortunate circumstance of misunderstanding." "I was in need of Social Virtue Signalling and he wasn't"
"The library respects and supports the work of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and appreciates everything they do to keep our community safe," she added.

I live in Gardnerville and the Sheriff is overwhelmingly supported here. This is a very conservative and quiet little area at the bottom of the Carson Valley, well out of the insanity roiling the urban areas. This is a foolish act by a petty local bureaucrat at the library board in response to a single persons urging by a BLM supporter from Carson City. The Sheriff reacted emotionally and in keeping with the overwhelming opinion of his voters, but gained national attention and waved a red cape in front of the revolutionary Antifa crowd two hours away over the Sierra Nevada mountains in Sacramento. Dammit, I’m too old d for this crap but it seems the BS found me even here.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Kuwait’s Minister of Finance Barrak al-Sheetan issued a ministerial resolution for setting up a panel to examine the amendment of the country’s money laundering and terrorism financing law, state news agency KUNA reported on Tuesday.
The move comes after recent reports of arresting a group of 10 social media influencers who were investigated for money laundering and the authorities took several actions against them as the investigations continue.

Al-Sheetan told KUNA the panel "will examine shortcomings in existing legislations and propose adequate modifications to enhance efficiency of the financial inspection team personnel, back up their independence, boost their jurisdictions and tools for attaining the aspired objective."
INFLUENCERS PURSUED IN KUWAIT
Earlier this week, Kuwait’s Attorney General ordered the immediate seizure of all the assets of the 10 social media influencers charged with money laundering and banned them from travel, according to local media.
The central bank froze the 10 suspects’ bank accounts and the Ministry of Interior circulated their names to all authorities at land border crossings and airports to ensure they cannot flee.
Leading Kuwaiti newspaper, al-Qabas released the names of the 10 influencers accused of money laundering, citing an unnamed source, they are: Fouz al-Fahad, Abdulwahab al-Essa, Dana al-Tuwarish, Mishari Buyabis, Halema Bouland, Maryam Reda, Farah Hadi, Jamal al-Najada, Shifa al-Kharaz, and Yaqub Boushehri.
The newspaper cited sources close to the current investigation as saying that the total balances of the 10 suspects’ frozen accounts amounted to approximately 30 million dinars ($98 million), while the value of the personal assets of some of them is six times that amount.
The report listed some of those assets as real estate in Kuwait and abroad, rare jewelry, yachts, and expensive watches.
Kuwait’s authorities did not issue an official public statement on the case yet, but the Ministry of Justice included several articles by local media reporting the developments of the investigation in its daily newsletter.

Eric Dupond-Moretti, appointed as French justice minister on July 6, was a well-known criminal defence lawyer before taking on his current role. A year and a half ago, he called for the repatriation of all Frenchies — men, women, and children.
Asked on French television in February 2019 if he supported the repatriation of French adults and children from Syria and Iraq, he responded with certainty. Trial there has led to the death penalty sentencing — illegal in La Belle France since 1981 — and Frenchies must face justice at home.
"Of course...we have to repatriate them, especially if they incur the death penalty, and judge them in La Belle France. They must have their right to a fair trial."
So noble and idealistic!
Anne, Lopez, and Riviere all expressed hope that Dupond-Moretti’s appointment would breathe new urgency into repatriations. Optimism is tempered, though, as former justice minister Nicole Belloubet had also issued strong statements backing the repatriation of Frenchies, saying that there was "no other choice" but to do so.
Refusal to repatriate all detainees appears to originate from the foreign ministry. Though foreign minister Le Drian recognised conditions at al-Hol as a "pressure cooker that risks exploding", he has since stubbornly, and so far, successfully, insisted on case-by-case repatriations. He actively sought the trial of French ISIS suspects held in Syria by Iraqi authorities, where some were sentenced to death and executed — though a long-term plan for this appears not to have materialised.
And there is the French pragmatism, without which the nobility has no rock to stand upon.
Liberation’s report detailed that the French government had a general repatriation plan in place at the beginning of 2019 for both suspected jihadists and their families, including 149 children — but one eye was always glued towards opinion surveys that indicated widespread French public hostility to repatriation of anyone linked to ISIS.
In the end, it is the public that will be knifed, shot up, exploded, gassed, and raped in the bathrooms and alleyways if these people are brought home, not their so-noble rulers.
FRANCE FEARS RADICALISATION
A 2019 survey for La Belle Franceinfo and Le Figaro found that two-thirds of the French public were against the repatriation of ISIS-linked children from camps in Syria, amid fears of the import of radicalised young people feeding into and replenishing networks of homegrown Islamic extremism.

[THEBAGHDADPOST] Britannia’s ambassador to Iraq has been targeted by a graphic propaganda campaign featuring an image of his bloodied face after he spoke out against militia groups which are strengthening their grip on the war-torn country. Stephen Hickey, who has served in the post since last September, was singled out by gunnies after he encouraged Iraq to turn its back on gangs that operate outside the law.
In response, one militia group with ties to the Iranian regime published a series of posts on the messaging app Telegram which warned the senior diplomat to keep his views to himself.
"Stop lying and mind your own business and represent your old country as a diplomat," reads one of the messages seen by the Telegraph. It was posted by Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, an Iraqi Shia militia group backed by Iran.
The warning was accompanied by two polaroid-style photographs of Mr Hickey which were edited so that his face and head were smeared with blood.
Founded in 2013, Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba reportedly has around 10,000 fighters and is subject to US sanctions.
Another message told the British ambassador to stop playing "malicious games" by addressing the issue of militia groups in Iraq, and a third warned him "not to intervene in issues that are bigger than you."

The US-imposed Caesar Act took effect in mid-June, installing sanctions against Syrian regime’s brass hats - including Assad and his wife - and regime-linked entities.
The sustained campaign of economic and political pressure is aimed at denying the Assad regime the revenue and support it has used to commit crimes against the Syrian people. However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... many argue it has exacerbated the economic hardships ordinary Syrian civilians are already facing.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a statement on Wednesday that they have sanctioned a list of 14 individuals and entities. The list includes Assad’s eldest son, Hafez, who was born in 2001.
"Today, the State Department and Treasury Department continued the United States’ sanctions campaign against the Assad regime by releasing 14 new designations under the Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act and other authorities," read the statement.
"We have named today’s tranche of designations the Hama and Maarat Al-Numan sanctions. These names are meant to memorialize the victims of two of the Assad regime’s most notorious atrocities, both of which occurred in this week in 2011 and 2019," it said, adding that both incidents took the lives of hundreds of Syrians.
The US deputy assistant secretary of state, Joel Rayburn, told the Guardian that Assad’s teenage son was targeted, because "there has been a trend of senior Syrian regime actors and business people who have been active in the regime to do business through their adult family members to evade sanctions."
"It seems very clear that the immediate family of Bashir al-Assad and their in-laws are attempting to consolidate economic power inside Syria so that they could use this to further consolidate political power," he added.
The Syrian foreign ministry slammed the implementation of the first batch of the sanctions last month, claiming it violates international law and norms.
"The US administration talking about human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... in Syria exceeds the ugliest forms of lies and hypocrisy as embodied in its policy of supporting terrorism that shed the blood of the Syrians and destroyed their achievements," it said.
Syria has been embroiled in unrest for much of the last nine years, since peaceful protests against Assad and his government escalated into a multi-sided civil war, involving multiple countries. Presently, the country is largely under the control of three main parties: regime-held areas, Kurdish-held areas and areas controlled by pro-The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor... murderous Moslems.
The Caesar Act is named after a former Syrian military photographer, who fled the country in 2014 with tens of thousands of images displaying the brutality and torture taking place in Assad regime jails.

I exposed Treene’s subservience to Muslim organizations linked to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood over eight years ago. What’s Eric Treene still doing there?
Back in January 2012, after receiving a huge box (in response to my Freedom of Information Act request) full of documents relating to the Justice Department’s interactions with Muslim groups linked to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, I wrote that what struck me almost immediately was the casual familiarity between the Muslim groups including the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which has admitted its ties to the Brotherhood and Hamas, although it claims that it is no longer connected with either, and senior officials of the Department of Justice, all the way up to Assistant Attorney General Tom Perez.
