staff ordered the crime lab to disassemble and reassemble the gun - allowing them to classify it as "capable of lethal use" in charging documents filed Monday....
In Missouri, police and prosecutors must prove that a weapon is "readily" capable of lethal use when it is used in the type of crime with which the McCloskeys have been charged.
Assistant Circuit Attorney Chris Hinckley ordered crime lab staff members to field strip the handgun and found it had been assembled incorrectly. Specifically, the firing pin spring was put in front of the firing pin, which was backward, and made the gun incapable of firing, according to documents obtained by 5 On Your Side.
Firearms experts then put the gun back together in the correct order and test-fired it, finding that it worked, according to the documents....
According to the report, crime lab workers photographed the disassembly and reassembly of the pistol.
The McCloskeys attorney, Joel Schwartz, told KSDK that the St. Louis couple intentionally misplaced the firing pin on the gun, rendering it inoperable. They turned the pistol in to their former attorney Al Watkins following the incident last month.
"It's disheartening to learn that a law enforcement agency altered evidence in order to prosecute an innocent member of the community," said Schwartz.
You may remember the case in which Katrina “Kitty” Sneed accused Greitens of taking naked pictures of her in order to blackmail her.
Greitens said:
“It’s clear that a Soros prosecutor and establishment insiders were desperate to overturn the 2016 election and this is just one more alleged example of the kind of perjury, evidence tampering and lies that they engaged in. We knew that national liberals and insiders were coming after us. Now it’s good that the whole world is beginning to see the truth.”

I know the prosecutor is elected, and I don't know Missouri law. But is there no one at the state level who can step in and stop all this?
My wife and I lived in St. Louis years ago and loved it; but we wouldn't move back now for love or money.

Tom, yesterday we had a report that the state attorney general was filing to dismiss charges against the McCloskeys. Going against Ms Gardner would be a subsequent step.

She has the Black Woman Gold Card (even though I'm not sure how many white people are in her gene pool, seems like a lot) and this close to an election, you are just asking for it. HOWEVER, the evidence techs who did the change are fully prosecutable, and their trial will allow them to post evidence and call witnesses, etc. I suspect a brave State investigator could start that process and let it be know that the discovery hearing will be with a wide net.....

If they were all in the bag, you wouldn't even know about this. Someone has a conscience and a pen and cellphone, so to speak. Thank God not everyone is rolling over for career expedience

[Jpost] Corbyn and allies pressed to keep their names out of apology.
The UK Labour Party apologized and agreed to pay damages to seven whistleblowers who sued the party for defamation after they were denounced for telling the BBC’s Panorama about antisemitism in the party, despite pressure from former party leader Jeremy Corbyn to fight the case.
The party’s apology was issued in the High Court, including an admission that it acted to sully the former employees’ reputations after they spoke out against the efforts of then-leader Corbyn’s team’s attempts to undermine internal investigations into antisemitism in the party.
"Before the broadcast of the program, the Labour Party issued a blurb that contained defamatory and false allegations about these whistleblowers," Labour’s apology read. "We acknowledge the many years of dedicated and committed service that the whistleblowers have given to the Labour Party as members and as staff. We appreciate their valuable contribution at all levels of the party. We unreservedly withdraw all allegations of bad faith, malice and lying."
The party added: "We would like to apologize unreservedly for the distress, embarrassment and hurt caused by their publication. We have agreed to pay them damages."
Corbyn, his top adviser Seumas Milne and former Labour secretary-general Jennie Formby instructed lawyers, paid for by the UK’s largest labor union, Unite, to try to stop the party from settling the lawsuit, The Jewish Chronicle reported. They also sought to find out whether they were mentioned in the apology statement before it was read in court.
The former Labour leader reacted to the apology on Facebook, calling the decision political and not legal, and writing that "Labour Party members have a right to accountability and transparency of decisions taken in their name."
The settlement "risks giving credibility to misleading and inaccurate allegations about action taken to tackle antisemitism in the Labour Party in recent years," Corbyn wrote.
"Is Labour Antisemitic?" the Panorama episode that aired in July 2019, featured former Labour officials reporting a spike in antisemitism complaints after Corbyn was elected party leader in 2015.
They said senior party members who were close to Corbyn tried to obstruct their investigation into the complaints.
A Labour front man called the whistleblowers "disaffected former staff" grinding "personal and political axes" to hurt Corbyn.
Labour also apologized to John Ware, the journalist who reported on antisemitism in the party for Panorama.
"The BBC will always support fair and impartial reporting, exposing wrongdoing and holding power to account," The BBC Press Team said. "The ’Panorama’ program did precisely that, but was subject to an extraordinary and vitriolic attack by the Labour Party. We welcome today’s long overdue apology."
Current Labour leader Keir Starmer has said he is committed to rooting out antisemitism in the party.
He recently sacked his party’s shadow education secretary, MP Rebecca Long-Bailey, for praising an interview with the claim that Israel trained US police in the methods resulting in the murder of George Floyd.
Starmer said "the article contained antisemitic conspiracy theories" and that sharing it "was wrong."
Under Corbyn, Labour was repeatedly criticized for not doing enough to stamp out antisemitism within the party ranks.
Corbyn has made antisemitic remarks and participated in events honoring antisemites, such as laying a wreath on the graves of the holy warriors who tortured and killed Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
The total amount of the damages wasn’t disclosed. But the Guardian reported that the settlement cost Labour some £600,000 ($760,000), with about £180,000 in damages for the eight individuals. “The settlement is believed to be an unprecedented case of a political party libeling a journalist and former employees,” it said.
[AnNahar] Former British intelligence officer Remington Christopher Steele testified Wednesday that he never intended for his 2016 compilation of unverified reports about Russia's links to Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... to go public.
No? How very odd, given his actions.
Steele is facing a defamation lawsuit in London's High Court from tech entrepreneur Aleksej Gubarev over BuzzFeed's publication of the dossier just 10 days before Trump's January 2017 inauguration.

The Primary Sub-Source for Steele Dossier Identified – Igor Danchenko – a Soros Connected Associate of Lying Schiff Star Witness Fiona Hill In November 2019, the star witness for the Democrat Representative Adam Schiff’s impeachment show trial was announced. Her name was Fiona Hill.
Today we’ve uncovered that Hill is a close associate of the Primary Sub-Source (PSS) for the Steele dossier – Igor Danchenko – the individual behind most all the lies in the Steele dossier. No wonder Hill saw the Steele dossier before it was released. Her associate created it.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.), whose failed presidential campaign flamed out before any primary votes were cast, is a top contender to be Joe Biden's running mate in 2020. Curiously enough, negative stories about Harris's potential rivals for the VP slot have been popping up of late in mainstream media outlets. Imagine that.
Biden's promise to select a female running mate, along with the increasing pressure to pick a woman of color, has left the former vice president with limited options. Only two women of color—Harris and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.)—campaigned for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Despite her failings as a candidate, Harris is widely considered the favorite thanks to her relatively high profile compared with the other black women rumored to be on Biden's shortlist, such as Atlanta mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D.), Rep. Val Demings (D., Fla.), and Rep. Karen Bass (D., Calif.). In recent weeks, all three have had negative stories published about them—almost certainly the result of opposition research fed to reporters by a rival.
...Harris clearly wants the gig. Pretty much everyone does, given the likelihood that the elderly and cognitively declining Biden might not even serve a full term in office. Enough to be shopping oppo about the other black women under consideration? Obviously.

I've got Cherokee in my blood line and I'm not too proud of it. The Cherokees' kept slaves and came out for the Confederacy during the Civil War. Also they did have sex with their slaves. I've probably got more Black than a lot of the Zebras out there. So remember to take one up the behind for the tribe.

Actually and without snark, I would pick Val Demings if I were Biden. "Actual human being" or not. (And WTF does that mean?) Demings was an LEO, and that would send the right message to nervous suburban moms.
[FOXNEWS] Democratic Rep. Bobby Rush on Wednesday accused President Trump of wanting to "instigate a race war" so he could say he was the "grand wizard of the Klu Klux Klan.""That's Trump's game plan. Trump wants to instigate a race war," the Illinois Democrat claimed during an appearance on "The Joe Madison Show" on SiriusXM Wednesday morning. "So he can rise up and say, 'I'm the real grand wizard of the Klu Klux Klan and I'm the President. Reelect me.' That's what he's trying to do.
"He's trying to play to the fears, to the racial animus that exists among certain White people, and he will do everything and anything to do that, because he wants to be reelected at all costs," Rush continued.
Rush, who represents reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... , made the remarks after radio host Joe Madison asked him about federal law enforcement agents potentially being deployed to his city to quell unrest and violence.
"We don’t need federal agents, we need federal aid," Rush told Madison. "Send some money to create jobs, that will do more to curtail outrage and violence in Chicago than any federal troops or federal agents could possibly do. Send aid, don’t send federal agents."
Last month, amid criticism of the president’s handling of mass protests following the death of George Floyd, Rush called Trump the "worst thing to happen to the American presidency."

[BREITBART] Earlier this week, during an online forum hosted by USA Today editor Susan Page on behalf of the Aspen Institute, Washington Post columnist George Will revealed he planned for the first time to vote for a Democrat in this year’s presidential election.
Tuesday on MSNBC’s "The Last Word," Will explained his decision to show host Lawrence O’Donnell. He urged Democrats to be "nervous" to prevent the unexpected, as it had in 2016 for Trump.
The day after, I will be in the corner saying, oh, gosh, we’ve got to stop some of these Biden policies. That’s the job of a normal loyal opposition, but what’s happened is Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... has vice of presidential fastidiousness. I used to say. I can’t root for this guy because he is wrong on the capital gains tax. I can’t vote for him because he is wrong on the tax marginal tax rate.
I don’t care right now. Let’s just get back, as I say, to something like normal politics. And if your party, Lawrence, had in the 1980s had nominated Pat Moynihan, they nominated Scoop Jackson, I would had had a record of voting for a Democrat before.

RINO? The snobbery of a patrician "Country Club Republican" oozes from George Will -- "How dare the unwashed masses elect a crass merchant class buffoon, how dare they !?!"
#8
Biden is nothing more than a figurehead/placeholder for the left to ruin America. There is no other reason to support a senile hair sniffing corrupt racist politician.
#9
This is the terrorism of the Democrat position working. Same thing has happened before, conservatives are unnerved by the constant hostility and will do anything to make the noise stop. Democrats know this, that is part of the plan.
Then there is also the fact that Will is a foreign policy guy and Trump has ended all those fun wars.
#12
Best part of the Trump presidency is outing all the hacks who have held themselves out as conservatives. We are much, much better off without you George!
#13
Goeirge is a sheep. He would rather live under communism because its normal. He would rather live under leaders like Pelosi who at $175k a year job is now worth $40 million! Or Biden who helped his son sell America to the highest bidder. George is a coward, and should go sit down while the big boys finish this.

This article tactic was called like 2 years ago.
But was supposed to be more like September/October, but a fairly limp premature articulation is to be expected.

George Will is one of those outdated old men who still think being a republican is about limiting the role of government and practicing fiscal responsibility.

Neither of which is remotle what Biden and the communists behind him plan to do, Will just hates Trump because he's messy, coarse, a vulgarian, and rude in his straightforward manner of answering questions. Sorry George, he may be all those things, but he's also an America First Patriot and right on almost every issue threatening the nation. For that, I forgive his flaws, even his rambling manner of speaking, which makes Will nuts. I imagine Will is a prissy old cat owner with nice needlepoint on the antiques?

[NYPOST] If you live in the suburbs or you’re a city dweller eyeing a move to a quiet cul-de-sac where your kids can play outside, you need to know about Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.... ’s plan for a federal takeover of local zoning laws.
The ex-veep wants to ramp up an Obama-era social engineering scheme called Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing that mercifully barely got underway before President Trump took office, vowing to stop it.
Biden’s plan is to force suburban towns with single-family homes and minimum lot sizes to build high-density affordable housing smack in the middle of their leafy neighborhoods — local preferences and local control be damned.
Starting in 2015, President Barack Obama I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody... ’s Department of Housing and Urban Development floated a cookie-cutter requirement for "balanced housing" in every suburb. "Balanced" meant affordable even for people who need federal vouchers. Towns were obligated to "do more than simply not discriminate," as a 2013 HUD proposal explained. Rather, towns had to make it possible for low-income minorities to choose suburban living and provide "adequate support to make their choices possible."
Had the rule been implemented nationwide, towns everywhere would have had to scrap zoning, build bigger water and sewer lines to support high-density living, expand schools and social services and add mass transit. All pushing up local taxes. Towns that refused would lose their federal aid.
The rule was one of the worst abuses of the Obama-Biden administration — a raw power grab masquerading as racial justice.
In Westchester, County Executive Rob Astorino battled the Obama-Biden administration for years, successfully resisting the baseless smear of racism. Zoning laws limit what can be built in a neighborhood in neutral fashion, Astorino explained, not who can live there.
To be absolutely clear, denying anyone the chance to rent or buy a home because of their race is abhorrent and illegal. It should be prosecuted whenever it still happens.
African Americans have been steadily leaving inner cities and choosing suburban lifestyles, according to Brookings Institution data. Many families — of all races — want the peace of mind of letting their kids ride bikes around quiet neighborhood streets. That’s what zoning laws provide.
The real barrier to suburban living is money. Living in the ’burbs isn’t cheap. HUD Secretary Ben Carson ... a neurosurgeon who was under the delusion that being brilliant qualifies him to be president.... told a House committee last May that "people can only afford to live in certain places." It’s "not because George Wallace is blocking the door."
Biden and the equality warriors are using accusations of racism to accomplish something different. Their message is: You worked and saved to move to the suburbs, but you can’t have that way of life unless everyone else can, too.
Count on Trump to make Biden’s war on the suburbs a key issue in the election. In his Rose Garden news conference Thursday, the president came out swinging, warning that Biden would "totally destroy the beautiful suburbs" by "placing far-left Washington babus bureaucrats in charge of local zoning."
In response, the left and its media allies played the race card. As usual. On MSNBC, Princeton University Professor Eddie Glaude Jr. said, "I hear the words of a racist." CNN ...formerly the Cable News Network, now who knows what it might stand for... accused the president of fearmongering "white suburban voters." But it’s CNN that is being racist — by assuming that only whites own homes in the suburbs.
Trump is talking to suburban homeowners of all ethnicities. If you buy a house in a neighborhood with quarter-acre zoning, you don’t want a high-density housing complex built at the end of the street.
The president won the suburbs in 2016, but polls show Trump trailing in the suburbs largely because of opposition from women. They need to focus on what’s at stake for their families.
