[Breitbart.com] Iranian militia leader Hadi al-Amiri, one of several identified as leading an attack on the U.S. embassy in Baghdad on Tuesday, reportedly visited the White House in 2011 during the presidency of Barack Obama.
On Tuesday, a mob in Baghdad attacked the U.S. embassy in retaliation against last weekend’s U.S. airstrikes against the Iran-backed Shiite militia Kataib Hezbollah (KH), responsible for killing an American civilian contractor. KH is one of a number of pro-Iran militias that make up the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF/PMU), which legally became a wing of the Iraqi military after fighting the Sunni Islamic State terrorist group.
President Donald Trump has since accused Iran of having "orchestrated" the embassy attack and stated that the government would be "held fully responsible."
A uniformed militia fighter on the scene in Baghdad told Kurdish news service Rudaw that attacks were also planned against the U.S. consulates in Erbil and Basra, with the goal of destroying the consulates and killing everyone inside.
Thanks for the heads up, guys. We’ll take it under advisement, as they say.

A backgrounder: Hadi el-Ameri is well known to the US. Former head of Badr Brigade he was Transport Minister under Maliki, and one of the signs that an American retreat from Iraq would end badly. But Obama had his own plans and believed Iran could be won over. The Shia overplayed their hand and the Baathists responded with ISIS who were met by the Asayeb militias, the Hashd al-Shaabi of Ameri. That leaves us where we are now: fighting Iran through its proxies in Iraq. Interesting to see The Iraqi Street pronouncing anti-Iran sentiments leading to the assaults on Iranian consulates in Kerbala, Najaf, Basra among broader interests. PM Abdul Mahdi is now a lame duck while the government sits in limbo.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Iraqi President Barham Saleh condemned the attack on the US embassy in a statement on Tuesday, saying that it is an attack on Iraq’s illusory sovereignty before any other party.
The President also said that the attempt is a violation of international agreements binding to the Iraqi government.
Iraqi Speaker of the Council of Representatives Mohammed al-Halbousi also said US embassy attack is an "unaccepted behavior," adding that it harms Iraq’s interests and hurts the image of the Iraqi people.
"The attempt to break into the US embassy and attack its building is an unaccepted behavior that harms Iraq’s interests and hurts the image of our people," al-Halbousi said in a tweet on Tuesday.
"I call on the government to reaffirm its commitment to legal obligations to protect diplomatic missions," he added.
Hundreds of angry supporters of an Iran-backed Iraqi Shia militia broke down the US embassy gate door on Tuesday, storming inside the compound as gunshots and sirens rang out.

Excuse me, anyone still remember Benghazi. I label this one 'epic failure.' Yes, that would be 'intelligence failure.'
WTF to do: How about some foking human intelligence reporting, area security, surveillance, quick response force (QRF)...besides elements of a Ready Brigade from Fort Bragg.
Lastly, perhaps the Chief of Station (COS) needs an extended New Year's holiday and trip to the Oval Office along with Director Haspel.

Scenario: Trump sends message to the people of Iran's Arabistan and Kharg complex: Be warned, we will give you 48 hours to evacuate your petroleum complex. It will be destroyed, and Iran will have suffered the consequences, if your government continues its warlike actions against the United States. -- Iranian threats cease within 24 hours.

However they forgot that neither Obama or Carter wis president so there was no surrender.

At least 18 Iranian small boats were photographed on December 4 sailing alongside the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, US military confirms
The strike group which sailed through Strait of Hormuz consists of aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln; the USS Leyte Gulf; and the USS Farragut
The images, which were taken by a private company using commercial satellites, shows a few of the Iranian boats get as close as 1,000ft to the American vessels
US military says that the Iranian boats acted within 'normal behavior patterns', contradicting claims by pro-Iran media that the ships 'harassed' US vessels
The Strait of Hormuz is considered the world's most important oil artery as about a fifth of the world's oil passes through

[IsraelTimes] Military officials say Thomas Grafton
Do keep up, Ay Pee: it was corrected to Grafton Thomas on the first day.
was removed from service in 2002 for ’fraudulent enlistment;’ lawyer says he suffered wrist injury.
The man charged with stabbing five people during a Hanukkah celebration in New York began boot camp to enter the US Marine Corps but was separated from the service a month later for "fraudulent enlistment," military officials said Tuesday.
A Marine Corps spokeswoman would not provide details on why Grafton Thomas left the Marines as a recruit in late 2002, about a month after he started training.
"Those specifics are administrative in nature and therefore information we are required to keep private," Capt. Karoline Foote told The News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

Federal prosecutors filed hate crime charges against Thomas on Monday, accusing the 37-year-old of using a machete to wound five people inside the home of a rabbi in Monsey, New York, north of New York City.
A criminal complaint said at least one of the victims was at death's door with a skull fracture. That man remained at death's door Tuesday, said former New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind.
Thomas is being held without bail. He was charged with five federal counts of obstructing the free exercise of religious beliefs by attempting to kill with a dangerous weapon. He also has pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." to five state counts of attempted murder and one count of burglary.
Military law defines fraudulent enlistment as a "knowingly false representation or deliberate concealment as to" a recruit’s qualifications. That could involve a recruit failing to disclose certain medical conditions, past drug use or an arrest record, including cases that are sealed because the recruit was a juvenile or for other reasons.
When he was still in high school, Thomas was arrested in Brooklyn after police found him with a gun, recalled Joseph Burden, then his coach on a neighborhood football team.
Thomas had been heading home from practice with friends when they came across a gun and picked it up, with the intention of turning it in to the authorities for buyback money, Burden said.
Thomas was arrested with it on his way home, said Burden, who went to court and wrote a letter to support Thomas in the case. Sussman confirmed the arrest in an email to The AP, saying the firearm had been found in a park.
The case ultimately was closed without punishment, Burden added, with the judge giving Thomas a chance to go through with his plans to graduate from high school and enter the military. Sussman said the case was dismissed.

If that's true they need to change the rules to get the info out as soon as there is a positive ID and the Marines are being connected with a pyscho.
