I hadn't been keeping track of Carlos Ghosn lately except I heard it implied somewhere that he probably wouldn't have been indicted if he hadn't have gone on in a speech about how much money Nissan was losing making the Leaf.
(Which is sad, in a way, because if I had to drive an electric car, I'd rather have a Leaf than a Tesla, if for no other reason than the doors, never mind that I like Nissan).
[NYPOST] A top deputy to city schools Chancellor Richard Carranza was busted in Wisconsin for allegedly trying to arrange sex with an underage boy online, police and sources told The Post.
Department of Education Deputy Chief of Staff David Hay was arrested getting off at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee Sunday on a charge of using a computer "to facilitate a child sex crime," according to Neenah, Wisconsin, cops.
He allegedly intended to meet with a minor boy for sex, sources said.
Hay, who remained behind bars pending a bail hearing Monday, had been under investigation for several months, sources said.
Under Wisconsin law, the charge Hay was booked on is defined as someone who "uses a computerized communication system to communicate with an individual who the actor believes or has reason to believe has not attained the age of 16 years with intent to have sexual contact or sexual intercourse with the individual."
The senior DOE administrator, who earns $168,000 annually, works with Carranza’s office on the DOE’s Equity and Excellence initiative, according to his LinkedIn page.
The Wisconsin native served as a principal in the Milwaukee area before being hired by the DOE as Special Assistant to the Chancellor in May 2016 under then-Chancellor Carmen Farina.

[NYPOST] A cancer patient went up in flames during surgery in Romania ‐ when doctors used an alcohol-based disinfectant, then touched her with an electric scalpel, according to a new report.
The unidentified 66-year-old woman died a week after she was seriously burned in the botched procedure, which took place in Bucharest on Dec. 22, the BBC reported.
The woman, who was suffering from pancreatic cancer, was undergoing an operation at Floreasca Hospital when surgeons used the flammable disinfectant, according to the report.
When they later started using an electric scalpel and it came in contact with the alcohol, she caught on fire ‐ suffering burns to 40% of her body, the BBC says.
She passed away at the hospital Sunday and police are probing her death, Romanian outlets reported.
The woman’s family told local media that hospital officials only informed them that "an accident" had occurred ‐ but never elaborated or explained the "gravity of the situation."

[DETROIT.CBSLOCAL] A semi packed with pickles crashed into a Fenton overpass and burst into flames Thursday, according to officials.
Police say the driver only had minor injuries from the crash and believe the truck had a steering wheel malfunction which caused the driver lost control of the truck and ran into the side of an overpass bridge.
A large plume of dark smoke could be seen from the highway and the Michigan Department of Transportation inspected the overpass once the debris was cleared, but authorities admitted cleaning up the scene was a bit of a mess.

A steering wheel malfunction? Maybe it was the nut holding the wheel.
[MedicalXpress] A Bangladesh hospital has suspended plans to give donated breast milk to babies after a backlash by Muslim clerics who said the scheme violated Islamic law.
The programme aimed to feed up to 500 orphans and infants of working mothers in the Muslim-majority country, which has high rates of child malnutrition and stunted growth.
Bangladesh's top Islamic leadership has not yet made a ruling on the milk bank, but it was halted after critics said the plan could lead to breaches of Sharia law if two babies drank milk from the same mother and later married.
"Their entire marriage and lineage would become illegal," said Gazi Ataur Rahman, a spokesman of the influential Islami Andolan Bangladesh political party.
Another Islamist, Ahmed Abdul Kaiyum, said Sharia law did not allow for milk banks.
"It would go against Islam," he said, suggesting that the authorities should have discussed this "very sensitive issue" beforehand with clerics.
STRICT SAFEGUARDS
Prominent Islamic cleric Fariduddin Masoud struck a conciliatory note, however, saying authorities should find out if and how Muslim majority nations such as Pakistan, Iran, Iraq and Malaysia have set up human milk banks.
"We should see how they have solved the issue. We should sit together to find a solution," he said.
The milk bank in Dhaka was slated to start this month, but project co-ordinator Mojibur Rahman said it had been delayed indefinitely because of the "widespread criticism".
He added that the hospital had set up strict safeguards for the scheme.
"We collect and preserve milk separately and rigorously record (donor) identities," he told AFP on Monday, a day after the milk bank's suspension was announced.
Top child specialists had backed the milk bank, saying it was needed to help save child lives as well as aid their growth.
"Human milk banks are essential for orphans and critically ill children, especially to save the lives of the babies who are being treated at the hospital's intensive care unit and whose mothers are not available," said Mahbubul Haque, a top doctor at Dhaka's main children's hospital.
"Milk banks are established in major hospitals in the West. We should set up more such banks in all our top hospitals for children," he told AFP.
Some 90 percent of Bangladesh's 168 million people are Muslim.
[PJMedia] Out of Britain comes the ultimate topsyturvy transgender story: a transgender "man" gave birth with sperm from a transgender "woman," directed by a transgender doctor. Yet the mother's words about pregnancy, motherhood, and femininity may prove the most shocking and tragic.
"I don’t think pregnancy is the ultimate female experience, therefore it didn’t challenge me as a man," 39-year-old Reuben Sharpe, the mother who identifies as a man, told Britain's Daily Mirror. "I actually liked my pregnant body and liked being bigger. It was very affirming and I really enjoyed it – I’m a man and I get pregnant. There’s a lot of changes to go through but I felt free of that."

So a woman who considers herself a man had a baby which is biologically normal because she's still a woman with all the woman parts.
The father is a man who considers himself a woman but still had the biological parts necessary to donate the sperm when necessary.
The doctor is transgendered without mention of the pronouns but it doesn't matter. The doctor is aware of the necessary pronouns to call a man a woman and a woman a man to make this seem like something special when really it isn't.

Eh. Your not a man. If you have the equipment to gestate a fetus you are a *female*. Just as the 'transgener woman' is not a woman if she can donate sperm - she is a male.
Biology matters!

[Yahoo] When hackers began slipping into computer systems at the Office of Personnel Management in the spring of 2014, no one inside that federal agency could have predicted the potential scale and magnitude of the damage. Over the next six months, those hackers — later identified as working for the Chinese government — stole data on nearly 22 million former and current American civil servants, including intelligence officials.
The data breach, which included fingerprints, personnel records and security clearance background information, shook the intelligence community to its core. Among the hacked information’s other uses, Beijing had acquired a potential way to identify large numbers of undercover spies working for the U.S. government. The fallout from the hack was intense, with the CIA reportedly pulling its officers out of China. (The director of national intelligence later denied this withdrawal.)
Personal data was being weaponized like never before. In one previously unreported incident, around the time of the OPM hack, senior intelligence officials realized that the Kremlin was quickly able to identify new CIA officers in the U.S. Embassy in Moscow — likely based on the differences in pay between diplomats, details on past service in “hardship” posts, speedy promotions and other digital clues, say four former intelligence officials. Those clues, they surmised, could have come from access to the OPM data, possibly shared by the Chinese, or some other way, say former officials.
The OPM hack was a watershed moment, ushering in an era when big data and other digital tools may render methods of traditional human intelligence gathering extinct, say former officials. It is part of an evolution that poses one of the most significant challenges to undercover intelligence work in at least a half century — and probably much longer.

"Among the hacked information’s other uses, Beijing had acquired a potential way to identify large numbers of undercover spies working for the U.S. government." Just another intelligence failure.

They can't spy on other countries but they're super effective at spying on American citizens. Sounds like the average shithole country intelligence agency whose primary job is to keep the ruling class in power.

[Breitbart] Australian tennis great Margaret Court hit out at transgender athletes on Sunday and branded the teaching of LGBT rights as "of the devil."
The 77-year-old, who won a record 24 Grand Slam singles titles, made the comments while giving a sermon at her Victory Life Church in the Australian city of Perth.
Addressing the issue of trans athletes competing in male or female sports, the Christian pastor said: "You know with that LGBT, they’ll wish they never put the T on the end of it because, particularly in women’s sports, they’re going to have so many problems."
She also claimed children as young as seven were beginning to change gender, adding: "It’s so wrong at that age because a lot of things are planted in this thought realm and they start to question, ’what am I?’
"You know, even that LGBT in the schools, it’s of the devil, it’s not of God..."
Court is known as an opponent of gay unions and stated in the past that lesbianism on the women’s tour has a corrupting influence on young players, as Breitbart Sports reported.
Twelve-times grand slam champion Billie Jean King last year called for Court’s name stripped to be from the Australian Open showcourt in Melbourne because Court’s views on sexuality, including the claim that "tennis is full of lesbians", are offensive to her.

[Red State] - You may remember the story of Tiffany Harris, the woman who allegedly committed one of the at least nine anti-Semitic assaults in New York City during Hanukkah.
Harris allegedly hit three Orthodox Jewish women in the face on the street in Brooklyn, yelling ’F‐k you, Jews!" as she attacked them.
She was arrested but then released without bail on Saturday because of the new bail law that wouldn’t permit the judge to hold her with a bail. This was a despite admitting to the crime according to the police and having an open charge against her from November of harassment and assault.
On Sunday, she was arrested again after she slugged another woman in the face in front of her two children, according to the New York Post.
She was charged with assault, menacing and endangering the welfare of a child.
But on Monday, she walked free again, in spite of everything. Again, because of the nature of the bail law,
...which apparently goes into effect tomorrow, but Hizzoner made it clear upon passage that he expected judges not to wait...
there wasn’t much the judge or the prosecutor could do. Eventually, she'll attack a wrong person, end up dead or severely damaged - and them MSM and grifters "African American" leaders will have a field day screeching about racism and demanding more funds for "African Americans"
