NeverTrumper adviser to Prez campaigns of McStain and Yeb! JULEANNA GLOVER sez:
A secret impeachment ballot might sound crazy, but it’s actually quite possible. In fact, it would take only three senators to allow for that possibility. And:
...according to current Senate procedure, McConnell will still need a simple majority‐51 of the 53 Senate Republicans‐to support any resolution outlining rules governing the trial. That means that if only three Republican senators were to break from the caucus, they could block any rule they didn’t like. (Vice President Mike Pence can’t break ties in impeachment matters.) Those three senators, in turn, could demand a secret ballot and condition their approval of the rest of the rules on getting one After some more blather she closes her first draft with:
And if Trump were to leave office before the end of the year, there might even be enough time for Republicans to have a vibrant primary fight, resulting in a principled Republican as the nominee. That's adorable. She thinks there will still be a viable GOP if they go along with this. And that the Dems won't demand more blood for Baal.
Your "conservative leadership", ladies and gentlemen.

And people could also use the "the against all enemies both foreign and domestic" to remove a great many Democrats and other leftists from office the hard way.
An item from the Times of Israel liveblog, which today is almost entirely about Palestinian Islamic Jihad rockets from Gaza.
[IsraelTimes] While Israel is focused on rocket attacks and fighting with Islamic Jihad in Gaza, the US is awaiting the start of the televised portion of impeachment hearings against US President Donald Trump.
The hearings are set to kick off at 10 a.m. (5 p.m. Israel time) and promise to provide plenty of drama for those looking for a break from rocket sirens and the like.
Bill Taylor, the acting US ambassador to Ukraine, has arrived on Capitol Hill to testify.
CNN is broadcasting live here, in case you want to watch or post the YouTube thingy in comments for the rest of us, dear Reader. Or just click on the headline to watch for yourself — the video can be seen there, too.

Cult of Gaia. They have devolved to believe that it's best for millions to just fucking die, to unburden their 'precious' earth mother. I'll bet these are all children of idiot women who played with wicca and 'shrooms while they raised them.

So now the climate hysterics are dropping the pretense that it's based on science. They now admit that it's just what their critics said, a religious movement.
And now the Deep Staters are dropping the pretense that they're trying to save democracy. They now admit that it's just what their critics said, a coup.
Looks like a trend: calling things by their rightful names. Clarifying.

A deep state with an official state religion. What do you think you are, Catholic? Soviet, maybe? I mean, Muslims usually never achieve a deep state because of how violent and war-torn their countries are.
[WND] PALM BEACH, Florida -- As Democrats prepare for televised hearings this week in connection with their effort to impeach President Donald Trump, the congressman leading the charge to oust the commander in chief is being publicly slammed as a serial liar.
"Adam Schiff is a lying sack of excrement!" radio talk-show his Rush Limbaugh exclaimed on his national broadcast Tuesday, adding that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi "chose a bug-eyed, lying sack of excrement to be the face of this."
"We've documented the lies," Limbaugh continued. "The guy and [Eric] Swalwell were inseparable in this. They both claim they've got evidence of Trump colluding with Russia. They both say it's clearly obvious, it's clearly visible, it's right there. They've never produced it 'cause they don't have it. Schiff is the guy who lied about the contents of Trump's phone call."
While many in the national news media have suggested this could be one of Trump's worst weeks in office because of the televised hearings, Limbaugh said it could be the opposite.
"This could end up being one of Trump's best weeks, because the curtain is now being pushed back," he explained.
"I think there are gonna be millions of Americans who are going to have the chance, anyway, who haven't been following this wall-to-wall like you and I have been, to see what a partisan sham this whole thing is."
[FOXNEWS] A newly filed complaint to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) alleges that the whistleblower whose allegations touched off House Democrats' impeachment inquiry may have violated federal law by indirectly soliciting more than a quarter-million dollars from mostly anonymous sources via a GoFundMe page.
The complaint, which was filed last week and obtained by Fox News, alleged the donations from roughly 6,000 individuals "clearly constitute" gifts to a current intelligence official that may be restricted because of the employee's official position pursuant to 5 CFR 2635.203 and other statutes. To date, the GoFundMe has raised over $227,000.
The complaint also raised the possibility that some of the donations may have come from prohibited sources, and asked the ICIG to look into whether any "foreign citizen or agent of a foreign government" contributed.
Tully Rinckey PLLC, the law firm representing the individual reporting the allegations, is closely guarding the identity of their client, though Fox News is told the individual is the holder of a top-secret SCI security clearance and has served in government.
"I have not seen anything on this scale," Anthony Gallo, the managing partner of Tully Rinckey PLLC, told Fox News, referring to the fundraising. "It's not about politics for my client -- it's whistleblower-on-whistleblower, and [my client's] only interest is to see the government ethics rules are being complied with government-wide."
Fox News reported in September that the nonprofit Whistleblower Aid worked with the whistleblower's attorneys at the Compass Rose Legal Group to start the GoFundMe.
The whistleblower's attorneys have called the GoFundMe a way to "help support the Intelligence Community Whistleblower [to] raise funds," and the GoFundMe page itself states that "A U.S. intelligence officer... needs your help" in the form of a "crowdfunding effort to support the whistleblower’s lawyers."
The fundraising page claims that "donations will only be accepted from U.S. citizens." But, the majority of the GoFundMe donors to the whistleblower's campaign were not named, and legal experts have told Fox News that the ICIG likely would need to subpoena the website to obtain more information on their origins.

Will there be a whistle blown on the whistleblower's whistleblower?
Definitely not progress; more like infinite regress..
I want to weigh what I did the day I met Mr. Wife...and a pony. Our odds are about equal.
[BREITBART] On Tuesday, former Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Crooked Hillary Clinton ...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... told BBC Radio 5 Live she was under "enormous pressure" to consider a 2020 White House run.
When asked about her future in politics, Clinton said, "I feel a sense of responsibility partly because you know my name was on the ballot, I got more votes, but ended up losing to the current incumbent in the White House who I think is really undermining our democracy in very fundamental ways. And I want to retire him."
When asked if she is absolutely ruling out a 2020 run, Clinton said, "I, as I say never, never, never say never. I will certainly tell you. I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it. But as of this moment, sitting here in this studio talking to you, that is absolutely not in my plans."

#4 My understanding is that the CF never was a legitimate charity and that it operated outside the boundaries of a charity.
It would be better described as a self-enrichment organization; in other words, a criminal organization. It was about power, money and in some cases other darker things.
The Central Intelligence Agency’s foundation, In-Q-Tel, serves as a venture capital tool to promote technology development for the CIA, functioning in a way that a government agency might not be able to do. By matching private investors and research institutes, In-Q-Tel provides unique private sector to private sector support for technologies that can presumably be delivered or sold to the CIA. According to its 2010 Form 990, In-Q-Tel “identifies and partners with companies to help deliver solutions to the Central Intelligence Agency and the broader U.S. intelligence community (IC) to further their missions.” There is nothing like In-Q-Tel in the nonprofit sector, and its history, in its own words, is worth reading.

The Clinton's, Brennan, Soetoro, Epstein are wired with the Klingons and Deep State. If anybody tries to flip over the CF rock, a second holocaust will likely ensue.
[BREITBART] Mark Sanford (SC-Applachian Trail) is ending his long-shot bid for president.
"I am suspending my race for the Presidency because impeachment has made my goal of making the debt, deficit and spending issue a part of this presidential debate impossible right now," Sanford announced his of his intention to exit the race after a brief presser in New Hampshire, an early primary state.
"From day one, I was fully aware of how hard it would be to elevate these issues with a sitting president of my own party ignoring them," he added. "Impeachment noise has moved what was hard to herculean as nearly everything in Republican party politics is currently viewed through the prism of impeachment."
Sanford entered the race in September, claiming that the GOP had "lost" its compass under President Trump and pledging to make national deficit solutions his primary campaign focus.
His departure still leaves former Illinois Rep. Joe Walsh and former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld as Republican primary candidates.

Dron66046, what is the URL for the Bin Laden/Krishna elephant article you submitted? You did all that work, but we won’t publish without a source to refer to.
VDH, as usual cuts through the bullshit [NY Post] There are at least 10 reasons why the Dem impeachment "inquiry" is really a coup.
1) Impeachment 24/7. The "inquiry," supposedly prompted by President Trump's Ukrainian call, is only the most recent coup seeking to overturn the 2016 election.

This impeachment show trial is bad for the country. Stalin would be proud. If allowed to continue, the presidency will be weakened for every president hereafter, both Dem and Pub. Future POTUS' will be knee-capped and unable to conduct any foreign or domestic policies. There will be no balance of power between the branches of government.
The outcome of any future elections dissatisfy someone; that is the nature of elections. The impeachment will begin after the election and swing into full effect during the transition period.
I hope wiser heads prevail in the House other than Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler and some of the other Dems who hate Trump. Why do they hate Trump? Because he outsmarted them and upset their plans.
They hate him because he tends to be successful in managing the Executive branch of the government. They hate him because he has gone about breaking up a criminal cabal in government. They hate him because he, an elected President, has the audacity to challenge the authority of an unelected part of the government. I hope he crushes this bunch of criminals.

All that is subsequent, JohnQC. “Have you heard his accent?” Thy hate him because he is not part of the political in-crowd. He went to the wrong school, studied the analytical subject of economics instead of a verbal subject like history or poli-sci, and is not a career politician. And they hate him for not losing gracefully, as a Republican should.

The betrayal of the office of the President of the United States by the Washington establishment is quite revealing. Having swam in those waters some years back, I am not quite sure why I am now surprised.
Strange about those people, once you leave the beltway they seldom write, they seldom call. It's a world unto itself.

(1) Win in a landslide (2) Prosecute those involved in the Coup. Put an honest liberal like Dershwitz in charge to keep the circus away from the functioning government. (3) Convince Trump to not opine on the thing until it plays out.

This is the second time the Democratic Party has tried to overthrow the United States government when free elections gave a result they didn't like. Are they going to get a chance at a third try?
[LegalInsurrection] Now that the 2020 election is a year away, the field of Democratic candidates should be shrinking, not expanding. Last week it was reported that Michael Bloomberg is thinking of jumping into the race.
Now former MA Governor Deval (Whoa! Nice drapes!) Patrick is said to be considering a run.
What does this say about confidence in the candidates who are already running?
