[DailyWire] Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) was recorded lashing out at both her constituents and the National Rifle Association (NRA) on Tuesday evening during a town hall aimed at curbing gun violence.
“This is why the NRA has got to go,” Stevens shouted as pro-second Amendment advocates made their voices heard. “The NRA has got to go!” she screamed a second time.

If you want to cut the murder rate in half, take guns away from inner city black youth. Yes, proposing this would be political suicide, and no, it wouldn't work in the long term because while handguns are convenient, murder weapons are fungible. See the rise in knife crime in England for an example.

She's trying to pull a Gillibrand, but folks won't get fooled again.
“Representative Haley Stevens revealed her true intentions during her unhinged outburst directed at her own constituents,” Tori Sachs, the executive director of Michigan Rising Action told The Daily Wire. “[She] may have run as a moderate who would support ‘common sense’ gun reform, but it’s now clear she’s joined the gun-grabbing radical left trying to completely dismantle the NRA and take away 2nd Amendment rights from law-abiding citizens.”

Imagine how us proles will be treated if they are ever in a position to do more than scream...

Standard response to this madwoman should be the same as the response to her sister-in-derangement, Batshit-a Tlaib, after the latter went nuts at a GOP event just before the 2016 election:

A petit dejeuner. "Hey, garcon!"
De l'Afrique a Paris, Washington,
Our palate is cleft
Twixt the right... and the left:
"Je voudrais, s'il vous plait, les enfants."

The end to the madness on the left is inevitably going to be mass suicide, or possibly a form of suicide by cop/deplorable.
Everytime a president goes up for re-election the party in opposition goes a bit crazy, but the left has been ratcheting up the crazy time and again and I think they are very close to simply losing their grip en masse.

Anyone read the story Foet, by F. Paul Wilson ? It's about a new line of leather from babies, only for the very discerning rich buyer. It explores the socialite activist mentality so well.

I'll be damned. Here's me thinking, "Crap, it's probably a great story, but I've never heard of that guy and don't read any modern scifi at all...," except I have read a few (maybe several?) of those RJ books. It's... shimmer shimmer... all coming back to me now... but where and when? No clue. Abject full-flight escapism, must've been. Gonna drive me crazy figuring it out. Anyway, I'll hold out for the story. Thanks, both of you.

Harlan Ellison is my go to guy, for realistic political sci fi. No utopian, intergalactic trade war bullshit or elvish beings sexing up humans for me.
It is rumored the maverick writer once punched James Cameron in the face because The Terminator storyline was plagiarized from two of his works. Cameron corrected that error and it now mentions him in the credits.
Read his 'Whimper of whipped Dogs', or 'I have no Mouth but I must scream' if you ever come across them.

[Federalist] President Trump threw a glass of cold water over the impeachment inquiry in the House of Representatives today by essentially stipulating to the main allegation being made against him. In fact, he doubled down on it.
Asked about what he wants Ukrainian President Volomydyr Zelensky to do about Hunter Biden’s business dealings there Trump said, "I would recommend that they start an investigation into the Bidens." He also suggested that China should open a similar investigation. But what Trump was mostly saying is that he is the president and there is nothing wrong with saying such things to foreign leaders.

Good luck getting China to investigate. They were hoping Slow Joe would be the next POTUS.

The simple solution is for the Democrats in the House to pass a resolution asking China not to investigate the Bidens. That could also be a headline at the WAPO: China, please don’t investigate the Bidens.

"Don't investigate the Bidens. Or, at least, double what you're paying me."?

"Really, investigating any of us would just be a waste of your valuable time. We have an Ethics Committee!"

What ever happened to "If you see something, say something." Trump's the whistleblower in this. Donks and DS are covering up. Why else would they be pushing back so hard?
[Redstate] The Ukraine whistleblower story has been disintegrating all week. It really took a dive yesterday when it was revealed that Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) had prior knowledge of the complaint while publicly he was professing otherwise.
But the Washington Post dropped a story tonight that suggests Democrats may have an even more flawed story lined up in the box.
The WaPo claims:
An Internal Revenue Service official has filed a whistleblower complaint reporting that he was told at least one Treasury Department political appointee attempted to improperly interfere with the annual audit of the president or vice president’s tax returns, according to multiple people familiar with the document.
The problem? Once again, this is anonymous hearsay complaint, not even firsthand but a thirdhand claim of what allegedly occurred.
With the sudden and convenient whistleblower rule change, are we now to expect a flood of hearsay complaints based on “someone told me something.” How ridiculous is this?
Then while such information is supposed to be confidential after it is filed, once again we see an obviously convenient leak to the WaPo who is then all too happy to publish anonymous hearsay if it helps to serve the Democratic narrative. Democrats need to be called on the carpet for this.
It’s unclear who the “political appointee” in question is or even if it’s a pro or anti-Trump person. It’s not even clear if it refers to the president or the vice president’s returns.
But that isn’t stopping the Democrats from getting geared up, according to the WaPo, who said congressional Democrats are now circulating on Capitol Hill and have flagged it to a federal judge. Rep. Richard Neal told Bloomberg he is consulting with legal counsel about whether to release the whistleblower complaint. Democrats are calling it “deeply significant allegation” “if true,” the WaPo says.
Ah, the “if true” standard strikes again. If true, unicorns can fly. Thirdhand hearsay. Journalism at its finest.
Meanwhile, the WaPo admits that they themselves have not been able to confirm that anything wrong happened.
“The Post has been unable to verify the allegation in the whistleblower’s complaint of improper communication between Treasury and IRS on the tax audit program.”

Guiliani. Badass prosecuter. Coĺlecting massive amount of incriminating evidence every day regarding these congress critters. Trump keeps appointing judges.

...he was told at least one Treasury Department political appointee attempted to improperly interfere with the annual audit of the president or vice president’s tax returns,
That right there is some serious bullshit. While I lack direct knowledge of the IRS's internal auditing selection process, this is the first time in my thirty+ years in public accounting that I've heard about the supposed IRS 'annual audit(s) of POTUS and VPOTUS'. If this was established IRS procedure, I sure as hell would have heard about it by now.

The left believes they own it and it's their playground. The GOPe has done nothing to disabuse them of that delusion. The voters, or if elections become a farce, the patriots will have to do it alone.

[NYPOST] A former U.S. Army officer hit back at Mayor de Blasio for dismissing as "nonsensical" her claim that he neglected the city’s homeless veterans while he ran for president.
The mayor made the comment Thursday at the Intrepid Museum, when a Post news hound asked him about former Army Officer Kristen Rouse attributing a decline in housing for homeless vets to the mayor’s absenteeism during his failed 2020 run.
"That is a nonsensical question," de Blasio sniffed.
Rouse, who did three tours in Afghanistan and now runs NYC Veterans Alliance, was at the presser.
"That is not a nonsensical question," she told The Post after the event.
The mayor’s own annual Management Report released last month found that spending at his Veteran Services Department jumped from $3.6 million to $5.4 million in the last fiscal year, but it placed 7 percent fewer homeless veterans in housing and provided 6 percent fewer veterans supportive services.
"It certainly has not been helping anyone that Mayor de Blasio has been absentee these last many months," Rouse said about the report in September.
On Thursday she also called de Blasio disingenuous for boasting about a "97 percent drop in street homelessness among veterans" under his mayoralty.
"There’s more than 600 vets in homeless shelters," Rouse said.
"If you’re in a homeless shelter you are homeless. Homeless shelters are not nice places to be. A lot of those veterans are out on the streets during the day," she said.
She added that many former military members in shelters are awaiting permanent housing, which they can’t afford because public vouchers aren’t enough to cover the steep cost of renting an apartment in the Big Apple.
"Our mayor has made big promises," Rouse said, noting his pledge to build historic levels of affordable housing.
"But the mayor’s been off doing everything but delivering on his promises," she said.
The declining services at the veterans’ agency are just the latest example of Hizzoner’s rhetoric falling short of his actions.
De Blasio also claimed he’s divested fossil fuels from the city’s pension fund, even though that process has only just begun, and rolled out a plan for national campaign finance reform while fending off ethics questions about his own political fundraising.
A de Blasio spokeswoman said, "The Mayor has done more to support our veterans than any mayor who has come before him. Any suggestion to the contrary is just petty."
[NEWS.GRABIEN] It looks like Beto’s guns were already confiscated.
In his latest attempt at generating buzz, the last-place 2020 candidate livestreamed getting a flu shot, but probably wishes it was an inoculation against mockery.
As O’Rourke; ...Kennedyeque businessman, musician, skateboard artiste, and politician who represented Texas' 16th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019. Beto is a Latino nickname for people whose names end in "erto," like "Roberto" or "Alberto." He is seeking the Dem nomination for President in 2020 because he has nice hair and lots of teeth. He was born into a local political family in El Paso, Texas and is a graduate of a prep school and Columbia University, which is not in Texas. In 2005, he was elected to the El Paso City Council. He was elected to Congress in 2012 after defeating eight-term incumbent Silvestre Reyes in the Democratic primary. He declined to seek re-election in 2018, instead running for the Senate against Republican Ted Cruz, running a campaign that drew national attention because of his skateboarding skills. A few months after he lost, he announced his campaign for President... winced during the vaccination, many online couldn’t help but laugh:
O’Rourke, whose earlier stunts included livestreaming a dental cleaning, skateboarding on stage, and attempting to play the drums, is apparently hoping that broadcasting his flu shot over social media will put him back onto Democrats’ radar.
O’Rourke’s current RealClearPolitics polling average is 2.2 percent.

Mocking "Beto" for his foolishness has lost its savor -- it's like watching Roadrunner™ cartoons and seeing the coyote run off cliffs time and time again.
If you include the underground Trump supporters who cannot reveal their support to their neighbors, colleagues or even family, his real numbers are definitely north of 50% already.
And even higher among likely voters in the battleground states.

Obviously, not being interested in Western Civilization, she's never read Shakespeare's Julius Caesar nor Livy's history of Rome. The Left doesn't have any history to forewarn them of what they're getting them and everyone else into.
