[KhaamaPress] The Talibs have forced the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan to close 42 of 77 health facilities in central Miadan Wardak province.
The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan in a statement said Taliban ...Arabic for students... forced SCA to close 42 out of 77 health facilities in six out of nine districts of Wardak province so far.
The statement further added that the closure of health facilities affects an estimated number of over 5,700 patients on daily basis.
Sonny Mansson, SCA country director said "Forcing SCA to close health facilities hence denying people to receive medical treatment and health services is an obvious violation of human rights ...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless... and international humanitarian law."
Mansson further added "We demand immediate reopening of all health facilities for the people and we strongly urge all parties involved in conflict to refrain from such actions which deliberately puts civilian lives at risk."
Meanwhile, ...back at the shattered spaceship, Fffflirgoll the Arcturan slithered stealthily toward the control room, where the humans had barricaded themselves... the SCA statement added that the Taliban demand was given this weekend directly to SCA and its facilities in the area, following last week’s attack by ANSF forces the night between 8-9 July on a clinic in Tangi Saidan area of Daimirdad district, where four people were confirmed dead and one is still missing; the attack by ANSF was strongly condemned by the SCA*.
Furthermore, the Committee said SCA is in continuous contact with all parties in an attempt to reopen the health facilities in the Wardak province and we specifically urge Taliban leadership to agree on reopening of the health facilities with immediate effect.
According to SCA, the closing of mentioned health facilities affects 3,800 outpatient department, 1,100 children under five years of age, 620 visits to EPI (expanded program on immunization), 220 MCH patients (maternal and child health) and 100 IPD patients (in-patient department) per day.
[AnNahar] The Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group has called for more attacks in Tunisia in a rare propaganda video purportedly filmed by the jihadists in the North African nation.
It comes three weeks after a twin suicide kaboom against police in the capital Tunis claimed by IS killed two people.
The video, shared on IS social media channels on Tuesday night, shows gunnies in balaclavas who pledge allegiance to the jihadists' leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
"Your soldiers and your sons in the land of Kairouan are doing well," said one of those filmed who gave the pseudonym Abou Omar al-Tounsi.
The holy city of Kairouan lies in central Tunisia.
Another jihadist using the name Abou Khaled al-Tounsi called for people to "sow terror" in Tunisia.
The video, which was circulated on messaging app Telegram and could not immediately be verified, was said to have been filmed inside the country.
Following Tunisia's 2011 revolution, the country saw a rise in extremism and deadly attacks hit soldiers, police, civilians and foreign tourists.
While the security situation has improved in recent years, the state of emergency implemented in 2015 is still in place.

[DW] The announcement that Germany has ended its military mission in Cameroon ...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there... came as a surprise to many who were unaware of the presence of German soldiers in the conflict-torn African country.
Besides Cameroon, Niger and Tunisia are two other African countries where Germany has military and police training missions not mandated by its parliament. Germany's defense ministry confirmed to DW that, according to the law, the government does not have to ask the Bundestag for approval to send military instructors to peaceful countries as long as the German military is not involved in any direct confrontation on the ground. Berlin also has no obligation to inform deputies about the particulars of these missions.

[DAWN] Kuwait’s deportation of eight Egyptian dissidents linked to the Moslem Brüderbund is unlawful and put them at "grave risk" of torture and prosecution, Human Rights Watch said on Tuesday.
The Gulf state announced on Friday that secret police arrested the men on charges of being members of a "terrorist" cell who had been sentenced to prison in Egypt.
Kuwait’s deputy foreign minister Khaled al-Jarallah told news hounds on Sunday the men were handed over to the Egyptian authorities.
"The deportation of the men appears to violate Kuwait’s obligations under international law," HRW said in a statement.
The New York-based rights group called on Kuwait to end further deportations to Egypt of anyone at risk of mistreatment.

The police won't do anything except lock their car doors.
Just try defending yourself against a knife attack. Maybe one in a thousand have a chance, and they are still likely to be wounded if an actual fight occurs.
Sam Colt made men equal, but in the UK you are not allowed to defend yourself.

Would be interesting to see if stabbings are rising while shootings are going down.
Said another way, I wonder if the incidence of "people wounded by tools" is constant and maybe the choice of implements vs intent doesn't really matter.
Two vicious crimes downplayed in French courts because the perpetrators are Muslim and the victims are Jewish. Others equally vicious are no doubt equally being downplayed without anybody to fuss about it.
[IsraelTimes] Prosecutors in La Belle France did not include the aggravated element of a hate crime in the indictments of three men who allegedly singled out a Jewish family for a burglary at their home.
In the 2017 incident, the suspects are accused of breaking into the Gay Paree-area home of Roger Pinto, the president of Siona, a group that represents Sephardic Jews.
The attackers, two of whom were wearing masks, beat Pinto’s son and wife in the home in the northeastern suburb of Livry Gargan. One of the burglars said "You Jews have money," according to the family members.
The National Bureau for Vigilance Against Anti-Semitism, or BNVCA, said Tuesday that it was "astounded and indignant" over the indictment filed this month against five defendants who were arrested in 2017. They are to stand trial for burglary, BNVCA said.
Earlier this month, BNVCA and the CRIF umbrella group of French Jewish communities protested a preliminary ruling by a judge of inquiry who said that a Moslem man who killed his Jewish neighbor in 2017 while shouting about Allah and calling her a "demon" is probably not criminally responsible for his actions because he had smoked a lot of marijuana before the incident.
BNVCA head Sammy Ghozlan said in a statement these rulings and others that "deny the anti-Semitic character of hate crimes against Jews" will "be a stain" on the French state in the mirror of history.
[IsraelTimes] A Moslem man who killed his Jewish neighbor in Gay Paree while shouting about Allah is probably not criminally responsible for his actions because he had smoked marijuana beforehand, a French judge ruled.
The preliminary ruling in the trial of Kobili Traore for the 2017 murder of Sarah Halimi came Friday from a judge of inquiry ‐ a magistrate that in the French justice system is tasked with deciding whether indicted defendants should in fact stand trial.
Francis Khalifat, the president of the CRIF umbrella group of French Jewish communities, called the ruling "unsurprising but hardly justifiable." He said his group and others will appeal in hopes of bringing Traore to trial.
He could be hospitalized for treatment of his psychotic lapses or made to attend a drug rehabilitation program, or he could be released.
Khalifat’s op-ed published Monday on the CRIF website follows a series of protests over perceived delays in Traore’s trial and the efforts, including by judges, that CRIF and others have condemned as attempts to prevent a murder trial.
Sammy Ghozlan, a former police commissioner and founder of La Belle France’s Bureau for Vigilance Against Anti-Semitism, told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in May that the handling of the Halimi case has made him "no longer have full confidence that anti-Semitic hate crimes in La Belle France are handled properly."
Traore pummeled Halimi, a physician and kindergarten teacher, for an hour as police stood outside the woman’s door, according to reports. He shouted about Allah and called her a "demon" before throwing her to her death. Traore had called Halimi’s daughter "dirty Jewess" two years before killing the mother, the daughter has said.
[DAWN] An Istanbul court on Wednesday acquitted the The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... representative for Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and two other campaigners on charges of making "terror propaganda" for Kurdish murderous Moslems, an AFP correspondent said.
Spectators in the courtroom erupted into applause after the acquittals of RSF representative Erol Onderoglu, rights activist Sebnem Korur Fincanci and journalist Ahmet Nesin.
Only Fincanci attended the hearing while Onderoglu and Nesin were abroad.
They were accused of making "terror propaganda" on behalf of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) after guest-editing pro-Kurdish Ottoman Turkish newspaper Ozgur Gundem.
The three risked 14 years in jail.
The newspaper was raided and permanently shut down in August 2016, accused of links with the PKK which has waged an insurgency against the Ottoman Turkish state since 1984.
The three campaigners were detained for a short period in 2016, and can now apply for financial compensation for time spent in jail.
The case triggered international alarm over press freedom in Turkey with activists claiming the climate for media had deteriorated under President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important... RSF said on Twitter it was "deeply relieved" by the acquittals but called for another trial due to begin against Onderoglu later this year to be scrapped.

I feel ya, Mercutio. Missed the whole dang Herbocalypse the other day and haven't seen any long-form Omorong in weeks. Imagination runs wild, huh? Have to admit, though, back when I'd get to Hemingway before Pappy did, I usually wound up wishing I hadn't. Pretty discriminating, these mods (assuming I'm scratching away in my own little served-to-order sandbox here).

I spamcopped Omorong. If he has anything coherent and nonembarrasing/non-potty-mouthed/non-racist thing to post, I'll leave it alone. The fact you don't see it means it wasn't

"Oh, you DO want fries documentation with that!"
[DAWN] The ruling party has linking critical coverage by the press to potential "treason" in its latest broadside against the country's beleaguered media.
The official account of Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) fired off over two dozen tweets in English and Urdu late Tuesday, lambasting the press for criticism, saying it can be deemed "Anti-State".
"Freedom of Expression is beauty of Democracy. Expressing Enemy's Stance is Not Freedom of speech but treason against its people," read one tweet.
"Media houses & journalists must take care that in their quest for criticism on State, they intentionally or unintentionally do not end up propagating enemy's stance," read another, with the hashtag JournalismNotAgenda.
Pakistain routinely ranks among the world's most dangerous countries for media workers, and news hounds have frequently been detained, beaten and even killed for being critical of the government or military.
In recent years, the space for dissent has shrunk further, with the government announcing a crackdown on social networks and traditional media houses decrying pressure from authorities that they say has resulted in widespread self-censorship.
Media watchdog Reporters Without Borders recently warned of "disturbing dictatorial tendencies" after three Pak TV stations were briefly taken off air in what it called "brazen censorship".

[DAWN] India will identify and deport illegal immigrants colonists from across the country, the Indian interior minister said on Wednesday, stepping up a campaign that critics say could stoke religious tension and further alienate minority Moslems.
An exercise to identify alien immigrants colonists from Moslem-majority Bangladesh has been going on in the northeastern state of Assam for years, but Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Hindu nationalist-led government has taken it up in earnest.
The campaign was a key issue in this year's general election, won by Narendra Modi's Hindu-nationalist party.
Indian Home Minister Amit Shah told parliament the government would not limit its efforts to Assam, but would come down hard on illegal immigrants colonists anywhere.
"Illegal immigrants colonists living on every inch of this country will be deported according to the law," Shah told the upper house of parliament.
Shah, seen as a Hindu nationalist hardliner and a possible future replacement for Modi in the top job, called illegal migrants colonists "termites" eating into Assam's resources during the election campaign.
Critics accuse Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of a deep-seated bias against minority Moslems and say the campaign against illegal migrants colonists is aimed at Moslems, and threatens to further marginalise the community. The BJP denies the accusation and says it is opposed to the appeasement of any group.

Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah is the mastermind of the right-wing party's return to power and continuing spree of electoral victories throughout India. Also the president of the ruling party, he's a formidable majoritarian force for any islamist group or party.
The true face of islamism and leftist diversity propaganda in India wears a mask different from that worn in the west. Here, the words are not 'diversity', 'privilege', 'color' and 'progressive'. Because of a tight leash on institutions, corporations, businesses and academics, they must speak a subdued language. Play the victim constantly. And you have the globally based Indian journos, like those in NY and London constantly demonizing the 'populist' Govt, calling the administration 'Trumpian' and 'unsecular' what would life in America and England be without the cocktail soirees and party invitations by their democrat and tory friends.
'Anti-secular', 'lynching', 'caste', 'hindu terror' and 'oppressed minority' - these are the themes the globalist machine pays the left-wing media and several rich activist celebrities to espouse. The leftists paint Amit Shah as a 'total gangster' and muscle for Modi Putting the Prime in Prime Minister , which again suits him just fine because it provides traction with the masses that resent western 'liberalist' ideas like the faux-feminism supplanted by LGBTQXYZs, acute islamophilia, and empowerment of 'oppressed' classes. Although India has had it's own crippling version of Affirmative Action for decades, it is also being challenged by the right wing govt now. Additionaly, a reversal of fortunes of Pakistan funded separatists and rich legal islamists is taking place, all because of the adamant, brutally corrective policies of this Govt. There will soon be a final showdown in Kashmir, and final consolidation of the region.
Sure, their underlying convictions include casteism, hinduist tomfoolery and absolute authority. And the voter knows it, knew it when electing them. But in a world of leaders that have stepped back from the ramparts to let ravagers in, it's the sanest choice for now.
#2
Good luck with that. India is infested with Bongs (illegals from Bangladesh, AKA East Bengal) to the tune of tens of millions.
And collectively they bribe local politicians for protection. Also, due to the rampant corruption can easily obtain fake documents like ration cards and Aadhaar cards.
Affirmative Action? Their equivalent makes ours look puny. There is something called SC/ST & OBC. Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes & Other Backwards Classes. The Indian government officially recognizes over 100 distinct ethnic groups, every group that isn't on one the schedules agitates bitterly to be included, those already on the schedule agitate bitterly for more set asides.
What is Modi going to do, sweep that aside? I don't think so, the poor and uneducated along with all the beneficiaries would burn the country down. India is a basket case and probably always will be barring a 90% reduction in population.

While much of this is unarguably true, it's the fucking mohammads that need to die or be subdued first. Countries don't give up and die because some exalted nihilist decides they're well off dead, just like the Brits decided they're better off without their wealth. They survive. And everybody's survival right now depends on islamic swine learning learning their place.
[Rudaw] Serhat Amanos Varto, the spokesperson of the Kurdistan Communities Group (KCK) was confirmed killed in Ottoman TurkishArclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s with four other members nearly four months ago by media close to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on Wednesday.
Rojnews, a media outlet close to PKK, announced the death of five guerrilla fighters killed including Varto in a Ottoman Turkish airstrike on March 21. The KCK is an umbrella group of parties close to and including the PKK.
In addition to Varto (Emrullah Dursun), the dear departed include PKK members Sinane Sor (Ali Aktash), Navdar Sinegir (Mikail Ozdemir), Serhat Shafak (Vehip Tekin) and Shiyar Farahinin (Celal Ozturk), ANF News another media outlet close to group detailed on Wednesday, citing the Solidarity Committee of the PKK. Party members often use a nom de guerre to obfuscate personal details.
ANF added that notifying the victims’ families has been underway since July 14. The reported message praised the sacrifices for the "struggle" and "the movement" for the Kurdish people resisting.
Ottoman Turkish jets used precise coordinates supplied by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... ’s intelligence community in the March 21 airstrikes, according to state-run Anadolu Agency.
Then Anadolu reported in that Varto was "neutralized" by Ottoman Turkish airstrikes. Ankara uses the word neutralized to refer to those killed, maimed, or otherwise removed from the battlefield.
Varto was born in 1970 in Mus Province, according to ANF. He joined the PKK in 1991 in Cudi, between Sirnak and Silopi. He was arrested by the Baath regime in Syria while trying to go to Qandil to "help comrades" in 1999 and remained in prison for two years.
Following his release, he went to Qandil to fight, but began working in PKK's more diplomatic and political offices, resigning from a fighting role. The PKK hailed Varto as someone who has "struggled with great spirit."
Sor was born in 1959 in the Qosere area of Mardin province in southeastern Turkey. He joined the PKK at a young age. In the statement released by ANF, Sor was hailed as a "handpicked" guerilla of PKK founder Abdullah Ocalan who solved issues "with a strong moral force" and represented PKK's bully boy expertise.
He is described as a regional manager for Qandil.

[CNBC] Tehran faces rising food prices and food shortages.
Iran’s government is running out of options to help stem the costs.
A local cook estimates prices have increased by 50% to 100% in the last year.
The cost of beef has gone from 380,000 rials a kilo three months ago to nearly 1.2 million rials per kilo, pricing out many families.
...
As tensions continue to escalate between the U.S. and Iran, options may be running out. The rising prices aren’t letting up, and for average Iranians, it’s becoming harder than ever to provide for their families no mention of the cost of Iran's Nuclear work or Iran's subsidy of conflict in Syria, Yemen, etc.

the cost of Iran's Nuclear work or Iran's subsidy of conflict
It's almost like we're re-using the Star Wars strategy that broke the old Soviet Union - 'force' them to spend more than they can afford.
[FREEBEACON] A delegation of 50 members of Congress petitioned the Trump administration on Wednesday to cancel a series of sanctions waivers that have permitted Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... to continue its most contested nuclear research, including at a military site known to have housed the Islamic Theocratic Republic's bomb program, according to a copy of the letter exclusively obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
The letter, spearheaded by Rep. Liz Cheney (R., Wyo.), represents the strongest protest to date by politicians who view the waivers as an attempt by some deeply entrenched U.S. officials to keep the landmark nuclear deal on life support against the White House's wishes.
The Free Beacon has reported multiple times in the past months on a protracted inter-agency battle between hardline officials in the administration who seek to nix the nuclear waivers and those who maintain they are necessary to keep Iran appeased. A growing number of politicians have expressed frustration with the Trump administration's decision to continue renewing these sanctions waivers at a time when Iran is openly breaching international restrictions on the amount of enriched uranium it stockpiles inside the country.
The group of politicians are now demanding that the administration make good on its promises to wage a so-called "maximum pressure" campaign on Iran. This would include killing the waivers permitting Iranian nuclear work and also pressuring the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... to invoke a mechanism that would restore the international community's sanctions on Iran, most of which were lifted as part of the nuclear agreement.
"In an effort to continue your extremely successful maximum pressure campaign against Iran, we are writing to urge you to dismantle the last remaining vestiges of the failed Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) once and for all," the letter states.
The politicians urge the administration "to respond to Iran's nuclear escalation by ending remaining U.S. ’civil nuclear' waivers."

'I am legally married to one and culturally to another'
By the way, there is no provision, decree or even brief, qat fueled reverie in the quoran or hadiths that allows for this sort of arrangement.
In fact, if a woman has two husbands, almost all possible eventualities arising herein are supposed to result in some kind of fatality. Like either the second man has to kill the first man, or the first man has to 'sell' her to him willingly, first divorcing her. In one, after the divorce she's got to be raped by the father or brother of the new guy (Nikah e Halala) before assuming married life.
By any islamic standards, she's got to be stoned to death or at least flogged. If she swears by the koran for taking oaths, she must be punished by the koran. If she was in Somalia, she'd be meat.

I don't think 'who' you are allowed to marry is very interesting. It's much more interesting to study who you can stay married to. Show me a weird one that lasted 50 years and I'll pay attention. By the way, was he an older brother, or a younger one?
