Assange was subsequently arrested by British police.

Now things will get interesting.
Many of us in the IT Security gray hat world have known for years Julian Assange has Deadman Stick process waiting for his demise or arrest. Start counting the days before sections of a major data dump are started.
If rumblings we have heard from sources is true look for some big names to be exposed.

From the pics and video of the arrest, they hid Assange and replaced him with David Letterman

He's dead for sure. No way is he going to be allowed to speak. He's going to get the Whitey Bulger treatment.

It is interesting how he was a hero of the left until 2008 then a villian for basically doing the same thing. I suspect the left will support him now that Trump is arrested him and orange-man bad is the knee jerk response to everything.
[NATIONALREVIEW] Attorney General William Barr told a Senate panel Wednesday that he believes American "intelligence agencies" did spy on the Trump campaign but said he has not yet determined whether there was a proper justification for that surveillance.
"I think spying did occur," Barr said during a hearing before the Senate Appropriations Committee. "But the question is whether it was adequately predicated and I am not suggesting that it wasn’t adequately predicated. . . . I am not suggesting those rules were violated, but I think it is important to look at that. And I am not talking about the FBI necessarily, but intelligence agencies more broadly."
"I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal ‐ it’s a big deal," he added.
Barr was addressing a question from Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D., N.H.) about the origins of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. Intelligence officials involved in the probe relied in part on the Steele dossier ‐ an unsubstantiated opposition-research file compiled by former British spy Remington Christopher Steele ‐ to obtain a FISA warrant to surveil Carter Page, but did not tell the FISA court that the dossier was commissioned by a company contracted by the Perennial Presidential Campaigner Hillary Crooked Hillary Clinton ... former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away... presidential campaign.

The casual suggestion by the nation’s top law enforcement officer of “spying” may please Donald Trump, who rails against a “deep state coup,” but it strikes another destructive blow to our democratic institutions.
The hardworking men and women at the DOJ and FBI deserve better.

The good people at the DOJ and the FBI DO deserve better. What they are going to get is another thing. They should clean their act up and go to the source of that SMELL and take care of it THEMSELVES.
Or the American People ( who ARE the real Bosses of the US ) will take care of the DOJ and the FBI.... and you won't like that.
[MSN] Los Angeles City Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson announced on Tuesday (April 9) that the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard, right in the center of where Nipsey grew up, will become "Ermias 'Nipsey Hussle' Asghedom Square."

I looked on a LA map, and couldn't find the intersection of stupidity and arrogance.
Then I realized I was looking for City Hall.

I read Nipsey Russell. every time I read about this shooting. No matter how bad Eric Holder was as AG I never though he'd be the kind of sketchy bastard that would kill a retired comedian. Then I realize I'm getting old.
[MAIL] Ronald Kessler, a former Washington Post and Wall Street Journal investigative reporter, is the New York Times bestselling author of The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of the Presidents, The Secrets of the FBI and The Trump White House.
Ken Starr purposefully left out the finding that Hillary Clinton had 'triggered' the suicide of President Clinton's Deputy White House Counsel in his final FBI report to spare her feelings, DailyMail.com can reveal.
FBI agents investigating the death of Vince Foster learned he was set off after Hillary attacked and humiliated him in front of other White House aides a week before he took his own life on July 20, 1993.
But for what were then unexplained reasons, Starr elected to conceal the FBI's finding that Hillary's tirade triggered Foster's suicide when he wrote his final report on the matter.
At a reception for authors participating in the 2019 Annapolis Book Festival last weekend, I asked Starr why he omitted the damaging FBI finding.
At first, he beat around the bush, citing well-established facts indicating that Foster was already depressed before Hillary lashed into him at the White House meeting.
But when pressed, Starr admitted he 'did not want to inflict further pain' on Hillary by revealing that her humiliation of Foster a week before he took his own life pushed him over the edge.

This is different then a friends brother spoke. He was a minor guy in the Whitehouse SS staff and right after it happened he told his family - His dad was a major cop in his state. He wasn't on duty that day but heard the story from other agents...
Story: SS was not aware of the low morals of Clintons.
SS heard the first lady screaming in a visitor bedroom and burst in thinking she was being raped and shot Vince as he was violently putting it to Hillary...
Then the big how to clean up and Hillary said just dump his body in a park so they did.
[FOXNEWS] Georgia Democratic Rep. Lucy McBath was the target of some creative trolling by the Republican Party over her widely disputed claim that she actually lives in Georgia, after receiving and signing for a gift basket the GOP sent to her address -- in Tennessee.
McBath, a racial justice activist who defeated Republican incumbent Karen Handel in November, has been dogged with questions since the election campaign on whether she actually lives in the state she now represents.
The state’s Cobb County Tax Commissioner’s Office, which refrained from issuing a decision during the election due to appeals, confirmed last month that McBath didn’t meet the requirements to call her Cobb County home her primary residence for the three tax years leading up to the election, meaning she was a Tennessee resident when she was elected to Congress. But, but, but on clear day McBath can actually see Georgia and Stacey 'Boxcar' Abrams from her back deck.
To point out McBath’s deep Tennessean roots, the National Republican Congressional Committee sent a goody bag containing coffee infused with Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Memphis-style BBQ sauce and a hat of the Tennessee Volunteers to her Rockford, Tenn., home
The politician accepted the gift on Friday at 10:45 a.m. and signed for it as "LMCBATH". Fox News obtained a copy of the signature.

[FOX] HICAGO ‐ The head of Chicago's police union demanded Wednesday that Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill., retract his weekend assertion that it's "the sworn enemy of black people."
Chicago Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 7 President Kevin Graham said Rush's comment was "wholly baseless and is in fact a slanderous remark which meets the textbook legal definition of defamation."
Rush, 72, made the comments after an April 1 demonstration by members of the union protesting the decision by Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx to drop charges against "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett.
Smollett has been accused of faking a hate crime against himself. Foxx has denied claims that Smollett, who is back and gay, received special treatment from her office, and she has ignored calls by various critics to resign.
