[AmGreatness] In a gracious move at his State of the Union address, President Trump gave a shout-out to the historic number of women serving in Congress this year. "Exactly one century after Congress passed the constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote, we now have more women serving in Congress than at any time before," the president said, pointing to a claque of congresswomen seated in front of him.
The female Democratic representatives, many dressed in white to honor the suffrage movement's 100th anniversary, erupted with self-congratulatory glee. The same gals who were seen scowling, seething, and fake-crying just moments before suddenly were giddy, clapping wildly and high-fiving each other.
[NYPOST] Sen. Cory Spartacus Booker U.S. Senator-for-Life from Noo Joisey, formerly the mayor of Newark. Booker is a candidate for president in 2020, running on a platform of Make America Newark. He once wrote an essay on how to grope a woman. He is noted for having an imaginary friend named T-Bone... made himself look the fool yet again this week while questioning judicial nominee Neomi Rao.
At Tuesday’s confirmation hearing, the Jersey Democrat senator went after Rao with the clear suspicion that she’s some kind of religious bigot, asking first: "Have you ever had an LGBTQ law clerk?"
Her reply exposed Booker’s total lack of preparation: "I have not been a judge, so I don’t have any law clerks."
He fell back to asking if anyone now working for her is LGBTQ ‐ and she humiliated him again: "To be honest, I don’t know the sexual orientation of my staff. I take people as they come, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation."
But Booker wouldn’t let go, asking, "Are gay relationships in your opinion immoral?"
She started to answer: "I’m not sure of the relevance of that," and he interrupted:
"I think it’s relevant to your opinion if you think African-American relationships are immoral, do you think gay relationships are immoral?" Huh? Immoral African-American relationships?
Rao gave up trying to make sense of his questions and said, "No, I do not."
Still, he persisted: "Do you believe they are a sin?" (Not immoral, but a sin? Really?)
Rao finally explained that it doesn’t matter what she believes: "Whatever my personal views are on the subject, I would faithfully follow the precedent of the Supreme Court."
In fact, Rao is about as far as you get from the Religious Right: She was raised in an immigrant family of Zoroastrian tradition, and converted to Judaism when she got married.
How shocking! Not one of the icky Evangelical Christians he expected to enjoy browbeating.
All Spartacus did was expose his own bigoted ignorance.

[WTSP] MADEIRA BEACH, Fla. ‐ City Commissioner Nancy Oakley is off the job for good.
Oakley resigned from her position after being fined by the state ethics commission for supposedly sexually harassing former city manager Shane Crawford.
Crawford claims Oakley licked his face and groped him during a public event in 2012.
The state ethics commission fined Oakley $5,000 and called on the governor to issue her a public reprimand.
City leaders, during a special meeting Wednesday evening, accepted Oakley’s resignation and approved a resolution that publicly censures her for her behavior.
"We believe that this is the right thing for the organization to do and shows that we are committed to moving the organization forward," said city manager Jonathan Evans.
"This puts closure to it and this type of behavior is something that we as an organization will not accept and will not tolerate."

Meredith Watson is the second woman to accuse Virginia Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax of sexual assault.
Watson’s attorney released a statement Friday alleging that Watson was raped by Fairfax in 2000 while they both attended Duke University.
The lawyer says Watson shared the experience with friends but decided to come forward after Fairfax denied sexually assaulting Dr. Vanessa Tyson, a California professor who accused him of physically forcing her to perform oral sex on him while they attended the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
[Newsweek] Representative Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez Dem representative from da Bronx in Noo Yawk. She is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details.. on Thursday called on Congress to cut funding to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and accused the agency of criminalizing Latinos in the United States, which she called "native land."
The New York Democrat said that ICE does "not deserve a dime until they can prove that they are honoring human rights, until they can make a good-faith effort to expand and embrace immigrants." She said that immigrants have always been a part of the United States and that ICE does "not deserve any resource for their radical agenda."
"We have to have respect for children, respect for families, respect for human rights and respect for the right of human mobility. Because it is a right. It is a right. Because we are standing on native land, and Latino people are descendants of native people," Ocasio-Cortez said. "And we cannot be told and criminalized simply for our identity or our status. Period."

By abolishing ICE she is hoping to expand the socialist leaning electorate. In return for their votes they get lots of "free" stuff. When the bill comes due she knows there will be no money to pay for it but she figures that by imposing between 70% and 90% tax rate on anything that moves it will take longer to impoverish the nation than it took Venezuela.
No wonder she couldn't get a real job after she got a college degree and had to bartend and waitress for a living.

Fine, tell you what, go to Mexico, gather an Army and we'll redo the American-Mexican war, only this time, we're not giving anything back and it's a war to the knife. Mexico has LOTS of nice resources we can use. Once it's depopulated and ours, you can enjoy your free floating existence as ash scattered into the wind.

What natives? That natives in Mexico, like in the US, are dead, integrated, or trapped in reservations. They don't exist, and they shouldn't exist, because they lost their bleeding wars, and that was that, a long, long time ago. She is such a disgusting, perfect example of the evils of socialism and the inability to think that collectivism breeds even faster than starvation.
[AMERICANTHINKER] The long knives of the Left are unsheathed for Elizabeth Gitchie Goomie Liz Warren ...Dem Senatrix from Massachussetts, who traces her noble lineage all the way back to Big Chief Spouting Bull. It has been alleged that she speaks with forked tongue but she denies that. She had a DNA test to prove her lineage and it turns out she's colorless.. , who is damaging not just her own reputation and political future, but that of the entire Democratic Party, which has embraced the very identity politics she has discredited.
Does Warren believe she can apologize her way to the White House? On the basis of her public actions, it would appear so, for she still has scheduled a formal announcement of her presidential campaign on Saturday but spent yesterday apologizing. For her colleagues in the Democratic Party, that is a nightmare.
As readers already know, the Washington Post obtained (from oppo researchers of another Dem running for president, for instance Kamala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, now a senatrix from California and 2020 Dem presidential hopeful... ?) a copy of her 1986 registration card for the Texas Bar in which she appears to have written in her own hand that her "race" is "American Indian."

The WaPo's report on Warren a few days ago had lots of other stuff, e.g.,
Harvard listed her as Native American for about a decade from 1995 to 2004
she had the U of Pennsylvania change her ethnicity to Native Am in 1989 and had that until 1995
from 1986 to 1994 she had herself listed in the american asso of law schools as a minority
but the handwritten note is the more damaging since it shows her handwriting meaning it couldn't have been a mistake by an administrative assistant
wapo's article is

[OUTLINE] Gov. Ralph Coonman Northam Governor of Virginia, another Dem Great White Hope. He won election by calling his Publican opponent Ed Gillespie a racist, but then, don't they all?... (D) can no longer effectively serve the people of Virginia who elected him. His shifting and credulity-shredding explanations for the racist photograph on his medical school yearbook page, and the silence into which he then succumbed for days ‐ after initially promising to do "the hard work" of atonement and apology to restore his standing with Virginians ‐ is simply too much. His decade-long record in public office is admirable; it is equally true that his governorship has been irredeemably wrecked by the self-inflicted, racially callous and clueless mess he has made in recent days.
Having initially admitted and apologized for appearing in the offensive photo, which showed one person in blackface and another in Ku Klux Klan garb ‐ Mr. Northam performed a head-spinning pivot a day later and denied being either person in that image. His about-face was undercut by simultaneous revelations and acknowledgments ‐ that he wore shoe polish on his face for a dance contest after medical school; that "Coonman" was among his nicknames in college.
He put out word that he was determined to stay in office and clear his name and that he would seek a private investigator to unearth the truth about the yearbook photo, which he said is "not me." It struck us as reasonable that he should have that chance. But since his artless, tone-deaf news conference Saturday, the governor has gone to ground and been heard from no more. No more light has been shed, no exculpatory information has emerged.
Facts do matter, and the ones surrounding the Northam fiasco remain unsettled and unanswered. First and foremost among the questions they raise: How could he possibly have admitted to something as damning as appearing in the photo if he was certain he wasn’t one of the people in it? How did that photo wind up on his page if he didn’t furnish it to the yearbook editors? What do the governor’s now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t statements say about his judgment? The explanations Mr. Northam has proffered are vague and unconvincing. Virginians deserve better. Mr. Northam’s time is up.
The man who would succeed him, Democratic Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, has his own problems: He has been accused of sexual assault by a college professor. That’s a serious matter. But it is not relevant to Mr. Northam’s travails or to his manifest inability at this point to be an effective governor. It cannot justify his remaining in office. Nor can Wednesday’s news that Attorney General Mark R. Herring, also a Democrat, who would become governor if Mr. Fairfax did not or could not, wore blackface to a party as a college student in 1980, according to a statement he issued.
It’s reasonable to guess that other revelations elsewhere, about other public figures with their own histories or photos of offensive, insensitive or racist conduct, may surface in coming days. Each should be judged on its own set of circumstances. In the case of Mr. Northam, the circumstances are decisive; what’s done cannot be undone. He must go.

Actually, they seem to be doing a pretty good job of that themselves. But read on. It's Conrad Black, so you know he’s good.
[AMGREATNESS] The nadir of the amoral egotism of what might broadly be called "Me-ism" has been reached by the avant garde of the Democratic Party in their race to the bottom of the electoral depths. The renunciation of any notions of sacrifice, patriotic pride, the spirituality of life, or the recognition of anything except the smash-and-grab politics of endless atomized grievances and instant gratification of convenience, has reached what must, in its way, be the end of history.

“Why you fool, it's the educated reader who CAN be gulled. All our difficulty comes with the others. When did you meet a workman who believes the papers? He takes it for granted that they're all propaganda and skips the leading articles. He buys his paper for the football results and the little paragraphs about girls falling out of windows and corpses found in Mayfair flats. He is our problem. We have to recondition him. But the educated public, the people who read the high-brow weeklies, don't need reconditioning. They're all right already. They'll believe anything.”

[NYPOST] Elizabeth Fauxchahontas Warren ...Dem Senatrix from Massachussetts, who traces her noble lineage all the way back to Big Chief Spouting Bull. It has been alleged that she speaks with forked tongue but she denies that... ’s whole embarrassingly improbable account of her claims to Native American ancestry has just fallen completely apart. It’s now indisputable that she’s been lying all along.
The Washington Post has uncovered her 1986 Texas State Bar registration card, which Warren personally filled out and signed, where she listed her race as "American Indian." And, she now admits, there may be other such documents out there.
Funny: Back in 2012, when news first hit that Warren had been recorded as an American Indian in various faculty directories, she insisted she was unaware of the listing and hadn’t asked for it.
The implication was that someone else had filed the listing without her knowledge. This, even as she cited family lore of Native American ancestors.
In other words, she’s been making the claim to minority status for well over three decades. And while she insists she "never got any benefits from it anywhere" (citing as proof an article in the Warren-friendly Boston Globe), what other possible motive could she have had?
This is a far bigger problem for Warren than her ridiculous DNA-test fiasco, with its evidence that she might be 1/1,024th Native. Her answer to the Post’s scoop was to say she’s "sorry for not being more mindful about this decades ago" ‐ when the larger issue is her mindful lies about it far more recently.

[Politico] Behind the scenes, the candidates, campaign aides and consultants are already plotting how to publicly address the scandal that has consumed President Donald Trump.
Democrats vying for the White House want to talk about anything right now but Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. But the 2020 race is inevitably going to keep coming back to 2016 ‐ and what the special counsel uncovers.
Behind the scenes, the candidates, campaign aides and consultants are already plotting how to publicly address the scandal that has consumed President Donald Trump. They know the campaign that gets it right could break free from the cluttered 2020 pack. In the early primary and caucus states, the Democratic hopefuls are already encountering "simmering, seething outrage" about Trump’s possible ties to Russia, said one strategist for a 2020 campaign. The candidate who taps into that anger could ride the wave to the nomination.
Speaking up could have disastrous ramifications, though. Much like Democratic candidates in the 2018 midterm elections, the party’s presidential hopefuls are wary of appearing consumed by ‐ and politicizing ‐ a scandal that grips regular Rachel Maddow viewers but seems confusing and distant from the kitchen tables of many Americans.
"Smart campaigns will war game this very quietly," said Ben LaBolt, a former spokesman from the Obama White House and 2012 reelection campaign. "They’ll have smart plans on the shelf. But it’s not something they’ll talk about. It’s not something that they’ll broadcast."
Democrats working for 2020 candidates describe Mueller’s work as something akin to a virus that will keep forcing their campaigns to take precautions.
"It’s the elephant in the room," said the party strategist working with a White House hopeful, fretting about the uncertainties tied to Mueller, from the rumors about possible new indictments to the advice from inside their own campaigns to just stay quiet about the topic.
"The Russia issue is one that the political and pollster class says, ’Stay away from right now.’ But ultimately the story will take us there and we will have to deal with it," the Democratic strategist added.

When the Mueller Probe left its mandate of "Russia Collusion" and started to deliver nothing but process violations it was a Bad Thing™. One characteristic of late-stage decadent republics is that you literally can not lose an election because the opposition will jail you afterwards. Mueller is a bad Omen of things to come.
[Hot Air] Therefore ... what? Where’s she going with this? Is she suggesting that people of Latino ancestry should be immune from U.S. immigration laws? "We didn’t cross the border, the border crossed us," yadda yadda?
But she vowed Thursday to defund ICE completely and claimed Latinos should be exempt from criminal proceedings and immigration laws because they are descended from Mesoamerican cultures that preceded the United States.
‘We are standing on native land,’ she claimed, speaking just outside the U.S. Capitol. ‘And Latino people are descendants of native people. And we cannot be told, and criminalized, simply because for our identity or our status. Period.’

Mesoamerica was an area of Central America consisting of people prior to the Spanish Colonization of that area, resulting in the mass extermination of Mesoamericans.

[Huffpoo] Virginia state Sen. Tommy Norment was once the managing editor of a yearbook chock-full of racial slurs and images depicting blackface, according to a report by The Virginian-Pilot.
Norment, the Republican majority leader of the state Senate, oversaw the Virginia Military Institute’s yearbook in 1968, the news outlet reports. In that yearbook, students appear dressed in blackface in several photos, and racial slurs are used regularly. In one instance, a student from Bangkok, Thailand, is called a "Jap" and a "Chink." A caption under another unidentified man’s photo reads: "He was known as the ’Barracks Jew’ having his fingers in the finances of the entire Corps."
The VMI yearbook, called "The Bomb," has been published continuously since 1897. You can see the whole yearbook here.
