[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The Yemeni Council of Ministers denounced Iran’s disobeying of UN resolutions on Thursday, saying that "it won’t stop until it is strongly deterred by the International Community."
The Yemeni legitimate government said that Houthi ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The Yemeni government has accused the Houthis of having ties to the Iranian government, which wouldn't suprise most of us. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews ... militias are challenging the international community and its decisions, in a blurb.
The blurb said that targeting al-Anad Air base in Lahij governorate, the continuous violations of the Hodeidah ceasefire, and the constant repudiation of what has been agreed on in Sweden, are all ways that the Houthi militias are challenging the international community and its decisions.
It added that these actions are a clear indication of the Houthis’ rejection of peace efforts and their insisting on executing the agenda of their sponsors in Tehran.
The Yemeni Council of Ministers said in the statement that the increasing Houthis’ deadly attacks since the Sweden deal is "planned and aims at failing the Secretary General of the United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... and his envoy to Yemen," pointing out the obvious involvement of Tehran in directing Houthis towards what serves its agenda.
The statement also stressed that the UN and the international community’s abilities are being tested.
The legitimate government and the Arab Coalition will not stand by and watch while the situation stays this way and Houthis try to prolong the war, said the statement.

[DailyMail] A man in a fluoro singlet has confronted Victorian Police Minister Lisa Neville and accused her of failing to tackle Sudanese gangs in Melbourne. 'We've had an absolute gutful of people like yourself,' he said.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Bavaria’s Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann said in a statement published on Wednesday (January 9, 2019) that the Ottoman Turkish Islamic Union might be subject to a control by the Constitution Protection Authority Homeland intelligence Agency.
"What is especially alarming is the invitation sent to representatives of the Moslem Brüderbund to attend a seminar recently held in Cologne ...the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth populated city in Germany.... ," he said.
"The group adopts positions that cannot be reconciled with the requirements of the German constitution. Therefore, the state must be vigilant in this regard," he is quoted by DW to have said.
Also a prominent member of the European Parliament for the Christian Social Party of Bavarian, criticized the efforts of Ottoman Turkish President Recep Erdogan to put all people with Ottoman Turkish roots throughout Europe ...also known as Moslem Lebensraum... under his influence.
The member of the Green Party, Jim Ozdemir, also criticized the Cologne seminar, saying it "shows that President Erdogan is continuing to extend his arm in Europe."
’FOREIGN INFLUENCE’ German government commissioner for religious freedom, Marcos Grobel, also rejected the "Foreign political influence on Moslems who are living in Germany."
The Union, based in Cologne, is under the supervision of the Ottoman Turkish Religious Affairs Office in Ankara. German outlets reported that imams of some Ottoman Turkish mosques in Germany responded to the request of the Ottoman Turkish Consulate General to inform them about the followers of the preacher Fathullah Gulen.
In the past years, the Union received funds from various German state funds, within projects that work to prevent radicalization among Moslem youth.
The Federal Government has already confirmed that it has reviewed the existing support mechanism and has not approved new requests for support from the Union since 2017.

The boat left Greece at 4 o’clock in the morning, but capsized near the small town of Torre Melissa.
Among the group were six women and one infant. It is not immediately clear where the Kurds had come from.
The migrants colonists were transferred to a reception centre in Crotone, southern Italia.
Two alleged people smugglers were placed in durance vile Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! , according to Italian media reports.
This is the first group of migrants colonists to reach Italia in 2019, according to the country’s Interior Ministry. Some 23,270 migrants colonists arrived in Italia last year, most crossing from Libya.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A day after the Prime minister of Norway Erna Solberg said her country was willing to mediate between India and Pakistain on the Kashmire issue, Hurriyat conference in the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmire has welcomed the offer.
"Welcome Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg’s statement with regards to the resolution of the Kashmire dispute. We also welcome their offer of mediation to facilitate peace in the region," said Chairman of Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
On Monday, Prime minister of Norway while speaking at the inauguration of the new "green" Norwegian embassy in New Delhi said that her country was willing to mediate with between India and Pakistain, provided both the countries agree to such mediation.
"Nobody from outside can create peace or make changes. It has to come from inside. If there is a movement between India and Pakistain for greater talks, we and other countries can say that we can help mediating if there is a possibility," she said.
Solberg is on a three-day visit to India. She met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj yesterday to and discussed host of bilateral and global issues.
"Norway has done a lot of work for the cause of peaceful settlements through mediation, we will intervene only if both parties, India and Pakistain, want it," she added.
TALKS IN KASHMIRE
Earlier in November 2018, former Prime Minister of Norway Kjell Magne Bondevik visited Kashmire and met with Hurriyat leaders Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and discussed the situation in Kashmire. He also visited the capital of Pakistain-occupied Kashmire-Muzaffarabad--and met PoK President Sardar Masood Khan.
While clarifying former PM’s visit, Solberg said ’his actions didn’t have Norwegian government’s blessings’.
"He went as a private citizen. He has an institute for peace and security. It’s a private institute in Norway. There isn’t any government plan to start any negotiation. Our policy is clear. If we are going to help someone, they have to ask for it," she said.
Despite the recent hostilities between India and Pakistain, and the border skirmish along the line of Control, the Norwegian PM said she believes that "military" solutions cannot bring "long-lasting" peace.
"Personally, I don’t believe that military solutions solve problem. I believe in peaceful solutions. Participation of women and youth. You can have victory through military activity but you will always have underlying activity. It’s not just in Kashmire, but all places. We see it in Syria too. If there is a solution, it won’t be long-standing."

[IsraelTimes] An Egyptian security delegation arrives in the Gazoo Strip and meets Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", officials.
Pictures posted on Twitter show Ayman Badia, the deputy head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Services, and Ahmad Abdelkhaliq, the official in the Egyptian GIS in charge of the Paleostinian file, arriving at Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh ...became Prime Minister after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank... ’s office in Gazoo City.
A source tells the Gazoo-based Safa news site that the Egyptian officials came to the coastal enclave to discuss the Rafah crossing, intra-Paleostinian reconciliation and efforts to reinforce a ceasefire between Israel and terrorist groups in the Strip.
On Monday, the Paleostinian Authority pulled its employees out of the Rafah crossing, putting its regular operation at risk.
Egyptian authorities have not said if they will allow the sole crossing between Egypt and Gazoo to remain open on a regular basis without PA employees present.
[IsraelTimes] Dima Tayeh announces plan to run in ruling party’s primaries, defends controversial Nation-State Law that many see as discriminatory to Arab minority
The family of a Moslem Israeli woman who is running as a candidate in the primaries of the ruling Likud party denounced her on Wednesday as disloyal to her people and said it would shun her until she recants.
Dima Tayeh, from the village of Kafr Manda in the Galilee, made headlines on Tuesday when she gave an interview on Hadashot TV news announcing she was running in the right-wing party’s primaries, praising Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defending the controversial Nation-State Law, which critics see as discriminating against Israel’s Arab minority.
If elected, she would be the first Arab Moslempolitician in the Likud party.
On Wednesday, her relatives released a statement saying they "denounce her" and her opinions do not represent them.
"Due to her statements, we will not make contact with her or give her any assistance until she retracts her words and declares loyalty to her people and her faith," the statement said.
Tayeh, who was among a group of Arab Israelis who toured the US to campaign against the BDS movement that seeks to boycott Israel, said she has been a proud Likud member for six years.
"I believe that the Likud can provide security to the nation, a flourishing economy and can really include varied opinions and cultures," she told Hadashot.
"I’m proud to run in the Likud primaries, as an Arab, as a woman, as a Moslem who is extending a hand to her community and trying to help them and the State of Israel, and to improve its image."
During the interview, she defended the recently passed Nation-State Law, saying she had read every sentence and "found nothing racist or discriminatory."
"I don’t see that it harms minorities or any citizen," she said. "Israel is a Jewish state and democratic and there is no other country in the Middle East that respects its citizens and gives them as much equality as possible and democracy for all."
Multiple petitions against the law have been filed with the High Court of Justice by Druze, Arab and Bedouin leaders, rights groups, academics, and the Meretz and Joint List political parties.
Petitioners argued that the law contravenes the basis of Israel’s legal system, as well as its Declaration of Independence, by enshrining inequality among its citizens.
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit countered that claim, saying the law does not violate minority rights because it does not override Israel’s previous semi-constitutional Basic Laws that guarantee them equality.
The Nation-State Law, passed by the Knesset in July, enshrines Israel as "the national home of the Jewish people" and says "the right to exercise national self-determination in the State of Israel is unique to the Jewish people."
It also defines Arabic as a language with a "special" status, effectively downgrading it from its de facto status as Israel’s second official language, though it cryptically stipulates that "this clause does not harm the status given to the Arabic language before this law came into effect."
Every few years Israel removes another opportunity for Palestinians to attack them. And each time the Palestinians and the world shriek that the Juices are being evil and unfair, but whose fault is it?
[IsraelTimes] Israel says new route eases traffic, strengthens connection between Jerusalem and settlements; Paleostinians say it ’embodies barefaced discrimination’
Israel opened a road in the West Bank on Thursday morning with a physical barrier separating Israeli and Paleostinian traffic, the first of its kind, drawing accusations of racism from Paleostinian officials.
Israel’s Transportation Ministry said the road, including its security provisions, provided "a solution for all populations, Israeli and Paleostinian."
The newly inaugurated, five-kilometer Route 4370 is divided down its length by a concrete wall topped with fencing. Two lanes of the road connect the Geva Binyamin settlement, also known as Adam, north of Jerusalem, to the city’s French Hill neighborhood ‐ and are open to Israeli vehicles and to Paleostinians who have entry permits for Jerusalem. The other two lanes branch off and lead around the east and south of the city, without access to Jerusalem itself, and are for vehicles of Paleostinians who do not have access permits for Jerusalem, according to a statement from the Binyamin Regional Council.
There are other divided roads in the West Bank, but none with a wall separating the two categories.
The opening of the road drew swift condemnation from rights groups, the Paleostinian Authority and the PLO.
"This is an Israeli example of apartheid and racist separation that once existed in South Africa. Any Israeli who believes in democracy should feel ashamed about this new road," PLO Executive Committee member Ahmad Majdalani told The Times of Israel.
Israeli officials said Route 4370 is meant to ease traffic congestion at the Hizme checkpoint at the entrance to northern Jerusalem and strengthen the connection between the Binyamin settlement area and the capital city.
"Aside from the traffic congestion problems we’re solving today, we’re also strengthening Binyamin and inaugurating the natural and desired connection between the Binyamin region and Jerusalem," Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion said at Wednesday’s opening ceremony.
Binyamin Regional Council chairman Yisrael Gantz said the thoroughfare was "nothing less than an oxygen pipe for residents of Binyamin and the surrounding area, who work, study and enjoy themselves in the capital city."
The Jerusalem Municipality’s Moriah infrastructure company carried out the work on the road, even though it is not located in the municipality’s limits and is not expected to primarily serve residents of the capital. The barrier between the lanes is eight meters high, Haaretz reported.
The two lanes without access to Jerusalem were opened two weeks ago. The other two lanes, inaugurated on Wednesday, are currently open only from 5 a.m. to noon but will later be open around the clock.
The road was initially paved years ago, but its opening was delayed due to disagreements between the IDF and police over who would staff its checkpoints, a Haaretz report said. Authorities ultimately decided Border Police would be responsible for the checkpoints.
Israeli authorities welcomed the road’s opening as a boon for both Israelis and Paleostinians.
The road is "an example of the ability to create a shared life between Israelis and Paleostinians, while dealing with the existing security challenges," Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan said.
Paleostinian Authority officials and rights groups said the road highlighted discrimination against Paleostinians.
"Anyone with eyes in his head understands that it is impossible for years to maintain such a separation regime ‐ it is immoral and impractical," Aviv Tatarsky of the rights group Ir Amin said.
"All roads in the State of Paleostine should be accessible to Paleostinians," PA Transportation Ministry Spokesman Mohammad Hamdan told The Times of Israel. "This new road is absolutely unacceptable and embodies barefaced discrimination against the Paleostinian people."
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Chairman of the Syrian-Armenian Community in Armenia, George Barseghyan, was interviewed by ArmenPress this week after he and a group of Armenian businessmen met with Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad The Scourge of Hama... in Damascus.
"There was a task that this Board must boost Syria-Armenia ties. The first step was asking for a meeting with Syrian President Bashir al-Assad. And this request was approved very soon. A meeting was scheduled not only with the Syrian President, but also other high-ranking officials of Syria. The Board has formed a delegation consisting of Syrian-Armenians, Armenian businessmen", Barseghyan said.
Barseghyan told the online publication that Assad vowed to rebuild the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church in Deir Ezzor that was destroyed by Jabhat al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... terrorists.
"The Syrian government plans to give priority in these programs to those countries which stood together with it during those years. Armenia is among those countries which didn’t close its embassy during the war, always kept the state ties and sent an aid to Syria. And during the upcoming progress, business programs and restoration works the priority will be given to Armenians", George Barseghyan said, adding that the Syrian government highly values the role of the Armenian community. He said it’s not a coincidence that the Syrian President promised to restore the Armenian Church in Deir ez-Zor with his own resources.
Syria’s historical relationship with Armenia has paved the way for strong political ties between Damascus and Yerevan.
"Our visit pursued several goals. Firstly to strengthen and intensify the Armenia-Syria ties. In addition, we also wanted to express our support to the Syrian President and government. Armenia is one of those unique countries most of the population of which supports the current Syrian government, because we have managed to reach significant success during that leadership’s government. It was a proper occasion to show our support. Eventually, we have an Armenian community in Syria, in Aleppo, Damascus and etc. The local Armenians have very good relations with the authorities, and we also must think about this", he added.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Hezbollah had planned a massive invasion of Israel through the tunnels they had dug along the Lebanese border, the former Chief-of-Staff of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Gadi Eisenkot told Hadashot TV this week.
Eisenkot told Hadashot TV, as quoted by the Times of Israel, that the goal of this Hezbollah operation was to "throw Israel off balance and cause an earthquake in Israeli society."
The IDF chief claimed Hezbollah "had grandiose notions. They were looking many years ahead, to a war or wide escalation, where they [believed they] would have a surprise, an ace in their deck."
According to Eisenkot, Hezbollah "had built what they thought was a fantastic plan, with several tunnels [entering Israel under the border] from the Metulla area to the sea, and their intention was to launch an attack that would begin with a surprise attack from underground ‐ sending 1,000 to 1,500 fighters into our side."
"They planned a massive artillery bombardment of IDF bases. [They aimed to] gain control of a piece of Israeli territory and hold it for weeks," he continued.
Eisenkot claimed that Hezbollah’s main objective was to show how fragile and susceptible Israeli society was to such an attack.
"They said, this is something Israel has never experienced since its founding, and it will be an achievement that will disrupt the State of Israel’s ability to attack inside Leb, throw Israel off balance, and cause an earthquake in Israeli society," he added.
Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, he said, "now knows that Israel has known for years about his most secret plan: to carry out a secret, surprise attack on Israel in the future" via the tunnels.
Eisenkot once quipped that if Nasrallah "knew what we know about him, he’d be the most worried man in the Middle East." On Thursday he said this was even more accurate: "I know much more today."
Excerpts of Eisenkot’s comments aired on Thursday ahead of the full broadcast on Friday evening.
In excerpts from a second interview, with the Kan public broadcaster, Eisenkot said that Israel was "not currently striking in Leb openly, but [is] working through many clandestine channels that contribute to Israel’s security without causing an escalation."

[Legal Insurresction] "Let me be clear: America will not retreat until the terror fight is over."
Back in 2009, former President Barack Obama delivered a speech at American University in Cairo, Egypt, that "promised a new beginning with Muslim and Arab countries." The right criticized Obama "for placing too much blame on the U.S. for strife in the region."
On Thursday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo rejected Obama’s Middle East policy and stated "the age of self-inflicted American shame is over."
Pompeo, while not mentioning Obama by name, said that "it was here, in this city, another American stood before you" and "told you that radical Islamist terrorism does not stem from ideology."
"He told you that 9/11 led my country to abandon its ideals, particularly in the Middle East," he said at the American University in Cairo. "He told you that the United States and the Muslim world needed 'a new beginning.' The results of these misjudgments have been dire."
Pompeo said that under Obama, the U.S. abandoned its allies and was "timid" about asserting itself, that the U.S. "grossly underestimated the tenacity and viciousness of radical Islamism," and kept silent as Iranians tried to rise up against the regime in Tehran.
He also criticized Obama-era policy for "wishful thinking [that] led us to look the other way" as Hezbollah built up its weaponry in Lebanon, and for doing nothing as Syrian President Bashar Assad gassed his own people.
Pompeo turned his attention to Iran and attacked the nuclear deal, which President Donald Trump withdrew America from in 2018. From The Times of Israel:
"President Trump has reversed our willful blindness to the danger of the regime and withdrew from the failed nuclear deal, with its false promises," Pompeo said. "Countries increasingly understand that we must confront the ayatollahs, not coddle them."
He said that "In Lebanon, Hezbollah remains a major presence, but we won't accept this status quo. Our aggressive sanctions campaign against Iran is also directed at the terror group and its leaders."
He also promised our allies in the Middle East that America will always be there:
"Our aim is to partner with our friends and vigorously oppose our enemies, because a strong, secure, and economically viable Middle East is in our national interest ‐ and yours," he said. "Let me be clear: America will not retreat until the terror fight is over."
