[KhaamaPress] The Afghan Army Chief of Staff Gen. Sharif Yaftali says additional forces have been deployed in Ghazni province for a large operation to suppress the holy warriors.
Speaking during a presser in Kabul, Gen. Yaftali said the Commando Forces of the Afghan army have also been deployed to Ghazni
He said a large operation would be launched soon to suppress the gunnies who have launched attacks on some districts in this province.
Gen. Yaftali assured that the deployment of additional forces would change the situation of the conflict in Ghazni province.
In the meantime, Gen. Yaftali said at least 200 gunnies have bit the dust during the festivities in Khas Uruzgan province over the past few days.
He also admitted that some Afghan Commandos have also lost their the recent festivities but did not elaborate further regarding the exact number.
This comes as heavy festivities are underway in Jaghoori and Malistan districts of Ghazni and Khas Uruzgan district of Uruzgan province since the last few days.
[ToloNews] Members of the Ghazni provincial council warned on Monday that Ghazni’s Malistan district is on the verge of collapse and that heavy fighting is ongoing in Jaghori, another district in the province.
Members of the council said if more troops are not deployed to these areas, a humanitarian crisis will unfold. The provincial council also said security forces have suffered a high casualty toll in the ongoing conflict.
Malistan and Jaghori districts were until recently among the most secure districts in the country, but in the past few days, clashes have been ongoing between security forces and the Taliban.
Reports indicate that in the past two days, about 20 security forces, including special forces, have been killed in Jaghori district.
“Hundreds of families have been displaced from the areas that they (Taliban) have taken control of. This group shootsdead anyone they see and do not care whether they are military or civilian,” Hamidullah Nawrozi, a member of Ghazni provincial council said.
Malistan and Jaghori came under attack after hundreds of families fled to Malistan from Khas Uruzgan district just last week due to clashes.
Malistan is bordered by Khas Uruzgan district in Uruzgan province which has also recently seen a surge in clashes between security forces and Taliban. Most of the families that fled the area, headed for Malistan.
“We always ask from the infidels not to let us get killed, lets first push out Americans from the country,” MP Obaidullah Barekzai said.
In the meantime, sources said that Taliban on Sunday night attacked the outskirts of Farah city, in Farah, and Trinkotin Uruzgan province.
“People are worried, the security situation in Farah is worrying,” said Khair Mohammad Norzai, a member of Farah provincial council.
“Currently Taliban are about five to 10 kilometers from Trinkot city. Last night they took control of a security outpost,” Amanullah Azimi, a former senator from Uruzgan, said.
Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mohammad Sharif Yaftali meanwhile said on Monday that security forces have suffered fatalities in Ghazni and Farah but said extra forces have been deployed to the areas to address the problem.
“We do not say that we do not have casualties. Casualty is casualty, no matter whether it is less or more. When you go to war, you will suffer fatalities,” said Yaftali.
In the meantime, reports indicate that Taliban have launched attacks on Dasht-e-Archi district in Kunduz province.
“A number of villages in Qarloq area in Dash-e-Archi have collapsed to the Taliban and the group have bad plans for the area,” Abdullah Qaraloq, a senator said.
In reaction to attacks on Malistan, Jaghori and Khas Uruzgan districts, hundreds of people protested in Kabul on Monday after marching to the Presidential Palace from Sunday night. The protesters said government has failed toaddress security challenges in Ghazni and Uruzgan.
The protest ended on Monday afternoon after President Ashraf Ghani assured the protesters that their voices have been heard.

The explosion happened just after 1.30pm local time.
According to a ministry of interior spokesman, a suicide bomber detonated his explosives after being spotted by police.
Hundreds of protesters have been gathered in the area throughout the day after marching to the Presidential Palace early Monday in protest over the lack of security and ongoing Taliban threats in Ghazni and Uruzgan provinces.

Dijlah TV channel quoted the media office of the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council as saying in a statement that the country’s Central Criminal Court issued the verdicts against the convicts after they confessed to attacking a security checkpoint in El Husseiniya district in Baghdad, leaving 13 people dead and injured.
The murderous Moslems used a bobby-trapped vehicle in the attack, according to the statement.
Courts in Iraq have sentenced many of Islamic State members, including a big number of female members, to death over joining the hard boy group.
The exact number of detained holy warriors is still unknown, however, it’s estimated to be at thousands. It’s also unclear how many members are likely to face death sentences.
Moreover, the Iraqi government did not provide estimates about the number of the foreign detained holy warriors or those who have Arab or Iraqi origins.
Human rights groups have always criticized collective death sentences issued by Iraqi courts, claiming that some detainees are tortured and threatened.
Iraq’s anti-terrorism law empowers courts to convict people who are believed to have helped jihadists even if they are not accused of carrying out attacks.

JERUSALEM (AP) ‐ Gaza militants fired dozens of rockets at southern Israel on Tuesday, killing a man in a strike on a residential building and vowing to further escalate their attacks if Israel keeps bombing the Palestinian territory.
As fighting raged throughout the day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was meeting with his Security Cabinet to plot a way forward. The meeting was still going on after more than four hours of talks.
The heavy exchange of fire, which was triggered by a botched Israeli undercover raid into Hamas-ruled Gaza late Sunday, marked the most serious escalation since an Israel-Hamas war in 2014.
International mediators appealed for restraint, hoping to avert another war.
The Israeli military said some 400 rockets and mortars have been launched from Gaza since Monday afternoon, with about 100 of them intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome defense system.
Israel said it has struck more than 100 targets it says are linked to militants in Gaza, including a strike that destroyed Hamas’ TV station. Three other buildings believed to be connected to Hamas were destroyed, it said.

...any relation to Palestinian-American Linda Sarsour of Pussy March fame?
allegedly aimed to join anti-regime fighters, tried to arrange killing of Dutch activist who organized Prophet Mohammed art contest, and wanted to stab Jews
State prosecutors on Sunday filed an indictment against an Arab Israeli man who had planned to join jihadist anti-regime terror groups in Syria but was prevented from doing so by his mother who took away his passport, the Justice Ministry said in a statement Monday.
In addition to his failed move to Syria, Ahmad Sarsour, 20, from the northern Arab town of Kafr Qassem, also planned to carry out a stabbing attack against Jews in Jerusalem but was talked out of it by an acquaintance, prosecutors said.
Wisely done, O Acquaintances.
Other activities included failed attempt Curses! Foiled again! s to obtain a sniper rifle, explosives and rocket fuel via the internet. He did, however, manage to buy a knife online which he planned to use in the stabbing attack.
Online? When he could more easily have picked up a knife at his local 7-Eleven or stolen it from his mother’s kitchen? Darwin certainly won in this case.
Sarsour is accused of trafficking offenses, manufacturing and importing a knife, attempted illegal travel abroad, funding terror and obstructing justice as well as other offenses, according to the indictments filed Sunday at the Central District Court.
Idle hands are the Devil’s playthings, ‘tis said...
"The defendant, over a long period of time, expressed identification and support for terror groups, expressed a strong desire to leave for Syria for the purposes of jihad, took an intense interest in weapons and explosives, and was even in contact with declared terror organizations," according to the court papers.
The only think missing is a claim of mental disability...
During 2017-2018 and up until his arrest, Sarsour was in contact with activists and supporters of terror organizations and jihad organizations, via the WhatsApp, Facebook and Telegram apps, prosecutors charged.
Sarsour allegedly contacted a member of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham group in Syria, and gave him money on different occasions. In 2017 he planned to leave for Syria and join one of the jihadist groups fighting against the Syrian regime. He bought a ticket from Israel to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund.... on November 7, 2017, and arranged with that activist to illegally cross the border into Syria. The night before he was due to travel his mother found out about his intentions and stopped him from going to the airport, even taking away his passport.
He is also accused of contacting an al-Qaeda supporter over the internet and asking him to help coordinate the liquidation of a Dutch political activist who in 2018 organized an Prophet Mohammed art contest. Under Islamic law, it is forbidden to make images of the Prophet Mohammed.
During 2017-2018 Sarsour allegedly surfed websites supporting terror and those offering services to purchase weapons, explosives and other means to prepare weapons.
He tried to buy potassium to make rockets, even paying a seller who then responded that potassium can’t be sent to Israel. He also looked into buying a $14,000 sniper rifle, prosecutors said.
According to an additional indictment in 2015 Sarsour decided to carry out a stabbing attack against Jews, the Justice Ministry statement said. He bought a knife for that purpose over the internet and then took it along as he prayed at the al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem ahead of carrying out the attack. However, there's more than one way to skin a cat... an acquaintance persuaded him to not carry out the plan.
On October 21, security forces arrived to arrest him at home at which point Sarsour tried to delete the Facebook app from his cellphone.
The indictment noted that Sarour’s actions "point to an bully boy ideology which is expressed in a tendency to carry out active terror actions and so there is a reasonable concern that the defendant will endanger public safety."
Prosecutors asked that he be held until the end of proceedings.
Comparatively few Arab Israelis have joined jihadist groups in Syria in recent years, with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. But the Shin Bet security service has said it views the possibility of Israeli citizens joining IS to be a "serious security threat." A few dozen Israeli Arabs from northern Israel have been locked away Book 'im, Mahmoud! for alleged links with IS in recent years. Roughly 20 are now believed to be among its ranks in Syria and Iraq.

[Rudaw] A Kurdish-led force backed by a US-led anti-jihadist coalition said Sunday that it was resuming its offensive against the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an Arab-Kurdish alliance, had announced it was suspending its operation on October 31 after The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's colony in Asia Minor.... shelled Kurdish militia posts in northern Syria.
The SDF said the resumption followed "intensive contacts" with the international coalition and "strong diplomatic activity" to defuse the crisis.
"The leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces has decided to resume military operations against the Islamic State group, and work towards its definitive defeat," the force said in an online statement.
"While it remains determined to chase down terrorism, (the SDF) also confirms its determination to protect the northern border of Syria," it added.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said the operation had not yet restarted, although SDF reinforcements had been sent to the area.
However it said the international coalition had continued to conduct air raids on the area, killing dozens of jihadists as well as civilians.
The Britannia-based monitor, which relies on a network of contacts across Syria, has reported near-daily Ottoman Turkish shelling in Kurdish areas since late October, which killed five Kurdish fighters.
But on Sunday it said coalition officials had assured Kurdish forces that Turkey would cease its shelling, adding that there had been no bombardment there since Friday.
Ankara views the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), which forms the backbone of the SDF, as a "terrorist" group linked to Kurdish rebels who have waged a decades-long insurgency inside Turkey.
The Ottoman Turkish government has long opposed the establishment of a de facto autonomous Kurdish area in northeastern Syria, fearing it could embolden separatists at home.
But its NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... ally Washington has backed the Kurdish fighters in the battle against IS.
After the SDF announced it was halting its operation, Washington said it was in communication with both sides to push for de-escalation.
In an attempt to defuse tensions, Ottoman Turkish and American troops launched joint patrols in the northern Syrian city of Manbij earlier this month.
They also carried out patrols in Kurdish territories shelled by Turkey.
Backed by the international coalition, the SDF launched its assault on the IS enclave around the Euphrates valley town of Hajin on September 10.
After making progress against the jihadists, it suffered a major setback last month when IS fighters launched a series of deadly counter-attacks using the cover of sand storms.
