Fixed the original post. Sometimes it takes a moderator putting the thing through the edit function without in any way modifying it in order for the thing to work. You made no mistakes, g(r)omgoru — it’s just a quirk of Rantburg’s code.
Thank you for jumping on the issue immediately via a comment, so our readers did not have to wait until a moderator wandered through, sipping metaphorical coffee.

Retired Supremes Stevennns sez Kav does not have the dameen'er to be a Supreme due to his anger during the recent Congressional hearing.
Well...
Your wife and kids did not get death threats as a part of the confirmation process back in the day, gabacho AND if they had and you thought that was cool, you ain't much of a man, DAWG!
This seems illegal as hell. When will this FBI/DOJ swamp creature, attorney Ford, be investigated?
[WSJ] A friend of Christine Blasey Ford told FBI investigators that she felt pressured by Dr. Ford's allies to revisit her initial statement that she knew nothing about an alleged sexual assault by a teenage Brett Kavanaugh, which she later updated to say that she believed but couldn't corroborate Dr. Ford's account, according to people familiar with the matter.
Leland Keyser, who Dr. Ford has said was present at the gathering where she was allegedly assaulted in the 1980s, told investigators that Monica McLean, a retired Federal Bureau of Investigation agent and a friend of Dr. Ford's, had urged her to clarify her statement, the people said.
On Thursday, a day after sending to the White House the report on its investigation into the allegations against Judge Kavanaugh, the FBI sent the White House and Senate an additional package of information that included text messages from Ms. McLean to Ms. Keyser, according to a person familiar with the matter.

If you go under oath one time and answer no to a question, then you go under oath another time and answer yes to the same question that means that you committed perjury at least once, right? That would then render any testimony you ever gave inadmissible, would it not? I'm no lawyer but that seems only logical. Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus?

Ford's original letter indicated that Keyser was a "he", an easy mistake to make if McLean, not Ford, actually wrote the letter. Very sloppy for an ex-FBI agent. This whole episode has been an engineered hit job from the start. I just hope enough trunks have the stones to ignore the screamers.
[Freebeacon] Sens. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) spoke Thursday outside the Supreme Court at a rally hosted by prominent Women's March organizers and anti-Israel activists Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory.
Sarsour and Mallory hosted the rally to show their support for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, one of the women who have accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct. Both Sarsour and Mallory shared remarks before turning over the microphone to Warren, who said that she believes Ford's testimony.
"I believe Christine Blasey Ford! I am angry on behalf of women who have been told to sit down and shut up one time too many!" Warren said.
[Breitbart] Activist Robert Reich, who served as Bill Clinton’s Secretary of Labor, sent out a blast email on behalf of MoveOn.org on Thursday asking for donations to fund "MoveOn’s emergency campaign to stop Brett Kavanaugh."
In the email, MoveOn.org, which has been massively backed by billionaire George Soros, warned the group’s anti-Kavanaugh plot is set to include "direct actions in Washington, D.C., at Senate office buildings, including busing in constituents from key states."
The radical organization also wrote in the email it was planning to:
Escalate pressure on key senators, especially Susan Collins. Collins is the key swing vote in this process, and MoveOn is continuing to lift up stories from her constituents, support direct actions in Maine, and purchase ads in her state calling for her to stand with survivors, defend reproductive rights, and stop Kavanaugh.
Hold Republicans accountable. We will not forget their party’s actions at last week’s hearing, their unwavering support for Kavanaugh, and their attempts to discredit Dr. Blasey Ford and others when we head to the ballot box in five weeks. Ending GOP control of Congress and electing people who believe survivors. We will end GOP control of Congress and elect people who believe survivors and listen to women‐because the fight for our fundamental rights is essential.
"Will you chip in $3 right now and help support MoveOn’s emergency campaign to stop Brett Kavanaugh?" the email asked.
The blast email smeared Kavanaugh as “accused sexual predator and right-wing anti-woman, anti-LGBTQ partisan.”

Yep. I got a text from MoveOn yesterday addressed to Julie. I replied I was male and a Trump voter. They were polite and said they would remove my phone number from their list.

I get messages from that group addressed to a person I know, but will not name here. (Believe me, the lefties do troll Rantburg and other sites for info).
I've not responded as you did SC3142, as I want to know what they're up to.

"Direct Action." Sounds threatening. Soros best be careful he doesn't end up at the end of another lefty Dem plot that backfires. So far they have not been very successful. Just managed to kiss/piss-off more and more American people. He ought to use his billions for something more useful. He has a spiderweb of fake left wing charities dedicated to agitation, rioting and social unrest.
[Roll Call] Sen. Steve Daines won't be in town if the Senate votes this weekend on Brett Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, which could leave Republicans in a bind.
The Montana Republican told AP that he will attend his daughter’s wedding back home on Saturday regardless of a possible weekend vote on the embattled Supreme Court nominee.
Daines told The Associated Press Thursday that this weekend there’s going to be a new Supreme Court justice and that he is going to walk his daughter down the aisle.
Daines has backed Kavanaugh’s nomination throughout the confirmation process and is an anticipated "yes" vote.
[PRESSTV] The National Council of Churches announced Wednesday that Kavanaugh, a federal appeals court judge in Washington, has "disqualified himself" from being a member of the nation’s highest court.
The group says in a statement that at last week’s dramatic Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, he showed "extreme partisan bias," demonstrating he lacks the temperament to join the top court.
Kavanaugh is a Roman Catholic who has said religion is an important part of his life. The council does not represent Roman Catholics.

Nothing wrong with a little righteous anger, especially if one is falsely accused.
When you ask yourself "What would Jesus do?", remember that knocking over tables and chasing people with a whip are viable options.

Exactly. She knows she is toast so she is being a good little commie soldier and virtue signaling her ass off to stay in good graces with the masters and she'll get a cushy job in their organizations.

For Democrats, losing an election is not the end of the line. She can always get a job as a lobbyist or a bureaucrat is she displays her communist bona fides. Home state voters be damned.

Don't forget academia for soft jobs, and book deals for further well-deserved rewards. But you only get the payoff -after- the job.
(FWIW, not all professorships in academia are soft, but pols rarely retire into STEM.)
