[FOX] In an incredible sweetheart plea deal, Imran Awan ‐ a former IT aide to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., and other congressional Democrats ‐ pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of making a false statement on a home equity loan.
I sat flabbergasted in the courtroom in Washington as the plea agreement was entered.
I spent the last year interviewing hundreds of people and chasing leads for my upcoming book ‐titled "Spies in Congress" ‐ about the alleged spy ring believed led by Awan that may have operated in the offices of more than 40 Democratic members of Congress.
If not for my extensive research on this case, I might have assumed the government just couldn’t find enough evidence to make a solid case against Awan on more serious charges than bank fraud.
When I asked Justice Department prosecutor J.P. Cooney why the government made this odd plea deal he just smiled and waved me away as he told me to ask the Justice Department Office of Public Affairs. The office declined to answer my questions.
Shockingly, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia issued a news release about Awan’s plea agreement that made no mention of his IT work for Democrats in Congress, no mention of Wasserman Schultz, and made his case sound like a minor local criminal matter of little interest to anyone. It was headlined: "Virginia Man Pleads Guilty to Making False Statement on Application for Home Equity Loan."
Ho-hum, right? Actually, nothing could be further from the truth.
Awan is due to be sentenced Aug. 21 and could get off with no jail sentence, according the plea agreement. Prosecutors said they would not recommend jail time ‐ in effect, giving Awan a get-out-of-jail-free card.
Just like that, the Department of Justice is making an important case go away as if nothing much happened.
Awan’s wife, Hina Alvi, is having all charges against her dismissed as part of the agreement. On the FBI's 'radar' for some time, possibly years, even decades ?

This did have a very strange smell from the start.
Duel citizen, Pakistani IT specialists/hackers working for the DNC, who live in Woodbridge, VA, also have a used car dealership in Falls Church, traveling to and from Pakistan. Awans flee the U.S. and return to Pakistan virtually without comment from the USI or Law Enforcement (LE). Rep. Wasserman Schultz becomes “frantic, not normal,” threatens D.C. police official, "makes the rounds" to House officials in an attempt to kill the Awan financial fraud Investigation.
House Ethics Committee remains silent. USI says little if anything. LE appears reluctant to further investigate, bring charges.
Awan’s wife, Hina Alvi, eats cheese...gets Katherine Russell deal (Tamerlan Tsarnaev's widow), 'is having all charges against her dismissed as part of the agreement.'
Entire Awan matter runs parallel Robert Mueller Trump-Russia 'collusion' investigation and disinformation campaign.
Obviously the Awan affair is turning into a colossal cock-up. I just wish the Intelligence Community would be a bit more forthcoming. What would be the harm in simply releasing the... 'project name?'

Does Awan appear in the Strzok-Page texts made public? Or is that traffic in the "missing" and "unrecoverable" texts. Hard to believe that the Deputy Assistant Director of the Counterintelligence Division wouldn't be engaged in the Awan matter in order to keep a lid on the situation.
As a side note, Google offers up "peter strzok oga" in search type ahead.

Our Justice Department must not let Awan & Debbie Wasserman Schultz off the hook. The Democrat I.T. scandal is a key to much of the corruption we see today. They want to make a “plea deal” to hide what is on their Server. Where is Server? Really bad!

I know I must sound like a broken record, but it's not being discussed and all going nowhere for a reason. Car dealerships (and the ability to switch cars and plates) along with the handling and transfer of large sums of cash......are standard tradecraft covers for espionage.

[WGNTV] The Rev. Michael Pfleger is pushing back against Chicago and Illinois State Police who threaten arrests if protesters interfere with traffic on the Dan Ryan Expressway this weekend.
Pfleger and other clergy members, including the Rev. Jesse Jackson, announced Tuesday a bold step in the ongoing campaign of civil unrest against street violence and economic imbalance in Chicago.
They plan to march on the Dan Ryan at 79th Street around 10 a.m. Saturday.
Pfleger said St. Sabina parishioners and others have been marching in the neighborhoods for months, with little impact. Borrowing from the civil rights movement of the 60's, Pfleger said it's time to kick things up a notch and make society take notice.
State police issued a news release that said pedestrians are forbidden on expressways; violators will face arrest and prosecution.
While officials respect citizens' rights to protest, the release said,, public safety must take priority when it comes to high-speed traffic and pedestrians.
Protest organizers point to the many instances when U.S. presidents have come to town and shut down expressways, as well as other events that close streets like Lollapalooza and Taste of Chicago.

The arising condition is largely because the media defined everything in simple terms and graphics that looked good on a TV screen. They came to confuse the picture with the reality.
Instead of Dem / Repub on a line graph, you've got liberal / conservative on the X axis, rich / poor on the Y axis, and old / young on the Z axis. The cloud scatter is hard for them to analyze, particularly if they've got the wrong perspective angle.

[DAILYWIRE] In Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina, social justice activists are telling their followers to boycott the Fourth of July this year, not to buy hot dogs or fireworks, and even to crash other people’s cookouts. They say they refuse to celebrate until America addresses what they see as endemic racism; one referred to the current climate as “Trump terror.”
Durham minister and activist Paul Scott, who has reiterated his call to boycott the Fourth for weeks, said, "I hope it's going to start a chain reaction.” On Instagram, he wrote, "People are asking, 'what can I do as an individual to make things better?' Well, one thing everybody can do is boycott July Fourth.”
Scott continued, "We are experiencing a rise in racial hatred, we have children of immigrants being torn away from their parents. In this era of 'Trump terror,' I don't think many Americans have too much to celebrate this year." He added on Instagram, "Don't buy fireworks, don't buy franks. Don't buy none of that. That will send a message to this country that we will no longer tolerate injustice."

[TheHill] NPR reported on Tuesday that Associate Deputy Attorney General Scott Schools will leave the Department of Justice (DOJ).
NPR notes that Schools's departure comes after he played a critical role in some of the Justice Department's most important recent decisions. Schools reportedly recommended that then-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe be dismissed for his "lack of candor" in an internal probe.
He also received regular briefings from special counsel Robert Mueller about the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
Schools's decision comes a few months after Rachel Brand stepped down from her position as associate attorney general in February.
Brand left her postion as the No. 3 official at the DOJ after nine months in order to to become Walmart's executive vice president of global governance and corporate secretary.
NPR reports that Schools is leaving for a position in the private sector. A source told the news outlet that there was no sign Schools's departure came because he was being pushed out. He'll be replaced by Bradley Weinsheimer, who currently works in the national security unit.

Myles Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Tuesday while commenting on a new poll which has revealed that less Americans are identifying themselves as patriots two years into President Donald Trump’s first term in the White House.
The Gallup poll, released on Monday, showed that only 47 percent of Americans were extremely proud to be American, down four points from 2016 and far from the peak of 70 percent in 2003.
The hike in lack of pride was mainly caused by a dip among Democrats whose number dropped from 45 percent in 2016 to 32 percent in 2018, Trump’s second year in office. The number also fell among independents by three points.
Republicans, on the other hand, have moved up six points under the Republican president.
Disillusionment among millennials
“During times of distress in the United States it isn’t surprising to see the sense of pride or patriotism decrease. The opposite is also true as we see when the US is singled out for attack, patriotism not only rises but goes atmospheric. September 11, 2001 was the best example how ‘everyone’ was an American, Rudy Giuliani, mayor of New York was America’s mayor, and the whole world identified with America. Today we’re seeing a reverse and in many ways, it’s being led by millennials. Patriotism belonged to their parents’ generation,” Hoenig said.
“Younger people are becoming more and more disillusioned with all that’s going on. Political affiliation with the two main parties is dropping among them, especially for the Democrats. When they see immigrant families fleeing oppression, fear and terror and journey to the north, their hearts open up to them but they see their country not only turning their backs on them, but acting in ways they never knew was possible in the United States,” he stated.
“Democrats’ disillusionment with patriotism is solely party driven. For both parties, and maybe more for Democrats, the attainment of or maintenance of political power is their driving force. Unable to win the most winnable election in decades, it’s no surprise that they feel let down, but let down by America itself, not their own weaknesses and incompetency as a political party,” he stated.
“On the other hand, ‘Making America Great Again’ resonates with the hard core Trump supporters, just as ‘Morning in America’ did for Reagan supporters. What better time to rally around the flag and your president when enemies of the state are at your gate: the media, intellectuals, gays and lesbians, human rights supporters, liberals, anyone with a reasonable moral compass,” the activist said.
“As the noose of judicial investigation tightens ever so much around Trump’s neck, it’s all the more reasonable for more and more people to question how a country such as ours can continue to tolerate the buffoonery, demagoguery and outright slide into a brutal totalitarianism. It gets less and less likely for people to be patriotic when they are in such a tailspin away from the pretense that the United States is even a democracy, a representative government,” the analyst concluded.

However, almost everyone pointing back to Ross’s fake news report on Michael Flynn in December; and almost no-one is pointing out the more obvious motive for the resignation.
Brian Ross was almost guaranteed to be "Reporter 4" in the federal indictment of Senate former senior senate intelligence committee staffer James Wolfe. The notorious Senate Intelligence "leaker".
CTH originally pointed this out when the details of the indictment were released (full pdf below), and research was possible to determine each reporter. It did not come as a surprise to see the staff from this specific committee leaking secret and top-secret classified information. The committee rots from the head down.
According to the indictment Wolfe was notified by the FBI of a classified intelligence leak investigation on/around October 30th, 2017. From the indictment we see that Wolfe was interviewed and confronted by FBI investigators on December 15th, 2017. After admitting he lied to those FBI investigators Wolfe resigned from his position.
On December 15th, 2017 Wolfe was busted; the FBI had him dead-to-rights. However, the grand jury proceedings didn’t start until May 3rd, 2018; and the indictment was sealed until June 7th, 2018. That means six months of investigative work was taking place between busting Wolfe on Dec. 15th, and indicting Wolfe on June 7th.
On December 15th, according to the indictment, the FBI investigators were aware of four specific journalists, "reporters", who participated in the leak material. The FBI likely had more to choose from, but selected those four reporters -with specific intents and purposes- during the interview with Mr. Wolfe. The four reporters are not named, but their activity is outlined enough to make it possible to determine who is who.
