[ABC13] We first brought you this story last month when 13-year-old Zavion Parker claimed he was grabbed by an adult and four young men after stepping off his school bus.
Zavion alleges he was robbed and beaten, all because of his race. He also said he was held at a property at gunpoint until he was able to escape.
Michelle Lee, the teen's mother, told Eyewitness News her son managed to escape the gun-wielding kidnappers.
"The reason why they got him was because they said he was black. 'You deserve to die.' Exactly his words," Lee told ABC13 in May. "Saying the dad had, like, a white muscle shirt on, and you could see it, was right here big as day. 'I hate black people.'"
But after a thorough investigation, the Houston Police Department now says the events as described did not occur, that the property Parker described had nothing to do with any crime.
HPD says they will not be filing charges against anyone involved in what was essentially a false report.

If a Zulu misplaces his cellie, it is not the individual's fault, the fone has made itself difficult to find. A very supersticious culture with a seemingly genetic knack for blaming misfortune on others, the weather, or innate objects.

to #1: Interesting info. My wife (not Zulu) blamed the cat for items she couldn't find. I just ignored/eyerolled it, until the day we caught the cat hiding her keys between the sofa cushions. Found quite the cache there.

Give her the same punishment that her "attackers" were facing.
I'm feeling pretty good about the decisions I've made in my life after reading this.
On Wednesday’s Botched we caught up with Bryan Ray, a fan who has spent over $80,000 to look like pop superstar, Britney Spears. Ray started with veneers at the age of 17, and moved on to things like fillers and Botox, laser hair removal, chemical peels and plastic surgery. After getting his nose done once, Ray did not get the results he was hoping for."After the swelling and everything went down, I just wasn't satisfied with the complete result," Ray said. "The bridge of it is much wider than what Britney has right now."Ray’s efforts to look like Britney earned him some national attention in early 2017, and he decided to plan an upcoming tour to cash in on the fame. So he went to see Dr. Paul Nassif and Dr. Terry Dubrow to try and get his nose to a more Britney-like place before hitting the road.Unfortunately, Ray got some bad news when Dr. Nassif informed him that another surgery on his nose would cause it to collapse in at the bottom. A disappointed Ray opted out of the surgery, and thanked the good doctor with his take on a signature Britney dance move that is sure to make those years of medical school totally worth it.
Don't recall if this was reported at the time:

If you're gonna rough somebody up, don't make it the chief justice. Not even an ex-chief justice.
On May 13, 2017, Chaudhry, the then CJP, was marching towards the apex court to answer the allegation of misuse of office before the Supreme Judicial Council when he was manhandled and roughed up by police personnel.

[DAWN] Jemima Goldsmith, the former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan, warned on Wednesday that she would file a defamation suit against journalist Reham Khan — Imran's second wife — if her "libellous" book was published in the United Kingdom (UK).
In a tweet, Jemima said that though she had been "assured" that Reham's book was too "libellous" to be published in the UK, she would sue on behalf of her son for defamation and breach of privacy if it did see the light of day.
"I will be suing for defamation and breach of privacy on behalf of my (then) 16-year-old son and in relation to the moronic, re-hashed Zionist conspiracy theories," Jemima added.
Reham's autobiography, that is yet to be published, became a source of controversy last week after actor Hamza Ali Abbasi claimed to have read a manuscript of the book and accused her of being on a "PML-N agenda". The accusation was followed by a Twitter spat between Reham and Hamza, in which the former alleged that the latter had been threatening her since last year.
It has caused a furore among the PTI ranks, with Abbasi releasing screenshots of emails and issuing a statement last week to claim it has “documentary evidence” that the author was in contact with PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal and the book was being published to damage the PTI.

[DAWN] ISLAMABAD: The prosecution continued to advance final arguments in the Avenfield properties reference as the lead counsel for the Sharif family abstained from the proceedings of the accountability court for the second consecutive day on Wednesday.
Khawaja Haris, the counsel for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif ... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts... , and Advocate Amjad Pervez, representing Maryam Nawaz and her husband retired Captain Mohammad Safdar, have not been attending the proceedings since the prosecution started the final arguments on Tuesday.
On Monday, Mr Haris had expressed his disappointment when the court, while ignoring his suggestion for closing the prosecution evidence in all the references, including al-Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investments, and conducting the final arguments simultaneously, discontinued Panamagate Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head Wajid Zia’s cross-examination in the al-Azizia reference and opted for final arguments in the Avenfield reference.
The counsel left the courtroom in dismay saying that since the evidence in all three references was the same ‐ the JIT report, documentation related to Gulf Steel Mills (GSM), Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... i investment and offshore companies ‐ the defence would show its cards in the final arguments in the Avenfield reference.
He was of the view that since star witness Wajid Zia had to testify in the Flagship reference, there was a possibility that he would remove those lacunae which the defence might point out in the final arguments.
On Tuesday, the accountability court had dismissed an application filed by Mr Sharif seeking postponement of final arguments in the Avenfield reference till the closing of prosecution evidence in the remaining two cases.
Since the accountability court has started proceedings in three references against the ousted prime minister in September last year, the Sharif family has moved over two dozen applications seeking different relief from clubbing of the references to exemption from personal appearance. But accountability judge Mohammad Bashir has rejected all the pleas except two ‐ post-arrest bail of Capt Safdar and deleting forgery charge against Maryam.

A federal court in Chicago has ruled that printing "In God we trust" on U.S. currency doesn’t violate a Satanist’s rights under the Constitution.
The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that the motto is not an endorsement of a particular religion but rather a phrase that "merely acknowledges a part of our nation’s heritage (albeit a religious part)."
"The motto’s placement on currency has the secular purpose of recognizing the religious component of our nation’s history," Chief Judge Diane Wood wrote in her opinion. "And it does not affect current religious practices."
Kenneth Mayle, a Chicago man who follows what he calls "nontheistic Satanism," argued that the motto forces him to affirm and spread a religious message that contradicts his religious beliefs. Mayle also claimed the motto discriminated against adherents of religions that are not monotheistic. Then only use electronic forms of money. Assclown
The phrase "In God we trust" started appearing on U.S. coins in 1864 as a result of heightened religious sentiment during the Civil War. It was partly a reaction to Southern leaders’ decision to declare the Confederacy a Christian nation. President Abraham Lincoln opposed moves to amend the U.S. Constitution to state the same, so Northern Protestant leaders settled on adding the motto to coins.
This isn’t the first time Mayle has attempted to defend his Satanist beliefs in court. In April 2017, a federal judge in Chicago tossed out a lawsuit that he brought against an Illinois law that prohibits adultery. He claimed that Satanism encourages adultery and that the defunct law had a "chilling effect" on his relationships.
Illinois, like many other states, still has anti-adultery laws on the books that are no longer enforced. The judge found that Mayle had no grounds to sue, the Associated Press reported. Seems more like an attention whore to me...
