[Wash Times] The lead drafters of the explosive January 2017 U.S. intelligence report asserted that Russia acted covertly to boost Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election will be privately grilled by the Senate next week.
Late Friday, the Senate Intelligence Committee announced it will hold a closed-door hearing on the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) "Assessing Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections" to evaluate the "research and writing" that went into the document.
Witnesses to provide testimony include former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former National Security Administration Director Admiral Mike Rogers. Former FBI Director James Comey, whom Mr. Trump fired almost a year ago, has also been invited.

Yes, now that we've wasted tens of millions of taxpayer dollars and countless thousands of hours of what could have been, productive legislative time.... please tell us once again how this bullshi* got started.

We just received internet in our mountain valley and we have been watching “Game of Thrones”. In light of our current political situation, I have started comparing the program’s characters with our current politicians.
Tyron Lannister = Trump - both are intelligent, daring and slightly flawed individuals.
Lysa Arryn = Hillary Clinton
Robin Arryn = Bill Clinton - Lysa nursed Robin much to long - she was in love with power and died because of it.
Theon greyjoy=mueller - a nutless traitor to our nation
Viserys Targaryen = Obama

[DAWN] British schools were urged to act to protect girls at risk of being taken abroad for marriage during the summer holidays after government figures released on Thursday showed nearly a third of reports of possible forced marriage involved children.
The warning came a day after a mother went on trial in Birmingham accused of tricking her teenage daughter into travelling to Pakistain to marry a much older man to whom she was allegedly betrothed when she was 13.
Campaigners said the case could lead to the country’s first conviction for forced marriage.
Data released by the government’s Forced Marriage Unit (FMU) on Thursday showed it received reports of 1,196 possible cases last year.
Although the figure was 19 per cent down on 2016, it said the drop did not represent a decrease in the prevalence of forced marriage which remained a "hidden crime".

[KentLive] Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells hospitals' chief nurse has said patients' health is at risk from dirty mattresses.
Hospital bosses have now launched an investigation to check staff are cleaning beds in between patients.
Chief nurse Claire O'Brien said soiled mattresses are often seen around the organisation and must be "dealt with appropriately".
Nurse O’Brien said at the trust board meeting on Thursday (April 26): "We are using this opportunity to remind all our staff on their responsibilities to make sure that mattresses are clean after every single patient.
"This is a really important issue for us to pay attention to and we are going to remind people just how damaged a mattress can be and it can be grim.
"There is a need to make sure there hasn’t been any seepage through the cover and into the mattress.
"Often it can be obvious if the mattress cover is stained but sometimes, not so often because you can get small leak in the mattress which can allow a seepage of liquids into the mattress, which is a significant infection control hazard."
She added other hospitals have run similar investigations where "you can find something on the mattress that you just don’t want to find".
[BBC] The head of the UN's World Food Programme (WFP) believes there is a "sense of optimism" among North Korea's leaders after enjoying what he said was unprecedented access to the country.
David Beasley spent two days in the capital, Pyongyang, and two outside it, accompanied by government minders.
He said the country was working hard to meet nutritional standards, and hunger was not as high as in the 1990s.
"There is a sense of turning a new page in history," he told the BBC.
Relations between North Korea and the rest of the world have seen a dramatic shift.
Last year the North Korean government carried out a string of nuclear and missile tests.
[DAWN] A third teenage girl has been raped and burned alive in a week in India, the latest brutal sexual assault to shock the country.
The 16-year-old died from the burns after being set alight by a 26-year-old man who acted after the young woman said she would tell her family about the rape.
Two other teenagers were victims of similar attacks a week earlier in Jharkhand state. One died and one is fighting for her life in hospital.
The latest teenager was alone at her home in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh state when she was raped, police said on Friday.
"We have tossed in the clink Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! the two accused. One of them is the cousin of the girl who informed the main suspect that she was alone in the house," said Sagar district police superintendent Satyendra Kumar Shukla.
"The main accused is married with a child," Kumar told AFP.

[Daily Caller] The California Assembly discussed Thursday a bill that would replace Abraham Lincoln or George Washington’s birthday with International Socialist Workers’ Day as a paid holiday.
California Democrat Assemblyman Miguel Santiago introduced Bill AB-3042, which would allow schools to replace Washington Day and Lincoln Day with Presidents’ Day and install an "International Workers’ Day" ‐ conventionally known as "May Day" ‐ as a second holiday.
"I’m aghast that a bill like this would be able to get through committee," California Republican Assemblyman Matthew Harper said to the Assembly. "Are we in competition to be the laughing stock of the United States?"
Are we going that far to the left?” Harper asked. “This is ridiculous; this is insane; this is un-American. And for folks who think that the U.S. won the Cold War with the Soviet Union, this makes it sound like we’re going in the other direction — that indeed California is kowtowing to the Soviet domination of the Cold War.”

Herein lies one of the biggest problems with illegal immigration. We have a whole new segment of the population that doesn't know what it means to be an American, doesn't know the difference between communism and capitalism, has no respect for the values of the people who built this country. No wonder the Democrat party wants more of them.

And do not forget this huge fact, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, Youtube, and other powerful new media giants are California based and run by these leftist communists. Matt Drudge calls them the Masters of the Universe. Everyone around the world connect with each other through their hardware and software.
Pelosi and Maxine's heads are exploding over Trump tax cuts. As Communists, your hard earned money is thier money.

Fine, but here's the deal. Every year on May Day, all the celebrants draw tickets for a lottery, the winners will either be starved to death, tortured to death, shot to death or run over by tanks, just like all their heros did in the name of Communism.

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Can those of us who have been paying attention watch from a safe distance? Catered Skybox would be OK...
