[DAWN] An Afghan Taliban ...Arabic for students... suicide kaboomer blew up a bomb-laden car in Kabul during rush hour on Saturday, killing at least two civilians, as gunnies dial up pressure in the capital amid calls for peace talks.
Several others were maimed in the blast claimed by the Taliban that the Afghan interior ministry said had targeted global security company G4S.
It was the fourth suicide attack in Kabul in three weeks and comes days after the top US general in Afghanistan said protecting the city was "our main effort".
It also comes as the Taliban face growing pressure to take up Afghanistan's Caped PresidentAshraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. .. 's offer of peace talks to end the 16-year war. So far it has given only a muted response.
"Around 9:10 am this morning a suicide boom-mobilewent kaboom! in Police District Nine of Kabul," interior ministry front man Najib Danish told AFP.
Two non-combatants were killed and three others were maimed in the attack, Danish said. The blast happened at a time when many people would have been driving to their offices on the first day of the working week.

[RADIOSHABELLE] A powerful roadside kaboom has destroyed a military vehicle in the outskirts of Mogadishu, the Somali capital on Saturday morning, witnesses said.
An eyewitness confirmed to Radio Shabelle that a remote-controlled landmine struck the vehicle carrying Somali soldiers from Lower Shabelle region and heading to Mogadishu.
He said the blast has inflicted casualties on the soldiers, but, the number of the fatalities has not yet been established so far. No group has grabbed credit for the attack.
The attack was the latest in series of landmine kabooms targeting Somali and AMISOM troops on the main highway linking Mogadishu to Afgoye district in the past few weeks.

[DAWN] Indian government forces killed two turbans who tried to snatch a guard’s rifle in disputed Kashmire, police alleged in a statement on Friday.
As word of the killings spread, protests against Indian rule and festivities erupted in the region.
At least two men were trapped overnight in a home on the outskirts of Srinagar after they tried to take the rifle from an officer guarding a local leader of India’s ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, police said, adding that the officer was maimed.
Counterinsurgency police and soldiers cordoned off the neighbourhood and killed the two men in the exchange of gunfire that followed, they claimed.
The slain men were from neighbouring Pulwama district, where officials ordered schools and colleges to be closed on Friday in an attempt to stop student protests.
Protests and festivities occurred separately in another village north of Srinagar after authorities sealed it on a tip that some suspected turbans were hiding there.
Police said a brief shootout followed, but at least two turbans escaped during the severe festivities between rock-throwing protesters and government forces using tear gas. No casualties were immediately reported.

According to Political Administration officials, unidentified miscreants opened fire on the polio team comprising seven volunteers in Safi tehsil of the agency.
Two polio workers managed to escape the attack and reached Ghalanai, the headquarter of Mohmand Agency, and informed about the incident, the officials said.
Attacks targeting polio teams were very frequent few years back but following the military operation, their frequency has decreased over the last few years.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Gazoo Strip came under attack again tonight, as Israeli warplanes and artillery, opened fire upon targets throughout the besieged coastal enclave.
The Israeli shellings were primarily reported to have taken place in the East of Gazoo, in the Zeitoun neighborhoods and surround al-Bureij Refugee Camp.
A confirmed civilian injury, reported to the Press by the Paleostinian Ministry of Health, is being treated at the al-Shifa hospital. Emergency response units are still searching the scene, no more information on injuries or deaths have been confirmed.

Gazans pour sewage into the sea - they hurt Mother Gaia!
[IsraelTimes] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday vowed that Israel would demolish the house of the Paleostinian who ran over and killed two IDF soldiers and maimed two others in a car-ramming attack in the West Bank.
"We will work to demolish the home of the terrorist and will deal with him to the fullest extent of the law," he said.
The statements came after the Shin Bet security service said that 26-year-old Ala Qabha confessed to carrying out the attack.
The security agency said that it appeared the Paleostinian resident of the village of Barta’a, near Jenin, acted alone, and possibly spontaneously, when he drove his vehicle into a group of soldiers standing guard near the settlement of Mevo Dotan in the northern West Bank on Friday afternoon. The army on Friday designated the car-ramming as a terror attack.
Qabha did a U-turn on the road before plowing into the soldiers, and accelerated into them, Israeli TV reports said Saturday, leaving no doubt that the attack was deliberate.
Earlier Saturday, IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot confirmed that Israeli forces tossed in the clink Youse'll never take me alive coppers!... [BANG!]... Ow!... I quit! Qabha’s brother and an uncle in the family’s hometown of Barta’a, outside Jenin. Both relatives were initially suspected of helping him carry out the deadly attack.
Forces also mapped out Qabha’s home in preparation for its demolition, conducted a broader search of the village for illegal weapons, and continued security checks of cars in the roads surrounding Barta’a.
Qabha’s family insisted the deadly incident was an accident. His father told the Walla news site Saturday that his son is not affiliated with any terrorist group, and did not intentionally target Israeli troops. "This isn’t the first car accident like this and won’t be the last," Rateb Qabha said. "You hear about accidents like these every day in the news."
Asked about reports in Hebrew-language media that his son was known to Israeli intelligence services, and had recently been released from prison, Qabha downplayed the allegations, saying that Ala had gotten in to trouble once "for stone throwing or something like that."
On Friday, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai announced that he had revoked the work permits of some 30 relatives of Qabha following the attack.
A front man for the Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva said Saturday morning that there had been no improvement in the status of the pair of injured soldiers, whose conditions remained very serious and moderate respectively. Both of the soldiers underwent multiple surgeries overnight for injuries sustained after Qabha plowed his car into the troops.
The Beilinson front man said that doctors were still working to save the life of the soldier at death's door as his status worsened.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. A second died a short time later, after attempts to save his life failed. Qabha was stopped by IDF troops less than a hundred feet from the scene. The 26-year-old was then interrogated and transferred to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera for treatment of his minor injuries. He remains in Israeli custody.

[ALMASDARNEWS] On Friday afternoon, rebel fighters attempted to raid Syrian forces positions near the government stronghold town of al-Qurrayah in the western countryside of As-Suwayda province.
Not long after undertaking the attack, Lions of Islam walked into a prepared kill-zone set up by seasoned pro-government fighters belonging to a mostly Druze unit of the National Defence Forces.
When the ambush was sprung by Syrian troops, the rebels found themselves snagged in crescendo of artillery and machine gun fire that suppressed their ability to move almost immediately.
After very brief time under the fire of government forces, the murderous Moslems called off the raid and retreated back to rebel lines.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Elite forces of the Syrian Army have kicked-off a new assault operation against armed rebel groups in Damascus’ East Ghouta region.
According to military-affiliated sources, the Syrian Army is conducting a concentric attack in the southernmost pocket of the East Ghouta area, targeting the murderous Moslem stronghold districts of Kafr Batna and Saqba.
Both districts are located in what sources describe as the rebel-controlled ’urban heartland’ of East Ghouta ‐ the attack by government forces is coming from both the northern (into Saqba) and eastern (into Kafr Batna) directions.
At the present time, it is unclear which Syrian Army formations are involved in the assault operation, however given general knowledge on the disposition of government units in east Damascus, it may very well be the case that both the Tiger Forces Division and the Elite Republican Guard are involved.
[ALMASDARNEWS] On Friday, Ottoman Turkish forces perpetrated nothing short of a massacre in the city of Afrin when army artillery and air force jets indiscriminately shelled and bombed residential areas to an intensity not yet seen during Ankara’s Olive Branch operation.
According to sources, Ottoman Turkish shelling and Arclight airstrikes killed at least 45 five civilians ‐ among the dead were sixteen children and fourteen women. One Ottoman Turkish bomb reportedly struck Afrin’s main hospital leaving some nine people dead.
According the reports, Ottoman Turkish forces are deliberately attacking random civilian targets across Afrin in a bid to scare people into leaving the city.
Amid all this, thousands of civilians refuse to leave their homes in Afrin saying that they would rather die than leave anything to ’Ottoman Turkish invaders.’

[AnNahar] More than 150,000 civilians have fled the city of Afrin in northern Syria since Wednesday evening to escape a Ottoman Turkish-led military offensive against a Kurdish militia, a war monitor said.
"There was fierce fighting throughout the night on the northern outskirts of the city as the Ottoman Turkish forces and their Syrian allies tried to break into the city," the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday.
The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... and its Syrian Arab rebel allies have waged a nearly two-month offensive on the Afrin enclave, which is held by the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG).
Earlier this week, they largely surrounded the enclave's sole city, which was home to some 350,000 people, including people displaced from other parts of the enclave already overrun.
A single escape route remains open to the south to territory still held by the YPG or controlled by the Damascus government.
"Civilians are fleeing through the southern corridor," Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.
Afrin has come under heavy air and artillery bombardment by the Ottoman Turkish army.
On Friday evening, a Ottoman Turkish bombing raid struck the city's main hospital, killing 16 civilians, a monitor said.
Turkey's military denied hitting the hospital, saying that its operation in Afrin "is carried out in such a way as to not cause any harm to civilians."

[ALMASDARNEWS] Authorities from different Islamist Death Eater groups have reportedly reached a ceasefire in northwest Syria after a weeks-long inter-rebel civil war that has left hundreds of fighters from all sides killed.
Opposition and rebel sources claim that al-Qaeda affiliate militia Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (better know by its former name, Jabhat al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... ) and rival groups Jabhat Tahrir Souriya and Suqour al-Sham have agreed to a two-day ceasefire effective immediately.
The temporary halt order is being made in preparation for talks to organize a greater ceasefire arrangement that will decisively end the Islamist infighting all together throughout rebel-controlled areas of Idlib and Aleppo provinces.
Reports state that the main terms for the greater ceasefire is for all warring holy warriors factions to release their current prisoners and stop any further actions towards arresting new rival fighters.

[ALMASDARNEWS] On Wednesday, different krazed killer groups operating out of northern Hama province teamed up to conduct an offensive operation against the Syrian Army aimed at relieving pressure on allied rebel faction in Damascus’ East Ghouta region.
At first, gunnies captured the towns of Kernaz and al-Hamamiyat from Syrian government forces, however, soon enough the Syrian Army and allied paramilitaries launched a counter-attack with armor, artillery and Arclight airstrikes.
The sheer power of the government counter-blow was intense enough to send rebel fighters reeling back from their gains within a few hours of making them; heavy equipment used by krazed killer groups was abandoned during the rout.
When the battle ended and the Syrian Army restored control over all lost points, dozens of gunnies had been left dead and maimed, most of them hardline Islamist types who acted as shock troops (Inghamasis) for the assault.

[ALMASDARNEWS] On Saturday morning, another Ottoman Turkish military convoy entered northwest Syria bringing with it the forces and equipment required to set up yet another observation base.
According to sources, the new Ottoman Turkish Army military site will be established just north of Aleppo city atop the mountain of Jabal Anak near the small rebel-controlled town of Anadan.
Ottoman Turkish forces began establishing military observation points in northwest Syria at the beginning of 2018 as part of a deescalation scheme brokered between Moscow and Ankara aimed at reducing violence across the region.
The establishment of such sites by the Ottoman Turkish military comes immediately after the Syrian Army concluded its Idlib-Aleppo operation against ISIS and other bully boy groups.

[ALMASDARNEWS] On Saturday, al-Qaeda-linked jihadist murderous Moslems in northern Idlib province attempted to break through government lines at the long-besieged Shiite-majority towns of Fouaa and Kafraya.
The assault, described as an infiltration operation by local military-affiliated sources who first reported the event, was stopped dead in its tracks by local Syrian pro-government troops defending both towns.
Within a very brief engagement time, local Syrian forces bumped off at least 15 jihadists. The remaining al-Qaeda attackers were sent running from the battlefield under a hail of machine gun and mortar fire.
The murderous Moslems attempting to storm Fouaa and Kafraya belonged to Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham (better known by its former name, Jabhat al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. Followers of the group (and other Salafist jihadist militias in Syria) have marked the towns’ mostly Shiite population for extermination, believing them to be apostates.
