[LI] A major player in the cocaine traffic into the U.S. was the Iranian-sponsored terrorist group Hezbollah. For year it has been known that Hezbollah has infiltrated criminal gangs in South America and set up its own billion-dollar international criminal enterprise to finance its terror activities. None of this was a secret.
U.S. law enforcement came up with an aggressive plan to take down the Hezbollah international network and its key individuals. But it never happened. We now know why.
Politico Magazine has an amazing expose on how the Obama White House derailed the plans to take down the Hezbollah network, and to allow Hezbollah to continue drug-running into the U.S., in order to avoid upsetting the Iran nuclear deal.
The Politico article is so long, so detailed, and so powerful, it’s impossible for me to give a brief summary, so read the whole thing, The secret backstory of how Obama let Hezbollah off the hoo. The subheadline tells the story:

A little more than a year ago there was a story that appeared about an interdicted ship loaded with cocaine. This occurred about the time of the Potus transition. There was a reference to Obama's cocaine ship. At the time this was dismissed as fake news. Now, it appears this might not have been so. There was a poisoning of our streets with cocaine by Hezbollah and Obama.
Treason is siding with or abetting an enemy. Is it time to consider treason charges for those in the last administration?

It accomplishes two things at once. One is it gets him a step closer to his beloved Iran capitulation "agreement", the other is it sows chaos in true Alinsky fashion.

We watched him as he did this foolish stuff live. Every day there was some kind of new idiot policy. I watched people nod their heads with approval at the time knowing the damage he was conductor of and it angered me to may core.
Now it is written about and people are still suspending disbelief on the great 0bama's "legacy"
He was nothing but a know nothing punk "sticking it to the man".

I remember when the big October surprise pulled on George W. was a drunk driving charge to which the media went completely spasmodically nuts.
Then we have Zerobama whose memoirs detailed a life of drug abuse in high school and college...crickets?
Nothing ever surprises me.
I am actually convinced Fast and Furious didn't lose the weapons but deliberately armed the cartels to guarantee the demise of our society through increased drug use.
[NYPost] Controversial Muslim activist and Women’s March organizer Linda Sarsour bullied an underling to cover up sex-abuse allegations in her Brooklyn office, a report said.
Asmi Fathelbab told blog The Daily Caller that a man repeatedly rubbed his crotch on her while she worked for the association under Sarsour in 2009.
But when Fathelbab reported the abuse, Sarsour — a self-proclaimed feminist and co-founder of the Women’s March organization — fat-shamed the woman and threatened to blacklist her from political jobs, the woman told the website.
[Wash Times] After California’s then-Attorney General Kamala D. Harris announced felony pimping charges last year against the two owners of Backpage.com ‐ a classified-ad website that is a hub for sex trafficking and prostitution, one of the men cut a $10,000 check to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s super PAC.
Mrs. Pelosi’s political action committee, House Majority PAC, has resisted giving the money back, and an aide to Mrs. Pelosi said the California Democrat knows nothing about the contribution.
The uproar over sexual harassment that began with the Harvey Weinstein scandal has intensified the scrutiny of political contributions linked to Backpage, which law enforcement officials say is the chief platform for activities far worse than harassment, including sexual slavery and child prostitution.
Mrs. Pelosi isn’t the only Democrat struggling to deal with the piles of cash that Backpage’s owners spread around to candidates and state Democratic parties over the years.
Even Ms. Harris, a California Democrat who is now a U.S. senator, ducked the issue. Her office wouldn’t respond to repeated emails about Backpage money going to House Majority PAC and other Democratic organizations.

It's a classified ad site. It's safe to go look at their front page backpage dot com. It's no different than their dead tree counterparts. There just happens to be a section for 'personals' which would be NSFWP to scroll around.
The uproar over sexual harassment that began with the Harvey Weinstein scandal has intensified the scrutiny of political contributions linked to Backpage,
One is about consenting adults, the second about (supposedly) non-consenting adults.
[Al Jazeera] A lawyer with US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... 's transition team has accused the special counsel that is probing alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election of illegally obtaining "tens of thousands" of emails during its investigation.
Kory Langhofer, counsel for Trump for America, Inc (TFA), submitted a letter to the primary Senate and House oversight committees on Thursday, outlining how "career staff at the General Services Administration (GSA) ... unlawfully produced TFA's private materials, including privileged communications, to the special counsel's office".
The GSA is responsible for managing and supporting federal agencies.
In the letter, published by Politico, Langhofer argued that the special counsel's office "was aware that the GSA did not own or control the records in question" and that the documents and "tens of thousands of emails" have been "extensively used" during the investigation.
The letter and accusations have been swiftly discounted by Democrats and other legal experts as an attempt to discredit the Russia-Trump investigation.
The probe, headed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, began in May to investigate any potential links between the Russian government and the Trump campaign.
So far, four people, including Trump's former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, have been charged as part of the investigation.
'Privileged'
Langhofer maintains that although the TFA undertakes "executive or quasi-executive functions ... they are not federal agencies" and therefore their communications are private and some are "privileged".
The lawyer said the TFA had learned of the disclosure last week.
According to the letter, the FBI requested the copies of the emails, laptops, mobile phones and other materials associated with nine transition members "responsible for national security and policy matters" on August 23.
Langhofer requested that "Congress act immediately to protect future presidential transitions from having their private records misappropriated by government agencies".
Peter Carr, a front man for the special counsel's office, said in a statement to Rooters news agency that "when we have obtained emails in the course of our ongoing criminal investigation, we have secured either the account owner's consent or appropriate criminal process".
The GSA had not responded to Al Jazeera's request for comment at the time of publication.
'No executive privilege'
Democrats and other legal experts have criticised the letter, saying the accusations are another attempt to "smear the Mueller investigation".

So. they got all these emails illegally... and they *still* don't have a shred of evidence?
#2
If a REPUBLICAN had illegally obtain Democrat campaign internal documents, mail, communications etc. - wait it did - it was called Watergate.
When will we see the corrupt Dems held responsible for this perversion of the FBI and Justice Department - and tack it back to where the Buck Stops: Obama and Holder. Prosecute the lackeys and then jail the bastards if they don't flip to put the fromer Criminal In Chief in jail for such illegal acts.

According to another website, transition team documents are by and large protected from subpoena as they are mostly attorney/client correspondence.
There is no way Mueller's team can vacuum up all of those documents and not have some attorney/client correspondence in them which according to ALL case law is off limits to prosecutors.
BTW, do you suppose the pinhead that released all of this stuff to Mueller is cleaning out his desk this morning and being escorted to the door???

I suspect that Mueller doesn't care as long as he can make accusations against Trump. Even if the "evidences" is ruled "fruit of the poisoned tree". Apparently Mueller hopes that the accusations against Trump is enough to smear Trump republicans and ruin their chances in future elections.
Mueller need to be put in jail for a long time for his abuse of the legal process.
Mueller is supposed to be an officer of the court, but I don't see any evidence of that.

Frank, I really think it's his way of screwing the President by not resigning and letting his replacement vote. Poking someone in the eye all the way to the grave, the prick that he is.

Quick research: Flake is retiring, Kelly Ward is running for that as a Trump candidate. Controversial, and quite up front on a lot of things, but pulled in nearly 1/3 against McCain in the 2016 primary. She is the front-runner and basically unopposed until a little while ago, but can be seen as divisive.
But there is another...
The other one? USAF Colonel (Ret) Martha McSally, former A-10 pilot, current Rep AZ-2 (R). Pro-military, pro-life, pro-2nds Amendment, pro school choice, anti-obamacare, the list goes on. Rock solid conservative of the Barry Goldwater stripe. She recently announced for the same seat.
The AZ Gov must appoint a replacement of the same party. If he appoints one of the two, this leaves the other to win the primary for flakes seat basically unopposed, thereby uniting the party.
Having both candidates run in the fall election - one for the open seat (2024), one for the remainder of the McCain seat term (2022). think of that: 1 very traditional conservative candidate in McSally, and 1 Trump populist-conservative in Ward. Two women leading the charge in Arizona.
Win Win. Because the two together will drive up the GOP turnout, one for the traditionalists, one for the Trump and blue collar, they would help each other in terms of voting. Nail down those seats to be far more conservative reliably than the current bozoes in them. Trump should push hard for this. Appoint McSally to give her time to rev up for the general senate election in 2018 as an incumbent, and clear the path for Ward to run as an outsider in the process.
