[Free Beacon] A number of high-ranking Democratic senators combined to contribute tens of thousands of dollars to Sen. Robert Menendez's (D., N.J.) campaign committee this year, a review of Federal Election Commission records shows.
Menendez, who was indicted in April 2015, is currently facing 12 counts of corruption charges that include bribery. Prosecutors have said that the senator had a "corrupt pact" with Salomon Melgen, a wealthy Florida eye doctor, a previous donor to Menendez's campaign.
Menendez himself has contributed to the campaigns of a number of top Democratic senators this year from his leadership PAC, the New Millennium PAC, the Washington Free Beacon previously reported.
[FREEBEACON] Tom Steyer, Democratic mega-donor and environmentalist, has demanded Democratic politicians and candidates pledge to to push for the impeachment of President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... if they take control of Congress next year.
Steyer, a Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, investor and multi-billionaire who donated more than $91 million to Democratic campaigns during the 2016 cycle, issued a letter to Democrats on Wednesday demanding a pledge to push for Trump's impeachment, the New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported.
In his message, Mr. Steyer described Mr. Trump as a "clear and present danger to the republic" and called on Democrats to pledge that they would seek to remove him from office if they take control of Congress next year.
Mr. Steyer ‐ who is considering a run for Senate, perhaps against Senator Dianne Feinstein ...Dem Senator-for-Life from Caliphornica. She has been a politician since about the time she was weaned. Feinstein was the author of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and tried it a second time in 2012. Feinstein has chaired the Select Committee on Intelligence since 2009. At age 80, Feinstein is the oldest currently serving United States Senator.... , a fellow Democrat ‐ cited a range of acts by Mr. Trump to justify impeachment, including the president’s "relationship with Vladimir Putin ...Second and fourth President and sixth of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead... and Russia," allegations that Mr. Trump has used the presidency to "promote his own business interests" and his "seeming determination to go to war."

Mr. Steyer should have bought CAT a year ago at $87. It closed yesterday at $128. And to think, he manages hedge funds.

If this guy runs for Senate against DiFi it will most likely get down to a runoff between the two in the general election because, of course, no Republican stands a chance in Calipr0nia. I would then find myself in the most uncomfortable position of being forced to vote for DiFi because, incredible as it may sound, Steyer is even worse.
I know I said yesterday that Feinstein is a Senator for life but...Calipr0nia has instituted an unusual system in which the two top vote getters in the primary run against each other in the general regardless of party affiliation. That's how in 2016 Democrat Kamala Harris faced off against Democrat Lorena Sanchez.
So Steyer with his big bucks could give Feinstein a run for her money.

[THEHILL] Former state Sen. Kelli Ward (R) raised $690,000 in the third quarter of 2017, nearly doubling the amount she had raised in the first six months of the year for a primary challenge against incumbent Sen. Jeff Flake ...Republican junior senator from Arizona, elected in 2012. Prior to that he was a U.S. Representative for twelve years... (R) in Arizona.
Ward has raised $1.047 million so far in 2017. Her cash reserves bounced from $83,000 at the end of the second quarter to over $250,000 presently.
"Dr. Ward’s campaign to retire Senator Jeff Flake is gaining incredible momentum," said Brent Lowder, chief strategist for the campaign.
"Her broad fundraising base will continue to expand in the months ahead, while Senator Flake’s donor base is limited and will eventually max out. Large campaigns in recent election cycles have shown that the candidate who can build a broad fundraising base holds the strongest position over time," he continued. "We are exactly where we want to be at this early stage of the campaign. Senator Flake and his supporters should be very worried about this trend."
The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported earlier this week that Flake raised $1.1 million in the third quarter and has $3.4 million in cash-on-hand.
Sen. Marco Rubio The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida... (R-Fla.) was in Arizona this week hosting a fundraiser for Flake, who has also benefitted from ads from the Senate Leadership Fund, an outside group run by allies of Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
Ward, meanwhile, will get fundraising help from conservative radio host Laura Ingraham next week at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort.
