6 killed as suicide bomber blows up near Shia mosque in Kabul
[DAWN] A jacket wallah posing as a shepherd went kaboom! near a Shia mosque in Kabul on Friday killing at least six people, police said, as Moslems prepare to observe the holy month of Muharram

The attack in the north of the Afghan capital happened as worshipers were gathered inside Hussainia mosque, one of the biggest Shia centers in the city, for Friday prayers.

"A suicide bomber who was grazing sheep has let 'er rip outside" the mosque, General Salim Almas, criminal investigative director of Kabul city, told AFP.

Six people were killed and 16 maimed, Kabul deputy police chief Sadeq Muradi told AFP, but the health ministry put the corpse count at two and 10 maimed.

Kabul's Emergency hospital tweeted that it had received 19 maimed including four children.

US hits ISIS in Libya a second time in less than a week
[MSN] The US military conducted Arclight airstrikes against ISIS fighters in Libya Tuesday, for a second time in less than a week and only the second time the US has struck targets in the North African country since Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
became President.

"US forces conducted two precision Arclight airstrikes in Libya against ISIS holy warriors," US Africa Command, which oversees US troops in the region, said in a statement issued Thursday.

Africa Command added that the strikes killed "several ISIS holy warriors" and were carried out "in coordination with the Libyan Government of National Accord," the internationally recognized government based in Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
The strike occurred approximately 100 miles southeast of Sirte, the one-time ISIS stronghold in Libya, according to Africa Command.

Tuesday's strikes were carried out by unmanned aircraft and killed fewer than 10 ISIS fighters, two US defense officials told CNN.

The operation follows a series of six precision Arclight airstrikes that were carried out against an ISIS desert camp on Friday. Those strikes killed 17 ISIS Death Eaters and destroyed three vehicles at the camp, located about 150 miles southeast of Sirte, Africa Command told CNN Sunday in a statement.

Fresh Saudi airstrikes leave over dozen civilians dead in Yemen
[Iran Press TV] More than a dozen civilians have been killed and several others injured when Saudi military aircraft carried out separate Arclight airstrikes against residential areas across Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic...
as the Riyadh regime does not shy away from its atrocious bombardment campaign against its southern neighbor.

An unnamed security official told Arabic-language Khabar news agency that Boeing AH-64 Apache attack helicopters targeted al-Hamli area in the Mawza district of Yemen's southwestern province of Ta'izz on Friday, leaving 13 people dead and six others injured.

The official added that paramedics transported the maimed to hospitals in the port city of Hudaydah, located 150 kilometers southwest of the capital Sana'a, to receive medical treatment.

Separately, five people bit the dust and 11 others sustained injuries when Saudi warplanes launched aerial attacks against Sahar district in Yemen's mountainous northwestern province of Sa'ada.

Later in the day, Saudi fighter jets struck an outdoor market in the Bakil al-Mir district of the northwestern province of Hajjah, killing and injuring a number of civilians.

Soldier among 3 killed in Indian shelling across LoC: ISPR
[DAWN] Three people, including a soldier, were killed and four others injured by heavy shelling across the Line of Control (LoC) by Indian troops in Rawalakot on Friday, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

Earlier today, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chaudhry Kashif Hussain in Azad Jammu and Kashmire (AJK) said that two civilians, including a woman, had been killed by an IED blast 150 yards from the LoC around 6pm in the village of Keirni Galli in Haveli district.

Zahid Hussain, 16, and Robina, 26, was struck down in his prime, he said, while Akseer, son of Hakim Deen, received critical wounds from the blast,

"This is the last village before the LoC and exact information has yet to reach us," he had said. "Whatever military and other sources have so far told us clearly suggests that the blast was caused by an improvised bomb (IED)."

Pakistan to Give U.S. List of Terrorists Next Month
[OANN] Pakistain is going to provide a list of terrorist leaders to the U.S. delegation when they visit the capital Islamabad next month.

The Pak government is repeating its demand for action against all groups directly or indirectly involved in terrorist acts.

This comes after President Trump called out Pakistain last month for providing sanctuary and support for terrorist networks that have been killing Americans and Afghans.

The Mighty Pak Army will also inform the U.S. about its operations against terrorists, and they ask that the U.S. share available information as well.

The country says it will continue to defend its national security until the last name on the terror list has been eradicated.

Iraq imposes flight ban on Kurdish region after poll
[Al Jazeera] A ban on international flights into Iraq's Kurdish region has gone into effect after the central government in Baghdad retaliated against a vote for secession that has also drawn opposition from neighbouring countries.

Iraq's Kurds overwhelmingly backed a split from Baghdad in a referendum on Monday, defying foreign powers which fear the vote could lead to regional instability.

The ban came into force at 6pm (15:00 GMT) on Friday. Foreign airlines suspended flights to the region's Erbil and Sulaimaniya, obeying a notice from the government in Baghdad, which controls Iraqi air space.

Domestic flights are still allowed, so travellers are expected to travel to Kurdistan mostly via Baghdad's airport, which will come under strain from the extra traffic.

Erbil airport was busier than usual on Friday as passengers scrambled to catch the last flights out.

Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel-Hamid, reporting from Erbil International Airport, said: "We saw many people throughout the day leaving ahead of schedule simply because they were afraid to be blocked here and not be able to return to their homes, or because they did not want to go through Baghdad to catch an international flight".

US ‘does not recognize’ Iraqi Kurdistan referendum: Tillerson
[Iran Press TV] The United States does not officially recognize a unilateral independence referendum held by the Iraqi Kurdish region, says Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

The controversial secession referendum was held on Monday in Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan region in defiance of widespread calls for its cancellation.

According to Kurdish officials, over 90 percent of the voters said ’Yes’ to separation from Iraq.

"The United States does not recognize the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)’s unilateral referendum held on Monday. The vote and the results lack legitimacy and we continue to support a united, federal, democratic and prosperous Iraq," Tillerson said in a statement on Friday.

Death Eaters have been killed in Arclight airstrikes by Iraqi jets, northeast of Diyala, a commander was quoted saying on Friday.

"Iraqi fighter jets targeted an IS vehicle near Hamreen lake, northeast of Baquba, killing four Death Eaters on board and destroying the vehicle completely," Maj. Gen. Mazhar al-Azzawi, commander of Dijla Operations, told AlSumaria News.

"Efforts by the command are ongoing to eradicate IS sleeper cells in the town," Azzawi added.

Iraqi jets destroyed several IS vehicles and rest houses in Hamreen over the past few weeks.

In related news, Azzawi said all roads in the province, indicating stable security situations.

"All roads in Diyala, including Kirkuk-Baghdad road, are open. No roads are blocked," he said.

Attacks launched by Islamic State Death Eaters against security troops, the pro-government forces and civilians surged over the past few weeks in northeast of Diyala, which urge the Iraqi forces to prevent the Death Eaters infiltration between Salahuddin and Kirkuk provinces, especially the regions stretching along Hamreen mountains and al-Azeem town.

has set oil wells in southwest of Kirkuk on fire to hinder advance of security troops, hours after the launch of offensives to liberate the group’s holdout in the province.

A statement by the media service of al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces) said "the krazed killer group set two oil wells in Allas oilfield, south of Hawija to hinder advance of troops."

Another statement by PMFs, earlier today, said the group urged its hard boyz to evacuate villages in north of Hawija toward Abbassi, after injury of its military official in Abbassi, located northwest of Hawija.

Early on Friday, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi and the Joint Operations Command announced beginning of the second phase of Hawija offensive.

On Sunday, the Joint Operations Command announced completing the first phase of operations to recapture Hawija, which launched on September 21. According to Defense Ministry’s War Media Cell, 557 IS hard boyz were killed, while more than 100 villages and regions were liberated during the first phase.

Brig. Gen. Yahia Rasoul, front man of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, said previously that the number of Islamic State members in Hawija falls between 800 and 1500.

suicide kaboomers in west of Ramadi, according to security sources.

Speaking to AlSumaria News, Maj.Gen. Mahmoud al-Falahi, Anbar Operations Commander, said, "troops of the army’s eighth division and the Tribal Mobilization Forces, carried out a joint task on Friday in Wadi Abu Jeir region, southwest of al-Wafaa town, west of Ramadi."

"Troops managed to kill six IS suicide attackers," he added.

Meanwhile,

"Troops were also able to kill another attacker wearing a suicide belt while combing abu Jeir region, west of Ramadi," the source, who asked to remain anonymous, added.

Ramadi was recaptured by government and tribal forces from IS in December 2015, however, several occasional attacks by the group have occurred since then.

The murderous Moslem group invaded, on Wednesday, al-Tash and the 5th Kilometer regions, south and west of Ramadi. The murderous Moslems reportedly took over al-Tash and al-Jamea (university) areas after invading them with 20 pickup trucks, however, troops were able to repulse the attack. 40 IS murderous Moslems were killed, while three injured others were maimed, Brig. Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian army captures key supply route in Deir Az Zor
[Al Jazeera] The Syrian army and its allies have repelled a strong attack by ISIS fighters to capture a road linking Palmyra to Deir Az Zor city, a major supply route from government territory to the eastern city, according to a military media unit run by Leb's Hezbollah.
Syria's war: UN told of air strikes against civilians and hospitals

The ISIS assault, which began on Thursday, marked the first major counter-attack against the allied forces since they broke through a swathe of territory to reach Deir Az Zor city earlier this month.

"The Syrian army and its allies completely secured the Deir az Zor-Palmyra highway after foiling the intense attack," the Hezbollah media unit said on Friday.

"The highway has become passable for traffic in both directions to and from Deir Az Zor," it added.

Hezbollah is one of the main allies of Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

, alongside Russia, Iran and other pro-government militias.

Earlier on Friday, a commander in the military alliance backing Assad said the road linking Deir Az Zor to Palmyra was only being used in cases of absolute necessity and that the army and its allies were fighting to recover lost ground.

Helped by the Russian military and Iran-backed militias, the Syrian army's advance this month to Deir Az Zor lifted a three-year-long siege imposed by ISIS on a government-held enclave in the city.
Deadly ISIS attacks

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitor tracking developments in Syria's conflict, said the ISIS attacks had killed more than 58 fighters from the Syrian army and allied forces since Thursday.

ISIS said on Thursday it had killed around 100 government fighters south of the town of al-Sukhna, which is also located on the road to Deir Az Zor, and announced it had taken a hill overlooking the town.

A US-backed alliance of Syrian militias, the Syrian Democratic Forces, is waging a separate offensive against ISIS in Deir Az Zor to the east of the Euphrates River, which bisects the province.

Terror Networks
The Benghazi Attack Is Finally Being Properly Prosecuted
[New Yorker] On the night of June 15, 2014, eight Americans‐six Delta Force operators, an F.B.I. agent, and an Arabic translator‐travelled in rubber boats across the Mediterranean and arrived on a beach in Benghazi, Libya. They hustled across the sand and snuck into a nearby safe house. Their plan was to lure and capture Ahmed Abu Khatallah, the alleged ringleader of the most politicized terrorist attack since 9/11.

Twenty-one months earlier, on September 11, 2012, Khatallah had, according to federal prosecutors, coördinated the assault on the American Consulate in Benghazi. Two State Department officials, including the U.S. Ambassador, Christopher Stevens, died in that attack, and two C.I.A. contractors were killed in a subsequent firefight at a nearby C.I.A. facility.

A day after the eight-man team beached on the coast, one of Khatallah’s associates unwittingly led Khatallah to the safe house. As soon as Khatallah stepped into the dark villa, several soldiers pounced on him. He tried to kick, punch, and bite his way free, without success. The F.B.I. agent present‐who has been identified in court by only a surname, "Johnson"‐brought Khatallah into a bathroom, where he covered the suspect’s eyes, plugged his ears, and stuffed a bit into his mouth. The team then hustled Khatallah across the beach, boarded its boats, and raced toward the U.S.S. New York, a twenty-five-thousand-ton* amphibious transport dock made, in part, with steel recovered from the World Trade Center towers, and waiting offshore.

The Benghazi attack has been thoroughly scrutinized. The Republican-led House of Representatives spent millions of dollars and held hearing after hearing on the matter during President Barack Obama’s second term. But the lawmakers leading the hearings seemed more focussed on Hillary Clinton and her colleagues‐trying to find any missteps they made before, during, or after the attack that could be used for political purposes‐than on the alleged perpetrators of the violence itself.

Meanwhile, the hunt for Khatallah was being pursued by operators and analysts from the C.I.A., Joint Special Operations Command, and the F.B.I. One of the biggest questions for them was what to do with Khatallah once they found him.

Counterterrorism officials considered a drone strike or a lethal raid, a former military official told me, but President Obama and the Justice Department wanted to capture him alive and bring him to the United States to stand trial.
