[Daily Caller] A former House of Representatives IT aide was arraigned in federal court Friday on four felony fraud charges, appearing with three attorneys including Chris Gowen, a former close aide to Hillary and Bill Clinton.
Gowen asked that Imran Awan’s GPS monitoring bracelet be removed, citing that Imran might need to attend to an emergency with his children. In a press conference outside court, Gowen admitted that the children are in Pakistan and refused to explain the discrepancy.
"His ability to parent, which may well be single parenting, if there is an emergency..." Gowen said.
He also asked for other restrictions on his movement to be lifted, saying he has been driving for Uber, but the company had no record of any driver matching several variations of Imran’s name.
Golly, how is an off-the-books Uber driver able to afford three lawyers, at least one of whom appears to be seriously not inexpensive?
Prosecutor Michael Marando opposed the motions, saying Imran is a severe flight risk. "From Day 1 there was a pattern of flight. It began September 2016... a pattern of transfers to Pakistan, hundreds of thousands of dollars," he said. The judge has not ruled on the motion.

He doesn't need to drive for Uber if he's supported by taxpayers in jail. Bail revoked.

Yeah, Besoeker, I think you are right; they take off the GPS and the guy is in the wind to Pakiland. Imran Awan says and does many things--most are shady. The Daily Caller has a good summary of his known activities. Here. It doesn't read as if he is a contender for father of the year this year.

The judge hasn't ruled on the motion? What's the problem? Sounds like a no brainer to me. Not just no, hell not.

Members of Congress, especially Democratic ones, need rides. Traffic on the Beltway and to Virginia is horrible. Then there's the execrable Metro system and the lousy taxis.
What's a Democratic servant-of-the-citizens to do?
[Daily Wire] A U.S. District Court Judge in the Southern District of California sentenced a "political guru" on Thursday for his role in helping a Mexican billionaire launder hundreds of thousands of dollars into the campaign of San Diego Democratic mayoral candidate Bob Filner, who eventually won.
Judge Michael M. Anello ordered 45-year-old "political guru" Ravneet Singh, the former CEO of ElectionMall Technologies, to report to prison on October 12, 2017, to begin serving his sentence, which includes 15 months in prison and a $10,000 fine, the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) reported.
According to evidence presented at trial, Singh conspired with Mexican billionaire Jose Susumo Azano Matsura, 52, to inject more than $600,000 in cash and consulting services into the 2012 San Diego mayoral election -- which is a crime due to Azano’s status as a foreign national.
Azano sought to buy political influence in exchange for his contributions, as he wanted support to develop San Diego into "Miami West" -- a development project that included a marina and real estate opportunities where he would make millions.
To make his vision a reality, Azano used his son, 25-year-old Edward Susumo Azano Hester, and others to distance himself from the political contributions by having them funnel the money "through corporate and third person ’straw donor’ contributions."

[Daily Caller] The Department of Homeland Security has formally classified activities of so-called anti-fascist or "antifa" groups as "domestic terrorist violence," according to sources and documents obtained by Politico.
The news comes on the heels of antifa violence that erupted against peaceful supporters of Donald Trump and others antifa accused of, often falsely, being white supremacists or Nazis, The L.A. Times reported.
According to Politico, unreported documents from a 2016 joint intelligence assessment by DHS and the FBI described that by April 2016, officials claimed that "anarchist extremists" were the root cause of the violence at public demonstrations against many different targets and were assessed for attacking law enforcement and government entities in the name of fighting racism, fascism, social injustice and "the capitalist system."
"It was in that period [as the Trump campaign emerged] that we really became aware of them," said one senior law enforcement official tracking domestic extremists in a state that has become a front line in clashes between the groups. "These antifa guys were showing up with weapons, shields and bike helmets and just beating the shit out of people... They’re using Molotov cocktails, they’re starting fires, they’re throwing bombs and smashing windows."
Antifascist groups were already classified with "domestic terrorism" organizations by New Jersey’s Office of Homeland Security.

So what are they going to do about it? Start arresting supporters like the Mayor of Berkeley and other mayors who order their PD to 'stand down' and allow the terrorism?
#3
...a special prosecutor to do an rectal exam on them and their associates as they're doing on Trump, based upon the charge of conspiring to deny the civil rights of others.

Remember how Baraq's DOJ sent people to Ferguson after the riots there because the Ferguson police were supposedly racists? How about Trump's DOJ going to Charlottesville and Berekley to breathe down their necks?

Apparently DHS also has good communications channels with Congress and elsewhere. Hence Pelosi's and Ryan's backpedaling.

Pelosi with the thumbs down, Daily Show jokes, official DHS recognition....guessing legit plans for the Nov 5th douchebaggery they threatened a couple weeks back.

It looks to me like they are washing their hands of them before they truly get violent on Nov 4th. They claim they will be kicking off a revolution, so hopefully when they show their true colors, Trump stomps them down hard.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a liberal, Alabama-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization that has gained prominence on the left for its "hate group" designations, pushes millions of dollars to offshore entities as part of its business dealings, records show.
Additionally, the nonprofit pays lucrative six-figure salaries to its top directors and key employees while spending little on legal services despite its stated intent of "fighting hate and bigotry" using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy.

[WeeklyStandard] Antifa mayhem and malice in Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park.
In which our fearless reporter (no, really) gets to know Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson and his friend Tusitala “Tiny” Toese, a Samoan-American who used to find Trump voters to beat up until he met and spoke with the Japanese-American Joey, and spends some time with them as they interact around San Francisco.

You are correct Matt Labash, Joey Gibson does not sound like an alt-right; more like a confused hippie. AntiFa, on the other hand seems like a 1960s Weathermen reboot with black garb.
#3
I have met both Joey Gibson and Tiny Toese. They are genuine, decent folk. Tiny's story of transformation from potential AntiFa thug to Patriot is compelling. They are novices at being activists, but they have a solid message that exposes the lie that is AntiFa as well as those that support them

I was watching a YouTube segment the other day. A reporter was interviewing protesters in Austin. The crowd, of about a 100 was the rudest, most unininformed obnoxious crowd. What struck me is that although they were all carrying signs such "Impeach Trump," few had a clue as to why he should be impeached. One protester did offer "He lied." When asked what Trump lied about, he could not come up with anything. Some girl kept squawking a duck call in the face of the reporter but other than that she was mute to questions asked of her. Another huge guy who seemed to only know swear words told the interviewer to "get the fuck out of my city you prick--it seemed as if he were about to go violent at any time on the interviewer.
Because the people seemed to know nothing about why they were protesting, it seemed to be a "hired crowd." They all parroted the same simple messages. They are just one part of the constant drumbeat against Trump that goes on in the many large cities in the U.S. I'd look to Soros and others for their links to these protesters. Much of the chaos and unrest in the U.S. would disappear if a crimp were put in the style of these puppeteers. I'm not advocating any violence but it would be nice if these folks, for a change, had to spend much of their time fending off early morning raids and IRS investigations, RICO investigations, giving depositions and spending time and money defending themselves in the courts.
