And of course the organizers put some blame on the cops, even though the only person they killed was a dumbass with a knife to a toddler's throat and he wouldn't let go so they did.
Your criminals and feral youth are killing each other guys. Until you fess up to that and the "black" culture is shit and needs changed, you will continue to die by each other's hands in large numbers.
Al-Grauniad manages to get Trump into the first sentence of an article he's not remotely tied to. Amazing
The co-founder of the Women's Equality party, Catherine Mayer, is suing her former employer, Time magazine, for gender and age discrimination, making the weekly favoured by President Donald Trump the latest major media company to be embroiled in accusations of institutional sexism.

Trump favors Time? Then again, what's the competition anymore?
Technical Sgt. Courtney Farley graduated from undergraduate remotely piloted aircraft training at Randolph Air Force Base on Friday afternoon.
She is one of a dozen airmen selected for the enlisted pilot initial class, and the only woman. She said she is very proud, humbled and excited to continue forward.
"Being a pilot isn't about what gender we are, what rank we are, so I'm excited to join the pilot aviation community and be the best pilot I can be regardless of any titles that someone wants to give me," Farley said.
Farley will continue training at Beale Air Force Base in California.

...First of all, good on her. This is a way-too-long overdue step that should have been taken decades ago with the real things. The 'pilot shortages' of the last three decades simply would not have happened had My Beloved Service had the good sense to put enlisted (and/or reconstituted Warrant Officers) in tanker, transport, and helo cockpits.
However - and you knew there had to be a 'however' - this isn't going to last much past GEN Dave Goldfein's term as Chief of Staff. Goldfein is a superb leader and officer who has seen the pointy end of things up close, but his successors won't be. They'll pat the enlisted drone drivers on the head, thank them for their service, and then send them back to whatever they used to do while erasing any corporate memory of the effort with unseemly enthusiasm.

In my not so humble opinion, one of the reasons that the services are having a "pilot shortage" is that they are too damn picky on who can be a pilot, especially drone pilots.
While it is absolutely true that the physical and mental requirements for pilots are very rigorous - and rightly so - the requirements for drone pilots are much looser. A pilot - especially a fighter pilot - must have excellent vision, as well as good upper body strength, to withstand the G-forces.
However, for a drone pilot, there is no reason for upper body strength or 20/20 vision. You don't have the same need for coolness under fire in stressful situations, because you won't be truly in a life and death situation.
Heck - I could probably be a drone pilot, even at my advanced age and 20/200 vision (corrected to 20/20, of course).

Called Naval Aviation Pilots the program ended in 1947.
War ended Juana as Uncle Jim was getting ready to check out on a Corsair.

The basic problem is the organisational requirement that Pilots must be Officers. Officers must be leaders of Men, able administrators, peerless paper-shufflers, and above all someone that could eventually be promoted to Four Star General -- which has practically zero commonality to what is needed to be an able operator of an expensive high-performance aircraft.
How many Pilots quit the rat race because They. Just. Want. To. Fly?
[BuzzFeed] For six straight days in the middle of March, a small twin-propeller plane flew over Phoenix. Each evening, it picked two or three spots and circled for hours, flying at more than 17,000 feet. The plane was loaded with sophisticated surveillance equipment, including technology developed by the National Security Agency to track cell phones.
In June of last year, that same plane spent three weeks circling daily over Wilmington, North Carolina, carrying a state-of-the-art "persistent surveillance" camera that can monitor a large area continuously for hours at a time.
The Phoenix and Wilmington flights are among dozens tracked by BuzzFeed News that were flown by companies run by an obscure, Oklahoma-based private equity fund called Acorn Growth Companies. Acorn’s planes serve as the US military’s "A-Team" for aerial surveillance in Africa, including tracking suspected terrorists’ phones from the air. In the US, the planes sometimes take part in military exercises -- as they were in Phoenix -- helping troops practice raids on targets using the same phone-tracking technology.
I read the bio's of each of the 12 senior "team" members. Strangley (or not so), not one had a military or aviation background. At the Careers section "All Acorn's positions are ......currently filled, check back with us soon."

Security projected investments. Future gold mine for investors. They see the needs of the powers that want control. The problem is they will never be satisfied. The human approach is being lost. The technological growth and development are where the money is. The human biological element is the unwanted variance.

There is a recent report (2017) that Acorn Growth Industries has acquired TSS. TSS used Teneo Capital for financial advice. One of the founding partners of Teneo Capital is Doug Band. According to wiki: Douglas Jay Band (born 28 October 1972) is an American businessman and lawyer. He is a founding partner and president of Teneo, a global consulting firm. Previously he was personal assistant and counselor to President Bill Clinton and he assisted in creating the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). Band later worked for the William J. Clinton Foundation.

"Persistent surveillance"
Pay phones then pagers then cellphones, PDAs, FB et. al., stenography, mmorg and telephone monitoring. Regions of the world without access to technology use couriers. Same with inner city crime. Seems like they're likely to be fusing all source intelligence link analysis. That's an expensive proposition for domestic street crime. Something of a real world webpage click counter.
CARACAS, Aug 6 (Reuters) - Venezuelan authorities have suppressed a military rebellion near the central city of Valencia, a ruling official said on Sunday, days after President Nicolas Maduro formed a legislative superbody internationally condemned as a power grab.
Socialist Party deputy Diosdado Cabello made the announcement shortly after the release of a video showing a group of men in military uniform announcing a rebellion and calling for a broad uprising against President Nicolas Maduro.
One witness in the area of a military base in the town of Naguanagua reported hearing gunshots before dawn, but Cabello said the situation had been brought under control.
The Defense Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
On Friday, government allies inaugurated a new legislative superbody that the Venezuelan opposition and leaders around the world denounced as a power grab by Maduro.
In Sunday's video, a man who identified himself as Juan Carlos Caguaripano, a former National Guard captain, said: "We demand the immediate formation of a transition government." He was flanked by about a dozen men in military uniforms.
"This is not a coup d'etat," he said. "This is a civic and military action to re-establish constitutional order. But more than that, it is to save the country from total destruction."

...Myself, I'm half tempted to believe this is a put-on staged by Maduro in order to justify further crackdowns.

You have to wonder what level of Cuban involvement is now involved in not only the intelligence support to Maduro but internal to the military to stiffen their spines against mutiny?
[Iran Press TV] Venezuela’s newly-installed constitutional assembly has sacked the country’s chief prosecutor as a political crisis over President Nicolas Maduro’s alleged push to dismantle democratic institutions keeps dividing the South American nation.
In its second meeting since inception, the assembly fired Luisa Ortega Diaz on Saturday and said further dismissals would be underway.
The assembly said Tarek William Saab, a staunch government supporter and a Maduro loyalist, would replace Ortega Diaz as Venezuela’s attorney general. Saab currently serves as Venezuela’s top ombudsman.
As members of the contested assembly unanimously voted to ax the attorney general, pro-government demonstrators rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud against her.
Earlier reports on Saturday said Ortega Diaz’s office had come under siege by military troops. The dissident prosecutor said on Twitter that troops had surrounded her office in downtown Caracas.
Ortega Diaz published photos apparently taken from security cameras showing dozens of guards deployed in riot gear outside the headquarters. Reports said police had also imposed a lockdown in areas surrounding the office and access was completely restricted.
A longtime loyalist of the government, the prosecutor has turned an arch critic and has repeatedly censured a recent popular vote for the setting up of an all-powerful pro-government national assembly, which has vowed to debate removing opponents, including Ortega Diaz, only in its second session on Saturday.

[Iran Press TV] The Kremlin has censured a recent decision by the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... to broaden the scope of its anti-Moscow sanctions list over Russia’s delivery of Siemens gas turbines to Crimea, saying the provocative move was "against the international law."
The Russian Energy Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that "interference in a dispute between two business entities is a direct violation of international legal norms," adding that imposing a ban against Russian Deputy Energy Minister Andrei Cherezov over the issue of turbines was politically motivated and illegal.
Bilateral relations between Russia and the European Union deteriorated after Crimea, a Black Sea peninsula, separated from Ukraine and rejoined the Russian Federation in 2014, following a popular referendum. Kiev and its Western allies, however, call the development as Russia’s annexation of the peninsular region.
Brussels and Washington have since imposed an array of sanctions against Moscow over its alleged role in the conflict in eastern Ukraine, which has been the scene of deadly fighting between Kiev’s army and pro-Russia forces. Moscow denies the allegation.

[Iran Press TV] The United Nations ...where theory meets practice and practice loses... Security Council has unanimously voted in favor of a US-drafted resolution significantly bolstering its anti-North Korea sanctions.
The fresh sanctions, which were adopted on Saturday, include an export ban on the North that could curb its annual revenue by some $1 billion.
The sanction blocks all exports of coal, iron and iron ore, lead and lead ore, as well as fish and seafood from the country over its recent missile tests.
It also blocks North Korean from increasing the number of workers it sends abroad, and prevents new joint ventures with Pyongyang or increasing investments in current ventures.
North Korea is under mounting international pressure over its missile and nuclear development programs, but it says it needs to continue and develop its missile force as a deterrent to defend the nation in the face of the US and its regional allies' hegemony. On the 4th of July, the US Independence Day, Pyongyang test-fired an ICBM capable of delivering a "large, heavy nuclear warhead" to the US continent.

[Breitbart] The Canadian city of Montreal has turned the city’s Olympic Stadium into a makeshift asylum centre as the number of migrants colonists crossing the border from the U.S. continues to rise.
Authorities in Montreal announced this week that the Olympic Stadium would be used to house the growing number of asylum seekers as officials estimate that 1,000 people crossed from the United States into the Canadian province of Quebec in July alone, the CBC reports.
Francine Dupuis, the front man for PRAIDA, a Quebec government-funded organization that helps asylum seekers, said the level of migration was unprecedented for them. "We’ve never seen this before," Dupuis said adding: "It’s really quite a bit more intense than what we’re used to."
Between 100 and 450 cots have been set up at the stadium to house the asylum seekers, many of which are from French-speaking Haiti. Cédric Essminimy, front man for the Olympic stadium, said the request for space came from the Quebec authorities on Friday.
Many of the Haitian asylum seekers, who came to the U.S. after the 2010 earthquake, say they fear that the Trump administration may deport them. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that up to 58,000 Haitians could be repatriated as the emergency they were fleeing has ended.
A Haitian woman told CBC: "We didn’t know what was going to happen. So we checked online and we saw that Canada was going to welcome Haitians, and that’s why we come here."
Mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre has written on Twitter that he welcomes the Haitians and claims that he has spoken to Canada’s Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen regarding the issue.
Marjorie Villefranche, director general of the Maison d’Haiti, a Haitian community organization in Montreal, said that many Haitians living in the U.S. have expressed a desire to come to Canada on social media. Villefranche said that many people have published how-to guides online for Haitians wanting to illegally cross the border and claim asylum in Canada.
Since the start of the year, Canada has seen an influx of thousands of asylum seekers illegally crossing the border, mostly in Quebec and Manitoba, including a record number of Mexican nationals.
Though politicians like the mayor of Montreal and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau welcoming asylum seekers in various statements on social media, a large section of the Canadian public is not as keen on the idea. A poll from earlier this year showed that almost half of Canadians want illegal migrants colonists deported back to the U.S.

Why won't Canada simply deport these invaders back to their countries of origin? The headline gives the impression US citizens are illegally entering Canada and seeking asylum.
[NBC] Longtime Fox News host Eric Bolling has been suspended amid allegations that he texted a lewd photo to multiple female colleagues in years past.
A Fox News spokesperson confirmed Saturday that his suspension is "pending the results of an investigation, which is currently underway." Guilty until proven innocent.
Law firm Paul Weiss, which has investigated complaints lodged against other high-profile network employees, is conducting the investigation, the spokesperson said.
The suspension comes a day after HuffPost reported that he sent an unsolicited photo of male genitalia to at least two colleagues at Fox Business and one colleague at Fox News.

[DAWN] LAHORE: The move to purge the medical fraternity of the ’disgruntled’ segment began on Friday when 47 Young Doctors Association (YDA) activists - 11 post-graduate (PG) trainee doctors and 36 house officers ‐ were shown the door.
The extreme measure was taken by the disciplinary committees of the administrations of healthcare institutions concerned on the recommendations of their academic councils, said a spokesperson for the health department.
Six house officers of Lahore General Hospital, five each of Jinnah Hospital, Services Hospital (Lahore), Sheikh Zayed Hospital (Rahim Yar Khan), Allied Hospital, District Headquarters Hospital (Faisalabad ...formerly known as Lyallpur, the third largest metropolis in Pakistain, the second largest in Punjab after Lahore. It is named after some Arab because the Paks didn't have anybody notable of their own to name it after... ) and Aziz Bhatti Hospital (Gujrat), one PG trainee doctor each of Allied Hospital, district headquarters hospital (Faisalabad), Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... Institute of Cardiology (Lahore), two each of Lahore General Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Hospital (Rahim Yar Khan), Services Hospital (Lahore) and Aziz Bhatti Hospital Gujrat, were the list of the sacked medics.
The spokesperson said the administrations of medical colleges have been asked to hold meetings of their academic councils every day and forward to the disciplinary committees names of the trouble-makers. The medical superintendents of teaching hospitals would also submit on a daily basis reports containing names of medics creating hindrance in healthcare delivery.
The YDA leadership was given a last warning by senior medics to resume duty on Friday morning. The YDA activists did reach Services and Jinnah hospitals but instead of resuming work started forcibly discharging patients from the wards.
Later, YDA activists gathered outside the emergency department of Services Hospital and started marching on Jail Road. Carrying placards and chanting slogans against the health department high-ups, the marchers had reached in front of the PIC emergency when they started dispersing as someone broke the news to them that sacking of strikers has begun.

[DAWN] A member of grand tribal jirga from North Wazoo Agency has warned that the rustics will besiege the house of MNA Ayesha Gulalai if she doesn’t produce the proof about the allegations she has levelled against Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... chairman Imran Khan ... aka Taliban Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality problems... Speaking at a news conference here on Friday, Malik Jalal Khan Wazir took strong exception to the reports attaching her with tribal society, saying Ms Gulalai neither belonged to Waziristan nor was she a tribal woman, because whatever she had done during last four days was against the norms of tribal people.
"We cannot expect a tribal woman to adopt such lifestyle. The woman is unaware of the South and North Waziristan Agencies because she is not a resident of the tribal region," Mr Wazir claimed.
He said the tribal families never allowed their daughters to show up before media or irrelevant people. But, he said Shamsul Qayyum, the father of Ms Gulalai, used her for the sake of money only.
Jalal Wazir stressed the need for an inquiry against Mr Qayyum for bringing a bad name to the tribal people for his own personal interests. "The tribal people want to know as to how much money Ms Gulalai has taken for levelling such allegations," he demanded.
Flanked by other tribal elders, Mr Wazir said her statement about sending of inappropriate messages on her mobile by Imran Khan had not only insulted the Pakhtuns but also disgraced a large number of women workers affiliated with PTI.
The tribal elder asked Ms Gulalai to present her blackberry to any relevant forum to clear her position. He said her allegations against Imran had earned her disrespect in the hearts of people.

[DAWN] Former Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf ...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations.... (PTI) member and MNA Ayesha Gulalai said on Saturday that she will "forgive" PTI Chairman Imran Khan ... aka Taliban Khan, who isn't your heaviest-duty thinker, maybe not even among the top five... "if he accepts his mistake" and apologises for sending her unsolicited text messages that she says caused her considerable mental distress.
"If Imran Khan accepts that he has done it [harassed Gulalai] and seeks forgiveness from God, the nation and its women, I will forgive him," Gulalai said in a phone call with DawnNews.
Earlier this week, Gulalai had made the shock announcement that she was quitting the PTI, levelling a series of scathing allegations against Khan and his "gang", including that they used to send inappropriate text messages to female members of the party.
Gulalai's allegations caused a furore among party members and deepened an existing rift with the ruling PML-N, with PTI accusing their arch rivals of criminal masterminding a ploy to malign their party chief.
The ruling PML-N, as well as the PPP, backed Gulalai’s allegations against Khan and called for an investigation into the matter.
The National Assembly on Friday subsequently passed a motion calling for the formation of a special committee to investigate the allegations against Imran Khan and ordering it to submit a report on the matter within a month.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also assured the provision of round-the-clock security for the MNA after she claimed on television that she was "scared for her life".

The swastika as a symbol of love? I don't think the distaff side (or would I) of the family would buy that cow pucky since many of her family got caught up in Hitler's holocaust in Europe and were murdered during WWII.

Much of the world does not connect to that European history, JohnQC. But here in America we do, making this attempt to recapture the original Indian meaning more than a bit quixotic.

TW. Today, there is a prohibition about drawing analogies between Hitler and his rise to power and the "Fundamental Transformation of the U.S." that we heard about in 2008. However, I will just say that if one were to try to find descriptive terms for that era using today's argot, one would have to say that Hitler's rise to power could be described by such terms as the "Deep State" and "Shadow Government." The Democratic Party of today or maybe one should talk about the "Beltway Party" has analogs with the National Socialist Party of that earlier era.
An interesting book from an insider's viewpoint of that time is one by Sebastian Haffner titled "Defying Hitler." I don't know whether it is in print today. Hitler's rise to power involved murder, corruption and deceit. It was insidious in that the German Constitution was subverted and rewritten. Judges were placed in the judicial system who were sympathetic and interpreted law according to Hitler and the cabal around him. The legislative branch wrote laws per Hitler and his henchmen as needed. The law was used to break the law. Those who disagreed with Hitler were murdered. Religion was weakened in Germany to facilitate all of this.
[FoxNews] The family of an 8-year-old California transgender student has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the girl's private school.
Parents Priya Shah and Jaspret Brar are suing Heritage Oak Private Education and its parent company, alleging that the school refused to call daughter Nikki Brar by her name.
According to The Mercury News, the suit says the Yorba Linda school made Nikki wear a boy's uniform and use the boy's bathroom, and that teachers were not allowed to protect her from bullying.
The school told The Mercury News that it notified the family that it had decided to use an outside consultant to accommodate transgender students.
According to Heritage Oak's website, it has been in Orange County for more than 50 years and serves students from preschool through middle school.
The family's attorneys said Nikki's parents tried to work with the school to help their daughter, but they eventually pulled Nikki out of the school.
The lawsuit is asking for school policy changes and unspecified damages, according to the OC Register. Something not quite right here, I suspect maybe the child doesn't want to be a girl perhaps? A case of child abuse?

From the OC Register article linked to this one:
In their discrimination lawsuit filed Wednesday, Priya Shah and Jaspret Brar say Heritage Oak Private School advertised itself as “nondiscriminatory” but then refused to treat their daughter, Nicole (Nikki) Brar, in accordance with her gender identity.
The lawsuit says the school denied their daughter’s appeals to wear a girls’ uniform and rejected her requests to be called by the appropriate name and pronouns. The school also insisted that she use a staff restroom instead of the girls’ restroom and failed to address bullying in the classroom, according to the lawsuit.
As I read it, Nick is a boy who wants to wear girls' clothing. The school accomodates this kind of thing in the upper grades, so the parents expected the same for their younger son.
