[American Thinker] Another voter fraud case that we can safely ignore because, as we all know, there's no such thing as voter fraud.
A Democratic party operative in Virginia is going to jail for 100 days after pleading guilty to registering dead people to vote. James Madison University student Andrew J. Spieles, 21, worked for Harrisonburg Votes, a political organization affiliated with the Democratic Party.
As it turns out, the young man wasn't very bright.
#2
Not quite - Spieles later admitted that he prepared the false voter registration forms by obtaining the name, age, and address of individuals from "walk sheets" provided to him by the Virginia Democratic Party
Perhaps the provision of said 'walk sheets' is routine - I don't know what they are.

Looks like a walk sheet is a database of information. At best, when the door-to-door campaign worker knocks on your door, he knows your name. At worst, he doesn't need to knock on your door to register you to vote.

Vote fraud is treason. He should have been executed.
Not by a long shot. Five to ten in Leavenworth might be a little more like it...maybe twenty. People need to know they'll do hard time if they're caught doing this type of thing.

Article didn't say if he was convicted of a FELONY. That would mess his employment chances up good. And 100 days isn't nearly enough.

Barbara, even if he had been convicted of a felony, our governor would just pardon him. Maybe even award a medal for outstanding service to the Democratic Party.

[Free Beacon] The FBI will not confirm or deny the existence of records showing whether the bureau paid the researcher behind the unverified, controversial dossier alleging ties between President Donald Trump and Russia. Perhaps former Director Comey could shed some light.
Christopher Steele, a former British spy, gathered information for the dossier while working for a Washington research firm that supporters of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign hired. Trump has denied that the dossier is true while Steele has said parts of it are unverified.
BLUF:Cause of Action Institute president and CEO John Vecchione released a statement castigating the FBI's response.
"The FBI is circling the wagons by claiming potential harm to national security if it discloses its relationship with Christopher Steele," Vecchione said. "Regardless of whether a payment was ever made, the FBI's affiliation with a political opposition researcher in the midst of a presidential election deserves scrutiny."
"The FBI should be forthcoming about whether and how the agency was relying upon a former foreign spy who, in the pay of private parties, compiled a report of salacious accusations intended to harm the reputation of then-candidate Donald Trump," Vecchione added.
Earlier, it was reported that the FBI had been considering paying Mr Steele to continue his research once the election was over and the Democrats withdrew funding. In the end, Mr Steele was so worried by what he had found that he ended up working on the dossier for free, as The Independent reported in January.

He [Steele] came to believe there was a cover-up, that a cabal within the Bureau blocked a thorough inquiry into Mr Trump, focusing instead on the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.
There was a focused investigation on Hillary's emails? Who would have known?

Christopher Steele, a former British spy, gathered information made up bullshit for the dossier while working for a Washington research firm that supporters of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign hired.

The dossier that launched a thousand unmaskings...
[Dhaka Tribune] The probe is looking into whether Jane falsified bank documents in 2010 in an attempt to secure a $10m loan to expand the college’s campus
US Senator Bernie Sanders ...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords... and his wife Jane Sanders have hired lawyers amid an FBI investigation into a loan Jane obtained to expand Burlington College while she was its president.
Jane Sanders served as president of Burlington College from 2004 to 2011, reports the Huffington Post.
She has been accused of falsely inflating projected donor contributions in the loan application, reports said.
The probe is looking into whether Jane falsified bank documents in 2010 in an attempt to secure a $10m loan to expand the college’s campus.
According to Politico magazine, the FBI probe may also look into whether Bernie Sanders used his political influence to pressurise the bank to approve the loan which was a factor in the school shuttering its doors in 2016 after it found itself unable to pay off its debt.

Fox news also reported Jane paid their daughter several hundred thousand dollars to teach some shop class at the college.
Of course they've rules.
(1) We mean well: so anything we do is good, and anybody who opposes us, is evil.
(2) We are entitled to modest compensation for our Herculean (in the face of your racism, sexism, etc...) labors.
#5
The shop class was a separate school run by Jane's daughter that taught woodworking. It was not affiliated with Burlington College until Jane, with no written contract, started sending some students from Burlington there and paying a considerable sum. That school closed after Burlington did because it was no longer being subsidized by Burlington.

Should have established a foundation Bernie. Like the Clintons.

Big trouble! The story has made it to the WaPo (according to Snopes). On 24 June 2017, the Vermont Senator played down the story in comments made to the Washington Post. The WaPo article is behind the pay wall.
Bernie says it's all nonsense, orchestrated by Trump's Vermont campaign manager. All nonsense.
I sure hope this story grows legs.

Bernie is a bald-faced liar.
All socialists are liars. They have to be to assert economic horseshit that runs counter to the basics of supply and demand curves.

There seems to be a lot of local animosity directed at Jane's tenure as BC prez... grudges age like granite in New England, so weaselly DC lawyer words won't get her unhoisted off the petard she finds herself on.
[Hot Air] Barack Obama is off on another extended vacation abroad this week, this time in Indonesia where he spent much of his formative childhood years.
Since his White House lease expired in January, the ex-president has vacationed at a friend’s house in Palm Springs, on Richard Branson’s private Caribbean island, on David Geffen’s private yacht in French Polynesia and in a Tuscan hamlet purchased in its entirety by John Phillips. Obama appointed Phillips ambassador to Italy. He turned the old town into a private luxury estate.
Now, after a lengthy private jet flight from Hawaii, Obama’s back home again in Indonesia for nine days with a large family entourage, including wife Michelle and half-sister, Maya Soetero-Ng, her family and, of course, Secret Service agents. If you’re walking through Times Square later this week, watch the moving billboards as Indonesia’s Tourism Ministry plays off the Democrat’s trip seeking to attract other foreign visitors.
The Obamas are reportedly staying in a $2,500-a-night set of suites in the Four Seasons Resort on Bali and making several excursions to cultural and heritage sites. Last weekend the Chicagoan was photographed walking among rice paddies. Obama is also scheduled to give a speech next weekend in Jakarta, capital of the world’s most populous Muslim nation.

...a Tuscan hamlet purchased in its entirety...
Purchasing that entire Tuscan hamlet probably cost next to nothing, given that a third of Italy's villages are at risk of depopulation or extinction, according to the Telegraph. Renovating it to modern American standards will have cost a good many shiny pennies, though.
Liberal activists in West Virginia accidentally flew an aerial message attacking a Republican senator representing a completely different state on the other side of the country.
Reporters at the Charleston Gazette-Mail on Monday noticed a plane flying around West Virginia's capital city with a banner reading, "SEN HELLER: KEEP YOUR WORD VOTE NO ON TRUMPCARE."
The only problem? Republican Sen. Dean Heller represents Nevada. The GOP senator representing West Virginia is Shelley Moore Capito.

Informed constituents. (do I need to put a /sarc on that?)
h/t Gates of Vienna
Sunday on Fox News Channel’s "Sunday Morning Futures," President Donald Trump’s son Eric Trump said the Democratic Party was "imploding" and that the Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez was a "nut job."

The FBI launched a criminal probe against former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn two years after the retired Army general roiled the bureau’s leadership by intervening on behalf of a decorated counterterrorism agent who accused now-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and other top officials of sexual discrimination, according to documents and interviews.

While at the Defense Intelligence Agency General Flynn experienced a running gun battle with the CIA over human intelligence 'rice bowl' issues. I would not be surprised to learn he had difficulties with the bureau as well.

An ulterior motive for the Trump investigations?

Flynn might have ticked off the higher ups at the FBI by intervening on behalf of an agent. Flynn was also coming down hard on pedos and child trafficking. There may have been pushback by some in DC.
While most countries around the world saw sharp declines in the level of confidence in the White House since the transfer of power on January 20th from the Obama administration to the Trump administration, Israelis seem to be more optimistic about American leadership since President Trump took office.
...While nearly all countries saw declines in the level of confidence in the White House, Israelis became more confident, with 56% saying they had confidence in President Trump, compared to just 49% who said the same about Obama in 2015. Israeli Jews were more likely than Israeli Arabs to express confidence in President Trump, with 64% of Jews saying they were confident in his leadership, compared to just 25% of Arabs. So, 25% of Israeli Arabs are really Israeli, whereas 36% of Israeli Jews are dumber than sh*t.
If taken separately, Israeli Jews showed the second highest level of confidence in the Trump White House, after the Philippines at 69%.
...Aside from Israel, confidence in American leadership rose only in one other country: Russia. While confidence climbed 7% in Israel, in surged by 42 points in Russia, from 11% in 2015 to 53% in 2017 ‐ the highest level on record since the survey began asking the question in 2001. Loved by Israelis, Russians, and Filipinos - hated by everybody else.
[RollCall] Rep. Ben Ray Luján ‐ like many in Congress ‐ wants President Donald Trump to release his tax returns.
Transparency, the New Mexico Democrat said recently in a Facebook post, "is a cornerstone of democracy."
But he doesn't want to release his own tax returns. And that puts him in good company on both sides of the aisle. Typical. One rule for thee and another for me!
Roll Call sent a request to all of the nation's senators and representatives ‐ more than 500 in all ‐ to release their tax returns. Only 37 responded, and of those, six provided the documents.
The written requests were sent at least three times over a period of several weeks, starting in April, to each lawmaker and key staff members.
Roll Call sought returns from the 2015 and 2016 tax years to accommodate members who have asked for extensions.
Roll Call reviewed public documents and media reports to determine lawmakers' positions on the release of Trump's tax returns. At least 237 lawmakers have called on the president to produce his returns.
The review, which can be viewed in full here, also sought to identify lawmakers who had released all or part of their own returns. It identified an additional 43 lawmakers in the House and the Senate who had released returns or allowed reporters to review them. Another law that might be good for land (besides term limits) is to make it so if you run for or hold a public federal office, you MUST release your tax records every year. Would make for some very interesting reading on our socialist "Friends".
