[American Thinker] The Bernie Sanders supporter who attempted to murder a dozen or so Republican Senators and Congressman yesterday at least did us one favor. He left us no possible doubt about his motivation. In a March 12th post on his Facebook page, he wrote.
"Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time To Destroy Trump & Co."
Now, it must be admitted that his reasoning isn’t actually all that bad. If the President really is a traitor and, if he is literally destroying our democracy, then it’s not unreasonable to think that violent action might be warranted. So, his inference isn’t really what’s crazy here. It’s, rather, the ideas from which he derived it that are the problem.
So, where did he get these crazy ideas? Well, let’s see. Here’s a March 7th Newsweek headline from a piece by President Clinton’s Secretary of Labor, Robert Reich: Is Trump a Traitor or a Paranoid? Former MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann, Democratic propogandist Michael Moore, and venerable Democratic wise man Bill Moyers have all explicitly called the President a traitor. And, of course, the list of Democratic celebrities and politicians who have accused the President of serving Russian interests without necessarily using the word "traitor" would be very long indeed. To take one instance, Rachel Maddow has been beating the Russian conspiracy drum incessantly on her MSNBC show for a while now.
With regard to Hodgkinson’s second premise, Bill Moyers also ran a piece on his website headlined Farewell America, in which the President is accused of destroying our democracy. As did the venerable Atlantic Monthly and Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland. And, of course, once again, the list of Democratic celebrities and politicians who have in one way or another explicitly accused the President of destroying American democracy would be long indeed. And we even know that the assassin held such people in high esteem and paid great attention to their pronouncements. In a series of letters to the editor of the Belleville News-Democrat he said, "The best book I’ve read in a while is "Aftershock" by Robert B. Reich." In another letter he said, "One of my favorite TV shows is "The Rachel Maddow Show."
So, we have at least one thing for which to be grateful. There can be no real debate about where exactly James Hodgkinson got the ideas that made trying to assassinate a dozen Republican politicians seem not totally unreasonable. He got them from perfectly mainstream political and intellectual leaders of the Democratic party. For the past half year, they’ve been cynically trying to undermine President Trump, raise money, and motivate their base by peddling the most extreme fantasies about the President’s relations with Russia and his threat to American democracy. Anyone with half a brain knew all along that it was only a matter of time before someone started taking their manipulative nonsense seriously, as well as the horrific results that would ensue.
We can thank the courageous and timely police response for averting a massacre. But there’s no doubt that we can also thank Democratic party leaders and their media enablers for the attempt. James Hodgkinson has, at least, done us the favor of making that much clear.

Of course there's no doubt. The shooter is white male. Among the republicans playing there were bound to be African - Americans. Therefore motivation must be racism. QED
#5
That won't go anywhere. But it will help fan the flames of hatred which is the real intention. *That* may go somewhere - perhaps even bag a Trump...
#6
Of course there's doubt. It's all our OWN fault for not being Democrats!
(They wouldn't have to do this if we weren't being bad.)

The terms traitor and treason get thrown around loosely by people who ought to know better, e.g. Robert Reich, Keith Olbermann, Bill Moyers. The fix was in to elect Hillary and that didn't work. Trump is the duly elected POTUS. Get over it and do something for America rather than tear it down. There is far more evidence that would indicate that Soros, Podesta, the Clintons, and Barack Hussein Obama are up to their eyebrows in high crimes.

They're not getting over it - simply moving to Plan C w/ Mueller n Co. Yesterday's attack did not slow the Left's drive to overthrow POUTS on bit. Expect more violence.

HRC should be indicted, and if a warm-up period is needed then start with her aides. The rule of law has to make a return to this country, and its forceful return might do away with some of these murderous fantasies the Dems are pursuing.

It's officially gone from a Bernie Bro shooting GOP Congressmen to an 'extremist' "Attack on Congress".
Aside from wondering whether the rhetoric would've been different had it been Democrat Members of Congress, it's a trifecta. A deflection from who inspired the shooter, an shift from an attack on Republicans to portraying its as an attack on the Beltway establishment, and a continuation of the political messaging.

I was thinking, too: The Republican House whip will be out for some time, as he needs another surgery or several, which means he will neither be whipping the herd of Republican cats into line nor casting his own vote. This will make it an awful lot harder to get anything done for the foreseeable future, which the Democrats will leverage and many Republican voters will blame on the Republicans who did not get things done.
A nice political headwind for the Republicans in both Houses facing reelection in 2018.

"This will make it an awful lot harder to get anything done for the foreseeable future"
So the activity of Congressional Republicans will drop from zero? Not sure that's change, though it does give them cover for what they were already doing anyway.
[NoTricksZone] U.S. House Majority Whip Steve Scalise was seriously wounded by a loony leftist gunman, who obviously had been driven over the edge by all the recent hate signals coming from a violence-inciting media.
However, all the left-wing environmental violence just didn’t start yesterday, or since Trump started his campaign. It has in fact been energetically brewing for years. We’ve been warning about it for a long time. Especially skeptics of alarmist climate science bear witness to this. For example an Austrian professor not long ago called for the execution of climate deniers.
Before that, in 2010, a video of pornographic violence produced by the 10 10 climate activism campaign and Richard Curtis fantasized of blowing up climate skeptics:
The message: people who refuse to accept global warming dogma need to be dehumanized, blown up and discarded with the trash. Today these disturbing fantasies of violence are becoming the new reality.
In 2007 Greenpeace featured an angry kid, who used highly threatening language aimed at adults who declined to agree to all radical carbon emissions reductions. Give in to our demands, or we’ll throw a tantrum like you’ve never seen.

Surprise = zero. They've been telling us their plans for some time. Was just a matter of time until they worked up the courage to turn all consuming hatred into action.
[Mercer] Congressmen and their staff were shot at "as they were practicing for tomorrow’s annual charity baseball game. Congressman Steve Scalise, a member of House leadership, was shot and badly wounded." Which prompted President Trump to go into Democrat-appeasing moral relativism mode. Hear Trump:
"We may have our differences, but we do well, in times like these, to remember that everyone who serves in our nation’s capital is here because, above all, they love our country. We can all agree that we are blessed to be Americans, that our children deserve to grow up in a nation of safety and peace, and that we are strongest when we are unified and when we work together for the common good. Please take a moment today to cherish those you love, and always remember those who serve and keep us safe. God bless them all, God bless you, and God Bless America."
Or was this Ivanka the president was channeling? Moral clarity was needed. But any moral clarity displayed by the president during the campaign has evaporated, in favor of obsequious pandering. Not to mention breaking of promises: Libertarian Gabb Sean says that "Ever since Trumps was elected, it’s been a matter of what promises he’ll break this week."
All in all, Democrats are running rings round Trump. If he doesn’t act, Democrats will take the House and Trump will be impeached.
On TV, Conservatives ponderously warned about the perils of "political violence," all as their ranks are shot at and their spokespersons prevented from speaking. An alt-leftist tries to kill Republicans and this signals to the "stupid party" (M. Stanton Evans’ coinage for Republicans) that it’s time to suck-up to the "evil party" (Democrats). As we speak, the Antifa sick fucks have even stabbed a police horse.
After the Alexandria shooting, politicians consider armed security for THEMSELVES, but not a Wall or a Muslim moratorium for The People.

Stoic? More like the frog in boiling water analogy: The boiling frog is an anecdote describing a frog slowly being boiled alive. The premise is that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will not perceive the danger and will be cooked to death.

When is someone going to show they are "angry" about some liberal piece of crap shooting and attempting to murder their colleagues!
Where is your outrage?! I am so sick it.

Sarge, Tump and Melania went to see the Steve at the hospital. That is all that matters to me, because that reinforces who is decent and just confirms that the rest of the government is sub-human.
[Breitbart] The explosion of violence against conservatives across the country is being intentionally ginned up by Democrats, reporters, TV hosts, late-night comedians and celebrities, who compete with one another to come up with the most vile epithets for Trump and his supporters.
They go right up to the line, trying not to cross it, by, for example, vamping with a realistic photo of a decapitated Trump or calling the president a "piece of s--" while hosting a show on CNN.
The media are orchestrating a bloodless coup, but they’re perfectly content to have their low-IQ shock troops pursue a bloody coup.
This week, one of the left’s foot soldiers gunned down Republican members of Congress and their staff while they were playing baseball in Virginia. Democratic Socialist James Hodgkinson was prevented from committing a mass murder only by the happenstance of a member of the Republican leadership being there, along with his 24-hour Capitol Police protection.
Remember when it was frightening for the losing party not to accept the results of an election? During the third debate, Trump refused to pre-emptively agree to the election results, saying he’d "look at it at the time."

You will not hear anyone taking responsibility for the ginned up violence. I've a heard renewed call from the left for gun control but little else. Nearly all the violence has come from the left; Islamic, political, BLM, AntiFa, and any number of others. The lone exception was the Charleston church shooter, Dylann Roof,
So many of these are bankrolled by the likes of Soros. Time to look into the puppeteers instead of the bought and paid for puppets.
[PJMedia] Group Calls for UN To Ban 'Cultural Appropriation'
Lately, social justice jihadis love to decry what they call "cultural appropriation." While the term was initially used to describe the disrespectful usage of cultural items, it has been mutated by the radical leftists to mean anything a white person might enjoy that didn't come from Europe. I call it lamentations of the Perpetually Aggrieved.
Generally, the wailings and lamentations of the SJWs are something that we can roll our eyes about and go on with our day. After all, it's not like there are any laws against it, right? Not Yet.
Well, some totalitarian zealots who are being described as "indigenous advocates" want a worldwide ban on activities that don't pair with your DNA: I don't know, my DNA encompasses quite a lot from North Africa to Norway and from Native America to the Caucasus.
Indigenous advocates from around the world are calling on a UN committee to ban the appropriation of Indigenous cultures -- and to do it quickly.
Delegates from 189 countries, including Canada, are in Geneva this week as part of a specialized international committee within the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), a United Nations agency. Another useless feel-good group of twits.
Since it began in 2001, the committee has been working on creating and finishing three pieces of international law that would expand intellectual-property regulations to protect things like Indigenous designs, dances, words and traditional medicines.
The meeting takes place as concern grows worldwide about the rights of cultures to control their own materials. In the U.S. this week, designer Tory Burch agreed to change the description of one of her coats for women after Romanians protested that it had been described as African-inspired when it actually appropriated a traditional Romanian garment. The world has gone bonkers.
Speaking to the committee Monday, James Anaya, dean of law at the University of Colorado, said the UN's negotiated document should "obligate states to create effective criminal and civil enforcement procedures to recognize and prevent the non-consensual taking and illegitimate possession, sale and export of traditional cultural expressions." Absolutely insane.
OK, let's roll with this.
Effective immediately, Italian restaurants will have to stop selling pasta, since noodles were culturally appropriated from China.
Since cars were invented in the U.S. and Germany, no other peoples will be allowed to drive. The United States and all countries who followed its lead will need to dismantle their democratic republics, as they were appropriated from Greece and ancient Rome. Since we were a British colony, we'll need to return to being a kingdom.
The rest of the world must give up electricity. All-American, baby.
What is often termed "cultural appropriation" is actually appreciation. In the vast majority of cases, it's meant as a compliment. Sure, wearing a Plains Indian headdress for Coachella may not be respectful, but it's not intentionally insulting. After all, they look pretty badass.
Demanding that certain activities and items be off-limits pending the results of a blood test is racism of the worst kind. This movement is despicable, but idiot ideas like enforcing a worldwide ban allow us to have some fun mocking it. Does that mean no more multi-culturalism? Can I still speak Spanish? Can I play German music on my accordion? What about Cajun and Creole? They take things from Spanish, French, Native American, and English cultures and blend them.

[American Thinker] It is very strange, but it seems almost everything in recent American political history translates out to the FBI not functioning as it should. While certainly this is because of a type of political correctness, it is proximately caused by the conscious or unconscious bias of its former director, James Comey, and his being in denial of that bias.
The criminal investigation of Mrs. Clinton for violation of the espionage statute was sabotaged by Obama’s Justice Department. No subpoenas were issued. (The FBI cannot issue grand jury subpoenas; only the Justice Department can.) This is completely not normal; in such a case the FBI cannot work as it should.
The non-issuance of subpoenas by the Justice Department cannot have merely happened, as if by some freak of nature. It is an execrable act that fairly can be said to constitute sabotage, and indeed if anything in recent months has constituted obstruction of justice, this is it. Largely, but not solely, because of this, the FBI’s investigation was a sham, unprecedentedly fake, truncated, and weird.
Then-director Comey should have made this public and most certainly should have resigned in protest. Yet because Comey did not, the fact that the investigation was a sham, that it was obstructed, if not in a legal, then in a descriptive sense, and that it was, yes, a fake Potemkin village sort of investigation was not apparent to the American public. Comey used the aura of the FBI to give the opposite impression. Certainly the media could have pointed this out, but it did not. Comey must have known what his actively going along with the program would mean: a fraud upon the public. He even went along with the program, as it were, by calling it a "matter" and not a "criminal investigation," as directed by Attorney General Lynch.

The time is more than over for speculation about the motives of the actors such as Comey, Mueller, Obama, Podesta, Clintons in this coup. It is time to present the evidence before a grand jury and let them decide whether there is sufficient evidence for a true bill.
[PJ] Imagine this: Your daughter has been training and running track for four years. She's a senior and she's made it to the state finals. College recruiters are in the stands and this is her day to shine (and possibly get a scholarship so you don't have to go bankrupt trying to fund her education). Except that doesn't happen for her because a boy, claiming to be a girl, handily steals the title from her. She's devastated, but when asked how she feels about it, she's terrified to be truthful that she (rightly) feels she was robbed by someone who shouldn't have been competing against her.
"I can't really say what I want to say, but there's not much I can do about it," Kate Hall said after the race, alluding to the fact that she had to compete against Andraya Yearwood, a biological boy.

Actually, its long time to end 'separate but equal'. The gals demand equality. Give it to them. No male/female segregation in sports. May the best person win.

I'm wondering if the East German female runner that was disqualified circa 1970 for having male chromosomes has considered filing suit for her unethically deprived gold medal.

I wonder if Bruce Jenner (Caitlyn) had decided to become a transgender before the Olympics whether he/she would have ever won a gold medal for the decathlon or appeared on Wheaties box? (I don't really wonder--just a rhetorical question.).

I posted the following just before rollover last night--it fits here equally as well:
Everyone can't be "Hitler". Islam is a morally challenged belief system (to put it mildly). Men and women are different. One can't change one's "gender"--they can only butcher their body. Its not a "clump of cells"--its an unborn child. These are only a few of the things that most people understand almost inherently, yet we now live in a society where voicing such common sense risks a public outcry.

And if boyfriends of some of the girls do the right thing - it'll be called a hate crime and will get more coverage than the attempted assassination of Republican congressmen.
