[The Hill] California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) on Tuesday was named a special adviser to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bonn, Germany, later this year.
The appointment by Fiji Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama came less than two weeks after President Trump announced that the U.S. would withdraw from the 195-nation Paris climate accord.
Dozens of business executives, mayors and governors including Brown have vowed to uphold the country's commitment to the agreement, despite Trump's decision to withdraw.
Brown has become a high-profile advocate for climate action on the world stage in recent weeks. The California governor traveled to China last week where he spoke with President Xi Jinping about climate change and signed bilateral climate deals.

IMO, the reason Left and Islam get along so well - despite appearing to differ on every single issue - is because the psychological personality types involved are so similar.

Perhaps while Gov. Brown has P.M. Bainimarama's ear he could get some of Fiji's policing tips for Californian Climate Deniers. Fiji Police have also been accused of torturing suspects in order to obtain confessions, including by rubbing chillies on to people’s bodies, pouring water in their ears, or dropping large rocks on their backs.
[IO] Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa has vowed to lobby the ANC to open a discussion on finding an appropriate name for South Africa.
Mthethwa, who is also an ANC NEC, member was responding to calls made by a resident in Molweni to debate the issue of the country’s name during the party’s national policy conference at the end of the month.
Mthethwa told party supporters during a cadre’s forum on Sunday that South Africa was not the name of the country, but just "a geographical description of where we are".
Resident Bhekisisa Khanyeza said it was unacceptable for a liberated country to continue with a colonial name.
Mthethwa, whose department is in charge of naming public areas, said the ANC had never given itself time to think about the name of the country.
"To tell the truth, the country does not have a name. It is not there," he said.
"They can change every name in South Africa, but it won't change the fact that the government has failed to provide services or curb crime."

What's the Bantu equivalent of Pak-i-stan? And are they in the process of finding their own General Zia to ethnically cleanse (don't call it Apartheid!) themselves of the 'White Corruption'?

South Africa is not a nation but nobody said it was. Union of South Africa is the nation. Just like America is not a nation but United States of America is.
This guy is a bit dim or a coward. If you want to break from your white past be honest about it.
[Daily Caller] Democratic California Sen. Kamala Harris was silenced during the testimony of Attorney General Jeff Sessions when she refused to let him fully answer her questions.
The California senator tried to lock Sessions in a rapid fire question-and-answer style that didn’t allow Sessions to give full answers to her line of questioning.
"Did you consult [Department of Justice policy] before you came before this committee knowing we would ask you questions about it?" Harris asked of Sessions’ assertion that he wouldn’t discuss private conversations with the president.
Sessions tried to answer before Harris cut him off, asking, "Did you ask that it would be shown to you?"
Sessions was clearly becoming frustrated with her inability to let him finish his thoughts, but Harris kept going.
"Did you not ask your staff to show you the policy that would be the basis for your refusing to answer the majority of questions that have been asked of you?"
"Chairman, the witness should be allowed to answer the question," one senator can be heard in the background.
Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr took the reigns, saying, "Senators will allow the chair to control the hearing. Senator Harris, let him answer."

Dems showcase one of their 2020 budding communist hopefuls. Follows is a link to the leftest rag 'Palmer Report' which leaves little doubt the Dem goal is to bring down President Trump:
Excerpt: Harris has only been in the Senate for a few months, meaning she wouldn’t ordinarily be on such a fast track to national prominence. But these aren’t ordinary times. She has a strong resume back in California, including time spent as District Attorney, and then State Attorney General. However, she’s entered the national limelight primarily due to her performance during the hearings into Trump’s Russia scandal.
Kamala Harris was the one who helped former FBI Director James Comey to fully paint an accurate picture of Donald Trump’s attempted obstruction of justice when she pointed out that it doesn’t matter what precise words a robber uses when he’s pointing at gun at you. And yes, Harris was the one who kept her cool and persisted when she was cut off by her male Republican counterpart, in a trend that’s become all too familiar of late.

Russians under every bed 2017 seems like McCarthyism redux. This time maybe we should call it Harrisism. At the very least she was harassing the witness.
I watched her little performance. She's a real attack dogbitch. Acted like she was prosecuting some two-bit liquor store robber. IMHO, here's what the Dems refused to acknowledge: The president cannot assert executive privilege if his underlings spill the beans before he gets a chance to assert it therefore Sessions was protecting and preserving Trump's right to assert executive privilege by refusing to answer some of the Dems' questions. But they kept trying to make it sound like Sessions was showing contempt. Again, IMHO, if they can ignore simple facts to make something like that sound like contempt or obstruction they'll do it because they've got nothing else. MSM will go along with them by ignoring the simple facts themselves and the sheeple will never know the difference.

Sessions appeared the way he always has - an honest, decent, soft spoken yet tough and highly intelligent Southern gentlemen. He knew what Harris was doing and he was not flustered.

Kamala, or Virtue Signalled.
Two minorities commingled!
Stardust sprinkled. Ducats jingled.
Democratic legs all tingled.
[Al Jazeera] US Attorney-General Jeff Sessions vehemently denied on Tuesday that he colluded with an alleged Russian bid to tilt the 2016 presidential election in Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... 's favour.
Sessions is the most senior member of Trump's administration caught up in the controversy over whether associates of the president colluded with Russia to help Trump win November's election.
"I have never met with or had any conversations with any Russians or any foreign officials concerning any type of interference with any campaign or election in the United States," Sessions told a closely watched hearing of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
"The suggestion that I participated with any collusion, that I was aware of any collusion with the Russian government to hurt this country, which I have served with honour for 35 years, or to undermine the integrity of our democratic process, is an appalling and detestable lie."

I'm sure D.C. insiters consider it a 'delectable" lie.
[THEHILL] The weekly meeting of House Democrats on Tuesday erupted over stark disagreements about how the party should fight President Trump.
Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.), a leadership ally, stood during the Democrats’ closed-door caucus meeting to denounce Rep. Brad Sherman’s (D-Calif.) impeachment push as a selfish maneuver that could hurt fellow Democrats and candidates at home, according to a source in the room.
There must be "a discussion within the caucus -- in a public forum -- before we do something that would position our colleagues or our future colleagues," Capuano said, according to the source.
"Emotions are high. These issues have political implications and government ones."
Rep. the mealy-mouthed Steny StinkyHoyer ... Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi's second banana, or plaintain, or mango, or whatever he is... (D-Md.), the minority whip, also took issue with Sherman’s tactics on Tuesday after the meeting.
"We believe strongly that a discussion about impeachment is not timely," he said.
Sherman told The Hill that he spoke with Capuano afterward to emphasize that he wasn't moving forward with a floor vote on impeachment without input from Democratic leaders and colleagues.
"I said, 'I couldn’t agree with you more. I’m not doing anything until I consult with colleagues and leadership,'" Sherman said.

Right now, these are merely wet dreams of the unhinged left. They will enlist all the Donks as usual and try to peel off enough RINOS to bring about an impeachment on some B.S. charges such as Russian collusion. Either that or they will wait and try to win the House back and do the same.
Trump needs to turn this around and go on the attack. The Donks are not busy enough. He needs to go after the abundant real corruption/criminality/venality of the last administration gangsta government. If he doesn't drain the swamp it will suck him in and drown him.

Good idea. If they can dig for dirt on him then he should be able to do the same to them and with them there is undoubtedly a helluva lot more dirt to be found.

I nominate a California Senator - Blum's wife, Senator Dianne Feinstein, has received scrutiny due to her husband's government contracts and extensive business dealings with China and her past votes on trade issues with the country. Blum has denied any wrongdoing, however.[9] Critics have argued that business contracts with the US government awarded to a company (Perini) controlled by Blum may raise a potential conflict-of-interest issue with the voting and policy activities of his wife.[10] URS Corp, which Blum had a substantial stake in, bought EG&G, a leading provider of technical services and management to the U.S. military, from The Carlyle Group in 2002; EG&G subsequently won a $600m defense contract.[1]
In 2009 it was reported that Blum's wife Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to provide $25 billion in taxpayer money to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp, a government agency that had recently awarded her husband's real estate firm, CB Richard Ellis, what the Washington Times called "a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms."[11]

49, I think that some Democrats seem to think that "stealing" the election from Hillary amounts to a high crime. They've been talking impeachment from before Trump was even inaugurated.

Impreachement doesn't even remove the person from office, judging by the Clinton impeachment it can turned the impeached into a martyr (even if guilty).

The left has never been a fan of the rule of law. That is why the left packs the court with judges who pointedly ignore the law. And why college campuses ignore free speech and due process (Duke lacrosse team anyone?).

The left is desperate. Over at Drudge and in WAPO, the headline reads "Mueller Probes Obstruction." So Meuller is expanding his investigation beyond the Russian collusion probe. The Russian collusion probe was based on a lie. Comey leaked information to a friend at Columbia Law School to then be leaked to the NYTs to try to set up a Special Counsel. Later, Comey met with Mueller before he testified before the Senate committee.
It would seem appropriate for Mueller to recuse himself from further investigation. It would also seem appropriate to pull the plug on this B.S. investigation fishing expedition and witch hunt. If there is a Special Counsel is established, it ought to be to investigate all the Machiavellian back-biting that is going on to undermine Trump. Another ought to be set up to investigate Obama/the Clintons'/Soros criminality.
