FBI Director James Comey and then-U.S. President Barack Obama relied on the hugely discredited ’BuzzFeed dossier’ to secure a FISA warrant against then-candidate Donald Trump’s team, reports CNN.
According to the outlet, U.S. officials briefed on the FBI’s Russia-Trump probe say Comey cited the dossier "in some of his briefings to members of Congress in recent weeks, as one of the sources of information the bureau has used to bolster its investigation."
As CNN goes on to state, "the dossier is a collection of memos compiled by a former British intelligence operative working for political opponents of Trump."
This is reportedly the same dossier BuzzFeed published earlier this year -- the one suggesting Russians had been supporting Donald Trump for years and had information concerning explicit pee-pee-centric encounters between Trump and prostitutes.
Ex-BuzzFeed reporter Rosie Gray ultimately published a piece in The Atlantic calling the dossier’s veracity into question.
The piece includes a comment from Trump aide Michael Cohen providing an alibi in response to allegations that he was "the ongoing secret liaison relationship between [Trump’s] campaign and the Russian leadership."
"I’ve not been to Prague, I’ve never been to Czech, I’ve not been to Russia," he said. "The story is completely inaccurate, it is fake news meant to malign Mr.Trump."
During the time frame the dossier places Cohen in Russia, he claims he was actually in a meeting with his son and a USC baseball coach. The coach confirmed this.
BuzzFeed, of course, published the dossier even when other mainstream media outlets like the Washington Post and The New York Times refused to do so, citing its unverified nature.
Now, it turns out ‐ as ZeroHedge also reports ‐ the FBI and Obama administration used the discredited report to receive a warrant against Trump team member Carter Page.
The warrant, claims ZeroHedge, "paved the way for Comey and the Obama administration to secretly monitor the Trump campaign."
ZeroHedge reports that Carter Page has responded to this latest revelation by stating, "I look forward to the Privacy Act of 1974 lawsuit that I plan to file in response to the civil rights violations by Obama administration appointees last year."
Oh dear. Looking at his Wikipedia page, one might assume that Mr. Page has both deep pockets and useful contacts. This could become amusing, though not for the targets.
"The discovery process will be of great value to the United States, as our nation hears testimony from them under oath and we receive disclosure of the documents which show what exactly was done in 2016." Never let a crisis fake news report go to waste.

The Wikipedia page says the warrant by FISA was 90-days and renewed multiple times. So who's still renewing it? And what have they found to be able to continually do so?
Time to show your hand or fold, boys.

We are faced with corruption in the agencies formed to ward against corruption. Ifeel it will only get worse.

[Breitbart] A top Border Patrol agent and president of the National Border Patrol Council (NBPC) has alleged that Border Patrol management in Montana’s Havre Sector are suspected of being corrupt and ordering miles of border unpatrolled in an intentional effort to help drug smugglers. The agent, Brandon Judd, made the shocking assertions in response to a Breitbart Texas exclusive "Officials Defy Trump’s Promises: 40 Miles of Border Ordered Unpatrolled" and were made on Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM.
Agent Judd, as president of the NBPC, asserted:
"They [Border Patrol managers] started assigning agents to one zone instead of letting them patrol the entire border. What this did was it left 40 miles just completely open. Which then allows anybody to cross the border without being detected, without being found. Again, who knows what came across the border during that period of time: narcotics, weapons, illegal aliens and who knows from where ... this is something that we saw during the Obama-era and was something that we definitely didn’t think was going to happen in the Trump-era."
Agent Judd continued:
"I’ve been in contact with the highest levels of management and they’re looking into it. It’s believed that this is due to corruption. That management is making the decision to pull agents out of certain zones to allow contraband to come across the border ... this is being looked at that that’s what this is about."

How can the only remaining urban industry and it's democratic constituency survive if the border is closed off, not to mention the future registered voter requirements ?
#2
Not shocking at all. There have long been reports that some Border Patrol agents succumbed to the combination of threats and bribery to look the other way or help out -- or even were members of drug gangs who joined the Border Patrol with malice aforethought.
Cleaning that out is a never ending problem, but now they have a president who will help rather than hinder. Happy hunting, guys.

The swampy girl, Emily Marshall, who got her clock punched at Berkeley was throwing glass bottles at people, while wearing an antifa bandana and using a false name. In other words, weapons are already routine for these morons.

There will be blood in the streets and the left will clutch their pearls and wail and cry how violence isn't the answer and Trump is causing all of this with his hate...
all the while taking money from Soros, spreading lies and hate, paying antifa to be violent, and fulfill his dream of destroying the US.
Antifa has no choice but to escalate the violence. Their rapid defeat at Bearkly showed that the center and right are tired of being attacked and will fight back in an organized and efficient fashion. This will only lead to mostly antifa bodies lining the streets.

The media is working feverishly on the sucker-punch narrative, but every pic clearly shows it was not, and no one is buying it. Darth has it exactly right - there is no wiggle room anymore.

I was busy this weekend, so the video was just kind of sprung on me. First thought - that dude is coming up pretty quick on that guy's back.
*contact*
Oh, that was a girl.
My point, a uniformed participant moved aggressively into an active fight. Yup.
Now about Aunti Fa officially condoning knife and concealed weapons, to quote Egon Spangler, I think that is an extraordinarily bad idea.

She was indeed throwing bottles, and that position was specifically taken down at the beginning of the surge as many could most likely see where those bottles were coming from

[DAILYCALLER] Nevada’s Secretary of State blamed the Department of Motor Vehicles voter registration process for adding people to the state voter rolls who were not U.S. Citizens.
Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske told state DMV director, Terri Albertson in a letter Friday evening about her concerns regarding the registrations.
"It has come to our attention that when offering voter registration opportunities to customers, DMV’s employees offer voter registration materials to DMV customers whom they know to be non-citizens based upon their presentation of a Green Card for identification purposes," Cegavske wrote.
"More specifically, it is our understanding that some DMV employees have been instructed to accept registration materials from all customers, including those who present a Green Card for identification purposes...This practice must cease immediately. Please take appropriate actions, as we have reason to believe that non-citizens have unlawfully registered to vote in Nevada as a direct result of DMV’s practices. Moreover, we now have confirmed that some non-citizens illegally cast votes in the 2016 election."

But there was no voter fraud, and that same rampant voter fraud doesn't need to be investigated.
#3
Then there are the other state(s) which automatically register DMV customers for the vote, as part of issuing driver's licenses, even without any action taken by the non-citizen customer. This is even more scandalous.
[DAILYSIGNAL] State politicians want Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton’s administration to explain its apparent faith in a politically connected union despite evidence of fraud since the union won an election to represent thousands of residents who care for disabled relatives in their homes.
State Rep. Marion O’Neill, chairman of the Subcommittee on Employee Relations, plans to schedule a hearing to ask the head of Minnesota’s labor relations agency to detail how an affiliate of the Service Employees International Union recruited home caregivers and the state administered the election.
"I want to see how many [ballots] they actually did send out, and I want to see the original receipts for the mailing," O’Neill told The Daily Signal in a phone interview.
"I want to see copies of the returned ballots," she said. "I want to see who signed them and verify that those signatures are authentic, and not fabricated and not forged."

Obummble and Axlerod were busy as early as 2010 in weaponizing the IRS against conservative groups. Lerner was a willing/eager minion who carried out the policy from the WH.

Still, mature software development methodologies, practices and tools will allow the domestic hiring of junior programmers at lower wages than what the experienced can demand.
'Time-to-Market' is more important for acquisition valuation than product stability.
#4
Hopefully this will curb the abuse by some companies to fire/layoff their folks and then hire an outside 'subcontractor' for various tasks.
It's illegal to fire/layoff your employee(s) and directly hire H1-B folks to replace them, so the workaround is to hire these 3rd party companies (who have no employees specifically for the required tasks and therefor can request the foreign workers with the required skillsets).
These 'Temporary Worker' companies just act as a pass-through....legally until now.

Highly skilled my ass. Lowly paid would be more accurate.
I dealt with many of these types in my software consultant days and they were generally moderate at best talents. But they were also living 4 to a small apartment to cut costs to their employer (aka 3rd part sub-contractor).
It would have been better to have the companies subsidize the old CDI model for developing programmers and cut the regulations that made that such a cost prohibitive nightmare.

It's the double standard that irritates me.
On its face this is laudable in the age of made-for-TV Non-violent Protest Theater -- it streamlines the procedure. *But* in liberal bastions like Berkeley any group to the right of the Khmer Rouge will have their protest preemptively banned for 'the public good' if they used this hot-line.
[The Hill] Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) said on Tuesday that President Trump's frequent trips to his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida bother not only her, but other members of the Republican caucus.
"I do wish he would spend more time in Washington, D.C.," Ernst said during a town hall meeting. "That's what we have the White House for."
Since he took office, Trump has spent seven out of the last 13 weekends at his self-described "winter White House" in Palm Beach. The visits have stirred controversy, in part because of the enormous costs associated with such frequent travel.
One estimate of the weekend trips by CNN placed the cost so far above $20 million, putting Trump on track to spend more on travel in his first year in office than former President Obama spent in eight years. A 'CNN' estimate you say ?
Before becoming president, Trump frequently assailed Obama for his excessive travel and vacations, arguing that the then-president should stay in Washington to work rather than play golf on the weekends.
"I think that has been bothering not just me but some other members of our caucus," Ernst said of Trump's Mar-a-Lago trips.
POTUS appears to be fully engaged, working long hours, and getting things done. He did support your bullshi* ethanol subsidies and blended fuels mandate. You were happy with him then.

It terrible all those K-Street hustlers have to travel down to Florida to turn their Congresscritter there visiting the southern White House for dinner.
#5
President Obama played on the weekends, and frequently during the week as well, in addition to his frequent vacations. President Trump works during the weekend, off-site and in casual clothes -- a big difference. Witness his recent hosting of the leader of China and his wife at Mar-a-Lago, who were charmed by the Trump grandchildren singing to them in Mandarin. Both the weekend get-away and the singing were gushed over in the Chinese press, so that counts as diplomacy, not excess overhead.

Called one of the many Joni Ernst Iowa offices and asked the feller who answered if Ms. Ernst has abolished Zero Care or secured our borders. The feller said he would have to get answers on that. I told him the answer is no and until Ms. Ernst finally gets something done in D.C. to stop running her mouth about Trump.

I would prefer he didn't spend a lot of time in DC and become institutionalized. (Intelligence term for an asset that spends too much time in country and starts developing too much affinity for the place he is in)
Maybe the senator should stop inhaling furious amounts of lobbyist dick in DC and get out a bit more.
#9
The visits have stirred controversy, in part because of the enormous costs associated with such frequent travel.
I'm willing to bet that a search of The Hill's archives would show five or less articles complaining about Obama's 'enormous' travel costs. Naturally, this is only a problem when a Republican is in office.
[DAILYCALLER] Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Rep. Comrade Maxine Waters is denying ever having called for Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... ’s impeachment, a bizarre claim since she was recorded on video just this weekend leading a crowd of activists in an "Impeach 45!" chant.
In an interview on Tuesday with MSNBC’s Craig Melvin, Waters was asked about a tweet she sent out earlier in the day saying that she was going to fight "everyday until [Trump’s] impeached."
Waters said that allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government need to be investigated.

A longer-term study of opinions and motives might be found in political and economic trends of the former Belgium Congo. But on second thought, I doubt such a study is actually necessary.
[Breitbart] U.S. Border Patrol agents are once again sounding the alarm about miles of border being left wide open and unsecured. Breitbart Texas exclusively obtained a document showing a Havre Sector Border Patrol manager knowingly issuing orders to leave 40 miles of Montana border open and unpatrolled. Obama holdovers in the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency are continuing with the same careless disregard in the Trump Administration that they did under former President Obama, according to Border Patrol agents. Per Havre Sector website (linked above):

issuing orders to leave 40 miles of Montana border open
Got to leave an escape route open for all those who pledged to depart America upon the election of Trump. Particularly after they fire up the next Civil War.
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] Attorney General Jeff Sessions warned in a late Monday op-ed for USA Today that recent efforts to reform police practices have focused too much on the "small number of police who are bad actors, rather than on criminals."
"[T]oo many people believe the solution is to impose consent decrees that discourage the proactive policing that keeps our cities safe," he wrote.
Sessions has openly criticized consent decrees a means of reforming local and state police departments. This month, he called for a sweeping review of any consent decrees, which are court-binding agreements between the federal government and a police department on how to reform, that were reached before President Trump took office or that are currently being negotiated.
