[NYPOST] Mayor de Blasio deprecated the Charging Bull sculpture in Lower Manhattan on Friday as a "celebration of unfettered capitalism" -- while defending the Fearless Girl statue in front of the bull for "standing up to injustice."
The mayor made the comment on his weekly WNYC radio show, where he also vowed that the city would fight a lawsuit by the creator of Charging Bull to get rid of Fearless Girl.
"I think the artist has to realize times change, people want to see things that represent their lives and their realities," de Blasio said.
"Let’s be blunt! Charging Bull is a celebration of unfettered capitalism, and I don’t think for lot of people that says it all.
"You can say it is about the spirit of optimism sure, but it is a symbol of Wall Street, and Wall Street to say the least is a double-edge sword."
Hizzoner was responding to artist Arturo Di Modica, who told news hounds two days earlier that the placement of "Fearless Girl" staring down his work makes him "sick."
He is planning to sue State Street Global Advisors, the mutual fund company that placed "Fearless Girl" in opposition to his work, for trademark and copyright infringement.
The 4-foot "Fearless Girl" -- installed for International Woman’s Day -- initially had a temporary permit to stand opposite the bull.
But de Blasio extended it another 11 months at the request of women’s groups.
De Blasio said it would be a "mistake" for the frail 76-year-old artist to sue and that the city "will fight him legally."
"’Fearless Girl’ to so many people means standing up to injustice, the empowerment of women...," he added. "We think what has been done is absolutely legally appropriate on the city’s part. We are going to defend ’Fearless Girl’ and her right to be there."

[Wash Times] Former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell said that the U.S. is making relations with North Korea worse by touting military "bluster."
Mr. Morell said on CBS’ "This Morning" Friday, "We are also making it worse with our bluster, and by sending aircraft carriers in there. We’re raising the crisis."
"It’s best to just ignore [North Korean leader Kim Jong-un]."
He also said that the situation with North Korea is immediate and that their weapons can probably reach the continental United States, as well as other targets.
"We think they’ve had enough time to mate a nuclear weapon to a missile. So the threat is now."
Mr. Morell also said to expect a nuclear test this Saturday in honor of the 105th birthday of Kim Il-Sung, the first leader of North Korea since its establishment in 1948. The birthday is often used as a date for North Korean leaders to demonstrate military capabilities in a show of the country’s strength.

If I read this right, she wants 2 mill advance so it's really about opening the bidding with bookstores and Hildabeest . Since she seems to have been left behind, it's about buying her off or else. I think I may have fixed it by removing the quotes surrounding the URL. The quotes are supposed to be there, but sometimes -- for reasons I completely fail to understand -- it will only work if that particular set are removed.

As predicted. It was all going to be about turning out numbers. Folks came from as far as Montana and Canada. Also, lots of folks from Huntington Beach came up. Note - all those pro Trump folks how came early and entered the cordoned of area were disarmed by police - who then just melted away and were hardly seen in the area. Antifa was not and had the ability to retrieve weapons and had tons of pepper spray, but they did not have the numbers. Antifa attempted to use the garbage bin as a battering ram, failed, and got thumped. Lots of bleeding on both sides but in the end, Antifa was routed - and this was done in the beating heart of Socialist CA. Antifa is now 0 for 3 in CA. Important note - some good vid clips out there of folks asking cops why the hell they're hanging back.
