WASHINGTON (CBS) – A Massachusetts law enforcement official testifying before Congress on Tuesday called for leaders of sanctuary cities to be arrested.
Bristol County Sheriff Thomas Hodgson told the House Subcommittee on Illegal Immigration that sanctuary cities “have become magnets for illegal aliens, some of which have violent criminal records.”
“If these sanctuary cities are going to harbor and conceal criminal illegal aliens from ICE, which is in direct violation of Title 8 of the U.S. Code, federal arrest warrants should be issued for their elected officials,” Hodgson said. “Our citizens would be safer if we never stopped enforcing immigration law and if we never formed or turned a blind eye toward sanctuary cities.”

Maybe the Border Patrol should throw a few little old ladies, Mormons, kids, nuns, etc. into the mix just to show they are not targeting Muslims. Who are the people who are committing "terror acts"? If some white guy with a beard committed a bank robbery, you wouldn't look for an Asian guy, woman or some black guy.

Not a definitive "yes," but there’s no obvious way Heitkamp gets from that statement to a no on cloture. If you’re looking for someone to thank for twisting Manchin’s arm, thank Mike Pence, who used his speech in West Virginia on Saturday night to mention Manchin by name as someone who can help put Gorsuch on the High Court.

Whatever Manchin's personal views, in a state where Trump beat Hillary by 42 points, he needs to appear moderate. At the same time, if he's not liberal enough, he will face a primary challenge. The fact that he hasn't re-registered as a Republican - in the most pro-GOP state in the union - suggests to me that he is at heart a liberal who is tacking as far left as he can without destroying his political viability.
[NBCNEWS] Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez has launched a major overhaul of the party's organization, which has been stung by recent crises -- and the DNC has requested resignation letters from all current staffers.
Party staff routinely see major turnover with a new boss and they had been alerted to expect such a move. However, some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go... the mass resignation letters will give Perez a chance to completely remake the DNC's headquarters from scratch. Staffing had already reached unusual lows following a round of post-election layoffs in December.
Immediately after Perez's selection as party chairman in late February, an adviser to outgoing DNC Interim Chair Donna Brazile, Leah Daughtry, asked every employee to submit a letter of resignation dated April 15, according to multiple sources familiar with the party's internal workings.
A committee advising Perez on his transition is now interviewing staff and others as part of a top-to-bottom review process to decide not only who will stay and who will go, but how the party should be structured in the future.

The Dems are either unwilling or unable to look into themselves and see what went wrong with their whole game. They were roundly rejected.
It is analogous to the Vampire looking in a mirror. He does not see his reflection, so he cannot really see inward.
So the bottom line is that the dems are unable to face themselves and see where they went wrong. So they get further away from this defect by attacking everybody else in ways that demonize, ridicule, isolate, cause disruption, paralyze govt, etc. In other words, they evolve into a fifth column. And that is what they have become.

[DAILYCALLER] New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Monday that New Yorkers will be at risk of terror if Attorney General Jeff Sessions follows through on cutting federal law enforcement grants to sanctuary cities.
Sessions appeared at the White House to say that jurisdictions that ignore immigration detainers will lose Department of Justice grants, which total $4.1 billion for the upcoming fiscal year.
“President Trump’s latest threat changes nothing. We will remain a city welcoming of immigrants who have helped make our city the safest big city in the nation,” de Blasio said in response. “Any attempt to cut NYPD funding for the nation’s top terror target will be aggressively fought in court. We won’t back down from protecting New Yorkers from terror – or from an overzealous administration fixated on xenophobia and needless division.”

Depends on how you count 'crime'. Every illegal in a sanctuary city is a criminal due to their breaking of federal law. I would also consider any person ignoring federal law in regards to illegals a criminal as well.
[Daily Caller] Massachusetts state Rep. Michelle DuBois posted a warning to illegal immigrants on her Facebook page Tuesday about upcoming Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids that are rumored to be taking place in the area.
In the post, DuBois wrote, "ICE raid in Brockton (MA) on 3/28."
"I got the following information from my friend in the Latin community: ’I have a message for the immigrant community of Brockton. Please be careful on Wednesday 29. ICE will be in Brockton on that day.'"
"If you are undocumented don’t go out on the street," DuBois, who represents the 10th district, added. "If there is a knock on the door of your house and you don’t know who it is, don’t open the door. I ask you to be careful."
The Democrat included a phone number for immigrants to call if they are detained by ICE.

Pretty obviously her district is a hotbed of illegals. Trump should flood the zone with ICE/BPs for an unspecified period of time. Let's see how that works for the employers of illegals. Keep the boot on their neck and explain: "We thank Representative DoBois for alerting us to this pandemic"
