Do he means no more "Nation Building"? Then I'm all for it.
Donald Trump "humbly" accepted the Republican nomination for president on Thursday night, capping an historic and unlikely run to become the party's standard-bearer.
Trump's acceptance speech was well within his rhetorical repertoire, themed not on a promise of morning in America or on the prospects for a better world, but on a country gripped by violence in its streets and a relentless threat of terrorism from a specific type of foreigner.
Rattling off anecdotes of killings from Chicago to the country's southern border, from Missouri to France, Trump promised an end to the nation's apparent chaos should he assume its highest office.

[Wash Times] Philadelphia’s police union is blasting Hillary Clinton for inviting relatives of victims of police shootings to speak at the Democratic National Convention next week, but failing to include relatives of slain police officers.
John McNesby, president of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, said the union was "shocked and saddened" by the planned choice of speakers at the convention, which opens Monday in Philadelphia.
"The Fraternal Order of Police is insulted and will not soon forget that the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton are excluding the widows and other family members of police officers killed in the line of duty who were victims of explicit and not implied racism," Mr. McNesby said in a statement.
He said it’s "sad that to win an election Mrs. Clinton must pander to the interests of people who do not know all the facts, while the men and women they seek to destroy are outside protecting the political institutions of this country.
"Mrs. Clinton, you should be ashamed of yourself, if that is possible."

Hillary Clinton is now moving into tertitory that is very dangerous territory. Hillary Clinton is now seizing on the evil movement of cop killing.
During her time in law school she corresponded with Saul Alinsky, author of "Rules for Radicals".
He offered her a job but she turned it down because because she did not think he was radical enough. She was interning for a leftist law firm that represented the Black Panthers. She now sees the anti cop movement as the vehicle for tearing down society via violence that radicals like her have been looking for, for decades.

At that young age she was extremely anti-military, hence why Benghazi went down like it did. Obama and Hillary are identical in that mindset.

Nor do they wish to know the facts. Emphasis added.

Wow - I did not believe this was true. I just checked the DNC list of speakers and it looks like Tuesday is Bubba Clinton and BLM day at the convention.
Baton Rouge Police Officer Montrell Jackson will be laid to rest on Monday...and Clinton works to reignite the BLM madness on Tuesday. And what pizzes me off is that somewhere, right now, a police officer is going about his business on the beat or at home with his family, not knowing that he will be shot in the back and his/her life taken later this week by a racist BLM thug...because of this agitprop. Clinton is complicit.

Inviting this "demographic" to speak at the the DNC is an extension of 0bean's efforts to divide and sow chaos in the US. I would like to say that his latest rhetoric suggests he's sort of backing down from this stance, but given his megalomania, he's not the kind to learn anything in less than about six years, if ever. So maybe he's having her pick up the mantle.

I went to see that d00d twice, seriously. Closed for repair. I suspect the old boy is carted off to the deep freeze during the fierce Russian Summer.
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Clinton's campaign emptied its war chest in June on Trump only to see the Democratic candidate's standing in national polls rise and then drop
Clinton raised $40.5 million in June and spent all but a small portion of it - $39.8 million - before month's end
Roughly $9 million went toward commercials; Trump hasn't run a single ad since wrapping up the GOP primary and is only three points down

Because they're the ones who are going to count the votes?

Yes, the push is on. Voter ID laws are being amended by Federal judges in Texas and Wisconsin as we speak. Pets will be authorized to vote in a week or two.

Yes, traditionally the Donk Media has their candidate ahead by at least 10 points in the polls at this time before the election, narrowing quickly in the week or two just before the vote. What happens when it's already narrowed this far out?

I think the swing voters, the uncommitted know what they have in Hillary so no amount of advertising is going to change what they know or how they think. that percentage that keeps saying they are going to vote for her are the true believers. Not all of whom actually vote.

I wonder what they spent the other $30 million on.
[FREEBEACON] Former Texas governor Rick Perry said President B.O. has "corroded our military" in remarks at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday.
Perry devoted his speech at an event hosted by FRC Action and the Susan B. Anthony List to veterans’ issues, saying he trusts Republican nominee Donald Trump to put veterans first if he is elected president.
"Today I don’t think we are where we need to be," Perry said. "We’re not where we need to be with those active-duty military men and women. The current administration has corroded our military."
"They corroded them from the standpoint of the financial side, from the leadership side, and they’ve corroded it with rules of engagement that send the message to those young men and women, ’Listen, we may put your life in jeopardy so that we can be politically correct,’" he said. "It is time to send a powerful message and say, ’No more.’"
Perry, who served five years as an Air Force pilot, said restoring a strong military that "projects our power" is the number one issue facing the country.

I hope, one day, we'll find out why Perry didn't run seriously.
[TOWNHALL] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... ’s failed coup, combined with the disastrous disunity and polarization in the United States thanks to Barack Obama If you have a small business, you didn't build that... , have gotten people talking about whether it could happen here. For example, part-time law professor and full-time Instapundit Glenn Reynold has recently taken some serious looks at the issue of coups within the context of the American system of checks and balances. So what if next January Obama and his barely post-puberty band of juice box screw-ups in the West Wing decide they don’t want to leave? And the issue is even more pressing with Donald Trump sneaking up in the polls ‐ Nate Silver gives him a 34% chance of winning, which is up from the approximately 0% chance a whole bunch of people gave him a year ago, your author included. If a couple more disgruntled cop haters with totally obvious unknown motives and a few more [OMITTED] bully boyz go on kill sprees, Trump might well be our next president.

True.
When fundraisers and political allies are the only ones appointed to actual REAL WORLD POSITIONS, there is no way you could have even come close to this.
Glad he has no movement at all in international order or dis-order now other than wasting taxpayer money on egghead idiot communist bombthrowers.
He is a waste of skin and bones. And just wait!
Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin will be the closest he hears of it.

U.S. prosecutors have linked the prime minister of Malaysia, a key American ally in Asia, to hundreds of millions of dollars allegedly siphoned from one of the country's economic development funds, according to a civil lawsuit seeking the seizure of more than $1 billion of assets from other people connected to him.
The move sets up a rare confrontation between U.S. prosecutors and an important partner in the fight against terrorism. The moderate Muslim nation is also a counterpoint to China's rising ambitions in Asia.
[CNSNEWS] President Barack Obama My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it... said at the White House Summit on Global Development yesterday that "we are living in the most peaceful" era in human history and that "the world has never been less violent."
According to the White House schedule, the president used the summit to "bring together development leaders, public and private sector financing partners, civil society, diplomats, and entrepreneurs to mark our global progress and catalyze further development efforts."
"So it is worth reminding ourselves of how lucky we are to be living in the most peaceful, most prosperous, most progressive era in human history," Obama said in the speech.
"Because the world has never been less violent, healthier, better educated, more tolerant, with more opportunity for more people, and more connected than it is today," he also said.

Petulant whinging child. Have you noticed the people aged 40+ years old that suddenly discover that they are *OLD* now and all of their youthful fantasies will never come true. The good, mature people roll up their sleeves and prioritize what they think they can accomplish.

Um, the Caliphate, the country that used to be Syria (along with the Christian genocide there), Iraq, the drug massacres on the US Mexican border, that ISIS thing in Europe...all beg to differ from the chump's bald faced lie.

Think about this, people.
Imagine his target audience - the Davoisie, the NPR-listening-pseudointellectual class, and the publicly employed.
All of those groups now have anxiety-free income streams, and get their "news" from outlets that black out any item or fact or story that might show the failures of leftist politicians and their policies.
So when he says this stuff, they swallow it hook, line and sinker. Because for them, things really ARE like that.
For the rest of us not so much.

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
