13 ISIS loyalists killed, 7 wounded in Nangarhar province
At least 13 loyalists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group were killed during the clearance operations in eastern Nangarhar province.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) said at least 7 loyalists of the terror group were also wounded during the operations.

According to a statement by MoD, the operations were conducted in Achin and Deh Bala districts of Nangarhar with the support of the Air Force and Artillery units.

This comes as ISIS loyalists launched an attack on police headquarters of Haska Mina which left the district police chief dead along with 5 other policemen.

The Afghan forces have stepped up counterterrorism operations tageting the loyalists of the terror group amid concerns they are attempting to expand foothold in the country.

In the meantime, Afghanistan National Security Council (NSC) approved in principle the strategy to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group.

The National Security Council also instructed relevant institutions to take all necessary steps to hit and destroy the terror group in Afghanistan and prevent the terrorist activities of the group in the country.

3 shot dead by Taliban militants in Logar
The Taliban militants have allegedly shot dead three sisters in the central Logar province of Afghanistan, local officials said Sunday.
The officials further added that the women were shot dead in Kharwar district of Logar as they were returning to their home.

Provincial governor’s spokesman Salim Saleh said four women had gone to a hill in a village and three of them were captured by the militants as they were returning from the area.

He said one of the women managed to flee the area which is totally under the control of the Taliban militants.

The victims have been reported to be between the age of 18 to 20 year old and the local officials are saying they had no issue with anyone.

The Taliban militants have not commented regarding the report so far.

Incidents involving violence against women are not new as numerous incidents are reported usually in various provinces of the country which are mainly due to domestic violence as well as violence by the militants trying the women on adultery charges.

The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) in its report released late in November last year said “statistic of violence against women, obtained from the registered cases of violence against women during the first six months in 1394 exceeds 2579 cases.”

The report further added that figure was reported 2403 cases during the six months in 1393 which shows 7.32 percent increase in 1394, the last solar year.

Afghan intelligence thwart suicide attack plot in Aibak city
A suicide attack plot by the Taliban militants group was foiled in Aibak city, the provincial capital of northern Samangan province of Afghanistan.

The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said a suspect identified as Ashiqullah has been detained in connection to the attack plot.

According to a statement by NDS, Ashiqullah was appointed by a Taliban commander to carry out a suicide attack in a busy area of Aibak city using a motorcycle packed with explosives.

The statement further added that the suspect was arrested before he manage to reach to the area to carry out the suicide attack.

The anti-government armed militant groups including the Taliban insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.

The Taliban insurgents are active in a number of the remote districts of Samangan province and often carry out insurgency activities.

This comes as the group has been attempting to expand its activities in northern provinces as they have stepped up attacks in a number of the northern provinces, specifically in Kunduz province.

Fighter jets target Shaboobs in Puntland
BOSSASO, Somalia-Unknown fighter jets have conducted airstrikes on Al Shabaab hideouts in Galgala for the third night in a row according to residents, Garowe Online reports.

War planes have reportedly launched strikes from an aircraft carrier in the sea, pounding nomadic built-up vicinities and water wells by mistake.
Ruritania has an aircraft carrier? Oh right, why yes, of course they do!
A resident who spoke to VOA Somali Service on anonymity condition said, the jets were also seen striking militants in their bases along Golis Mountain Ranges.

It is not yet known who carried out the airstrikes but the United States has previously targeted Al Shabaab militants with drone attacks in central and southern Somalia. Al Shabaab terror group has not released any details on the surprise pummeling.

Shaboobs attack Army base outside Marko
Al Shabaab fighters have staged a massive attack on a military base belonging to Somali National Army (SNA) which locates outside the southern port city of Marko, 120Km south of Mogadishu.

Fighting has erupted at SNA outpost, 8 kilometers away from Marko after Al shabaab fighters and Govt troops have engaged in a fierce gunfire that last for several hours on Sunday morning.

The commanders of the Somali federal government troops at the raided base say they repulsed and fought off the Al shabaab attack. However, there were immediate reports of the casualties on both sides.

Al shabaab has stepped up attacks in Somalia, targeting army bases, hotels and government installations in Mogadishu and elsewhere in the country as Muslims fasting Holy month of Ramadan.

Suicide bomber hits 50 km behind Misratan front line
Tripoli, 12 June 2016:

A suicide bomber reportedly driving an ambulance devastated a Misratan militia field hospital today, killing a doctor, an ambulance driver and two patients while injuring nine others.

The attacker was able to penetrate 50 kilometres behind the lines because it would appear checkpoints assumed he was ferrying wounded from the battlefield.

Paramedics and patients were among the wounded. Part of the field hospital, including the theatre, were wrecked. Ambulances waiting to ferry injured fighters back to Misrata were also seriously damaged.

Two other suicide attacks, using seemingly innocent vehicles, were launched at forces pressing into Sirte but reportedly caused no casualties.

While the fighting in Sirte today has seen no further dramatic advances after the fall of the port on Friday, there have been unconfirmed reports that senior IS leaders have been filtering through the Misratan lines and heading south. As of Thursday, it is understood that Libyan patrol craft have been sitting off Sirte in an operation designed to block any seaborne evacuation.

Misrata’s Military Council today ordered that no military units would be permitted to pass through the checkpoints into the city without its approval and that of military intelligence.

Meanwhile Brigadier Mohamed Al-Ghasri, the spokesman for the Bunyan Marsous operations room, told Alwasat that he could confirm British and US experts were helping with logistics and intelligence.

Ghasri later appealed for supplies of modern weaponry to combat IS snipers who, he was reported to say, had rifles that could hit targets two kilometres away. He may have been misquoted. The longest recorded sniper kill, by a US serviceman in Afghanistan, was 913 metres.

ISIS Besieged in Sirte, Libya
Cairo-ISIS’s Libyan stronghold in the city of Sirte appeared to be on the verge of falling to militia fighters loyal to Libya’s new Western-backed government.

Pro-government forces made an unexpectedly rapid advance into the city and Libyan government officials predicted that ISIS militants would be completely routed “within days.”

ISIS’s resistance did not completely melt away and snipers in the center of the city continued to fire on advancing militia forces; however, a militia coalition spokesman said they were confident of victory.

“We think that Sirte will be liberated within days, not weeks,” Mohamed al-Gasri told Asharq Al-Awsat.” ISIS snipers are a concern to us because they shoot from long distances and that has hindered us in the battle inside the city.”

He confirmed that the operations carried out by al-Bunyan al-Marsous, which is a military offensive led by Libyan forces from Misrata, will continue.

The recapture of Sirte would be a major boost for the new Government of National Accord (GNA), a unity government formed after a U.N.-brokered deal among different factions.

Notably, Sirte, a port city on the Mediterranean coast, was best known as Muammar Gaddafi’s hometown before it fell into the hands of ISIS.

The extremist group has gained a foothold in the country in a power vacuum that hasn’t been filled since collapse of Gaddafi’s regime collapsed in 2011.

Moreover, forces allied with Libya’s unity government said Saturday they had recaptured the port in the militant stronghold of Sirte from ISIS militants who are surrounded inside the city.

The forces also retook a residential area in the east of Sirte, the main ISIS base in the North African country, a spokesman for the forces, Rida Issa said.

The fall of Sirte would be a major setback to the extremists who have also lost territory in Syria and Iraq where they have declared an Islamic “caliphate.”

[ALLAFRICA] The Nigerian Army on Saturday confirmed the killing of 10 suspected Boko Haram

Orlando bar shooter traveled to Saudi Arabia and UAE for religious pilgrimage
[Bus Insider] The Orlando nightclub gunman traveled to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates between 2011 and 2012 for the Muslim religious pilgrimage known as Umrah, CNN's Jim Sciutto reported Monday.

"Orlando shooter traveled to Saudi Arabia and UAE in 2011-12, US official tells me," Sciutto tweeted. "Saudi Arabia interior ministry adds that he went for the Umrah, the lesser religious pilgrimage that can take place any time of year."

The shooter, identified as Omar Mateen, killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in central Orlando early Sunday morning. Mateen called 911 sometime during his rampage and pledged allegiance to ISIS, mentioning the Boston Marathon bombers during the call.

The ISIS-affiliated news agency Amaq News broadcast a claim of responsibility from the terror group for the rampage late Sunday afternoon.

Orlando gunman 'was a regular at gay nightclub Pulse' before attack
Chris Callen, who performs under the name Kristina McLaughlin and is married to Mr Smith, told the Canadian Press he had also seen Mateen there. “He’s been going to this bar for at least three years.”

Both Callen and Smith say they stopped speaking to Mateen after he threatened them with a knife, apparently after someone made a joke about religion.

“He ended up pulling a knife,” Callen said. “He said if he ever messed with him again, you know how it’ll turn out.”

Was There More Than One Orlando Shooter?
[PalmBeachPost] Possibly salient quote from the article:
He said he heard another gun from a different direction, so he wonders if there were two gunmen.
There's also this, which seems odd:
“In a moment of desperation we were all crawling on the floor trying to find a place to exit. I looked to my right and I could see people going through some curtains. We were digging through the curtains and found a door.’’

But he said the door was blocked by a man. He wasn’t sure if it was a club security person or an accomplice to the gunmen.

“Fifty people were trying to jump over each other trying to exit the place. There was a guy holding the door and not letting us exit. He’s like ‘Stay inside, stay inside.’ As he is saying that, the shooter keeps getting closer and closer and the sound of the bullets is getting closer. Everyone starts to panic. People are getting trampled. Let us out, let us out!’’’

Gonzalez’ first thought was that it was a hate crime. “This guy is trying to prevent us from leaving. Maybe they’re working together,’’

Mateen pledged allegiance to ISIS, al-Baghdadi
From the scrolling CBS News updates.
A U.S. intel source tells CBS News that Mateen called 911 during the shooting from the bathroom. They called him back and that is when he pledged alliance to ISIS and al Baghdadi.

The source says he made two foreign trips, one in 2011 to Dubai and one to Saudi Arabia in 2012.

He was not on a current watch list. He was on the Terrorist Screening database when the FBI was questioning him. Source tells CBS News he was removed when the FBI closed their investigation.

The 2013 investigation began when Mateen told co-workers and others he knew the Tsarnaev brothers.

FBI agent Ronald Hopper said Sunday that Omar Mateen had been interviewed in 2013 and 2014. Hopper said agents first investigated Mateen after he made inflammatory comments to co-workers alleging possible ties to terrorists. Mateen was interviewed twice and, when investigators were unable to verify the details of his comments, the FBI closed the probe.

In 2014, the agency looked into potential ties connecting Mateen to Moner Mohammad Abusalha, the first American to carry out a suicide attack in Syria. Like Mateen, Abusalha lived in Fort Pierce, Florida. Hopper says agents determined that contact was minimal and did not constitute a substantive relationship or a threat at that time.

Mateen was 29 years old and born in New York. The FBI says he referred to the Islamic State in a 911 call before the slayings.

Omar's ex-wife was abused, terrified of him
The ex-wife of the 29-year-old man suspected of killing 50 people in a Orlando nightclub early Sunday said that he was violent and mentally unstable and beat her repeatedly while they were married.

The ex-wife said she met Omar Mateen online about eight years ago and decided to move to Florida and marry him. At first, the marriage was normal, she said, but then he became abusive.

“He was not a stable person,” said the ex-wife, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because she feared for her safety in the wake of the mass shooting. “He beat me. He would just come home and start beating me up because the laundry wasn’t finished or something like that.”

Mateen’s ex-wife said his family was from Afghanistan, but her ex-husband was born in New York. His family later moved to Florida.

Mateen’s ex-wife said she was having a difficult time when she first met him and decided to move to Florida to be with him. The two married in March 2009 and moved into a 2-bedroom condominium in Fort Pierce, Fla., that Mateen’s family owned.

“He seemed like a normal human being,” she said, adding that he wasn’t very religious and worked out at the gym often. She said in the few months they were married he gave no signs of having fallen under the sway of radical Islam. She said he owned a small-caliber handgun and worked as a guard at a nearby facility for juvenile delinquents.

“He was a very private person,” she said.

The ex-wife said her parents intervened when they learned Mateen had assaulted her. Her father confirmed the account and said that the marriage lasted only a few months. Her parents flew down to Fort Pierce and pulled her out of the house, leaving all her belongings behind. The ex-wife she said never had contact with Mateen again despite attempts by him to reach her.
Smart parents. That's what you have to do when your daughter is married to a crazy abuser -- get out, leave the stuff, and never, ever allow contact ever again.
“They literally saved my life,” she said of her parents.

According to Florida court records, the two formally divorced in 2011.

After learning about what happened in Orlando, she said: “I am still processing. I am definitely lucky.”

Omar Mateen was known to FBI
We're not connecting the dots, we're just shoving them really close together...
Omar Mateen of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, came to the attention of federal authorities twice prior to being identified as the gunman in the Orlando gay nightclub mass shooting, a senior law enforcement source told The Daily Beast.

Mateen killed 53 people and shot more than 100 in total at the Pulse gay nightclub early Sunday morning, in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

The senior law enforcement source reports that Mateen became a person of interest in 2013 and again in 2014. The Federal Bureau of Investigation at one point opened an investigation into Mateen but subsequently closed the case when it produced nothing that appeared to warrant further investigation.

“He’s a known quantity,” the source said. “He’s been on the radar before.”

The senior law enforcement source told The Daily Beast that Mateen was born in New York and was married for a time to a woman from New Jersey. That woman told the Washington Post that he repeatedly abused her during their marraige, which lasted from April 2009 to July 2011.

“He was not a stable person,” the ex-wife said. “He beat me. He would just come home and start beating me up because the laundry wasn’t finished or something like that.”

Mateen's parent are from Afghanistan but he was not very religious, she said, adding that he "seemed like a normal human being."

Mateen's father Mir Seddique told NBC News that the sight of two men kissing angered his son.

“We are saying we are apologizing for the whole incident,” the father added. “We weren’t aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock like the whole country.”

The attack, he said, “has nothing to do with religion.” However, Pete Williams of NBC News reported that Mateen called 911 and swore his allegiance to al-Baghdadi of ISIS before the shooting massacre.
Apparently Omar and Daddy weren't close...
FBI Agent Ron Hopper told reporters Mateen may have had leanings toward Islamic extremism. The law enforcement source told The Daily Beast there is no immediate indication that Mateen had any direct connection to ISIS. Rep. Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Mateen had pledged allegiance to ISIS, according to officials from the Department of Homeland Security.

Mateen had a valid firearms license in Florida and worked as a security guard at a facility for juvenile deliquents.

Pak-Afghan forces exchange fire at Torkham
PESHAWAR: Situation was again tense on Sunday at Torkham border crossing as Pakistani and Afghan forces exchanged fire over the contentious fencing issue.

"Afghan Security forces resorted to unprovoked firing on Pakistani side at Torkham Gate. A Pakistani soldier was injured due to Afghan firing," said the statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The incident occurred at Shamshad mountain, near the border crossing, an official source told DawnNews.

The ISPR statement adds that, in order to check movement of terrorists through Torkham, Pakistan is constructing a gate on own side of the border as a necessity to check unwanted and illegal movement.

Earlier in May, the Torkham border crossing was reopened after Pakistan and Afghanistan reached an understanding to reopen it.

The decision to reopen the border crossing was made at a meeting between Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and Afghan Ambassador Omar Zakhilwal.

The previously unscheduled meeting was arranged as old irritants in the bilateral relationship — rows over border management and terrorism concerns — resurfaced ahead of the upcoming meeting of the Quadrilateral Coordination Group, a four-nation initiative for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.

Pakistan had closed the border crossing after Afghan authorities, who do not recognise the Durand Line as an international border, reacted to an attempt to fence the crossing for “controlling unauthorised cross-border movements”.

The move left thousands of people stranded on both sides of the border, besides halting the movement of cargo vehicles.

Kashmir Korpse Kount
At least four Indian policemen were wounded, two of them critically, Sunday after militants attacked their vehicle in restive Indian-controlled Kashmir, Xinhua reported citing police. The attack was carried out near Qazigund town of Kulgam district, about 72 km south of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

"This evening militants fired upon a police vehicle at village Bonigam here, wounding four policemen," a police official posted in Qazigund told Xinhua. "Of the wounded policemen, the condition of two was stated to be critical."

Police officials said the policemen were on a visit to the village in connection with some local dispute, when militants attacked them. The wounded policemen were immediately removed to nearest medical facility, wherefrom they were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.

"All the four policemen had rounds of bullet wounds but condition of two of them was critical," a health official posted at trauma hospital Qazigund said.

Police officials said the policemen also fired in retaliation following the attack and the exchange between the two sides continued for about five minutes.

Authorities rushed in police and paramilitary troopers to the village to nab militants. However, none was arrested until last reports came in. Reports said militants managed to flee from the spot after carrying out the attack.
As if they'd never been there...
This is the third militant attack in past nine days in the southern towns. Earlier this month militants attacked a convoy of Indian border guards in Bijbehara town killing three Border Security Force personnel and wounding nine others.

Subsequently on June 5, militants shot dead two policemen at bus station in Anantnag town.

Last month four policemen were killed in Srinagar and Pulwama and militants also snatched away two service rifles of the slain policemen.

A local commander of region's indigenous militant outfit -- Hizbul Mujahideen -- Burhan Wani in a video message has warned of intensifying attacks on policemen.

[ARA News] DUHOK – US-led coalition’s warplanes on Sunday bombed a weapons storage centre and tactical units for the radical group of Islamic State (ISIS) near the city of Mosul in Iraqi’s northwestern Nineveh province.

A major ISIS weapons store in Mosul was hit with two airstrikes. “Subsequent to the raids, huge explosions took place inside the store where ISIS was keeping a large deal of ammunition and weapons,” media activist Abdullah al-Malla told ARA News in Mosul. “The weapons warehouse was destroyed completely.”

“At least 12 ISIS militants who have been guarding the warehouse were killed in the bombardment on Sunday,” al-Malla reported, citing an ISIS official.

The coalition’s air forces also hit ISIS positions the village of Haj Ali, destroying nine rocket launchers and two tactical units.

“The US-led fighter jets also targeted ISIS fighting positions in the Qayyara district in northwestern Iraq, killing and wounding over twenty militants,” Iraqi media activist Haydar al-Khalidi told ARA News.

The strikes coincided with clashes between the Kurdish Peshmerga forces and ISIS fighters in the Khazir district.

“The Peshmergas were able to push ISIS back in Khazir and retook several villages and farms in the district,” Peshmerga officer Izzaddin Wanki told ARA News. “This progress shows the key role of the Peshmerga in the ground operations against ISIS in Nineveh province. Two Israeli teens hurt in E. Jerusalem rock-throwing
With Palestinian travel shut down and a massive troop presence on the streets because of the holiday, it's no wonder not much happened.
[IsraelTimes] Two Israeli teens were maimed late Sunday in a rock-throwing attack on a bus in East Jerusalem. According to Magen David Adom medics, the two, ages 16 and 18, were lightly hurt when thrown rocks smashed window panes, causing glass shards to hit their heads.

The Egged No. 3 line was traveling in the Wadi Joz area near Rockefeller Junction toward the Old City’s Western Wall holy site when it was attacked. The bus was reportedly packed with passengers. A few suffered from shock.

Earlier Sunday, an Israeli woman was lightly hurt when her vehicle was pelted with stones near Beit Anun in the southern West Bank.

On Sunday morning, an Israeli woman and her infant child were reportedly attacked by an Arab man in the Jerusalem neighborhood of French Hill, Channel 2 reported. The suspected assailant expeditiously departed at a goodly pace but was apprehended by Israeli security forces shortly thereafter at a checkpoint.

The victims’ conditions were not immediately reported.

The assailant was enjugged

Southeast Asia
Abu Sayyaf kills second Canadian hostage
The Abu Sayyaf followed through today on its threat and killed Canadian captive Robert Hall as the deadline for paying $8-million ransom passed. Rebel spokesman Abu Raami said, "There is no extension. We have talked this over and over among our leadership and all decided no extension."

The terrorists had demanded P600 million for the release of Hall, Norwegian Kjartan Sekkingstad and Filipina Marites Flor. Hall had been held since Sept. 21, 2015 and is the second Canadian slain after John Ridsdel, who was killed in late April. There is no word on the fate of the remaining hostage Sekkingstad.

His execution comes after Prime Minister Trudeau repeated at the G7 summit in Japan that Canada will not pay ransoms to win the freedom of hostages.

The captives were seized by masked gunmen last September near Davao City and transported more than 500 kilometers west to Abu Sayyaf stronghold Jolo Island, where a bounty of more than $30 million was initially demanded for each of what were then four hostages.

A military offensive against Abu Sayyaf that began before Ridsdel's death on the same island in Mindanao where the Islamist group is believed to be holding the hostages has apparently stalled after initially retaking some lost territory.

Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte had a conversation with Trudeau in which Duterte said he apologized for Hall's abduction. Duterte is "the only person with the added leverage in Mindanao, through his connections with different rebel groups, to help the hostages. He has given Canada assurances that he will do his utmost to help the Canadian hostage," said political scientist Richard Heydarian of Manila's De La Salle University.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian rebels delay Manbij operations
[ARA News] KOBANE – The SDF-led Manbij Military Council on Monday said that they have completely besieged the ISIS-held city of Manbij in northern Syria, but will wait with entering the city immediately to ensure the safety of civilians. Tens of thousands of civilians are trapped in the city, and ISIS does not allow them to leave to safety.

“After the Manbij Military Council [of the Syrian Democratic Forces] achieved several victories of the countryside and besieging the city completely, and controlling the supply routes of ISIS terrorists, and advanced plans to avoid endangering civilians, we assure that we will guarantee their safety,” the council said.

According to senior Kurdish official Ilham Ahmed, co-head of the Syrian Democratic Council, “Manbij is now surrounded, and the civilians now appeal to the SDF [Syrian Democratic Forces] to come and finish the oppression of ISIS.”

At least 69 ISIS fighters were killed in renewed clashes with SDF near Manbij.

“We heard that the terrorist organization of ISIS is holding civilians as hostage and using them as human shields, and we ask our people to avoid ISIS locations and places near the clashes. We are careful not to raid the city after its encirclement, because we are care about the safety of civilians,” the council said. “We follow international law, principles and standards, but we vow our people in Manbij that we will continue the operation by the name of martyr Faisal Abu Layla [top SDF commander killed in battle for Manbij] until we liberate Manbij and the countryside completely from ISIS,” the council said.

Speaking to ARA News, Kurdish official Idris Nasan said: “There are still 10,000 to 20,000 civilians inside Manbij, and there are more than 2,000 ISIS fighters. If they [SDF] enter Manbij now, they will lose a lot of fighters.”

“Moreover, this will hurt a lot of civilians, and the SDF don’t want to lose fighters or civilians, that’s why they are besieging Manbij city, cleaning the countryside and cut any chance of supplies for ISIS,” he said.

“They will intervene in a suitable time, but they will not rush it and enter from weak points until they control the entire city. Manbij is a big city, and not easy to control in 1 or 2 days,” Nasan added.

Meanwhile, heavy clashes continued in the vicinity of the Manbij grain silos near the village of Hamden–about 3 kilometers from the city of Manbij.

Moreover, the Kurdish Red Crescent set up a health centre in the town of Abu Qalqal, 12 kilometers from Tishrin dam, on the demand of the health committee of the Manbij civilian council to provide medical services to civilians in the liberated areas near Manbij city.

The US-led coalition against ISIS thinks that the operation to take the city will be difficult. “Manbij will be a big test. It will be one of the most strategic blows to ISIL [ISIS] yet because it is their hub of foreign fighters. It is their main kind of access route from Raqqa,” said US envoy Brett mcGurk. “And so I suspect they will fight for it. But we feel pretty good about the plan — not only the military plan, but importantly the post-ISIL plan.”

Terror Networks
The Bulldozer -- Captured ISIS Executioner
[VENTURESAFRICA] A member of the Chopping Committee of ISIS, popularly known as "The Bulldozer" has reportedly been captured by the Syrian Army. The masked Jihadist, who is usually dressed in black is responsible for several executions in the horrific ISIS videos. He was pictured lying half naked and writhing in pain on a truck that was driven by the Syrian troops.

Last month, ISIS published pictures of the Bulldozer beheading two suspected blasphemers in front of hundreds of men and young boys. Images show the terrorist leaping into the air before bringing the large sword crashing down onto the neck of his helpless victims. In a final picture, the bloody corpses of the headless men strewn across the courtyard as his fellow Lions of Islam disperse the gathered crowds.

How he got the nickname "Bulldozer"

In 2014, the ISIS executioner who weighs 127kg was pictured carrying a five foot long Browning machine gun which weighs 52kg. It was an unusual sight as the weapon which has been described as an anti-aircraft gun is usually mounted on fixed structures. He was immediately given the nickname after the release of this picture.

The Bulldozer has a range of tools for performing his duty. He has been recorded executing his victims with a three foot blade, a large piece of rock and a knife. Last month, in footage titled "Crush Your Enemies," Bulldozer hacks off the head of one prisoner with a knife, before placing the severed head on the corpse’s back. A second soldier was tied to a chair and repeatedly shot, while a third was murdered by having a large boulder dropped on his head.

Suspected to be an Iranian national, the Bulldozer’s real name is Mohammed Emwazi. Last year, he chopped off the hand and foot of a 14 ‐year old Syrian boy for refusing to join ISIS. He was also responsible for the execution of a 15-year old boy, whose only offence was listening to Western pop music.

Brr. There is a reason why kipling wrote this last stanza of "Young British Soldier" :

When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An' go to your Gawd like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,

The Beatings Will Continue: Iraqi and Syrian Edtions
ISIS executes 19 of its elements for desertion in battlefield

(IraqiNews.com) al-Anbar – An informed source in Fallujah said on Sunday, that the so-called ISIS had executed 19 of its elements on charges of deserting the battlefield in the area of al-Shuhada.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said in a statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The ISIS terrorist gangs executed 19 of its elements who fled from the last battles against the security forces in the neighborhoods of al-Shuhada and al-Nassaf in central Fallujah,” adding that, “This came through the issuance of the so-called [ISIS] legitimate court a death sentence against [them].”

The source explained, “The execution was carried out by firing a bullet into the head.”

200 civilians arrive to Iraqi Kurdistan after escaping ISIS in Fallujah

[ARA News] KIRKUK – The Kurdistan Region of Iraq has received more than 200 Arab civilians who have escaped the mounting violence in Fallujah city, where fighting continued between the Islamic State (ISIS) and Iraqi forces, officials said on Monday.

“The Kurdish Peshmerga forces secured the entrance of more than 200 Iraqi civilians into the Kurdistan Region in the weekend. Those people have escaped Fallujah looking for a safe haven, and Kurdistan as always opened its doors to shelter the displaced,” Peshmerga official Izzaddin Wanki told ARA News in Kirkuk.

The source added that most of the displaced were women and children, and they were registered by the Peshmerga at the Makhmur district in northern Iraq, before being transferred to camps in the Kurdistan Region.

“Dozens of people arrive to the Peshmerga security checkpoints around the Kurdistan Region everyday, after fleeing ISIS-held Iraqi areas, looking for shelter. Our forces are more than happy to help those civilians and assist them to find a safe haven away from ISIS atrocities,” the Peshmerga official said.

“We are aware of the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in areas under ISIS control. Eliminating this terror group would bring peace to the entire region, that’s why we are determined to continue fighting ISIS alongside with our allies until liberating all Iraqi areas occupied by the group,” Wanki told ARA News.

ISIS troops raped dozens of wimmin in Manbij

[ARA News] ALEPPO – Extremists of the Islamic State (ISIS) have raped dozens of Syrian women in the countryside of Manbij in the northern Aleppo province, local sources and activists reported on Monday.

Before their withdrawal from the countryside of Manbij under heavy bombardment by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), ISIS jihadis broke into civilians’ houses in dozens of villages around Manbij, killing the men and raping the women.

“Over more than two years of their control over Manbij, ISIS jihadis were generally careful with their behaviour towards the people in a bid to gain popular support. However, since the SDF troops started their campaign and made gains against the Islamic State, the group’s members in Manbij started punishing civilians collectively after accusing them of supporting the US-backed SDF,” media activist Nassir Taljbini told ARA News in Manbij.

“They have killed hundreds of men and raped dozens of women in the past few days, especially in the western countryside of Manbij, before withdrawing from most of the villages there,” Taljbini reported.

One of the victims who spoke to ARA News under the name Um Mohamed said that ISIS militants broke into their house, killed her husband and raped her and her two daughters. “They entered the house like barbarians. They shot my husband and raped me and my daughters. We’re still in shock after what happened. I have nothing to say to describe it… a nightmare,” she said.

Eyewitnesses told ARA News that ISIS militants also burned a number of houses in Manbij western villages before withdrawing.

“It was like an act of revenge against the people of the area,” a villager of Oum Mayyal said, speaking on condition of anonymity.

The Syrian Democratic Forces have liberated about 90 villages in Manbij countryside over the past weeks. The fighting has now moved to the city of Manbij, the last stronghold of ISIS in the district.
