[FOX5DC] Two more victims have come forward in another violent attack at a Metro station. It is the latest in a string of violent assaults happening in the transit system.
"I don't know exactly what was happening," said one of the victims. "I heard my girlfriend screaming."
It was 15 seconds of terror for a D.C. couple after they were attacked by a group of teenagers on Metro.
"I think there were about ten kids who were just all attacking us," said the girlfriend.
It was 9:30 p.m. Saturday night on January 2. The couple was waiting for a train at the Metro Center stop after spending a night at the movies. They were sitting on a bench when he was sucker-punched from behind and suffered a loss of vision.
"It all happened very quickly, and then they were just hitting us both in the face and head," said the female victim.
They said the attack was unprovoked.
"We literally said nothing to them," said the boyfriend.

So the perps ran the father off with a gun, then they claim any alleged sex with the daughter (which the attorneys denied happened) was consensual.
Riiiiiight . . . .
The devil will have a few pineapples waiting for you when your turn comes.
[NYPOST] A snake thief smuggled a 2-foot-long python from a Portland pet store by stuffing it down his pants. "Is that a two foot python in your pants or are ya happy to see me?"
Sgt. Greg Stewart said no arrests have been made in Friday's theft. But Christin Bjugan, an owner of A to Z pet store, said video surveillance has helped viewers and police detectives identify a suspect, and she expects to have the snake returned soon.
"We know who did it," she said Monday. "We know where he lives, we know where he works, we know all about him and his girlfriend. We're just waiting to get our snake back."
The video shows the suspect with a blue-haired woman who appeared to be in on the theft. He handed her some keys before taking the snake from a tank and shuffling out of the store.
Bjugan says it was "pretty gutsy" for the man to put the python down his pants, and potentially a bad move because it was close to feeding day.

Pythons have one-way teeth and strong jaws, I believe. Unfortunately, the situation didn't end up as a winner on America's Funniest Home Videos.
[HOLLYWOODREPORTER] Crash. Burn. Scorch mark on the road to hell.
She can't be a curious and active 17-year-old girl. Instead she's gotta be all growed up and a detective on the NYPD, not on the River Heights police force, nor an attorney (practicing or otherwise) like her father was.
They have taken a fine stew of adventure, pluck, and character, and made it porridge.

Along time ago I read a short story by a Russian author called "Thee Making of the Soviet Robinson" . The plot invovled an author trying to write a version of Robinson Crusoe for a children's magazine. The editors keep asking for more characters since he will need to be told what he must do. Life imitates art.

They could just have easily written an entirely original series for such a character. But then, that's not the point of this exercise.

Is the world crying out for a new version of Nancy Drew right now?
All I can think of is they probably had an ethnic girl detective show and changed the main characters name to get a few headlines and hope to get a leg up on ratings.

My work is done.
Sounds like the government is a bit upset that Spiccoli found him whereas the entire Mexican government couldn't. It's a Daily Mail article. Here are the highlights from the header.
Government spokesman Eduardo Sanchez said Guzman has been moved eight times at the Altiplano prison after he was recaptured on Friday
The prison also now has 24-hour video surveillance of Guzman including all parts of his cell. Except for one little corner of the bathroom which won't be a problem at all, no way...
Mexican officials said they are investigating the meeting that the then-fugitive had with actor Sean Penn and actress Kate del Castillo. Government spokesman said it is the possibility of illegal acts, rather than specific people, that authorities in Mexico are looking into.

I would imagine that a lot of people want a piece of Sean Penn. Being a wanted attention 'ho may be bad for his health.
