[DAILYSIGNAL] President Barack Obama Jedi mind meld... is deliberating an executive order that would escalate background check requirements in a revived gun control push following the deadly shootings at Umpqua Community College last week.
The proposed measure would enable the president to sidestep Congress to require anyone who surpasses a set number of gun sales to acquire a federal license and conduct background checks on customers purchasing firearms, according to The Washington Post.
The change would broaden the definition of those considered a firearms dealer under federal law, encompassing a broad number of people who are currently exempt.

ve sevral friends who lost their FFL because they were operating from a room in their house and didn't have an actual store. The BATF changed to this requirement, If I remember correctly, at the direction of Obama's White House. Is he planning on changing it once again? So now selling from your house is OK?

As new details about Hillary Clinton's email servers trickles out, the number of potential criminal violations she has committed continues to pile up.
Former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani now estimates that Clinton has run afoul of 13-15 federal statutes. The list potentially includes the improper transmission and handling of confidential information, mail fraud statutes, wire fraud statutes, and obstruction of justice.
"The case is getting so strong now that it's going to be really hard to have an intellectually honest decision and walk away from it," the former federal prosecutor claimed on Thursday's Hannity adding that, "she has also proven that she is completely grossly negligent in the handling of sensitive information, and we want someone like this for President of the United States?"
As we reported earlier this week, Hillary Clinton is reportedly being advised to seek the services of a criminal defense attorney. With the case against her mounting, she might be wise to heed such advice.
Here's a brief rundown of some of the laws the former Secretary of State has potentially run afoul of:
Unauthorized Removal And Retention Of Classified Documents Or Material
18 U.S.C. § 1924
Class: A Misdemeanor
Possible Penalty: Imprisonment for 1 year and/or $100,000 fine
Text: "Knowingly removing materials containing classified information of the United States with the intent to retain said info at an unauthorized location without the authority to do so"
Gathering, Transmitting Or Losing Defense Information
18 U.S.C. § 793
Class: Felony
Possible Penalty: Imprisonment for 10 years and/or $250,000 fine
Text: "Allowing [by means of gross negligence] any document relating to the national defense to be removed from its proper place of custody or destroyed --or- willfully retaining unauthorized documents relating to national defense and failing to deliver them to the United States employee entitled to receive them --or- failure to report that unauthorized documents relating to national defense were removed from their proper place of custody or destroyed"
Concealment, Removal, Or Mutilation Generally
18 U.S.C. § 2071
Class: Felony
Possible Penalty: Imprisonment of no more than 3 years, a fine, or both
Text: "Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same"
Destruction, Alteration, Or Falsification Of Records In Federal Investigations And Bankruptcy
18 U.S.C. § 1519
Class: Felony
Possible Penalty: Imprisonment of no more than 20 years, a fine, or both
Text: "Whoever knowingly alters, destroys, mutilates, conceals, covers up, falsifies, or makes a false entry in any record, document, or tangible object with the intent to impede, obstruct, or influence the investigation or proper administration of any matter within the jurisdiction of any department or agency of the United States"

It just takes one federal prosecutor. Also, the statute of limitations is longer than the time left in the bammer's administration.

Zero could probably pardon her in advance, like Ford did Nixon, but he has no reason to - in fact his people are probably providing the leaks that are getting her in the news over it now.

This is the ValJar touch at its best, drag the whole thing out, incrementally making the Beast unelectable and setting her new puppet, Uncle Joe, upas the white Knight to rescue the party. Then Champ makes a nice speech about a lifetime of service but bad judgement and pardons her. The truth never goes to court, the stories she could tell are silenced in return for no prosecution, the CGI foundation money train stops, creating a new opening for influence for a post-presidential Obama foundation, and ValJar remains defacto Chief Executive. The death of a thousand cuts never damages the Democrat/progressive fairy tale and Iran and the Ruskies own the Middle East, the US military is emasculated to move money to pay for the entitlement state, and them pesky Jews get dealt with by Iran. Sounds like a spy movie, but it's not ...
Guess who's coming to state dinners and other official White House functions as first lady if Hillary wins the presidency?
The top two contenders on Clinton's very secret potential first lady list are her close aide and controversial confidante, Huma Abedin, and popular former first daughter, Chelsea Clinton-Mezvinsky, Daily Mail Online can report exclusively.
A Clinton campaign source revealed that Chelsea and Huma 'are being seriously discussed' for the first lady spot.
'Hillary firmly believes both Huma and Chelsea can handle the duties of the first lady with aplomb,' said the source. 'But in the end she also knows it can be as big a decision to make as selecting her vice presidential running mate because the personality and image of the first lady can be a key to the success of an administration.
'Just look what Jackie Kennedy did for the Kennedy White House, or what Nancy did for the Reagan presidency. In the end Hillary knows it's a big decision, and she knows how much America loves its first ladies.'
Another well-placed Clinton source, confident in Hillary becoming the next commander in chief, told Daily Mail Online: 'Secretary Clinton certainly knows how important the role of first lady can play in an administration because, after all, she's been there twice, first in Arkansas and then [in] the White House.'
Those on Team Chelsea believe there is no one better to fill the first lady's shoes than her arrogantconceitedinsufferablenastyvenomousspoiledentitledbitchy super smart daughter, who has worked so closely with her mother over the years and filed in for her with Bill when Hillary was running for the New York senate seat.
But a Team Huma insider quotes the bible, 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb,' - the blood shed in battle is a stronger bond than the genetic one. And Huma is certainly Hillary's General - and one with panache.
There's also the lovers bond...
'Of course, there's always chief of staff.'
'It's an important decision for her to make. She's seriously thinking about it, and her clear choices now are Chelsea on one hand, and Huma on the other. She trusts and dearly loves both of them.'
But do the women trust each other? Both are fiercely loyal to Hillary, but they are highly competitive, power-hungry riding Hillary's coattails.
Conservative author Ed Klein, in his new book, Unlikeable, describes Chelsea as 'entitled, bratty and domineering'. He alleges that Chelsea has a 'lacerating temper...Chelsea has grown up with parents with hot tempers,' he claimed, adding, 'She's as clever an analytical at arguing both sides of a question as her dad, and she's as volatile as her mom.'
Abedin is no less ambitious - and served Hillary since 1996. At a celebration before Abedin's wedding to Anthony Weiner, Clinton said in a speech, 'I only have one daughter. But if I had a second daughter, it would [be] Huma.'
'Hillary owes her, big time,' says one Washington insider. 'Of course she could be [made] Chief of Staff and leave the First Lady duty to her daughter.' Hey now... more @ link

How about we leave the choice to somebody else and let Thunder Thighs collect her Social Security
[Investors Bus] Bill Clinton apparently knew as president that Iran was behind the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing but suppressed the evidence. It's one of an array of failures arguing against another President Clinton.
A half dozen Saudi Arabians involved in the terrorist attack targeting U.S. Air Force personnel housing 19 years ago, killing 19 of our servicemen and injuring hundreds, told the FBI they got their passports from Iran and reported to a high-ranking Iranian general, according to the Washington Times.
Former FBI Director Louis Freeh confirmed to the paper that when he presented the evidence implicating Iran to the White House, they brushed it aside, calling it mere "hearsay." He was asked not to disseminate the information because the administration sought closer relations with the terrorist regime in Tehran.
Like President Obama today, "They were looking to change the relationships with the regime there," Freeh told the Times.
The newspaper cited a now-declassified top-secret cable from 1999 in which Clinton told then-Iranian President Mohammad Khatami of "credible evidence that members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps along with members of Lebanese and Saudi Hizballah were directly involved in the planning and execution of the terrorist bombing in Saudi Arabia of the Khobar Towers military resident complex."
President Clinton had altered U.S. policy toward Iran in the hope that the new president would change Tehran's terrorist ways, and his White House publicly suggested Iran's role in Khobar was uncertain.
In 2006, there was enough evidence publicly available for families of Khobar victims to win a U.S. civil suit holding Iran liable for hundreds of millions of dollars.
Wayne White, a State Department intelligence officer from 1979 to 2005 who was investigating Khobar, told a diplomatic oral history project that intelligence on the attack "had been cut off by Sandy Berger," Clinton's national security adviser. Berger was later convicted in an attempt to smuggle classified documents regarding terrorism out of the National Archives.
This tops off a long list of failures for Bill Clinton in combating terrorism. They include:
a. The 1993 World Trade Center bombing, killing six and injuring about 1,000, which brought jihadists' attention to the twin towers as targets, prefiguring the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
b. The 1995 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia bombing of a U.S. military training center, killing five Americans and two Indians.
c. The 1998 al-Qaida bombings of the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing 224 people and wounding about 5,000.
d. The failed U.S. bombing of sites in Afghanistan in an effort to kill Osama bin Laden, which many at the time suspected was merely an attempt to distract from Clinton's Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.
e. The 2000 USS Cole bombing in Yemen, killing 17 U.S. sailors and injuring 37 others. Richard Miniter, in his book "Losing Bin Laden," documents how, during the Clinton administration, then-Rep. Bill McCollum, a Florida Republican, founded and chaired the House of Representatives' Taskforce on Terrorism. He eventually gathered evidence from the Mujahideen who fought the Soviets in Afghanistan, and who knew bin Laden when he fought with them.
"They emphasized that he wanted to murder Americans," Miniter wrote, and that he was tied to assassinations and terror operations in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen.
And, they said, the wealthy Saudi terror master was becoming more powerful and well-connected.
"We knew that it was just a matter of time before we saw a major terrorist attack on America," McCollum said. But "McCollum couldn't believe that the Clinton administration would ignore such serious intelligence that he had developed about a real and present threat."
It's fair to ask: How much different would a Hillary Clinton war on terror be?

Oh look - it's 'Charles P. Pierce', a former Boston Globe buttboy who took one of the buyouts back in 2007 / 2008 and bailed on that sinking ship. This guy, like Drew Magary's column from a few days ago, simply demonstrate the emotionally unhinged nature of many U.S. leftists.
