[The Guardian] The investigation into the deaths of a ghost-hunting couple in Nevada has determined a male roommate of the woman was fatally shot in the head in a Reno home several hours before police found the paranormal investigators in a barricaded apartment.
Debra and Mark Constantino had appeared on the Travel Channel series Ghost Adventures, including episodes shot at the Mustang Ranch brothel near Reno. They were found dead on Tuesday at their adult daughter's apartment across town in Sparks, after a two-hour standoff that ended when a Swat team burst through the door to find their bodies.

Contrary to the Artic, the Constantino's had met + knew each other much earlier than 2012.
[Breitbart] On September 23, a scrapyard worker at Tucson Iron & Metal was killed after the torch he was using caused a 500-pound bomb to detonate.
The bomb was an MK82, which the General Dynamics website describes as the smallest of the MK80 "tactical" bombs used by the U.S. Air Force & Navy.
According to Tucson News Now, "bomb squad investigators and ordnance experts [said] the explosion involved a highly explosive substance that would normally be used in conjunction with a primer to cause the bomb to explode." The primer that is normally used to cause the bomb to explode had been removed, so the explosion was "significantly smaller than what would've happened" had the bomb exploded in its normal capacity.
Nevertheless, the explosion was large enough to kill 46-year-old Daniel Wright around 12:45 pm when he cut into the bomb.

...Something does not sound right. Let me explain:
*The Mk8X series is filled with Tritonal, a highly stable and heat resistant filler that is engineered to go boom only when we specifically tell it to and then only after a certain series of steps have been performed in a specific fashion.
*Said fashion is thus: When assembling an 8X (BTW, the Mk81 250GP is the smallest of the 8X series, not the 82) you install a booster cup into the fuze well, then install the fuze itself. This is the 'explosive train', a series of progressively larger explosions that will set off the Tritonal filler. Cutting into the bomb body (and I know that we should not speak ill of the dead, but I refuse to believe this guy had no idea what he was looking at) should not have set off the filler - and if it did, and roughly two hundred pounds of filler let go, you wouldn't have anyone around to try and explain what happened. The lethal blast/frag radius for a Mk82 is IIRC two thousand feet, and you don't just get a 'partial' explosion - if any of it goes, it all goes.
* What COLOR was this bomb? If it was green with a yellow band around the nose, that's a live weapon. If it's overall light blue or green with a blue band, that's an inert practice round - but if that was the case, somebody made a horrifying mistake somewhere. I'd also point out that there are stamps on the bomb case indicating what it is (though it's at least understandable that a civilian didn't know to look for those), and it's supposed to be stenciled (at least 1/2" white or yellow letters) as well ('BOMB, MK82 500LB GP'along with two or three more lines indicating where/when it was made). Are we being told that NONE of this was on the bomb in question?
So - what did happen? There's a LOT wrong with this story based on the facts we have, and I will be paying close attention to what comes next.

I wonder if instead of cutting into a MK82 he was cutting up a gas cylinder to make a bell. Said cylinder still having acetylene in it. There's a guy a coupled of blocks away from me with bellls like that.
[Guardian] Authorities said the rapper Fetty Wap was injured in a motorcycle crash in his northern New Jersey hometown on Saturday.
Paterson police director Jerry Speziale said the 25-year-old Wap was being treated at a hospital for undisclosed injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car. Wap's injuries were not considered life-threatening.
The crash was under investigation and no summonses were immediately issued. The woman driving the car was not injured, and her name was not released.
Wap, who was born Willie Maxwell, has had a lot of success in the past year with three Top-10 songs, including the hit Trap Queen, which peaked at No2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
His debut album, Fetty Wap, was released on Friday.

[NATION.PK] HARARE - Energy-starved Zim-bob-weans were told on Thursday to brace for worsening blackouts due to electricity generation shortfalls, decreased imports and break-downs at the country's major power stations.
The Zim-bob-we Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) said low water levels at the main Kariba hydro-power station, generation constraints at the Hwange thermal station and limited power imports have massively depleted supplies.
"The power shortfall is being managed through scheduled power outages (power cuts) in order to balance the power supply available and demand," ZETDC said in a statement in the local paper.

Same story as the one below -- please check before posting, guys! These are Ahmaddis, a late 19th century Sunni heresy that gave up both the hard jihad of the sword and the soft jihad of the law. The Ahmaddis are good guys.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A blaze broke out Saturday at a London mosque which claims to be the largest in western Europe. Ten fire trucks were sent to fight the blaze at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in Morden, southwest London. The smoke could be seen across the city. The report doesn't say anything about the likelihood of arson, but it's an Ahmadi mosque, not mainstream Sunni or Shia.
One man, said to be in his 40s, was taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation, London Ambulance Service said.
The mosque was built for the Ahmadiyya Muslim community to provide people with a meeting place and venue to hold social religious events. The 5.2-acre (2.1-hectare) complex was completed in 2003. There is space for at least 10,500 people to pray, according to the mosque's website.

Let's leave this problem to the "locals". Locals in this case being Russians. Arson? Certainly not. Whatever gave you that idea?
And explain to me again why we want to impede Russia from petting a burning dog in Syria? Because they might stay? Yeah?
Maybe that worries John Kerry, but it doesn't worry me. The SOVEREIGNTY of Syria is a bucket of sh*t. The Russians are siting standing and soon to be face down in that very bucket.
Once they are in then you tell me how easy it is going to be for them to get out ? Russia has just shoved its pretty face in the burning dog's ass. We should give them a drum roll and watch.
We should all work for Peace? Why? Moslems are killing Moslems. And now Russia wants to buy a steaming fly covered graveyard? Let them lay down in it.
Relations between Poland and Russia have never come easy. There was the little dust-up that started in 1939, with massacres and purges thereafter, the Solidarity Movement, the Polish Pope the KGB r=tried to wack with a Turkish crackpot. And all that was before most of today's folks were even born.
Poland has repeatedly rejected Moscow's control Moscow's control and embraced the West, joining NATO and the European Union. But tensions have been especially high since Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, a step that Warsaw has strongly condemned.
The Russian ambassador sparked outage on Friday for putting some of the blame for the start of World War II on Poland. The
Russian Ambassador described the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 as an act of self-defense, not aggression. "Polish policy led to the disaster in September 1939, because during the 1930s Poland repeatedly blocked the formation of a coalition against Hitler's Germany," Andreev said in an interview with the private TVN station. "Poland was therefore partly responsible for the disaster which then took place." In the sense that Poland still existed in 1939, I guess that fact made them 'partly responsible'.
For those of you who slept through history class --
World War II began after Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union agreed to a pact in 1939 that included a secret provision to carve up Poland and other parts of Eastern Europe. Germany soon invaded Poland from the West, which was followed by a Soviet invasion from the east more than two weeks later. Millions of Poles were killed in the war. The Commies waited over two weeks for the Poles to fold. That's another reason they are to blame - they didn't cave in fast enough!
"The narrative presented by the highest official representative of the Russian state in Poland undermines the historical truth and reflects the most hypocritical interpretation of the events known from the Stalinist and communist years," the Poland Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"The role of an ambassador accredited in a country should be to build to build harmony and friendly relations between countries," said Poland's Prime Misiter.
That'a a lovely idea, but only partially true. An ambassador's job is to present his government's position on various matters pertaining to his host country, to provide useful information to his government which will aid in developing those positions, and in his or her spare time, provide some level of aid and assistance to his country's citizens when they are in his host country and provide visas and suchlike paperwork to those who would like to travel to his country. It does help in the first two functions if he is both intelligent and charming enough to create the illusion of friendship in his hosts' minds, but not absolutely necessary.
In other points of contention in recent days, Poland blocked a Crimean official hoping to attend an OSCE conference in Warsaw from entering the country, angering Moscow. Moscow has also protested a Polish town's dismantling of a monument to a Soviet World War II general, threatening Warsaw with "most serious consequences" for that. Aha! At last - something that makes sense!

These were the good guys? Our allies?
Nazis were bad, but by any measure the Soviets were just as bad - and quite possibly worse.
#2
Poland's only blame is being badly located geographically. They should just build superhighways from east to west with no offramps in the hopes troops quickly pass through the country without the need to conquer along the way.

If any nation besides Germany in Europe gets blamed for WWII I nominate Phrance. First they wanted to distitute Germany after WWI ( I can understand to a degree) But then they really screwed the pooch by not chasing Rommel and his troops out of the Rhineland in 1936. That probably would of gotten the Austrian Corporal deposed by the German Army. We still might of had another war in Europe but at least it might not of been plauged by the genocides o the Nazis
#7
"We still might of had another war in Europe but at least it might not of been plauged by the genocides o the Nazis" Horrific as WW2 was it did not have chemical and biological warfare in the European theater because Hitler took a face full in WW1 and wouldn't allow it to be used. So horrible as the guy was the war *might* have been even worse with another German-leader.
I mean worse for the troops and civilians involved in the war. The only way it could have gotten any worse as far as the Jews and Gypsies were concerned would have been if the allies lost and the Germans got to finish their plans.
#8
rj, IIRC, one of the reasons the Germans did not use poison gas in WWII was that much of their freight was moved by horse, rather than by trucks like the Allies did. They knew that if they used gas, the Allies would have responded in kind. Although the Germans could provide protection for the troops, they could not provide gas masks for the horses - thus, the movement of supplies would have been greatly reduced.

...Clearly the old guard is gone in Russia, because nobody there seems to remember that of all the nations the Russians have gone to war with, only the Poles invaded them and left victorious.

[RFE/RL] Four Armenian soldiers were killed by artillery and gunfire from Azerbaijani forces on September 25 near the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region, according to Nagorno-Karabakh's defense ministry. This latest clash comes a day after Armenia said three civilian women were killed by Azerbaijani gunfire in Armenia's Tavush region.
Azerbaijan did not immediately comment, but has accused Armenia of "turning civilians into a target by deliberately stationing its firing positions in and around civilian facilities to shell positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces."
On September 25, mediators of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe expressed "serious concerns about Armenian and Azerbaijani forces using mortars and heavy weapons in and around civilian areas."
[AlAhram] It's not the most obvious international friendship. On one side is the world's largest democracy, with its riotous collection of battling political parties and a freewheeling media with thousands of newspapers, TV stations and websites. On the other is a deeply isolated nation, a country with no political opposition and a media that does not question the long-ruling family. Access to the Internet, except for a handful of government-approved websites, is restricted to a tiny elite.
But ties are warming between New Delhi and Pyongyang, with mineral-hungry India looking to boost trade while North Korea, facing sometimes-rocky relations with China, searches for new friends.
"We feel that there should not be the usual old hurdles and suspicion," Kiren Rijiju, a top official in India's home ministry told The Hindu newspaper after a recent meeting with North Korea's ambassador. "We have been discussing inside the government ways and means of upgrading bilateral ties."

LOS ANGELES -- Hundreds of immigrants with mental disabilities who were deported from the U.S. after representing themselves in court may be allowed to return to the country under a settlement approved by a judge Friday.
Federal Judge Dolly M. Gee's ruling will let immigrants with serious mental disabilities request to have their cases reopened in hopes of returning to the U.S. The ruling covers immigrants deported from California, Arizona and Washington between Nov. 21, 2011 and Jan. 27 this year.
"This is really a historic settlement," said Carmen Iguina, staff attorney for the ACLU of Southern California, one of the groups that filed the 2010 lawsuit that led to the settlement.
"We're really happy that our class members are going to be able to go back to their communities and families and follow up their cases here," Iguina said.
The government identified 900 immigrants who could benefit from the ruling, though there could be more and it's unclear how many would qualify to have their cases reopened, Iguina said.
Many of those affected are Latino, but she said there's no way to know exactly how many.
Under the agreement, the federal government said it will help those with reopened cases return to the U.S. and pay for some transportation costs.
The settlement comes after an April 2013 injunction that found immigrants with serious mental disabilities have a right to an attorney if they're found mentally incompetent to represent themselves. An October 2014 order then required the federal government to establish screening procedures to determine immigrants' mental competencies. Those procedures took effect in January.

Shade of Fidel Castro's MARIEL boatlift from time back, where Uncle Fidel proudly proclaimed to had cleared out all of Cuba's Prisons and Mental Hospitals, etc. by putting + forcing their End-Users all on a boat(s) to Florida.
[Breitbart] Pope Francis made a thinly-veiled swipe at Donald Trump as the Pontiff defended Latino immigrants who came to America at 'great personal cost' during a moving speech to 40,000 followers in Philadelphia.
Francis called on migrants from Mexico and the rest of the world to "not feel discouraged by all the challenges and hardships" they face, saying they should never feel ashamed of their own traditions.
The Pope's words come in direct contrast to Trump's calls for a wall to be built along the Mexican border and for stricter controls on who can enter the U.S.
Speaking from the lectern used by President Abraham Lincoln when he delivered the Gettysburg Address, Francis directly addressed America's Hispanic population, saying: "Thank you for breaking the law opening the doors. Many of you have emigrated. I greet you with my heart.
"Many of you came to Rome and the Vatican this country at great personal cost, but in the hope of building a new life. Do not feel discouraged by all the challenges and hardships you might face. I ask you not to forget that, like those who came here before you, you bring many new democrats gifts to this new nation of yours.
"Please: do not feel ever ashamed of your traditions."
“The Pope”
The Pope he leads a jolly life,
He’s free from every care and strife;
He drinks the best of Rhenish wine,
I would the Pope’s gay life were mine.
He drinks the best of Rhenish wine,
I would the Pope’s gay life were mine.
But he don’t lead a jolly life,
He has no maid or blooming wife,
He has no son to raise his hope,
Oh! I would not be the Pope.
He has no son to raise his hope,
Oh! I would not be the Pope.
The Sultan better pleases me,
His life is full of jolity,
He’s wives as many as he will,
I fain the Sultan’s throne would fill.
He’s wives as many as he will,
I fain the Sultan’s throne would fill.
But still he is a wretched man,
He must obey the Al-Koran,
He dare not drink one drop of wine,
I would not change his lot for mine.
He dare not drink one drop of wine,
I would not change his lot for mine.
So when the maiden kisses me,
I’ll think that I the Sultan be,
And when my Rhenish wine I tope,
Oh then I’ll think that I’m the Pope.

[Breitbart] Two sources close to Kentucky country clerk Kim Davis tell Breitbart News that the gay men whose demand for a marriage license started her on a path to jail for five days are again trying to get her locked up.
These are the men who were seen on video shouting at Davis and demanding she issue them a marriage license in accord with the Supreme Court Obergefell decision that imposed gay marriage on the country. When she refused, Federal judge David Bunning jailed her for five days.
While Davis was in jail, her staff issued a marriage license to the two men, though without her name attached to it. The license was issued in the name of the clerk's office. The two men were satisfied, as was Judge Bunning and the Governor of the State of Kentucky.
Upon her return, Davis began issuing licenses with "Pursuant to Federal Court Order" affixed. This newest version of Rowan County licenses did not affect the license issue to the two men. Even so, the men are back, saying the license they were so happy with a few weeks ago, is not sufficient They are demanding that Davis issue a new license with her name on it.
It is as if the two men believe the Supreme Court ordered Davis specifically to issue marriage licenses rather than simply guaranteeing that someone will issue marriage licenses to them.
This sets up yet another challenge for Davis and almost certainly for Judge David Bunning. Davis will without a doubt refuse. Bunning may determine that the men must be satisfied with the license they received.
Davis is at the Values Voter Summit this week. You can see her and her husband surrounded by a scrum of supporters and media. She receives an award from the Family Research Council tonight.

Yep, pretty much so. It's all about power. Enlist a lot of useful idiots who think its about principle for cover, but once in power, just become as intolerant of others as one claimed others were of you. If history is any indicator, as soon as the system/environment that allowed small groups to play this game collapses, the payback is dreadful.
They are demanding that Davis issue a new license with her name on it.
Tyrant, much?
