Four Policemen, 13 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Jawzjan Clashes
[Tolo News] At least four coppers and 13 Taliban Death Eaters were killed in festivities in northern Jawzjan province on Monday night, local officials said.

In addition, 13 other coppers were maimed.

The incident took place in Qushtapa district of the province after a number of Taliban Death Eaters attacked an outpost and started festivities, which continued for several hours, provincial governor Lotfullah Azizi said.

"Eight other Taliban Death Eaters were also injured in the festivities," he said.

The injured coppers were transferred to a nearby hospital, said officials.

No group including the Taliban has grabbed credit for the attack.

Once Again Faryab Villages Collapse To The Taliban
[Tolo News] Faryab provincial representatives said on Tuesday that a number of villages in their province have once again collapsed to the Taliban following Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
's reportedly successful operation last month.

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) responded and said they will not allow the cleared areas to again fall to the Taliban. The Interior Minister also said that the security forces will suppress the Taliban in the north and in other parts of the country.

Dostum, who spent almost four weeks on the frontline in Faryab, cleared the area of hard boyz but they reportedly returned only days after he left for Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
.

Among the areas that have apparently collapsed to hard boyz are the Bazar-e-Shakh area in Qaisar district -- a key arms sales base - Khowja Katni and the Bazar-e-Qaraye in Almar district.

This comes after Dostum cleared the areas. Previously the Taliban had controlled Bazar-e-Shakh for three years, Khowja Katni for several months and Bazar-e-Qaraye for a month.

"Many of our districts are on the edge of collapse, and in Qaisar district only the center is under the control of government. All the villages in those areas which were cleared by Gen. Dostum have now once again collapsed to the hands of the Taliban," said Fawzia Raoufi an MP.

"If our suggestion is approved by the National Security Council, which is to give forces all the equipment they need, then we can maintain the areas properly," said Abdul Satar Bariz Faryab acting-governor.

One of the major questions however is why are areas that have been cleared of hard boyz through large-scale military operations, great losses and at a high cost, once again collapsing to the Taliban.

Some officials believe that the security institutions especially the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Interior do not have clear strategies for maintenance in these parts.

"The National Unity Government is resolute in maintaining the achievements and those who want to stand against those achievements or want to create fear and terror will be suppressed," Minister of Interior Affairs Noorulhaq Olomi said.

There are reports however that the Taliban in Faryab have returned stronger, more violent and are harassing people in the area.

Faryab is not however, the only province under threat. Kunar, Paktia and Sar-e-Pul provinces are also experiencing heavy festivities.

Previously the defense ministry said that the hard boyz this season have put all their efforts into taking control of a number of provinces but that they are running out of steam.

Police vehicle targeted in Kabul blast
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] An kaboom took place in Jada-e-Nadir Pashtoon area of Kabul
...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either....
city on Tuesday afternoon.

Eyewitnesses said soon after the kaboom security forces arrived and cordoned off the area.

A shopkeeper from the area said that the sound of the blast was loud but he did not have information about the casualties.

Abdullah Karimi, front man for the Kabul police headquarters confirmed the kaboom.

He said it was a magnetic bomb kaboom targeting a police vehicle.

However,
there is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened...
he did not immediately released information about the possible casualties in the kaboom.

This part of Kabul city is usually having a high crowd of people during the day.

Taliban leader Mullah Mansoor Dadullah joined ISIS, the terror group claims

of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group in Afghanistan have claimed that the senior Taliban capo Mullah Mansoor Dadullah has pledged allegiance to the terror group.

An ISIS supporter who claims to be front man for the terror group said Tuesday Mullah Dadullah was rescued from an offensive by the Talibs involving 2,100 fighters in southern Zabul province.

He said at least 230 ISIS fighters were deployed to Zabul from western Farah province to engage the Talibs and rescue Mullah Dadullah.

He also claimed that Mullah Abdul Manan, the brother of the Taliban founder Mullah Mohammad Omar, prefers to join the ISIS group rather than pledging allegiance to the newly appointed Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.

Although the remarks by the so-called ISIS front man for Khurasan province could not be ascertained but Mullah Dadullah appeared in a video recently claiming that Mullah Akhtar Mansoor has been appointed by Pak military intelligence.

The Islamic Movement Fidai Mahaz which was formed following the killing of Mullah Mansoor Dadullah's elder brother also published a propaganda video ahead of engaging in bloody festivities with the supporters of Mullah Akhtar Mansoor.

The video published through the website of Islamic Movement Fidai Mahaz slammed Mullah Akhtar Mansoor's appointment as new Taliban leader calling him a forger and apostate.

The movement had earlier confirmed Mullah Omar
... a minor Pashtun commander in the war against the Soviets who made good as leader of the Taliban. As ruler of Afghanistan, he took the title Leader of the Faithful. Mali Arrests Jihadi Suspects over Attacks, Media Threats
[AnNahar] Malian special forces have incarcerated
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
a group of suspected jihadists over attacks against police and the United Nations
...where theory meets practice and practice loses...
in the capital, and death threats against foreign journalists, officials said Tuesday.

A source close to the investigation said three men arrested at the weekend had admitted participating in ambushes in August against cop shoppes and a building housing U.N. workers.

"Three criminal masterminds of recent attacks against the U.N. mission in Mali were arrested by Malian special forces in the night from Saturday to Sunday," a defense ministry statement said.

The suspects are Malian citizens from the south, although one is of Ivorian origin while another originates from Burkina Faso
...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other...
The ministry said the men were behind "threats perpetrated against news men last week," referring to a "statement from the Guardians of Jihad" emailed to foreign correspondents and journalists from overseas media, threatening to cut their throats.

The authors of the threat affirmed their intention to "begin with the French journalists and those working for La Belle France, which is the main enemy of Islam."

A search conducted at the home of one of the suspects had uncovered a large consignment of weapons, including grenades, the ministry said.

Sources close to the investigation told AFP a further two suspected jihadists were arrested on Tuesday as part of ongoing inquiries.

The arrests come as the west African country, which has seen several uprisings since independence from La Belle France in 1960, implements a peace deal despite continuing unrest from bad boy groups and jihadist attacks.

Mali's north came under the control of jihadist groups with links to al-Qaeda who imposed a brutal version of Islamic sharia on locals in 2012.

A move south towards the capital by the gunnies prompted La Belle France to intervene in January 2013, pounding their positions in the north.

While their organizational structure has been smashed, small pockets of armed Islamists have managed to remain active, and continue to carry out deadly attacks.

Egypt in 'Major Operation' against ISIL in Sinai
[ALMANAR.LB] Egypt's army said Tuesday it had launched a "major military operation" in the Sinai Peninsula against the Takfiri

in Iraq and Levant), killing 29 forces of Evil and leaving two soldiers dead.

"Units of the police and army launched Operation Right of the Martyr at dawn to eliminate terrorist elements in Rafah, Sheikh Zuweid and El-Arish in North Sinai," the army said in a statement.

Egypt military"Twenty-nine miscreants were killed... while an officer and a non-commissioned soldier were killed and four others maimed when their vehicle was blown up by a bomb."

The army often reports large corpse counts among the Death Eaters but they are impossible to verify and there has been little noticeable impact on the ability of ISIL to carry out deadly attacks on the security forces.

Kenya Police Arrest Three with Suspected Bomb in Nairobi Mall

three men Tuesday found with a suspected homemade bomb as they entered the country's largest upscale shopping mall, police said.

The bomb was later safely detonated in a controlled kaboom.

"We have detained three men who were found with an improvised bomb," said local police chief Robinson Mboloi, who heads the capital's Kasarani district where the Garden City Mall is located.

"Bomb disposal unit officers have detonated it and the area is now safe," he added.

The Nairobi mall, which opened earlier this year, claims to be East Africa's largest shopping center.

The three men arrested Tuesday were reported all to be Kenyans, and were stopped together by officers at security checks going into the mall.

"The device was detected at the screening point, and I thank the security for being swift in their work," Mboloi said. "They will be investigated to establish their links to terrorism and al-Shabaab

Arabia
10 Dead as Intense Coalition Raids Hit Yemen Capital
[AnNahar] Saudi-led air attacks on rebel positions in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Tuesday killed at least 10 people, an Agence La Belle France Presse correspondent and medics said, as powerful kabooms rocked the city.

Witnesses said coalition targets included the police academy and the headquarters of the security services, both in the heart of the city which Shiite Houthis have controlled since September last year.

Overnight strikes also targeted the Sanaa residences of Huthi leaders, witnesses said.

Witnesses reported plumes of smoke rising from the security headquarters while residents near the police academy said many people were maimed by flying glass when the blasts shattered windows.

The rebel-controlled sabanews.net website reported 15 dead and 77 maimed in Tuesday's raids.

Medical sources said that at least seven "civilians" and three guards of leading Huthi officer Khaled al-Anduli were killed in the overnight strikes.

The latest strikes come a day after the government announced that 10,000 Yemeni fighters are now ready as part of the "national army being prepared to liberate Sanaa and other provinces".

as they fight to take control of the country, the U.S. State Department confirmed Monday. One of the American captives has been identified.

Scott Darden, 45, is one of the captives, a source with knowledge of the ongoing hostage situation told CNN. He was captured by the Iran-backed Houthi bandidos bully boyz in March, and they have yet to ask for a ransom, the source said.

The Houthi bandidos bully boyz are notoriously anti-American, proven by their slogan: "God is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, Curse on the Jews, Victory to Islam."

Darden, an Atlanta, Georgia native, was captured while working on humanitarian aid projects in the country.

"We are aware of reports that several U.S. citizens are detained in Yemen. Due to privacy considerations, we do not have any further personal details or information to share. The protection of U.S. citizens overseas is one of the Department of State's highest priorities. We strive to assist U.S. citizens detained abroad whenever possible," the U.S. State Department said of the hostage crisis.

Darden's employer, Transoceanic Development, released a statement on Monday, writing:

We have been working tirelessly since March with governments and other organizations globally to secure the release of Scott Darden, who was in Yemen coordinating the warehousing and delivery of humanitarian aid as part of his job in international logistics. We continue to call on the Houthis to immediately release Scott so that he can be reunited with his family.

Before American officials publicly confirmed that Mr. Darden had been taken hostage, Darden's wife, Diana Loesch, told the Washington Post: "We are asking for his safe return... He loved the Yemeni people."

Bahrain arrests man for online 'insults' to troops in Yemen
[YEMENONLINE.INFO] Bahrain has jugged

a man for posting "insults" on social media of its soldiers participating in the Saudi-led military campaign in Yemen, prosecutors said Monday.

The man was detained for seven days and is accused of "deliberately spreading rumors in a time of war... to harm the military operations of our armed forces", the prosecutor's office said.

It did not reveal the identity of the man, who faces up to 10 years in jail if convicted, nor what he is accused of posting online.

In the United Arab Emirates meanwhile, prosecutors in Abu Dhabi ordered the arrest of an Internet user who had posted an "incorrect" list of young Emiratis he claimed were among the 45 victims, local media reported Monday.

Emirati law provides for prison sentences and fines for those spreading rumors and false information, including about the armed forces, prosecutors said.

20 Indians killed in Saudi-led air strikes at Yemen's Hodeidah port

forces.

The Houthi-run state news agency Saba also said that 15 citizens were killed in air strikes on Sanaa, and medical sources said at least 15 non-combatants were killed in similar attacks on Monday. It was not immediately possible to independently verify the figures.

The alliance, made up mainly of Gulf Arab countries, has increased air strikes on Sanaa and other parts of the country since Friday, when a Houthi missile attack killed at least 60 Saudi, Bahraini and United Arab Emirates soldiers at a military camp east of Sanaa.

They were part of a force preparing to assault the capital, which the Iranian-allied Houthis seized last September.

Friday's attack was the deadliest yet for Gulf soldiers in the war and may herald a turning point as Saudi-allied countries appear to be committing to a ground war they had so far avoided.

Source: PKK frees 20 Turkish hostages in Duhok
[Rudaw] The Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) has released 20 Turkish workers who were detained during ongoing festivities with the Turkish military, a source told Rudaw on Tuesday.

The source said the 20 hostages released by the PKK were 11 customs agents who worked at a border gate into Iraq's Kurdistan region and nine construction workers.

Rudaw learned that the detainees were released in Niska village near Amedi town in the Kurdistan region's Duhok province in the presence of Mayor Hussein Chalky of Amedi.

On Sunday, the PKK said it planned to release the 20 Turkish workers to civil society groups as a gesture of good intent to Ankara in a bid to restore a ceasefire agreement.

Turkish jets, troops target militants in Iraq
[Hurriyet Daily News] Turkish fighter jets and ground troops have entered Iraq and targeted forces of Evil of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) following a holy warrior attack that killed 16 soldiers and maimed six others in the southeastern province of Hakkari on Sept. 6.

The special forces unit of the Turkish Army entered northern Iraq to pursue the PKK holy warriors, who fled The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

after the deadly attack, and mark their positions for fighter jets to carry out attacks, according to military sources.

Some 160 soldiers assigned under the special forces, which is directly responsible to the Turkish General Staff, were deployed by air to the southeastern region where the attack took place. They followed two holy warrior groups, consisting of 20 people, who were determined to be among the PKK members who staged the deadly attack in Hakkari.

Sixteen Turkish soldiers were killed and six others injured on Sept. 6 in a major attack in Hakkari's Daglica locality that was conducted by the PKK, the Turkish General Staff said in a written statement on Sept. 7.

When the forces of Evil fled to northern Iraq, the special forces units also crossed over the border thanks to a mandate from the Turkish Armed Forces to take military action in Iraq and Syria that was renewed for another year on Sept. 3.

The soldiers stayed inside northern Iraq for a couple of hours, despite bad weather conditions, determined the coordinates of the PKK forces of Evil and also made necessary marks for an air campaign.
The Kurdish view of events, courtesy of Rudaw:
Turkey has resumed its Arclight airstrikes on the bases of the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK) in Iraqi Kurdistan Region, targeting many Kurdish majority villages on Monday, a Rudaw correspondent reports.

Rudaw's Bakhtiyar Qadir said Turkish warplanes flew over the area where he was for 10 minutes and then launched Arclight airstrikes at 11:45pm on Monday on the outskirts of the Qandil Mountains and hit the villages of Lewzha, Bole, Kurtak, and Komutan in Iraqi Kurdistan Region.

Qadir reports that civilians in Iraqi Kurdistan Region live in fear of renewed Arclight airstrikes.

In recent weeks, the Qandil Arclight airstrikes have devastated more than just the PKK. Hundreds of villagers have lost farmland and property and many were forced to evacuate their homes.

Witnesses told Rudaw the Turkish government has also intensified its air power near Amedi town in the Kurdistan region's Duhok province.

Speaking at a news conference in Ankara on Monday, the day after an attack by PKK left 16 Turkish soldiers dead, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, "These mountains will be cleansed of terrorists. Whatever happens, they will be cleansed."

The PKK attack was the deadliest since the Kurdish resistance movement renewed its armed campaign at the end of July.

Turkish nationalists beat compatriot after presuming him to be Kurdish
[Hurriyet Daily News] Amid ongoing terror attacks by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), a group of Turkish nationalists accidentally beat one of its own members on the presumption that he was Kurdish, Turkish media have reported.

The incident occurred in the southern Turkish province of Adana early Sept. 8, according to daily Cumhuriyet, which quoted local Antalya Agency. Around 200 people convened for a march to protest the PKK but ultimately attacked the local headquarters of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), which focuses on the Kurdish issue, in the Muratpasa district, the report said.

After midnight as the demonstration was over, 10 people in the crowd attacked a man at a tram stop "because he had darker skin," according to the report. An undercover police saved the man from being lynched. The man complained that he was also a member of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) from the southern province of Burdur.

"What are you doing? Aren't your brains working?" the police office said, reprimanding the group, the report added, noting that the victim said he would file a criminal complaint against the group.

This was not the first time that Turkish nationalists confused their target. On July 4, an MHP-linked youth organization attacked a group of Korean tourists in Istanbul, presuming that they were from China, whom they intended to attack in reprisal for Beijing's alleged rights violations against the Turkic Uighur Moslems in Xinjiang.

Daily Hurriyet assaulted by brownturbans protesters for second time in two days
[Hurriyet Daily News] Daily Hurriyet's Istanbul headquarters and Ankara offices were pelted with stones by club-swinging protesters on Sept. 8, less than 48 hours after a similar attack by Justice and Development Party (AKP) supporters.

Around 100 protesters arrived at the outer gate of the building at 8:30 p.m., with four gunshots heard as they approached. Protesters forced their way into the garden despite the presence of a small unit of riot police.

Security forces prevented them from entering the building at the last moment, and protesters, who were chanting "God is great," were removed from the garden after more police units came 25 minutes later.

One dead in firing on Geo TV DSNG van in Karachi
[DAWN] Three unknown gunnies riding a cycle of violence shot up a Geo TV Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) vehicle Tuesday night in the Bahadurabad area of Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
, killing a Geo News employee and injuring another, said police.

Ferozabad Station House Officer (SHO) told Dawn that the news van was parked near the busy Naheed Store when unknown assailants fired shots and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace.

There were four persons in the van; two of them had left the vehicle when cycle of violence riding men emerged and fired shots at the two personnel still inside the van.

Initially, the two injured media workers -- a technician and a driver -- were taken to a hospital where Arshad Ali Jaffery departed this vale of tears. Anees, the driver, is said to be in a stable condition.

The slain media worker was shot seven times, while the driver was shot twice in his shoulder, said police. Officials said the incident appeared to be a targeted attack, but it was not clear whether the target was Jaffery or Geo News.

Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal has taken notice of the attack and summoned a report from DIG East Muneer Sheikh, ordering immediate arrest of the suspects.

This is not the first attack of its nature, targeting media workers. Early last year, three employees of Express News channel were rubbed out in North Nazimabad in an attack claimed by the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain.

Karachi Central SSP Amir Farooqi had at the time said four gunnies on two cycle of violences emerged at the Board Office traffic intersection where the van of the news channel was stationed. Two of the assailants got off the bikes and opened indiscriminate fire on the van. The assailants, wearing shalwar qameez, escaped after the shooting.

Iraqi woman killa ISIS commander after she was forced to become sex slave
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] A commander of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group was killed by an Iraqi woman after he forced her to become a sex slave for his fighters.

The incident reportedly took place in the city of djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
three days back with the officials saying the woman was captured by the ISIS Lions of Islam three months ago.

A spokesperson for Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Saeed Mamouzini said the ISIS commander was identified as Abu Anas.

Mamouzini further added that the woman was coerced into marrying several fighters of the terror group.

The latest claim by Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) follow documented examples of ISIS terror group systematically abusing women and girls within their captured territory.

The UN envoy on sexual violence Zainb Bangura said earlier in June this year that Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group is selling women captured as sex slaves at the markets for "as little as a packet of cigarettes".

Ms Bangura said she had been to Syria and Iraq in recent months and found a war "being fought on the bodies of women".

"This is how they attract young men: we have women waiting for you, virgins that you can marry," she said.

In her previous testimony she spoke about the horrific treatment of women captured by the Isis regime, stripped naked and shipped around the territories it controls "like cattle".

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) also obtained a secretly-filmed videos which showed strict controls enforced upon all women living in the Isis-held city of Mosul.

"We heard stories of men being flogged because their wives didn't put their gloves on. Another woman's parents were banned from driving their car. Those who object are beaten and humiliated," a witness named as Hanaa said.

Gunmen Kidnap Iraq's Deputy Justice Minister
[ALMANAR.LB] Iraq's deputy justice minister was kidnapped from his vehicle on Tuesday by black-clad gunnies in a north Baghdad district, three security sources said, the second high-profile abduction in the capital in less than a week.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Baghdad has seen a proliferation in recent years of well armed criminal gangs that carry out contract killings, kidnappings and extortion.

The security sources said another ministry official and two guards were also kidnapped. A ministry front man declined to comment but identified the deputy minister as Abdel Karim Faris.

Last week, gunnies seized 18 Turkish construction workers from a sports stadium they were building in northeastern Baghdad.

Four Dead as Iran Revolutionary Guards Fight Kurdish Rebels
[AnNahar] Fighting between Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards and Kurdish rebels near the Turkish border have killed four people, two from each side, the official IRNA news agency reported on Tuesday.

The festivities took place Monday night in the West Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran, IRNA said quoting regional governor Hussein Sivani.

He said the festivities pitted members of the Revolutionary Guards against fighters from the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK) "terrorist group."

"Two PJAK bad boyz were potted and five were maimed," Sivani said, adding that the fighting also claimed the lives of two Revolutionary Guards members while two others were maimed.

IRNA said the festivities occurred at Razi-Kapikoy, a border crossing between Iran's West Azerbaijan province and The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
's Van province which has been closed for 10 days because of unrest in Turkey.

The Kurdistan Workers' Party has been staging daily attacks against Turkey's armed forces as the military presses an operation against the outlawed group in the southeast and northern Iraq that began in July.

PJAK rebels have frequently clashed with Iranian forces, sparking retaliatory bombing in the mountainous border districts of the autonomous Kurdish region in neighboring Iraq.

IRNA, quoting a security official, also reported on Tuesday that an attack last week by PJAK snuffies in the western province of Kermanshah has also killed a Revolutionary Guards member.

A number of rebels were killed and maimed, it said without giving further details.

announced on Sept. 7 that La Belle France would begin reconnaissance flights over Syria on Sept. 8 that would subsequently enable it to consider air strikes.

An official at the French Ministry of Defence said Tuesday's mission was designed to gather intelligence on ISIL and strengthen La Belle France's own ability to assess the situation in Syria.

"Similar missions could be carried out in the coming days," the official said.

Takfiris' Morale at Lowest Level as Hezbollah, Sy. Army Advance in Zabadani
[ALMANAR.LB] The morale of the Takfiri
...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed...
holy warriors in Zabadani is low in the wake of fresh gains made by Hezbollah and the Syrian army in the southwestern city.

In an audio recording, two of the holy warriors said that the number of the injured gunnies in Zabadani is between 180 and 190.Recording of Syria gunnies in Zabadani

"The morale of the fighters here is zero. There are 180 to 190 fighters who are injured," one of the holy warriors said.

Another holy warrior said: "I swear we are not afraid that they (the injured holy warriors) may be killed. We are afraid that they may be captured."

Meanwhile,
...back at the buffalo wallow, Standing Buffalo drew a bead on his old enemy and squeezed the trigger...
the Syrian army and the Lebanese resistance forces advanced further in eastern Zabadani.

Hezbollah's Military Media reported that the allied forces seized al-Mahattat neighborhood and the commercial bank in the east of Zabadani.

The Syrian army and Hezbollah have been since July 4 engaged in the battle of Zabadani, the last city under the control of gunnies in the Qalamoun region on the Lebanese border.

The ongoing battle is part of a wider operation launched by the Syrian forces and the resistance movement's fighters on May 4, which has reportedly driven gunnies out of more than 90 percent of the territory in the mountainous region.

Hezbollah, Syrian Army Seizes Blocs in Western Zabadani
[ALMANAR.LB] Fighters of the Islamic Resistance of Leb - Hezbollah - and the Syrian army forces continued on Tuesday to launch wide-scale operations against the terrorist organizations' hotbeds, positions and hideouts in the southern Syrian city of Zabadani, killing scores of their members and injuring others.

Hezbollah and the Syrian military established control over al-Mas district, as well as certain blocs in Al-Zahra neighborhood and the Bridge roundabout in west of the city, making new advance in terms of tightening the noose around the remaining Lions of Islam in central city, located to the northwest of Damascus.

A military source told SANA news agency that the terrorist organizations lost all of their positions to the last one in the district, noting that a facility for making bombs was found during the combing operations.

#1  the battle for Zabadani (which is about 30 miles north/northeast of Damascus and within 10 miles of the Lebanon border)has been going on for over a month

if Assad and Hezbollah were to lose zabadani, it would be a devastating blow - the fact that the anti assad forces have held out so long is itself very bad for the govt and Hezbollah
