Any chance the youthful miscreant is part of the current wave of welcomed illegals from the south?

The youth came under suspicion when his neighbours saw him take the girl into his residence on Wednesday, following which they raised a hue and cry and handed the youth over to the police.

[Huffpoo] A man swimming late at night in a Texas bayou died after an alligator attacked him in what was reportedly the state's first fatal gator attack in roughly two centuries. Here, hold my beer.
Tommie Woodward, 28, jumped into a marina early Friday morning along the bayou in the city of Orange, near the Louisiana border, despite a sign that said "No Swimming Alligator," CNN reported. The marina owner said the warning went up recently after the reptile was spotted lurking in the water. Reports said it measured 10 to 12 feet in length. People, they taste just like chicken.

[DAWN] Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is also patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), has expressed concern over the embarrassing performance of the national team in World Hockey League and its failure to qualify for 2016 Rio Olympics. The Rawalpindi Maple Leafs had their worst showing ever.
A day after Pakistan's shock defeat to Ireland, Sharif sought explanation from the PHF and the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination about the dismal state of the national sport and how a three-time Olympic gold medalist had plunged so low.
The premier also asked the ministry to firm up recommendations for the uplift of the sport with an aim to regain its past glory. Of course they lost. I looked at the pictures. How you gonna win if you don't skate?
Pakistan failed to qualify for the Olympics for the first time in their illustrious hockey history after losing to Ireland 1-0 in the 5-8 position classification match of the Hockey World League in Antwerp, Belgium on Friday. Well, at least they still have most of their teeth. And the Irish could hoist some pints afterwards, too...
It was another low for Greenshirts who for the first time in the game's history had failed to qualify for the World Cup last year.

[IN.REUTERS] Some 30,000 Indian soldiers guarding the border with Bangladesh have a new mandate under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government this year - stop cattle from crossing illegally into the Moslem-majority neighbour.
Roughly every other night, troops armed with bamboo sticks and ropes wade through jute and paddy fields and swim across ponds to chase ageing bovines, and smugglers, headed for markets in Bangladesh.
The crackdown is one of the clearest signs yet of how Indian policies, increasingly influenced by Hindu nationalist ideology, are having an economic impact on neighbouring countries as well as the sizeable Moslem minority at home.
About 2 million head of cattle are smuggled into Bangladesh annually from India. The $600 million-a-year trade has flourished over the past four decades and is considered legal by Dhaka.
Modi's government, which came to power with the help of the Hindu nationalist Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), wants to put an end to it.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh travelled this spring to the frontier with Bangladesh, calling on the Border Security Force (BSF) to halt cattle smuggling completely so that the "people of Bangladesh give up eating beef", media reported at the time.
"Killing or smuggling a cow is equivalent to raping a Hindu girl or destroying a Hindu temple," said Jishnu Basu, an RSS front man in West Bengal, which shares a 2,216 km (1,375 miles) border with Bangladesh.

"Yeah, we stole them cows fair and square."
Am I reading this right? The Banglas are mad at the Indians for cracking down on cattle rustling AND are blaming this on Hindoo nationalism. If you are going to act like this, you might as well be East Pakistain.
We had this pool in ranger school going on some of the patrols with the winner being the person with the OLDEST C-Rats for that meal. I personally saw C-Rats that were dated to 1951 or there abouts.
My big point is that Reforger didn't go through England it was strictly a USAREUR/NATO show with the troops coming straight to the FRG.

A group of Siberian entrepeneurs have started to produce rolls of toilet paper with the text of the European and American sanctions against Russia, decided because of the Ukrainian crisis, as a sign of support of the foreign policy of the Kremlin. The group has already sent the rolls of toilet paper to the embassies of US, Britain and Germany.
[FOXNEWS] Russian President Vladimir Putin ...Second and fourth President and sixth of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead... has sent a congratulatory Fourth of July message to President B.O. and expressed confidence that their respective countries can work together on global issues including terror threats, according to news agencies.
"In his message of congratulations, the Russian President noted that, despite the differences between the two countries, Russian-American relations remain the most important factor of international stability and security," the Kremlin said in a statement, according to NBC.
The two countries, world powers and frequent rivals, have been at particular odds since the uprising in Ukraine that resulted in Russia last year annexing the country's eastern Crimea region and continuing to provide military support to government-opposition forces.

Russia said on Saturday it was outraged by Poland's destruction of a Soviet war monument, warning Warsaw of the "most negative consequences" after what it said was a flagrant violation of an agreement between the two countries on protecting memorial sites.
Authorities in the western Polish town of Nowa Sol took down the brotherhood-in-arms of Polish and Red Army soldiers memorial at the end of June, reducing it to a pile of rubble.
Poland's foreign ministry spokesman Marcin Wojciechowski told Reuters the move in Nowa Sol did not violate the agreement, which Poland believes only concerns cemeteries. Russia says it concerns all war memorials.
"Issues regarding monuments are within the competencies of relevant local authorities," Wojciechowski said.
A monument in Warsaw's Skaryszewski park commemorating Soviet soldiers who died in 1944 is regularly sprayed over with paint, despite close monitoring from the Warsaw police.
Health insurance companies around the country are seeking rate increases of 20 percent to 40 percent or more, saying their new customers under the Affordable Care Act turned out to be sicker than expected. Federal officials say they are determined to see that the requests are scaled back.
Oregon not only approved rate increases requested by insurance companies, but also directed those companies who did not request an increase to raise their rates. The reasoning was "to cover insurers' costs and keep well-heeled companies from driving others out of the market-- thus hurting competition and rates in the long run."

Some say the marketplaces have not attracted enough healthy young people. “As a result, millions of people will face Obamacare sticker shock,” said Senator John Barrasso, Republican of Wyoming.
Blaming reluctant youth. Nice touch. Perhaps there might be some method developed for blaming the youth for 'Global Warming' as well. Better they were never born eh ?

From the geniuses people who came up with the racket Balloon Mortgages that brought us to the financial abyss of the '08 Melt Down, behold the Balloon Healthcare program, aka Obamacare. File under - Magic Money Tree.

That was the problem with Obamacare in the beginning.
The uninsured that Obamacare wanted to save, were mostly young healthy citizens who did not perceive a need for insurance.
When you look at the piles of stuff in the mandatory package, contraception, abortion, pediatric, geriatric, ob-gyn(even for males), Obamacare is a tax and a Ponzi scheme all in one.
The healthy who are forced to purchase care pay for the care of the unhealthy.
The unhealthy are the only ones who have an incentive to sign up for Obamacare.
That and the fact the fine print in Obamacare make it a grand payoff to the insurance industry for their support of Obama in two elections. Much as the stimulus was a payoff to the banks and wall street who donated millions to Obama knowing he would make them all rich with the stimulus.

Sounds like it is time for 'the states' to step in. Or 'the state'.
[RFE] Moscow has warned Warsaw of the "most negative consequences" after a town in western Poland tore down a Soviet war monument.
Authorities in the western Polish town of Nowa Sol took down a monument dedicated to the brotherhood-in-arms of Polish and Red Army soldiers at the end of June, reducing it to a pile of rubble.
I think I can figure out why the townsfolk did that...
Wadim Tyszkiewicz, Nowa Sol's mayor, said in a Facebook posting that "the monument was large, ugly, always dirty with rust leaking out of the abyss of its emptiness, like blood or tears."
Plus it was historically inaccurate...
In a statement on July 4, Russia's Foreign Ministry described the Polish action as an "unfriendly move" and a "direct and flagrant" violation of a 1994 agreement between Poland and the Russian Federation on memorial sites.
A Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman told Reuters that the 1994 agreement only covered cemeteries.
Relations between Warsaw and Moscow are already strained over the conflict in Ukraine.
[IN.REUTERS] Greece's finance minister accused creditors of trying to "terrorise" Greeks into accepting austerity, warning Europe stood to lose as much as Athens if the country is forced out of the euro after a referendum on Sunday on bailout terms.
After a week in which Greece defaulted, shuttered its banks and began rationing cash, Greeks vote on Sunday on whether to accept or reject tough conditions sought by international creditors to extend a lending lifeline that has kept the debt-stricken country afloat.
The left-wing government is urging a 'No' vote, saying Greece's European partners are bluffing when they warn that would mean a Greek departure from Europe's single currency, with unforeseeable consequences for Greece, Europe and the global economy.
Opinion polls on Friday gave the 'Yes' camp, which favours accepting the bailout terms, a slender lead but all were within the margin of error and pollsters said the vote was too close to call.
