Remember her well...she was the reason I watched CNN back in the day. Believe she holds a black belt and did some work as a body guard believe it or not. I won't state the obvious snark on that last sentence..

More strange news from the Duke City:
Police have found what may be a human hand sticking out from beneath a concrete or brick slab in an industrial area in Northwest Albuquerque, a police spokesperson said.
“All we have right now is what appears to be a human hand and a sock covered by a brick slab,” the spokesperson said. “We do have a slight odor of decomposing body, that’s why we’re pursuing this further.”
[DENVER.CBSLOCAL] A Colorado Springs man was tossed in the calaboose You have the right to remain silent... after police believe he left racist messages outside a church.
Vincent Broughton, 44, who is black, is facing charges for committed a bias-motivated crime and disorderly conduct.
The signs were posted outside the New Covenant church that is predominately attended by African Americans. One sign references the KKK. Another reads, "Black men beware, you are the target."
The messages had the congregation on edge.
"We locked our doors this morning, so we were inside, but it shouldn't be that way. You shouldn't have to lock your doors in the church, it's just... I'm speechless," said Pastor Roland Joyner.
Police said Broughton admitted to posting the flyers but did not explain why he targeted the church.

Yet another manufactured "hate crime"? It smells like desperation and stale Narrative.

Have you ever noticed that the Alabama State Flag looks suspiciously like the Anglish Flag which is in fact the Crusaders Cross? You didn't notice? NO INTERWEBS FOR YOU DEAR,
What the hell do we expect? We've made victimhood a highly paid career, we've indoctrinated an entire generation or more to believe that white male Christians are inherently evil, we've built a media culture that tells people that to matter they have to do sensationalist things instead of being ordinary decent hard-working citizens.
How much longer will the good reverend be in business, anyways, after the left consolidates their gay marriage victory and shuts down his church along with every other authentic Christian church and conservative/orthodox synagogue?
Speechless? How about giving a speech to your congregation, reverend, to stop hating white people and stop voting for leftists and stop supporting their narrative?

When the benefits of throwing racist crap out there, even staged, outweighs the risks we will see lots of this.
[HOSTED.AP.ORG] A man who reported someone beat him and carved a homophobic slur into his arm staged the attacks, authorities in rural Utah said Tuesday.
We're at the point in our society where you just assume such things are staged...
Millard County Sheriff Robert Dekker said Rick Jones, 21, could face charges after officers investigating the series of reported attacks found inconsistencies in the evidence. The Delta man eventually acknowledged faking the harassment, Dekker said.
Brett Tolman, an attorney for Jones, said the reports were a cry for help initially directed toward people close to him, and Jones didn't realize how much attention they would get.
"I think it's such good evidence of the difficulties members of the gay community deal with, and some make better choices than others," Tolman said.
Jones has since begun mental health treatment, the lawyer said.

Mosquitos oppressing my lower leg, film at eleven.
[FT] A technician has been killed by a robot at a Volkswagen plant near Kassel, Germany.
A 21 year old external contractor was installing the robot together with a colleague when he was struck in the chest by the robot and pressed against a metal plate. He later died of his injuries, reports Chris Bryant, the FT's Frankfurt correspondent.
Prosecutors have opened an investigation into how the accident occurred.
Robot-related fatalities are rare in western production plants as robots are kept behind safety cages to prevent accidental contact with humans.
In this instance the contractor was standing inside the safety cage when the accident occurred.
The second employee was outside the cage and was unharmed.

Horse did that to me once in a stall, slammed me into a corner and didn't listen to my kindly entities to desist. I got a nasty wound on the shoulder from a stupidly exposed nail, but did recover $350 from the Quitman auction.
I also don't have her on my conscience, my first thought was $200 from the Rendering plant.
[Tolo News] The Kabul ...the capital of Afghanistan. Home to continuous fighting from 1992 to 1996 between the forces of would-be strongman and Pak ISI/Jamaat-e-Islami sock puppet Gulbuddin Hekmayar and the Northern Alliance, a period which won Hek the title Most Evil Man in the World and didn't do much for the reputations of the Northern Alliance guys either.... Appeals Court has allegedly reversed the Primary Court's sentence of the death penalty handed down in May to four accused in the Farkhunda murder case.
Those handed the death penalty in a ruling in May have now reportedly had their sentences reduced to 20 years in prison, a source told TOLOnews on condition of anonymity.
The decision came Wednesday after a "secret trial", the source added.
Furthermore, the court is said to have acquitted the custodian of the Shrine named Omran of the case -- who was sentenced to 16 years in prison for playing a major role in accusing Farkhunda of burning the Holy Koran.
Farkhunda was brutally beaten to death, burnt and thrown into muddy Kabul River by a mob on 19 March in Kabul in the presence of a number of coppers after a Mullah accused her of burning the Koran. This led the people to attack her with stones and sticks.
About 50 suspects including coppers were incarcerated Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! in connection with her murder -- but four were handed the death sentence and eight got 16 years in prison.

[DAWN] Saudi authorities have denied a request by the Pakistain embassy for consulor access to Zaid Hamid, a self-proclaimed security analyst jugged Book 'im, Mahmoud! in Soddy Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face... In Medina, a team from Counsel General Jeddah was denied access to Zaid Hamid and was not allowed to meet the analyst.
Foreign Office spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah, responding to a question, denied knowledge of the sentence given to Zaid Hamid and said it had not been confirmed by Saudi authorities. The spokesperson further said that with the efforts of the foreign ministry, Hamid's wife has been able to meet him at Madina prison.
Diplomatic sources had said that Zaid Hamid was tossed in the calaboose Please don't kill me! last month for making an alleged provocative speech in Madina criticising the Saudi government.

As President Obama announced that Cuba was restoring full diplomatic relations, reopening embassies in Washington and Havana after more than five decades, Cuba was once again demanding the U.S. return Guantanamo to the country.
“To achieve normalization [of diplomatic relations] it will be essential also that the territory illegally occupied by the Guantanamo Naval Base is returned,” read a declaration posted on Granma, the official organ of the Communist Party in the island.
The Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, home to Guantanamo Bay detention camp since 2012, is located on 45 square miles of a bay the U.S. leased for use as a coaling and naval station in 1903.
In the 700-word declaration, the Cuban government also demands the U.S. end the transmission of anti-Castro radio and television broadcasts on the island. The demands echo, almost word by word, those made by President Raul Castro back in January, during the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States summit on Costa Rica.
Consistency has never been a problem for the commies once they're in power...
“Radio and television transmissions to Cuba (…) are in violation of international law and are harmful to our sovereignty policies,” the declaration reads, while demanding also that “programs aimed at promoting internal subversion and destabilization be stopped.”
Obama announced Wednesday that the U.S. and Cuba will reopen their embassies in Havana and Washington, heralding a "new chapter" in relations after a half-century of hostility.
"We don't have to be imprisoned by the past," Obama said from White House Rose Garden. "Americans and Cubans alike are ready to move forward."

Perhaps the entire facility could be upgraded to Cuban Revolutionary standards, to include extensive cratering of the NAS GITMO runway, hangers, coms towers, etc..... just prior to our exit. No sense leaving the Russians any modern, imperialist facilities now is there? I'm sure they'd prefer their own architecture and design.
Havana/Washington - The United States and Cuba are set to announce the restoration of diplomatic relations on Wednesday, the result of a two-year courtship between former Cold War rivals who severed ties in 1961.
The senior US diplomat in Havana on Wednesday delivered a letter from President Barack Obama addressed to Cuban President Raul Castro about the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The text of the letter was not immediately disclosed. Jeffrey DeLaurentis, chief of the US interests section, handed the letter to Cuba’s interim foreign minister, Marcelino Medina, at the Cuban foreign ministry. The two shook hands in front of a Cuban and a US flag.
The Cuba deal marks a major achievement for Obama,
...and a moral semi-disaster for America...
who has been criticised for foreign policy stumbles, especially in the Middle East. It follows his recent victory in a congressional fight for fast-track authority that could undergird a landmark Asia trade deal and comes as Washington appears to be on the cusp of a nuclear agreement with Iran.
Following 18 months of secret negotiations brokered by Pope Francis and Canada, the two leaders announced separately but simultaneously in December that they planned to reopen embassies in each other’s capitals and normalise relations.
US Secretary of State John Kerry is expected at a flag-raising ceremony in Havana later this month, when the US interests section will become a full embassy. Cuba’s mission in Washington will undergo a similar upgrade. Kerry trotted out for the official photographs. Secret, behind the scenes WH negotiators brokered the deal, not Kerry or Foggy Bottom.
With diplomatic relations restored, the United States and Cuba will turn to the more difficult task of normalizing overall relations. Major obstacles include the comprehensive US economic embargo of Cuba and the US naval base at Cuba’s Guantanamo Bay, which the United States has leased since 1903. Cuba wants the 116 square km returned as full sovereign territory.
Would Cuba have to take the Camp Delta detainees?
Obama, a Democrat, has asked the Republican-controlled Congress to lift the 53-year-old embargo, but the conservative leadership in Congress has resisted.

Yes, I would dearly love to be at that ceremony. I am at odds with most RBurgers on this matter, but this is the big cheese!
My family made a (very) small fortune selling cattle and salt to Cuber after the WBTTS and to US Forces during the Span-Am War. My grandfather honeymooned in Habana, my wife is an honorary warden of an Episcopal church high up on the Sierra Madre. Cuba is part of Florida. Always will be.

[WASHINGTONPOST] European officials on Wednesday slammed the door on any further negotiations with Greece before a national referendum planned for Sunday, daring the Athens government to go ahead with a vote that holds peril for the country no matter which option Greeks choose.
"There will be no talks in the coming days," Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselboem told news hounds Wednesday evening. "We will simply await now the outcome of the referendum on Sunday."

Real money left Greek banks long ago. The ATM closure generally only affects pensioners and tourists. The downside of gov't banking controls and direct deposit. A teaching point if you will. More Ouzo please.

At first glance it astounded me that, at this point, anyone would still have their money in a Greek bank account.
Then it occurred to me that the only way you can receive a U.S. Social Security payment is to have it "direct deposited" into a Government approved (federal chartered) bank account.
It's the truth that our boat is no better than the Greeks. They're just a little farther down the river.
[Cihan] 173 Uighur Turks who had been detained in Thailand for over a year, pitting Turkey against China in a diplomatic tussle, have been permitted to go to Turkey after the Turkish government made intense diplomatic efforts on their behalf.
The arrival of the Uighurs Turks in Kayseri on Wednesday, marks the end a period of detention and fears of being returned to China. The Uighurs in Thailand have been the source of a diplomatic crisis between China and Turkey, with both countries wanting to repatriate them.
Fleeing repression in China, hundreds of Uighurs have sought to settle in Thailand, but the Thai government has jailed them on charges of border violation.
China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied religious restrictions on Wednesday in a sharp response to Turkey's concern about reports that Uighur Muslims have been barred from worshiping and fasting during Ramadan. Turkey's Foreign Ministry says it has been upset by these reports and expressed its concerns to China's ambassador in Ankara.
Some estimate that more than 1,000 Uighurs have escaped from China to Turkey.
