The jihadi group vowed to unleash a number of suicide bombers--or "martyrs"--to target both groups.

[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] The gunman who killed 38 tourists in Tunisia received weapons training from jihadis in Libya, a top official said Tuesday, as the president admitted security services were unprepared for the attack.
On Friday, a student identified as 23-year-old Seifeddine Rezgui pulled a Kalashnikov assault rifle from inside a beach umbrella and went on a bloody rampage at the five-star Riu Imperial Marhaba hotel in Port El Kantaoui near Sousse.
Secretary of state for security Rafik Chelli told AFP Rezgui had been in Libya at the same time as the two authors of a March attack at the National Bardo Museum in Tunis that killed 21 tourists and a policeman.
Both attacks were claimed by ISIS, which controls large swathes of Iraq and Syria.
"It is confirmed that he (Rezgui) went to Libya illegally. He was trained in Sabratha (west of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... )," Chelli said.
"They were away at the same time ... In Sabratha, there is only one camp that trains young Tunisians," he said, although he could not confirm whether they had trained together.
The camp was run by the jihadi Ansar al-Sharia ...a Salafist militia which claims it is not part of al-Qaeda, even though it works about the same and for the same ends. There are groups of the same name in Libyaand Yemen, with the Libyan versions currently most active. Tunisia's Shabaab al-Tawhid started out an Ansar al-Sharia and changed its name in early 2014. It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet... h group, Chelly added.

[Dhaka Tribune] The International Crimes Tribunal 1 has exempted the president and secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir ... the student wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh... , the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami ...The Islamic Society, founded in 1941 in Lahore by Maulana Sayyid Abul Ala Maududi, aka The Great Apostosizer. The Jamaat opposed the independence of Bangladesh but has operated an independent branch there since 1975. It maintains close ties with international Mohammedan groups such as the Moslem Brotherhood. the Taliban, and al-Qaeda. The Jamaat's objectives are the establishment of a pure Islamic state, governed by Sharia law. It is distinguished by its xenophobia, and its opposition to Westernization, capitalism, socialism, secularism, and liberalist social mores... , from charges of demeaning the tribunal over a war crimes verdict.
The tribunal, led by its Chairman M Enayetur Rahim, yesterday exonerated Abdul Jabbar and Atiqur Rahman as they apologised unconditionally for a media statement they issued following the death sentencing of Jamaat leader ATM Azharul Islam. They have also been warned to be careful, cautious and respectful while commenting over judicial proceedings in the future.
On December 30 last year, the tribunal awarded death sentence to ATM Azharul for wartime offences. On January 1, the prosecution brought contempt charges against Jabbar and Atiqur along with Jamaat acting ameer Maqbul Ahmad, acting secretary general Shafiqur Rahman, nayeb-e-ameer Mujibur Rahman, and Jamaat leaders' defence lawyer Tajul Islam for issuing separate statements over the verdict that demeaned the tribunal.
The tribunal issued an order seeking explanations from them and all of them submitted their individual reply.
On May 4, The tribunal exempted Tajul and warned him after he apologised unconditionally. Three other senior Jamaat leaders were also exempted from the charges as the tribunal found that their statements did not attack the court directly and their replies were satisfactory. But it began contempt proceedings against the Shibir leaders.

[Dhaka Tribune] Since Abdul Latif Siddique's release on bail on Monday a number of bully boy Islamist political parties and groups have been expressing anger, saying the sacked minister would have to die for defaming Islam.
The fanatics held processions and rallies, and issued press statements against the court order and demanded that Latif be placed in durance vile Book 'im, Mahmoud! again and given exemplary punishment for hurting their religious sentiment.
They also criticised the government for giving shelter to the former Awami League Presidium member by granting his bail prayers.
Islami Oikyo Jote, an ally of the BNP-Jamaat-led 20-party combine, has announced protest processions from all mosques across the country on Friday.
Latif had reportedly criticised hajj and also ijtema during a discussion in New York on September 27 last year. A number of cases were filed against him at different places in Bangladesh, he was removed from the cabinet and the party cancelled his primary membership.
He got bail in 17 cases filed against him before being released from the prison cell of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.

Qawmi madrasa-based Islamist platform Hefajat-e-Islam ...a madrassa-based false nose and mustache of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, formed in 2010 to protest against secular education. In 2011 demonstrated violentyly against women's rights and in 2013 held large rallies demanding capital punishment of Shahbag Square protesters and banning women working outside the home... 's leader Maulana Junayed Al Habib said Latif Siddique would not be allowed to move freely in Bangladesh.
"He will be killed wherever he is found. No atheist has been spared since the independence of Bangladesh," Habib, members secretary of Hefazat's city unit, said at an iftar party at Jamia Madania Madrasa.
Members of Islami Oikyo Jote, also a part of Hefazat platform, brought out a procession in Lalbagh. Its Secretary General Mufti Faizullah said: "The atrocious atheists and murtads are being patronised by granting Latif Siddique bail. They will not be allowed to live in this country."
Islami Andolon Bangladesh in a statement, signed by its Secretary General Yunus Samad, echoed the views of Faizullah.
Demanding Latif's arrest, Khelafat Majlish in a statement yesterday termed the government hypocrite. "Infamous Taslima Nasreen, Daud Haider... no one could stay in the country after defaming Islam. The country's pious Moslems will never allow any atheist or murtad on the soil of Bangladesh."
Its leaders alleged that Latif's bail proved that the government arrested him to save him from outrage of the people.
Khelafat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Abul Hasnat Amini said the atheists would be diminished in thin air following the all-out movement of the true Moslems during this Ramadan.
"This government has no authority to stay in power. It is the arch enemies of Islam and Moslems," he said at an iftar event on Monday.
Jyotirmoy Barua, lawyer for Latif Siddique, said his client has every right to get protection from the government.
"Atheism is not illegal in our country and we do not have Shariah Law to demand death sentence of atheists. The government should take stern action against all irrespective of their political or other identities in such cases," he told the Dhaka Tribune.
When contacted, Muntasriul Islam, DMP DC (media), evaded a direct answer. He, however, said police usually take steps as per the law when any citizen, especially the noted personalities, is threatened with death.

[WASHINGTONPOST] French Sherlocks on Tuesday handed preliminary murder and terrorism charges to a man accused of beheading his boss and attacking a gas factory, and suspected of having ties to Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... myrmidons.
Yassin Salhi was charged and will remain in jug, the Gay Paree prosecutor's office said. Filing preliminary charges gives authorities more time for deeper investigation before they decide whether to send the case to trial.
Salhi was tossed in the slammer Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! after the attack Friday in southeast La Belle France, which included an kaboom and two light injuries. The assault put the country back on high alert after deadly myrmidon attacks in January.
According to his attorney, Salhi said he was acting purely for personal reasons after being reprimanded by his employer.
With a long-bladed knife and a gun in hand -- as well as two flags emblazoned with the Moslem declaration of faith -- Salhi tricked his boss into getting into a van, knocked him unconscious and strangled him, prosecutor Francois Molins said.
About a quarter of a mile before reaching the plant, Molins said, Salhi decapitated his victim and almost immediately sent two photos of the remains to a friend in Syria: One was a selfie and the other an image of the severed head placed carefully on the torso.
Then Salhi, a truck driver with a history of radical Islamist ties dating to 2003, drove into the plant filled with flammable gas canisters, Molins said.
When he was tackled by firefighters responding to the kaboom and blaze, he cried out "holy shit! Allahu akbar," the Arabic phrase for "God is great," Molins said.
In a subsequent message, the friend, a Frenchie identified as Sebastien Younes who has been in Syria since November, indicated that he was in contact with Islamic State higher-ups about the images.
"Yassin Salhi beheaded his victim before hanging his head to the factory fence in an effort to give maximum publicity to his act -- he admitted to it during his interrogation," Molins said. "This bears the trademark of the Islamic State group's propaganda, which regularly calls for terrorist attacks to be carried out in La Belle France and, more specifically, to slit unbelievers' throats."
Salhi was seized by firefighters at the Air Products chemicals warehouse. According to Molins, Salhi said he neither remembers beheading his boss nor sending photos.
"According to him, his motive was only personal and not terrorist. One does not exclude the other," Molins said.

"It is not sound to interpret measures which we have taken to secure our border with headlines like 'Turkey is going into a war...Turkey is throwing itself into the fire'," Kalin said.
Turkish newspapers have carried reports that the government is considering creating a buffer zone across the border, days after Erdogan said Turkey would never allow the formation of a Kurdish state along its southern borders.

The chief minister said this while presiding over a meeting which reviewed law and order situation in the province, project of setting up Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control and Communication Center and the measures adopted for elimination of terrorism under national action plan, on Monday.
"Provocative speeches cannot be tolerated and indiscriminate action should be taken under the law against the elements delivering such speeches as there is a need for promoting sentiments of brotherhood, peace and tolerance in the society," the CM held. [NATION.PK] The four Talibs, rubbed out by police and intelligence operatives in a pre-dawn operation in a Pushtun-dominated locality in the suburb of Lahore, have been identified as Al Qaeda affiliates.
Two suspects were also tossed in the clink Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! with bullet injuries.
A police constable sustained bullet wounds during the operation launched in Khan Colony near Ferozwala in Sheikhupura district in the wee hours of Monday.
Officials said the holy warriors were planning attacks on a senior politician in Lahore while a market and a sensitive building were also their targets.
The bullet-riddled bodies were moved to the morgue.
Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada told news hounds the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), Lahore police and intelligence agencies raided a house situated on Kala Shah Kaku Road on a tip-off.
One of the holy warriors detonated a boom jacket, wrapped to his chest, during the crossfire while three others were killed in the shootout, the minister confirmed.
"After initial investigations, we can confirm that they belonged to Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP), an offshoot of the Al-Qaeda having sanctuaries in the northwest.
"
The security personnel also seized three suicide jackets, one rocket launcher, at least five automatic assault rifles and a large cache of bullets besides maps of important buildings from the scene of the crime, police sources claimed.
According to the minister, the intelligence agencies had prior information about the presence of suspected holy warriors in a house.
"As the police vehicles moved close to the site, the holy warriors opened fire on them, using heavy and automatic weapons," he disclosed.
When asked about the identities of the suspects, the minister said that two of the four holy warriors who were rubbed out during the operation belonged to North Wazoo.
Khanzada, however, did not share any details about the injured holy warriors who were arrested from the hideout.
"The security and intelligence agencies are investigating the matter.
This is a very sensitive issue and we cannot share details at this stage because of security concerns," he held.
He further said that raids are underway in different parts of the province to hunt down the accomplices of the terrorists.
A duty officer at Ferozwala cop shoppe confirmed the raid and killings.
He said they had no knowledge about the whereabouts of the holy warriors caught with bullet injuries.
The intelligence agencies had already been put on high alert since they had received secret information that Waziristan-based holy warriors had entered Lahore to launch terror strikes, officials said.
On the other hand, the police have stepped up security sweep across the provincial metropolis while snap checking has been intensified at the entry and exit points of the provincial metropolis.
"Search operations against strangers and suspected elements are underway on the orders of DIG (Operations) Haider Ashraf in Lahore.
At least 16 suspects were detained during the last 12 hours," a police spokesperson said late Monday night.

[Al Ahram] The Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,-appointed attorney general in the Gazoo Strip shut down the offices of the territory's only mobile-phone provider on Tuesday, saying the company, Jawwal, had not paid its taxes.
Police were deployed outside the firm's headquarters and posters were put up on the walls outside reading: "Jawwal Company is closed upon the attorney general's order."
Jawwal is a subsidiary of the Paleostine Telecommunications Co. (PalTel), the largest listed company in the Paleostinian territories. It is the sole provider of mobile phone services in Gazoo, with around 1.3 million clients.
While the offices were closed, Gazooks were still able to use their mobile phones and access the Internet on Tuesday, although it was not clear how long that would continue.
Executives at PalTel rejected the attorney general's accusations, saying all relevant taxes had been paid to the Paleostinian Authority in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where the company is registered and based.
PalTel Chief Executive Ammar Aker said it was not possible to separate tax filings between the two territories.
To do so would fuel division and "may expose national economic institutions that work within an international system to questions and sanctions that may result in grave damage," he said, referring to outside pressure on Hamas, which is listed as a terrorist group by the European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... and the United States.
While the Paleostinian Authority, led by President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ... a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial... , is nominally in charge of Gazoo and the West Bank, Hamas has controlled Gazoo since 2007 and appoints some of its own officials, including the attorney general.
There is a separate attorney general in the West Bank.
PalTel, which also provides fixed-line and Internet access in Gazoo, said it was closing its offices there in solidarity.

The report mentioned that Tehran had done lots of effort to prevent Turkey from supporting the Syrian revolution, one of them was sending a special delegation to warn Turkey that using any Turkish military bases to attack the Syrian regime, would resulted in making the country a target to the Iranian rockets.
The report hinted that a regional concourse attempts had started to be formed to protect the Syrian regime and one of its signs was the closeness between Syria, Iraq and Iran.
Three weeks ago, WikiLeaks posted online 60,000 diplomatic Saudi documents. Most of them appear to be in Arabic.

They might also shed light on Riyadh's longstanding regional rivalry with Iran, its support for Syrian rebels and Egypt's military-backed government, and its opposition to an emerging international agreement on Tehran's nuclear program.

[EN.ZAMANALWSL.NET] A senior Israeli defense official said Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad Light of the Alawites... controlled just a fifth of Syria and may end up in charge of a rump state dominated by his minority Alawite sect.
Israel and its neighbor Syria are long-term enemies, but the remarks by Amos Gilad, strategic adviser to Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, reflect concerns by states across the region that Syria is undergoing a de facto partition after four years of civil war.
"Syria is gone. Syria is dying. The funeral will be declared in due time. This Bashir al-Assad, he will be remembered in history textbooks as the one who lost Syria," Gilad told an intelligence conference organized by the Israel Defense journal on Monday.
"Until now he has lost 75 percent of Syria ... He is, practically, governor of 20 percent of Syria. And his future, if I may predict it, is shrinking all of the time. And maybe we will have him as the president of 'Alawistan'," Gilad added.
Since March, Assad has steadily lost territory in the northwest, south and central Syria to an array of groups including Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... , the al Qaeda-linked Nusra Front, and rebels who profess a more moderate vision for Syria.

You have never walked away from a bad deal.
You only appease.

Obama thought trading 5 terrorists for one deserter was a good deal so I wonder just what a bad deal would look like

Trading those terrorists was simply a way of ridding himself of five more Gitmo inmates that he couldn't find another way to get rid of. A freebie in his liberal mind.
As for the "Bad Deal", well, the emperor would have to recognize it for what it was first.

Remember, this is the guy who believes he can convince anyone about anything. He cannot admit defeat, so he 'moves the narrative' to rationalize any loss.
For review:
"A narcissistic sociopath is someone with a combination of narcissistic personality disorder and definitive behavioral signs of sociopathy.
•People with narcissism are characterized by their excessive and persistent need for others’ admiration and positive reinforcement. They generally have grandiose opinions of themselves and believe they are superior to other people. Narcissists are also frequently convinced that they are above the normal responsibilities and obligations of everyday life, so they usually have significant difficulties maintaining employment or relationships as a result.
•The narcissistic sociopath has this type of personality along with a noticeable lack of regard for the rights of others and a tendency to regularly violate those rights.
One noted difference between a narcissistic sociopath and people with narcissism alone is that:
•The narcissist with the sociopathy reacts strongly and sometimes even violently to negative feedback. True sociopaths generally do not respond to criticism or care what others may think of them.
•A narcissistic sociopath is unable to tolerate criticism and needs constant praise, as well as deference from other people. Many with this condition present themselves in the best light possible and are able to easily charm others to gain their trust."

What deal? Wasn't yesterday the drop dead date?
The problem that too many people have is that they can't get over their idea that this loser is really on America's side.
He isn't and never has been. His definition of a "bad" deal only deals with how it makes him look to himself and his sycophants.

Ah Well this can be explained. It means if no nuclear sites can be expected it is bad deal but if one site they chose is inspected it is a very very good deal.
