[Tolo News] Former Afghan president Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ... A former Baltimore restaurateur, now 12th and current President of Afghanistan, displacing the legitimate president Rabbani in December 2004. He was installed as the dominant political figure after the removal of the Taliban regime in late 2001 in a vain attempt to put a Pashtun face on the successor state to the Taliban. After the 2004 presidential election, he was declared president regardless of what the actual vote count was. He won a second, even more dubious, five-year-term after the 2009 presidential election. His grip on reality has been slipping steadily since around 2007, probably from heavy drug use... has said that Washington is suffering setbacks in the war against terrorism in Afghanistan, therefore the U.S must seek support from countries such as Russia and China to fight insurgency in Afghanistan.
Speaking at a presser in the Russian capital Moscow, Karzai criticized the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan despite the presence of western troops and asked Washington to ask for help from Russian and China in fighting militancy and extremism.
"And this war has now been going on for 13/14 years, without the results that we all expected. Unfortunately, the Afghans suffered heavily in this war on terror. Terrorism and extremism rather than being defeated, or reduced, or eliminated, is steadily and widely on the rise."
In addition, Karzai said that the time has come for the US and its allies come together and talk about the challenges they face in the war on terrorism.
Karzai said the U.S leaders "should explain to the world whether they have failed in the war on terror, or if the war on terror has gotten out of hand."
Karzai stated that the situation in Afghanistan was still critical, adding that the Taliban and Daesh control some regions across the country.

Not unlike other Islamist-Jihadist MilTerr factions, iff AQ's AL-Nusra Boyz aren't fighting + killing its BFF/BFRNF ISIS' fighters, they are hugging + singing "kumbayah" wid same.
WHY SHOULD US-ALLIES EXPECT THE TALIBAN, ETAL. GROUPS IN AFPAK + ISIS/ISIL BE ANY DIFFERENT???
[Tolo News] During a visit to the eastern province of Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. on Saturday, Afghan army chief Maj. General Qadam Shah Shaheem said that holy warriors in the area who operate as Daesh are associated to Taliban. He said only the flag has changed.
Meanwhile, ...back at the desert island, Bert was realizing to his horror that he'd had only one bottle for one message, and he'd forgotten to include a return address... the commander of 201st Selab (Flood) Corps of the Afghan National Army, general Zaman Waziri said that the Afghan National Army was on high alert and ready to confront Daesh in areas where it operates.
A few days ago, Daesh fighters in Nangarhar province banned women from leaving their homes unless they had a Sharia reason.
In the wake of growing security threats in Nangarhar, the army chief visited the province where he held talks with local security officials and soldiers deployed in the area.
"The Taliban has lost its popularity among the people of Afghanistan by plotting kabooms, suicide kabooms and destructive activities. Therefore the Taliban has changed its face and labeled themselves Daesh," Shaheem said.
General Shaheem instructed his forces in the area to do everything necessary to combat the holy warriors in the province.
"I want to reiterate that you [ANA] should fight Daesh with the same sprit you fought the Taliban and eliminate them," Shaheem said.
Joining the army chief, Waziri also instructed the security forces to be prepared to fight the holy warriors.
"On behalf of the security forces in the eastern zone, I assure you that we are completely ready to foil the plots of the holy warriors," Waziri said.
This comes just a week after Daesh in Nangarhar issued a four article pamphlet in which the group banned women from leaving their homes and told tribal elders to settle disputes through Daesh councils instead of through Jirgas.

[AA.TR] Sudanese police say they have freed 47 foreign nationals being held by human traffickers in the east of the country.
Police director of Kassala state in eastern Sudan, General Omer Almukhtar said Saturday that the people were freed after heavy festivities between security forces and traffickers.
The general revealed that the hostages were from Eritrea ...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age... and Æthiopia.
"We clashed with the gang groups at the Bahar area on the border between Sudan and Eritrea and we managed to free the hostages and arrest the perpetrators," he said.
Human trafficking is widespread on the border between Sudan, Eritrea and Æthiopia.
Hundreds of Æthiopian and Eritrean refugees in Sudan have been kidnapped and taken as hostages for ransoms and some human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... organizations have accused officials in the local border authorities in Sudan of participating in the trade.

[IsraelTimes] The Tunisian gunman who opened fire on tourists at a Tunisian beach resort on Friday, killing at least 39 people, most of them tourists, was reportedly a local "break-dancing star" and a fan of Real Madrid.
Footage obtained by Sky News on Saturday showed him walking calmly along the beach. Sky said the clip was filmed after the massacre, and noted that no members of the Tunisian security forces approached him. He was later rubbed out in a confrontation in a side street, the report said.
Authorities identified the attacker as Seifedinne Rezgui, a 23-year-old electrical engineering student from Gaafour, in northwest Tunisia. He was a student at Kairouan University, a city just south of Sousse where the killings occurred.
His bewildered family described a quiet, not-too-religious young man who liked soccer, music and spent time with friends. They said that they last saw him a day before the attack and that nothing seemed amiss.
We were all shocked when we heard the news and saw his picture, and his mother was devastated," an uncle told The Telegraph Saturday.
"Yes, he went to mosque and prayed, but just like the other young men, he would then go to a cafe and play football with his friends. I last saw him on Thursday, he said 'hello', and then he left that night and went to his friend's house. We didn't know where he was going, and there were no goodbye's. The entire family is shocked at the hidden reality of what he was capable of," he added.
According to the report, a Facebook account believed to have belonged to Rezgui showed a love for Real Madrid and rap music, but also an admiration for the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... . Several propaganda videos were also posted to the page.
"He used to use hair gel and wear the nicest of clothes, and he used to break dancing [sic]" the uncle said. "He even used to go to competitions and things like that in Tunis, he was well known for that here. He didn't even have a beard, and I've never seen him with anyone with a beard. Now he's shooting people with a Kalashnikov, it's just so confusing."
On Saturday, the Islamic State, which took responsibility for the attack, circulated a photograph it said was of Rezgui online. He is seated on the floor, smiling and flanked by Kalashnikovs. He was described by the group as a "soldier of the caliphate."
On Friday, the Tunisian press named Seifiddine Yacoubi, also 23 from Kairouan, as the killer. It was not immediately clear if this was the same person, a case of mistaken identity, or an accomplice in the massacre. The killer was rubbed out by Tunisian police at the scene of the massacre.
Rezgui's parents were reportedly incarcerated Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! by police on Saturday.

From the source article, that photo of the murderer walking along the beach needs to be a part of Rantburg's archives. The photo shows 10 male civilians following the man carrying the AK-47. One of the men is apparently using his smart phone to photograph the gunman. The gunman's posture is rather nonchalant. The men following him seem to be posing no threat. Richard Fernandes' comment on pjmedia is telling:
The British Daily Mail has an article headed by a picture showing ISIS gunman Seifeddine Rezgui “with his AK47 – casually passing abandoned inflatables as a group of men keep their distance behind him”. Rezgui isn’t even holding his weapon at the ready. He knew the men only 10 yards behind him wouldn’t sprint the distance to tackle him.
He is walking with the confidence of a wolf among sheep.
One commenter wondered what Someone was doing while this ‘tragedy’ occurred. “How come there was an alarm raised, carrying that machine gun, it was obvious to the onlookers in the picture. Somebody could have prevented another tragedy in the name of this perverse and ancient religion."
On the American side of the Atlantic, Rukmini Callimachi has a long piece in the New York Times describing how [Alex,] a “lonely” American girl was gradually converted to Islam by an ISIS interlocutor on the Internet...The NYT article calls the process enticing the lonely. The other phrase for it is filling the emptied. ”She felt as if she finally had something to do,” Callimachi wrote.
The West is filled with millions of people like Alex, all of them waiting for Someone. They are the product of a multi-decade campaign to deliberately empty people of their culture; to actually make them ashamed of it. They were purposely drained of God, country, family like chickens so they could be stuffed with the latest narrative of the progressive meme machine. The Gramscian idea was to produce a blank slate upon which the Marxist narrative could be written.
Too bad for the Gramscians that the Islamists are beating them to the empty sheets of paper. And they are better at it too.

Well now, I get low and I get high
And go watch the strippers on the sly
Got the wings of heaven on my shoes
I'm a shootin' man and joooos will loose
You know it's all right, it's O.K.
I'll live to see another day.
We can try to understand
The New York Times' effect on man.
Whether you're a brother
Or whether you're a mother,
You're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
Feel my backpack quaking
And ev'rybody shakin'
And we're stayin' alive, stayin' alive.
[IBT] Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said that the IS was merely "bluffing" when it announced the creation of its first wilayat, or governorate, in the Northern Caucasus on June 22.
Aslan Byutukayev, the leader of the Gardens of the Righteous, a suicide bomber battalion, declared his loyalty to IS commander-in-chief Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi saying, "We need to hurry up and unite so we can cut off the heads of the infidels."
Russian media reported Kadyrov derided Byutukayev's announcement that his group would join IS.
"This statement is nothing more than a bluff. I don't think that a few surviving bandits who are still hiding in the woods can provide serious help to radicals from the so-called Iblis State," Kadyrov said, using the Arabic word for "devil" to refer to the terrorist group.
Kadyrov added, "These thugs have no chance at all here ... Nonetheless, we're not ignoring the threat that the Iblis State could pose, and so we will continue working to not allow the spread of this contagion in Chechnya. We will mercilessly destroy devils and bandits."
The Caucasus Emirate has worked as an umbrella group for smaller militant groups in Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia. The terrorist organization is estimated to have around 15,000 members.

[Rudaw] Dusseldorf, GERMANY--A group of Kurdish Peshmerga soldiers finished two weeks of training on anti-tank weapons in Germany on Friday and further training will continue in the Kurdistan Region, a German defense official told Rudaw.
The Peshmerga and a group of Iraqi soldiers were trained on Milan anti-tank missiles at a military camp in Hammelburg in southern of Germany, said the German official.
Commenting on a statement by the German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen last week who said that Germany was training Yezidi fighters, the defense official told Rudaw that they had not been tasked with such training yet.
German military advisors continue working with the Kurdish Peshmerga at a training camp set up by the coalition forces near Erbil last year.

(FSA) against the regime, Kurdish and jihadist forces in Syrian territory, but the military is reluctant to do so, playing for time as the country heads for a new coalition government, official sources told the Hurriyet Daily News.
According to the HDN sources, who asked not to be named, the "active support" which Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu government has been seeking from the military ranges from long-range artillery fire (not only in retaliatory terms) against the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. One source explained the "need" as to "prevent more festivities between the ISIL and the Kurdish forces led by the Democratic Union Party (PYD), prevent the PYD from taking full control over the Turkish-Syrian border and create a safe zone against a new wave of refugees on Syrian territory, no longer in Turkey."
Chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Özel has delayed the government directive with justifications of international law and politics and the uncertainty of reactions from the Bashir al-Assad regime in Syria, as well as from its supporters Russia and Iran, together with the United States.
The government has been conducting dialogue since then to convince the army on its plans.
The contacts with the Americans have provided limited to U.S.-led coalition attacks on ISIL -- limited because Turkey has not opened the Incirlik air base in Adana yet, meaning the jets are taking off from Kuwait and Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. In that context, the actions against ISIL and its contacts with the Syrian regime was discussed between Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu and Russian President Vladimir Putin ...Second and fourth President and sixth of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead... 's Middle East and Africa special envoy, Mikhail Bogdanov, on June 24 in Ankara. The sources said Russia has acknowledged that there could be cooperation between al-Assad and ISIL forces (especially after a series of meetings with them on May 28-31 in Haseke near the Turkish border) regarding the recent westward attack by ISIL and agreed to talk about the situation with Damascus. But there is no information showing that Russia would turn a blind eye to Turkey's active military intervention in Syria.
The situation in Syria, including the fate of al-Assad, was discussed between Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in Baku on June 15, but the key meeting in Ankara with the Turkish decision-makers was held three days later on June 18.

[DAWN] Q: Do you think the BBC's report will have any impact on the cases against the MQM chief?
A: Merely mentioning that a crime has been committed doesn't matter much in the legal realm; what does matter is what one can prove. The report says nothing new; British authorities have already charged Mr Hussain with money laundering and it is known that he stands accused of possessing money beyond his known sources of income. These latest 'revelations' seem to me to be shots in the dark because nothing concrete has been offered so far.
Q: Can news reports be used as evidence in a court of law?
A: Legally speaking, a story based on anonymous sources carries absolutely no weight in a court of law. Whatever charges the BBC news hound has levelled against the MQM and it leaders are just simply part of a narrative, meant for the consumption of the masses.
One needs witnesses, either in the form of personal accounts or legally verifiable documents, to prove a claim. Until that happens, neither government can take action against Mr Hussain and his party over these allegations. Since the interior ministry has formally decided to investigate the accusations and has asked UK to supply material evidence in this regard, only time will tell how authentic the story really is.
If the government of Pakistain can provide documentary proof or present witnesses who will testify that the MQM or its leadership had received money from sources not covered under the law of the land, a case can always be filed. The charge of receiving funds from an enemy country is quite serious and, if proven, can land Mr Hussain and his party in serious trouble. But all this has to be proven in a court of law.

[Dhaka Tribune] A total of 158 Pak Hindu nationals have been issued Indian citizenship while 3,733 were granted Long Term Visas (LTV) since the Narendra Modi led government announced the setting up of Special Task Force in September last year.
According to a report of The Economic Times, 26 camps of the Task Force were organised in 26 districts across India during which 1,681 applications for citizenship and 1,665 for LTV were approved till May this year.
In a statement, an Indian Home Ministry front man said: "While citizenship has been granted to 158 Pak nationals, LTV has been granted to as many as 3,733 Pak nationals during the period," Home Ministry front man said in a statement.
"There are thousands of applications pending before the government for granting visa for a longer term."
Indian Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had approved the setting up of the Task Force under the Joint Secretary (Foreigners) to monitor and expedite processing of citizenship and LTV applications in September last year.
The Task Force, comprising four Consultants, had held interactive sessions in a number of cities across the country having concentrations of Hindus from neighbouring countries to monitor and expedite grant of citizenship and LTV and addressed public grievances, the front man said.
The Indian government has also rolled out an online system for submission of LTV applications by eligible Pak nationals and for its processing by various agencies.
The front man said: "The Pak nationals eligible for LTV can now submit the applications online and it will enable the applicants to track their applications and help in speedy processing.
"The manual system of submission of applications LTV will continue along with the online system for a period of three months but from August one, all applications for LTVs will be received and processed online."
There are about 400 Pak Hindu refugee settlements in cities like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Jaipur while most of the Hindu refugees from Bangladesh live in West Bengal and some in Northeastern states.
There are around 100,000 Hindu refugees from Pakistain, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in India, according to officials.

[AA.TR] The Third Gazoo Freedom Flotilla has left Greece's Crete Island and is expected to come close to the shores of Gazoo within four days, the Freedom Flotilla Coalition said in an official statement Saturday.
Human rights activists from all over the world are aboard the flotilla, who have been joined by an Arab member of the Israeli parliament, Basel Ghattas and Tunisia's former president Mohammed al-Moncef al-Marzouki.
If weather conditions permit and the Israelis don't create any hindrances, it is estimated that the flotilla would arrive in Gazoo between two and four days, the statement added.
More than three boats are part of the flotilla with more than 50 crew members and passengers from about 20 countries.
Yes, four is indeed more than three. Well done, O Anadolu Agency journalist!

[BESTANEWS] After the destructive ISIS occupation and the historical resistance that liberated the town, Kobanê is being reconstructed. Preparations for projects such as zoning, infrastructure, health, minesweeping, education and women's houses continue.
European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... representatives and international institutions have been collecting donations for the reconstruction efforts in Kobanê after the destructive ISIS occupation and the historical liberation of the town. Preparations for projects such as zoning, infrastructure, health, minesweeping, education and women's houses continue.
After 60 European parliamentarians' call for support to Kobanê in April, the European Parliament is hosting the "International Campaign for the Construction of Kobanê" conference in partnership with the Committee on the Reconstruction of Kobanê, Association of Kurdish Employers in Europe (AEEE) and the European United Left-Nordic Green Left group.
AID FOR RECONSTRUCTION
The conference will be held in the European Parliament on July 1, and aims to collect aid for the construction of Kobanê, solve problems experienced by refugees, and assess the situation of the regions recently liberated from ISIS.
European Union representatives, UN officials, and government and NGO representatives will be meeting for the first time for the reconstruction of Kobanê, and Özlem Tanrikulu from the Conference preparation committee stated that the majority of participation would come from the US, Canada, La Belle France, Germany, Italia, England, Belgium, Czech Republic and Scandinavian countries.

[Rudaw] Dozens of murderous Moslems infiltrated into Kobani and collaborated with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... , or ISIS, in Thursday's brutal attack on the Kurdish city of Kobani in Syria which left at least 145 civilians dead, witnesses have come forward to tell Rudaw.
Disguised as Kurdish fighters and members of the Free Syrian Army ... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund... (FSA), ISIS infiltrators passed through Kurdish checkpoints unhindered in what appeared to be a calculated plan to kill as many local people as possible, according to Rudaw's Omar Kalo.
"They spoke fluent Kurdish and it was impossible to suspect that they could be ISIS collaborators," said Kalo received the information from checkpoint security officers.
He said the alleged collaborators entered the city together with thousands of other refugees, mostly Kurds, who had left ISIS stronghold of Raqqa for safety in Kurdish-ruled areas in Kobani, some 140km to the north.
Earlier last week, ISIS issued an order for the Kurdish inhabitants of Raqqa to leave the city after "losing" Tal Abyad to Kurdish and FSA fighters in early June.
"ISIS might have used the refugee convoys as cover to bring in the deadly explosives and ammunition," Kalo said, quoting Kurdish fighters of the People's Protection Units (YPG).
"They told me it had been impossible to question all refugees who came in their thousands," he said referring to checkpoint security.
The recapture of Tal Abyad, known to Kurds as Gire Spi, by anti-ISIS forces in Syria marked a turning point in the fight against the gunnies who lost a crucial gateway to the outside world through neighboring The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... .
Though categorically rejected by Ankara, reports have suggested that ISIS regularly used Tal Abyad for reinforcements and supplies from Turkey.
On Friday, hospital personnel in the Turkish border town of Pirsus told Rudaw dozens of maimed civilians from Kobani had received medical attention and staff were expecting to receive many more.
