[CTVNEWS.CA] An Argentine judge has issued an arrest warrant for Justin Bieber, saying the singer failed to respond to summons related to a 2013 incident in Buenos Aires.
In a resolution released Friday, Judge Alberto Julio Banos ordered the "immediate detention" of Bieber and bodyguards Hugo Alcides Hesny and Terrence Reche Smalls.
Bieber is accused of sending the bodyguards to attack photographer Diego Pesoa outside a Buenos Aires nightclub. Bieber never returned to Argentina ...a country located on the other side of the Deep South. It is covered with Pampers and inhabited by Grouchos, who dance the Tangle. They used to have some islands called the Malvinas located where the Falklands are now. They're not supposed to cry for Evita... to respond to questions about the incident.

Stephen Harper has a chance to cement his legacy with an extradition order.
[MINNESOTA.CBSLOCAL] MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — The Mower County Sheriff’s office is investigating a major theft from a southern Minnesota farm.
Police say someone stole vials of bull semen from a dairy farm in Leroy worth about $70,000.
Many embryos were also taken from the unlocked barn.
The Mower County Sheriff said these kinds of products can bring in a lot of money.
“There is a market for this, a lot of people bid on it or purchase it instead of transporting their animals to and from site,” Mower County Chief Deputy Mark May said. “They can purchase this vial of bull semen and inseminate their cow, and I guess it’s just a more reliable way to do it.”
Bull semen is usually sold to breeders in .25 mL straws. Assuming a cost of $10 per straw, $70,000 of bull semen would be enough to fill a little less than four pint glasses.

Dr. Amy Mainzer, astronomer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, USA, named Asteroid 316201 after Malala.

The big news this week is the National Rifle Association meeting in Tennessee. Over the past week I have read a number of snide accounts and remarks about firearms, or accounts of those accounts, nearly all of them from leftists and nearly all of them trading in false or ginned up information.
At the moment, it appears the ATF will be tweaking the definition of "sporting use" firearms with a view of banning "certain types of ammunition", a code word for Russian made ammunition, I suspect. But in the linked article, it appears to affect all shotguns with a pistol grip ever made.
The usual hilarity from both the left and right ensued, but I failed to notice if anyone else noticed that this is likely a sop for Connecticut's political leadership addressing the political loggerheads they have encountered in enforcing the AR ban in Connecticut.
At last count, the compliance ratio is about 18 percent, making the law an embarrassing failure. Any more demands from the local Connecticut press to enforce the law now probably will be met with howls of laughter from both inside and outside the state.
I have even read a Facebook post from a female about how she will get a concealed permit, just so she can open fire on anyone she spots with a weapon. Maybe if enough leftists do this, we can begin to refresh the tree of liberty. Such a shame we must start of loudmouthed, petty tyrants.

Locally there seems to be an increase in interest in Conceal Carry Class, as it should be. Wife and I had different instructors, but in the class they both talked about the requires - safety, handling, practice - but also about the law and interaction with it. Stuff like, keep your damn hands on the steering wheel until the LEO gives instructions. Where you can and cannot go. What exactly is your legal right to protect yourself according to Kansas law. The goofball anti-CCC (Constitutional Conceal Carry) who wants to gut a gun and CC so she can shoot somebody she sees with a gun is A+ clown shoes. First, if a person is doing it right, she won't see a gun. Second, with this bill, the only people who will OC are LEOs. Third, according to Kansas law, instigating a fight which results in the instigator using a firearm puts the instigator in the wrong. Actually, that person is a threatening serial killer. Change the descripter to say, anyone who is wearing basketball shoes, has a hat, you get it.

Zhang has unquestionably left a mark on Chinese strategy in the new century. For example, in 2009 he cautioned that China should avoid any major involvement in the South China Sea dispute, observing that such an approach might distract from the central goal of unification with Taiwan.

Zhang continues to be a prolific writer. A lengthy essay of his appeared in a late 2014 issue of the prestigious Chinese academic journal International Politics. I think he is wrong about the South China Sea. China dependent on oil from the Gulf, which could go hot at any time. Indications are there is enough oil and gas in the SCS to replace their Gulf import, and who is going to stop them?
[Breitbart London] Eurozone countries are drawing up secret documents to force Greece out of the single currency, a memo from the Finnish finance ministry has revealed.
The monetary alliance is preparing to act should Greece be declared bankrupt next month. That will happen unless the eurozone agrees to pay aid to the beleaguered country within the next three weeks, according to a report in The Times.
The document warns of "very difficult political decisions" this spring as the left-wing government flirts with Russia over financial assistance rather than continue to call on Germany. The Finns have not forgotten 'The Winter War.'

[BBC] Germany plans to bring 100 mothballed tanks back into service in what is widely seen as a response to rising tensions with Russia over Ukraine.
The tanks were sold to industry as part of defence cuts after the Cold War. The German defence ministry said it would spend €22m (£16m;$24m) on bringing its total of tanks to 328.

Pakistain is notorious for sexual abuse of women, euphemistically known as "Eve-teasing". Offenders often go unpunished within a legal system that can treat the victims as the guilty party.
