[NYPOST] As cops were being threatened and assaulted and the city reeled over the execution of two officers, Mayor Bill de Blasio ostentatiously prayed at St. Patrick's Cathedral Sunday -- then bravely went into hiding.
Police Commissioner Bill Bratton visited the scene of the horrific attack in Brooklyn and Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo paid a wrenching condolence call at the home of one of the slain cops, but de Blasio ran from reporters and was nowhere to be found after the church service.
Sonny Cuomo is almost, not quite as, almost as guilty as de Blasio...
He showed up for 10:15 am Mass with his wife, Chirlane McCray, and Bratton, with all three piously sitting in a front-row pew as Cardinal Timothy Dolan urged prayers for the slain cops' families, the NYPD -- and the embattled mayor.
What's a good communist like de Blasio doing in a church?
Dolan asked Bratton to tell cops that "we love them very much, we mourn with them, we need them, we respect them, we're proud of them and we thank them."
Reporters were then told to leave the church early for a nearby news conference with the mayor, but de Blasio -- who was snubbed by scores of cops at Woodhull Hospital on Saturday -- scooted out after the service and bravely ignored questions as he hopped into an SUV.
What's complicated about this? He's on the other side.

[DAILYCALLER] Democratic New York City mayor Bill de Blasio launched a disgusting attack on the New York Police Department officers that symbolically turned their backs on him before a presser to address the shooting deaths of officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.
Ramos and Liu were bumped off in cold blood, execution-style, by Ismaaiyl Brinsley, 28, as retribution for the recent deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. de Blasio infamously encouraged protests against his own police department in the aftermath of the grand jury's decision not to indict the officers in the Garner case.
"Mayor de Blasio, the blood of these two officers is clearly on your hands," said Sergeants Benevolent Association police union president Edward Mullins.
"That blood on their hands starts on the steps of City Hall in the office of the mayor," said Pat Lynch, president of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association.
Police union members turned their backs on de Blasio when he entered a presser after the shooting.
How did de Blasio's office respond? By attacking the officers.
"It's unfortunate that in a time of great tragedy, some would resort to irresponsible, overheated rhetoric that angers and divides people," de Blasio front man Marti Adams said in a statement following the union leaders' remarks.

The very definition of irony... "It's unfortunate that in a time of great tragedy, some would resort to irresponsible, overheated rhetoric that angers and divides people"
A top adviser to Mayor Bill de Blasio is in a live-in relationship with a convicted killer and drug trafficker who considers police officers “pigs” and continues to get into serious scrapes with the law, public records show. For six years, Rachel Noerdlinger , who serves as chief of staff to first lady Chirlane McCray, has been living with boyfriend Hassaun McFarlane, sources told The [NY] Post. While McCray, accompanied by Noerdlinger, enjoys attending high-level NYPD CompStat meetings, her top aide’s boyfriend has plenty of serious crime stats of his own — a rap sheet that includes homicide, conspiring to run a cocaine operation, and nearly running a cop off the road in Edgewater, NJ, last year in an incident that was later pleaded down to disorderly conduct.
Still, the administration is sticking by him, despite what DNAinfo.com, which broke the story, described as online posts — since taken down — in which he repeatedly called cops “pigs.”
“Rachel’s not going anywhere,” de Blasio spokeswoman Rebecca Katz said when asked if Noerdlinger would be asked to step down.
“No one at City Hall condones criminal behavior or disparagement of the NYPD, including Rachel,” Katz said in an emailed statement.“Rachel is her own person. She is a strong, independent woman who possesses a core set of values and beliefs that align with this administration.”

"She is a strong, independent woman who possesses a core set of values and beliefs that align with this administration."
That "core set of values and beliefs that align with this administration" include shacking up with a convicted killer/drug pusher who calls cops "pigs," so apparently DeBlasio, et al., approve of and are "aligned" with that.
Good to know.
