In a conference call today, President Barack Obama endorsed Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) in her bid to win her Senate seat, which she has held for more than a decade, against Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
The endorsement will most likely serve as a burden for Landrieu, rather than an asset, as a majority of Louisiana voters do not approve of Obama’s agenda and the way he has handled Obamacare or the economy.
Landrieu has spent her entire re-election avoiding Obama and his policies, which she has largely supported. Exit polling in the November Senate race, showed that there are 5 issues that Louisianians care most about.

I don't get it. The good ship Mary is already sinking slowly. An endorsement from Barry is a hit below waterline. Not gonna help her. What's in it for the Prez?

As is so often said, "the Champ sees things as he wishes them to be, not as they actually are." He will never accept the fact that his endorsement is millstone pulling her to the bottom. The king's favor is not to be questioned.

Mrs,. Glenmore went to a Town Hall early in the Obamacare rollout. Hosted by mary, with four cabinet secretaries there, including Sibelius. Mary was the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but she did not deliver the supportive audience they needed. Subsequent meetings were by invitation only.

The latest anti-Landrieu ad is a very professionally done spot featuring a little girl at a spelling bee. The question to her is "How do you spell "Landrieu", and the little girl answers "O-B-A-M-A". One of the judges says "Close enough!"
Cassidy will have commercials out about the Champ's endorsement before I finish typing this.

I expect we'll see more of this from 0. He knows his presidency is over. He's now teeing up his post presidential career. He doesn't have a ranch to retire to, the ability to build houses for others, nor the class to keep his mouth shut. In fact, the only "skill" he has is running his mouth. Look for the only community organizer with a Secret Service detail to overshadow Al as the world's community organizer. He knows it's the only way he can make his presidency look good. Relatively.

Don Cravins, Democrat mayor, “If you early voted, go vote again tomorrow. One more time’s not going to hurt. Tomorrow we’re going to elect [Democrat] Earl Tayor as [District Attorney], so he won’t prosecute you if you vote twice.”

A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
