"The Taliban attack on Wardoj has created a problem in the area. We have sent more reinforcements," he said, adding, "We have also lost contact with 17 of our police forces, we are trying to establish connections with them again."
Meanwhile, ...back at the the conspirators' cleverly concealed hideout the long-awaited message arrived. They quickly got to work with their decoder rings... provincial police front man, Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, said Afghan cops are trying to find their colleagues.
"We have surrounded the Taliban in Wardoj. So far, 10 Taliban, including foreign nationals, and two police have been killed," he said.

[Libya Herald] A boom-mobilewent kaboom! this morning in Tobruk, marking the first attack actually inside the town where the House of Representatives is currently based.
Explosives in the vehicle were detonated near the security headquarters. Though there have been reports on one person being injured, the authorities have been saying that no one was hurt in the blast. The kaboom was said to have been heard over a wide area.
If the bomber managed to penetrate the tight police and army security ring around the town with a vehicle containing explosives, it will shake those who had thought that Tobruk was well protected.
However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... it is possible that the boom-mobile was assembled in the town, perhaps using home-made explosives.
The only other attack on Tobruk, on the airbase outside the town happened in June. Five Grad rockets ...Soviet-developed 122-mm rockets, usually launched from trucks. Newer versions are reported to have a range of up to 30 km.... were fired remotely using a mobile telephone. All landed in open ground, two in the airbase itself and three close to nearby houses. There were no casualties and no serious damaged caused.

[Libya Herald] Pro-government forces fighting under the banner of the Libyan National Army (LNA) have again called for the evacuation of residents from Benghazi's Sabri district as fierce festivities continued throughout the city.
Reports from medical sources indicated that as many as 28 individuals had been killed in Benghazi yesterday over a period of 24 hours.
Mohammed Hejazi the front man of Operation Dignity, which works under the auspices of the army, told the Libya Herald that residents in Sabri needed to leave for their own safety. He said as LNA forces advanced from the eastern and western entrances of the city Ansar al-Sharia ...a Salafist militia which claims it is not part of al-Qaeda, even though it works about the same and for the same ends. There are groups of the same name in Libyaand Yemen, with the Libyan versions currently most active. Tunisia's Shabaab al-Tawhid started out an Ansar al-Sharia and changed its name in early 2014. It still uses the old name now and then, probably because the stationery's not all used up and the web site hasn't expired yet... and its allies were being pushed into Gwarsha and Sidi Faraj.
"Ansar snipers are in Sabri and Shara Al-Khutut," he said. "They are putting their vehicles next to private homes to prevent them being hit."
Repeating his calls for residents to leave their homes he said the LNA would target any homes where Ansar al-Sharia was present. He added that in the Sabri district local people had been helping government forces locate and arrest Islamists and their supporters. He claimed that many members of Ansar al-Sharia had surrendered over across the city but would not say how many. "We treat them well and in accordance with Islam," he said.
Elsewhere in the city, Hejazi said, LNA helicopters had carried out Arclight airstrikes on Ansar positions. A checkpoint in Buatni had been hit, destroying vehicles and, he believed, killing Ansar fighters. In Gwarsha four Ansar al-Sharia gun-mounted vehicles were also destroyed.
The home in the Salmani district of an Ansar commander, Jalal Makhzoum, had been attacked and burned by locals, he said. Makhzoum was, however, not present. He is believed to be in Turkey for medical attention.
The fighting in and around the university has continued and one member of 204 Tank Brigade, named as Haithem Mousa Al-Khafafi, was reported killed during the festivities yesterday. The LNA also reported that a 17 February Brigade leader, Ali Faraj Al-Magasabi was captured at the same time. Rockets were also falling in nearby the Tabalino district by Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... Bridge.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter wished he had a cup of coffee. Even instant would do... the headless body of a member of the Qadaffy regime's security apparatus, Mohammed Yacoub Lamami, was found in the Hawari district. It is not known when he was killed.

[Al Ahram] The armed forces stormed an Egyptian university campus premises for the first time on Tuesday, after student protests and the belief that five homemade bombs were on campus in students' possession.
The army has never been part of the forces facing the ongoing protests by students, most of whom are supporters of ousted islamist president Mohammed Morsi, but has been entitled to interfere after a law issued earlier this week, allowing the military to assist the police in guarding vital public facilities.
The law was issued after a brazen attack on the army in northern Sinai Peninsula, killing 31 troops and injuring 30 others, in the deadliest single assault in decades.
Students protesting at Mansoura University called for the release of their detained colleagues and denounced sending soldiers to the volatile borders, Al-Ahram's Arabic news website reported. In a phone interview with private television channel Al-Hayat, the head of the university, Mohammed El-Qennawi said those students tossed in the calaboose Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! will be investigated, then expelled.
"These students had bombs on campus, we cannot deal with them with leniency," El-Qennawi said.
At least one armoured military vehicle entered campus grounds, according to a student witness, police also entered the campus and fired tear gas to disperse the students, arresting a number of them.
"As soon as the protesting students started demonstrating and firing fireworks, police entered the campus presmises and started apprehending students," Salah Mohsen, a student at the university told Ahram Online.
On Monday, Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said that school children and university students accused of sabotaging educational facilities will be tried by military courts per the new law.
The new law was issued by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, who holds supreme legislative power in the absence of a parliament, which authorities say will be elected by the end of this year.

[DAWN] India's top counter-terrorism agency has uncovered a suspected plot by a banned myrmidon group to assassinate the prime minister of Bangladesh and carry out a coup, three senior Indian security officials told Rooters on Tuesday.
India will hand over a dossier to Bangladesh with details of the plan by members of the Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, which has carried out scores of attacks in India's eastern neighbour, the government and police officials said.
Bangladesh did not comment directly on the assertions that Prime Minister the loathesome Sheikh Hasina ...Bangla dynastic politician and current Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She has been the President of the Bangla Awami League since the Lower Paleolithic. She is the eldest of five children of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father of Bangla. Her party defeated the BNP-led Four-Party Alliance in the 2008 parliamentary elections. She has once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia show such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums.. had been the target of a plot, but said it had tightened security on the border with India.
The alleged conspiracy was discovered after two members of the group were killed in an kaboom while building homemade bombs at a house in West Bengal in eastern India earlier this month.
Indian police say the snuffies were Bangladeshis and were using India as a safe haven to plan the attacks.
"The strategy was to hit the politicians of the country and demolish the democratic infrastructure of Bangladesh," said a senior Indian Home (interior) Ministry official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
"This was all being planned on Indian soil and we could have been blamed if there was an attack."
Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Monday visited the house where the blasts took place and met West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to discuss the situation.

[Ynet] Turkish premier Davutoglu says while only ground operation could save border town, Turkey would not commit troops.
Iraqi peshmerga fighters left Iraq for the besieged Syrian town of Kobani on Tuesday to help fellow Kurds in their battle against Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... myrmidons, a senior Kurdish official said.
Hemin Hawrami, a bigwig in the Kurdistan Democratic Party, wrote on his Twitter feed that peshmerga fighters were flying from Arbil airport to Turkey, from where they would travel by land to Kobani.
US warplanes have been bombing Islamic State positions near Kobani for weeks, but Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said air strikes alone would not be enough to repel the Lion of Islams.
"Saving Kobani, retaking Kobani and some area around Kobani from ISIS, there's a need for a military operation," he said in an interview with the BBC broadcast on Tuesday.
But made clear neither Turkey nor Western allies would commit troops.
"If they (international coalition) don't want to send their ground troops, how can they expect Turkey to send Turkish ground troops with the same risks on our border," Davutoglu said.
Because, my dear Turkish Prime Minister, it is precisely on your border that the danger lies... and perhaps subsequently within your former border, unless you do something effective about it. I realize you think that because your army is Turkish, whereas the ISIS army is made up of Arabs, therefore yours is fated by genetics to win, but have the Turks ever in history so completely removed their cleverest and bravest fighting men from the fight?
Turkey has been reluctant to join the US-led coalition against Islamic State, an al-Qaeda offshoot. But after pressure from its Western allies, President Tayyip Erdogan said last Wednesday that some peshmerga fighters from Iraq would be allowed to transit through Turkey to Kobani.
The town has been encircled by Islamic State fighters for more than a month and the battle to save it has become a test of the US-led coalition's strategy for halting the radical Sunni Moslem group's advance.
Not to mention a test of the much-claimed invincible ISIS advance. It's rather like how Saddam Hussein's generals assumed they were mighty warriors, the match for anything America could throw at them, because they held Iran's child soldiers to a standstill. They were shown otherwise in the two Gulf wars, and now they are being shown again by a semi-pro armed force that's one third girlz and only partly Muslim.

Press is covering this up by DELIBERATELY not reporting it, because it shows complete and utter incompetence in the White House.
The damage to the Republic the press is doing by becoming a political activist instead of informative reporting is massive. They are becoming a Domestic Enemy. As in all enemies, foreign and domestic ...
A day of reckoning is coming, reporters and editors. If it involves ropes and lamposts, or people up against the wall, you should be first and foremost at risk of being dragged from your homes and offices...

Obama's too busy trying to hack the Tea Party to worry about Russians hacking him.
I may have said it before, all Russian IP addresses should be fire walled. That is to say, all of the internet backbone nodes in this country should have firewall software that prevents access by people with computers that have Russian IP addresses. The same goes for China and Ukraine. I might add Malaysia, Pakistan, North Korea and some others. But the top three offenders in my experience are China, Russia and Ukraine. It wouldn't stop them altogether because they have most certainly compromised computers in other countries that they can use for their nefarious activities. But it would be a start and it might be incentive for them to clean up their act. And yes, it would be bad for business but that's just tough if they want to play that way. It'd be bad for their business too.
I think if we looked long and hard enough at what we have in common with Russia instead of trying to pick a fight over piss ant countries like Ukraine and Syria we could work with them in a lot of productive endeavors. I think even Nixon and Brezhnev worked better together than Obama and Putin but then Nixon understood them a lot better than Obama does. Nixon knew that you cannot trust Russians without verification. He would have known they can't be trusted on the Internet either.
Also, the White House should have its own firewall and those computers certainly have log files that should be carefully scrutinized every day for any hint of suspicious activity. That's why I think that whoever is in charge of IT at the White House should be fired for incompetence and negligence, even if that buck stops at Obama's desk.
[WASHINGTONTIMES] The White Houseâs computer network has been hacked, with some temporary outages experienced in the executive office of the president, a White House official said Tuesday. Ohfergawdsake.
The anonymous official told Reuters that there has been suspicious cyber activity on an unclassified White House network, but would not say who was responsible for the activity.
"In the course of assessing recent threats we identified activity of concern on the unclassified EOP network. Any such activity is something that we take very seriously. In this case we took immediate measures to evaluate and mitigate the activity," the official told the wire service.

[IsraelTimes] A US judge on Monday sentenced an Indian man to 15 years in prison for conspiracy and attempting to provide weapons to Leb's Hezbollah movement, designated by Washington as a terrorist group.
Patrick Nayyar, a 50-year-old living illegally in New York, was tossed in the clink Keep yer hands where we can see 'em, if yez please! in 2009 and found guilty by a jury in March 2012. He was sentenced to 15 years in jail by District Judge Robert Sweet.
He was convicted of agreeing to supply an FBI undercover agent with guns, ammunition, vehicles, bulletproof vests and night vision goggles between July and September 2009.
Before his arrest, he supplied a pistol, pick-up truck and box of ammunition to the agent, whom he thought would deliver the items to Hezbollah in Leb.
An alleged co-conspirator, Conrad Mulholland, 47, is not a US citizen and left the country before charges were filed. He remains on the lam, the prosecutor's office said.
[DAWN] A one and half year old child was killed while at least seven people were maimed in a hand grenade kaboom near an Imambargah ...since Pakistain is very religiously correct, Shia Moslems can't call their houses of worship 'mosques,' which are reserved for Sunnis. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... 's Ayesha Manzil area on Tuesday night, DawnNews reported.
Initial reports suggest that a Muharram majlis for women was taking place at Islamic Research Center (IRC) Imambargah at the time of the blast. Most of the injured are women and kiddies.
Rescue officials have shifted the injured to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Eye witnesses say that unknown miscreants hurled the cracker inside the Imambargah from over a nearby flyover bridge. According to bomb disposal squad, however, the blast was of a Russian-made hand grenade.
Security forces and police have cordoned off the area.
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Police Ghulam Qadir Thebo said that unidentified cycle of violence riders threw the hand grenade from the flyover. He said that police were deployed at the Imambargah at the time of the blast.
Majlis Wahdatul Moslemeen (MWM) has condemned the attack, seeking more security to Shia mourners during the holy month of Muharram. "We demand full security to the mourners from Sindh government," said Allama Raja Nasir Abbas of MWM.
He also demanded a swift arrest of the culprits behind the attack.
Condemning the attack on mourners, Muttahida Qaumi Movement ...English: United National Movement, generally known as MQM, is the 3rd largest political party and the largest secular political party in Pakistain with particular strength in Sindh. From 1992 to 1999, the MQM was the target of the Pak Army's Operation Cleanup leaving thousands of urdu speaking civilians dead... (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that hard boyz want to incite sectarian violence in the country. He termed the attack on women's majlis a cowardly act.
Demanding further steps from the government to beef up security of the mourners, Hussain urged Islamic holy mans to show unity in order to promote sectarian harmony.
It may be mentioned that security has been beefed up across the country including Karachi in a bid to thwart terror attacks in the month of Muharram.
On Sunday, police in Karachi claimed that they killed nine suspected bad boys, who according to them were planning to target Muharram related events.
Main Ashura procession among other Muharram events have been attacked in Karachi in the past as well.

It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... international airport in June that left 38 dead, officials said on Tuesday.
The brazen attack on the Pakistain's busiest airport was claimed by the Pak Taliban and lead to the collapse of peace talks with the government and the launch of a long awaited army offensive against bully boy hideouts in the North Wazoo tribal agency.
Three suspects were arrested Monday night after a forth man who were tossed into the calaboose earlier led the police to his accomplices, police said.
"We arrested all of them from different places in Karachi and they belonged to a banned group linked with Al Qaeda," Raja Umar Khatab, a senior police official, told AFP.
Police say that the four men arranged 20 million rupees ($194,000) to fund the attack.
"They sent the money to the bordering areas to finance the training and acquiring weapons for the attack," Khatab said.
Ten murderous Moslems lay siege the airport on a Sunday night in June holding control of the area until dawn. They stormed the terminal disguised as airport guards equipped with boom jackets, grenades and rocket launchers.

[Iran Press TV] Iraqi armed forces have surrounded the northern city of Baiji as they gear up to liberate the strategic oil-rich city from the ISIL Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... bully boys, Press TV reports.
On Tuesday, Iraqi forces were stationed around the city, located some 210 kilometers (130 miles) north of the capital, Baghdad, in a bid to isolate and choke off the ISIL members, who are fighting hard to defend their positions inside the city.
The development came after Iraqi troops backed by Shia volunteer forces took control of al-Hajjaj and Abu To'ma villages south of Baiji earlier in the day. They also cleared a main road further west.
The Iraqi army has been conducting operations to retake Baiji, which hosts the Arab country's biggest oil refinery.
Local security forces, who remain in control of Baiji oil refinery, have thwarted ISIL attacks on the facility several times.
The new military operations come shortly after Iraqi soldiers, backed by Shia volunteers, successfully drove out the last batch of ISIL Takfiri forces of Evil from the town of Jurf al-Sakhar, which sits on a major road linking Baghdad to oil-rich provinces in the south.

Make no mistake, this is a genocidal attempt against the Kurdish people to erase their culture. I am becoming more and more convinced Erdogan and the Turks are tacitly backing ISIS in this, because the Turks are, as history proves, genocidal assholes.
Arm the Kurds - in Kurdistan: Syria, Iraq, Iran AND Turkey.
Of all the cultures over there, the Kurds are more like Americans than any other I encountered. We should be wholeheartedly and completely supporting them (with some provisos against the remnants of the Communist elements of the PKK). We've known these people and their culture since we established the NoFly zone decades ago. Why is our President and State Dept so reluctant to support one of the true friends we have in the region? Why is this administration favoring the Turks now that the mask is off of them? Why is the press letting them get away with it?
The American Public needs to know about the plight of the Kurds, and their willingness to fight for their freedom.

Fuck the Turks. Its time we realized that since they abandonded Ataturk's ways, and Erdogan has been running things, Turkey is no longer an ally, but a hostile power, who seems determined to become an enemy.
So be it. Support the Greeks against the Turks. And arm the hell out of the Kurds so they can liberate their homelands inside of Turkey, and get their own nation, just like the Armenians (victims of Turkish genocide) did.
#6
Why is our President and State Dept so reluctant to support one of the true friends we have in the region?
Because the Kurds are most like Americans?
These women are outstanding young freedom fighters. They have spirit. They keep their weapons clean and in good working order. They are fighting for their homes and family and friends. They understand the true nature of these genocidal maniacs who worship killing and death. The Kurds understand the need for killing them.

You'd trade some of our wimpy, whiny, liberal art female for women who get it? Of course, they'd want men who get it, so we may have some kind of standoff here.

[Iran Press TV] The Lebanese army has deployed more forces to the Bab al-Tabbaneh neighborhood of the northern city of Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... .
Military sources said on Tuesday that the troops were deployed to bolster the army's presence in the port city after it gained full control over the neighborhood.
Heavy festivities between the country's army and the snuffies raged for several days in Bab al-Tabbaneh, claiming the lives of at least 16 and displacing thousands of people from the violence-ravaged district.
Bab al-Tabbaneh had for long been a stronghold of Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... terrorists. Following the raids, the Lebanese army discovered several arms depots and an ammunition factory in the neighborhood.
Meanwhile, ...back at the the conspirators' cleverly concealed hideout the long-awaited message arrived. They quickly got to work with their decoder rings... the country's military forces have intensified their operations in the region in an attempt to capture runaway Lebanese soldiers who defected from the army and joined the Takfiri bully boys.
Over 30 people suspected of having links with the Takfiri snuffies have been enjugged Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! in the recent days, the country's military sources say.
The Lebanese army also arrested two notorious Takfiri snuffies accused of beheading captive Lebanese soldiers last week.
The al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra ...the current nom de guerre of al-Qaeda in the Levant, which isn't to be confused with al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Levant... Front and the ISIL Takfiri snuffies overran the city of Arsal, situated 124 kilometers (77 miles) northeast of the capital Beirut in August, abducting more than three dozen soldiers and security forces. They have executed at least three of the hostages.
The Takfiri holy warriors demand the release of a number of snuffies in Lebanese jails in exchange for the captive Lebanese soldiers and coppers.
Over the past months, Leb has been suffering from terrorist attacks by al-Qaeda-affiliated snuffies as well as random rocket attacks, which are viewed as a spillover of the conflict in Syria.

[IsraelTimes] Syrian rebels led by al-Qaeda loyalists launched a major assault on the government-held city of Idlib Monday in a bid to consolidate their control over the northwest, a monitoring group said.
Rebels seized control of most of Idlib province early in the three-and-a-half-year-old civil war but troops have held out in the lovely provincial capital, resupplied by air.
Fighters of al-Qaeda affiliate al-Nusra ...the current nom de guerre of al-Qaeda in the Levant, which isn't to be confused with al-Qaeda in Iraq and the Levant... Front and Islamist rebel units attacked the city from all sides, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
"Since dawn, fierce fighting has raged at army checkpoints all around Idlib city," said the Britannia-based monitoring group, which has a wide network of sources inside Syria.
At least five rebel fighters were killed, the Observatory said, adding that it had no immediate word on any army losses.
Rebels made a previous attempt to take the city earlier this year but Monday's assault was "unprecedented, the biggest since the beginning of the revolt" in 2011, Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman told AFP.
Abdel Rahman said that the rebels had activated sleeper cells inside Idlib to launch attacks on the army behind its lines.
He said coppers who sympathized with the rebels joined the holy warriors in a brazen attack on a key official building in the city.
"Policemen backed by sleeper cell members of al-Nusra ...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli sh-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ... , already inside the city, attacked the governorate building but they were quickly pushed back out by regime forces," said Abdel Rahman.
Before the Syria war broke out, the city of Idlib was home to 165,000 people but the population has increased with the arrival of hundreds of thousands of displaced people from other parts of the country.
Idlib province lies on the border with Turkey and has long been one of the rebels' principal supply routes.
As a result, rebel fighters in the province are generally better armed and equipped than their counterparts elsewhere in Syria who have suffered a series of setbacks at the hands of the regime this year.
