The sister of the Boston Marathon bombers was arrested Wednesday afternoon for making phone threats to a woman in Harlem.
Aliana Tsarnaev, 23, was charged with aggravated harassment and was awaiting arraignment. She was placed in custody after surrendering at the 30th Precinct stationhouse in Harlem, police said. No other details were immediately provided by NYPD officials.
Why hasn't her brother been brought to trial? Seems like a long time ago...

Why hasn't her brother been brought to trial? Seems like a long time ago... Posted by ryuge
Good question. My guess is he'll never be brought to trial. The entire Tsarnaev affair harbors a rather pungent order. No sense stirring the pot and exposing details, especially at a time when regime popularity is lower than whale kak. Besides, like ISIS, the Tsarnaev's were only JV terrorists.

From the article, the reason ryuge put it in Lurid Crime Tales:
The alleged victim, who lives in Harlem and has children with TsarnaevÂ’s boyfriend, told cops Tsarnaev called her Monday and made the threat as part of an ongoing feud, a police source told the Daily News.
From the writeup he was heroic, though had he withdrawn and been replaced by a less damaged unit he and most of his men might have lived with no adverse effect on the battle. That's why "retreat" and "tactical withdrawal" are a part of the manual.
The Civil War was so long and so bloody because there were lots of men who were gallant and brave and often foolhardy, led by officers who were amateurs. When they finally got around to picking Grant to command, his strategy was pretty close to the one advocated by Old Fuss 'n' Feathers at the start of the war.
151 years later a medal of any sort does him no good. He's still moulderin' in the grave. You could easily pick someone from the War of 1812, decide that he, too, was heroic, and pin a medal on his memory.
It's an exercise in pointless feel-goodery, with no disparagement of the officer's heroism intended.

All due respect to the recipient and his heroism, this isn't about him, its political theater and photo for a badly failing administration that uses every tool of government for image and political purpose. They have no idea that the power they exercise was meant to enable them to serve the American people in faithful stewardship to the Constitution, not their own aggrandizement, ego and crony theft of the public treasury. Shameful, but they wouldn't know shame or honor if it hit them with a 2x4.
Ebola gets out in India? What could go wrong? The enormity of the Ebola outbreak hit home on Tuesday as 112 Indians and four Nepalese arrived in the country on different flights from Liberia. This West African country has seen over 600 deaths so far and is the worst affected. Till late in the night, 88 people had arrived -- 71 in Mumbai and 17 in Delhi. More were on their way on different commercial flights.
Health ministry sources said of the 17 passengers who arrived at the Delhi airport, one person has been found to have fever and sore throat which is associated with Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) besides other diseases. "The passenger suspected for EVD has been quarantined at the Airport Health Organisation (APHO), a specialized health centre run by the health ministry to screen international passengers for deadly diseases. We have sent the passenger's blood sample for test," said a ministry official.
At least six others, including two women and a child, were taken to APHO for detailed health screening and officials later claimed they did not have any symptoms of the disease. In addition, five passengers from routine flights from the affected countries -- Sierra Leone, Republic of Guinea and Nigeria -- with symptoms of fever have been quarantined at the isolation facility at Delhi airport, said health ministry sources.

the WHO with a budget of $4.2 billion have abandoned their regular updates on new infections / deaths
the infection numbers have been growing at about 150% every 2 weeks. at that rate, in six months a million people per month will be getting it
#4
India in general would be conducive to the spread of Ebola. Especially in the cities, in the slums. If it gets out in India things will get really nasty. No posdible way to contain it.

The Indians are almost certainly small traders and possibly some of their families. Liberians aren't generally very happy with them, any more than they were with the Lebanese before them, and as far as I know social interactions are minimal. My guess would be that none of the Indians had been invited to Liberian funerals, or cared for sick Liberians. The main question--and I've heard both yes and no--is can they have been infected by handling objects (e.g. coins) previously handled by someone infected?

[Bangla Daily Star] A Narayanganj court yesterday placed five members of Rapid Action Battalion-11, locked away Book 'im, Mahmoud! on Tuesday night, on an eight-day remand in connection with the sensational seven-murder in Narayanganj late in April.
The five told the court that they had been forced to get involved in the abduction and killing by their superior officers -- Lt Col Tareque Sayeed Mohammad, Maj Arif Hossain and Lt Commander MM Rana -- who had been arrested earlier, court sources said.

Ebonics gone Bangla: bad name for a river. But we still love you, RAB.
[BLOOMBERG] Argentina ...a country located on the other side of the Deep South. It is covered with Pampers and inhabited by Grouchos, who dance the Tangle. They used to have some islands called the Malvinas located where the Falklands are now. They're not supposed to cry for Evita... 's peso slumped to a record low in the parallel market, deepening its slide since last month's default and prompting government officials to say holdout creditors are behind a speculative attack.
The peso in the so-called blue-chip swap market, used by investors who buy peso securities and sell their dollar equivalents abroad to skirt currency controls, plunged 2.2 percent to 12.9541 per dollar at 4:04 p.m. Buenos Aires time and extending its decline since the default to 22 percent. The currency in the black market weakened 1.3 percent to a record low 14.38 per dollar.
Argentina defaulted last month for the second time in 13 years after the country was blocked from making debt payments because President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner refused to comply with a U.S. judge's order to also pay about $1.5 billion to a group of holdout creditors from an earlier default in 2001. Creditors including Elliott Management Corp., which is demanding payment in court, refused to accept losses of about 70 percent in debt restructurings following the earlier default and have spurned subsequent offers on similar terms.
The holdouts "are acting through financial groups to generate negative expectations with speculative attacks against the currency," Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich said today. "They're generating an artificial crisis where there is none."

Argie government self-inflicted wounds. Among other things, they nationalized pensions, gave out government bonds, defaulted on the bonds. Seppuku on the installment plan.

I believe Mr. George Soros, financier of all that is leftist and totalitarian, makes most of his fortune indulging in activities of this sort.
I would not be surprised if he is building up his war chest to prop up the Dems in the mid term elections at the expense of Argentina.
Of course that nut job President of Argentina and the perpetual nanny state erected by Peron gives him a lot of help.

[BUSINESSWEEK] The U.S. said Russia may be directing a counteroffensive by separatist rebels in Ukraine as fighting in the battle-torn country's easternmost regions spread to previously peaceful areas.
Jen Psaki, the U.S. State Department spokeswoman, cited the reports of fresh fighting, telling news hounds in Washington yesterday that "these incursions indicate a Russian-directed counter-offensive is likely under way in Donetsk and Luhansk." Russian President Vladimir Putin ...Second and fourth President and sixth of the Russian Federation and the first to remain sober. Putin is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from polonium poisoning. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to Putin. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead... 's front man, Dmitry Peskov, said "this information doesn't correspond with reality."
The violence in Ukraine expanded a day after Putin met his Ukrainian counterpart, Petro Poroshenko, and hailed the talks as a step toward a political resolution. The government in Kiev said the fighting, which has claimed more than 2,000 lives according to the United Nations ...an idea whose time has gone... , has spread to the shores of the Sea of Azov, effectively opening a new front.

And Russia says USA engineered violent overthrow of democratically elected government of Ukraine and replaced it with a coalition whose mainstay are Neo-Nazis. A government trying to ethnically cleanse Russians & Russian Orthodox Ukrainians from Ukraine. Both are right.

Don't know why Putin is bothering with the slow burn in Ukraine. It's a war Russia can win any time it likes.
Maybe he is waiting for the colder weather, and some photo ops of Putin with his hands on a gas pipeline tap. Just to remind the Euros of the realities.

For 600 years Europe wanted nothing to do with Russia. As the old saying goes, scratch a Tatar and a Russian bleeds. It was left to suckers like FDR and Pootie-Poot Bush to believe that Russia could be civilized. Now, it is Obama and Hillary Clinto who have learned the hard way.

Now, it is Obama and Hillary Clinton who have learned the hard way.
They have learned nothing. They are only interested in useless 'negotiations' and deals that buy them momentary political cover and inflate their egos just a bit more. They will never learn, even if they find themselves staring down Putin's gunbarrels...for at that point, they will consider it a 'political and moral victory' that they died last.

Beladra Sloque. Actually the Russians are decent, nice and compassionate people. Consider what the US did to the Japanese for having attacked a militaryobjective whatever sneaky the attack and think in what they would have done to the Germans had they killed more then twenty five million Americans and raped more than ten million American women. I doubt there would have been many Germans left alive.

Give Putin credit for his slow-motion invasion, slowly taking the covers off even as the Ukes ramp up their opposition and require him to go with armor to push past main force army units of Ukraine. Not only has he kept world media flummoxed wit the paper thin disguise of "local insurgent" forces draped over Russian Spec Ops and paras, but he has had the whole world watch his land grab, knowing the clear truth, and see OBumble mouth more meaningless BS and see that the US is gutless while this clueless child is at the helm.

JFM: The Russians killed multiple millions of Ukranians in the couple of decades _before_ WW2. IF they'd done that to France would you think of them as Wonderful Compassionate People?
#14
Thing from Snow: Actually I have heard there were some Georgians too and Jews (Iagoda, Frenkel), Siberians, people from the Caucasus end even Ukranains. Ther common point was not being Russians but being Communists.
#15
Didn't the Russians actually rape/kill hundreds of thousands of innocent germans? And there weren't more because of the fact they fled West, towards the US and British armies? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I distinctly remember reading about thousands of German women committing suicide after being raped.
That's not to say the Germans were any better, I'm not making that claim. I'm just saying that when faced with Communists or NAZIs, there isn't really much difference except EVERYONE suffered in the end.

BANGALORE: Gangadasappa, 40, paid a heavy price for playing truant with his creditors: he lost his testicles.
On the night of August 4, the moneylenders kidnapped and sedated the realtor, before surgically removing his testicles, in Anjananagar, near Magadi, West Bangalore. They later admitted him to KIMS Hospital, where he is still recovering. He is out of danger, police said, quoting doctors.
A city police head constable's wife, who is also a schoolteacher, and four others involved in the crime are on the run. I can think of a lot of circumstances where this treatment would be warranted, but this does not seem to be one of them.

Seeing as how its a realtor, I really cannot get too spun up over this. IMO, they are in a tie for second place as the scum of the earth with GM executives/engineers. Democrats hold the bottom....
