[Washington Post] President B.O.'s only Cabinet-level official from the U.S. territory of Guam steered federal contracts to friends, engaged in discrimination and sexual harassment, requested and received personal favors from subordinates and benefitted personally from taxpayer-funded trips, according to a watchdog report.
The review by the Interior Department's inspector general largely substantiated allegations from agency employees against Anthony Babauta, who resigned in January as assistant secretary for Interior's Office of Insular Affairs.
Investigators determined that the former official directed the awarding of two Office of Insular Affairs grants worth a combined $451,200 to the University of Guam against the advice of his staff and grant specialists. The money went to the school's Micronesian Center for a Sustainable Future.
Babauta released a statement this week that acknowledged "the appearance of conflicts" but said his actions as assistant secretary were "legitimate endeavors to improve the quality of life for areas under my responsibility." He added that his connections with Guam leaders "had no bearing in how I made a final decision."
Babauta's statement did not address the other findings of the investigation.
The report said that Babauta, who is married, frequently met with a girlfriend during trips he booked for government business, including a meeting in Arkansas with the state's health department and the Marshallese ambassador. His mistress was in Arkansas at the time visiting with family and doing work for former congressman Vic Snyder (D-Ark.), the report said.

A long time to sit without a Camel. The French were not amused.
To the Olde Worlde, chewing gum is declassĂŠ. And to think that they raved over his international polish just a few years ago, when he was first running for office.
We continue to ask this question regarding each of his blunderings, and how anyone could be so malicious. It's indeed painful to contemplate a classless dullard has ascended to the highest office of the land, but I'm beginning to believe that is the case.
I'm still however, reserving wantonly malicious and spiteful for his roommate.

If I had to sit there and watch a mob of mimes re-enact WWII I'd have had three chaws and a mason jar of whiskey. That was disgusting; though managing to not look like a vache would have been appropriate.

During his interview he was asked about our traitor and trade and why he did not notify congress. He said, "The decision was unanimous in MY government". I had to push my mouth shut! So in his delusional mind his coup is complete.

[An Nahar] Soft drinks should be targeted like tobacco with consumer warning labels that spell out the risk of obesity and other maladies, American advocates of a war on soda say.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest brought together health professionals other experts this week to plot a strategy to turn around public attitudes toward the sugary drinks.
So tobacco is bad. Soda pop is bad. Marijuana is just fine. The head, it spins...
"This is about transparency, telling the truth about these products and let the consumers decide by themselves," said Harold Goldstein, one of the dozens of doctors and other experts who attended the "Soda Summit" Wednesday and Thursday.
At a news conference, Goldstein called for passage of a bill requiring warning labels to be affixed to sugary drink containers.
The bill already passed the state senate in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, at the end of May, and once Governor Jerry Governor Moonbeam Brown ... those who ignore history are bound to repeat it ... signs it, the state will become the first to adopt the rule.
The language is similar to warning labels for cigarettes: "Drinking beverages with added sugar contributes to obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay."
"Give people the information at least," said Goldstein. "Once they have the information, then they will be ready for more."
Goldstein and others at the conference, however, stressed that combating consumption of sugary drinks will require multiple approaches.
Including ordering the rest of us to do as they say...

What about Brawndo? Is it going to get warnings too?

When are they going to put labels on those super-caffeinated power drinks, that taken in quantity have induced heart attacks? That strikes me as a good deal more immediate than diabetes twenty years down the road...
Concern trolls and cause junkies, demonstrating their piety by being ever so much purer than the prols who obviously don't know enough to care.

It's like a religion - they need to SAVE you, from Satan, or yourself, or the evil corporations. It gives them purpose for their lives.
I guess the logic is that now that the state is responsible for your health care it needs to make sure you live more healthily. Coming soon - dawn PT runs to breakfast at the communal dining facility.

Any food item containing calories can contribute to obesity. I would suggest a warning on food stamps and any other GIVERnemt program that encourages slothfulness.

The problem is, there is a law specifically saying something different. What can we as citizens do when our congress is too cowardly to bring charges?

Our government is based on a balance of power. Apathy in that balance is the same as complicity. He is near complete with his Coup. Our fed is running but the president is doing what he wants, unchecked. He is changing laws through policy, attacking his enemies through the IRS and DOJ. He is operating outside the constitution and his decisions are unanimous within his government. He did not misspeak, he was deadly accurate in his terms. Carter was an idealistic idiot, Nixon was an old school criminal, This guy is a traitor and operating right on track with his plans.

Oh what's the use, the bugger is going to do whatever he damn well pleases. He's just told us as much.
[DAILYSIGNAL] It wasn't the biggest story following Tuesday's elections in various states, but it was the biggest and most-ignored non-story.
Mississippi's new voter ID law got its first run in the June 3 primary, and the sky did not fall. Despite the tiresome and disproven claims by opponents that such laws cause wholesale voter disenfranchisement and are intended to suppress votes, Mississippi "sailed through" its first test of the new ID requirements, according to The Clarion Ledger, the newspaper of Jackson, Miss.
Aside from being able to use any form of government-issued photo ID, like every other state with ID requirements, Mississippi provides a free ID for anyone who does not already have a government-issued photo ID. Contrary to the claims of those who say large numbers of Americans don't have an ID, Mississippi estimated that only 0.8 percent of Mississippians lacked an ID. In fact, even that may have been an overestimate since the state had to issue only about 1,000 voter ID cards. All those who forgot their ID on Tuesday also could vote by an affidavit as long as they returned and showed an ID within five days.
The Clarion Ledger reported how few problems there were in the implementation of the new requirement. Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann said the state "devoted countless hours of time and training to election officials across the state" and the result was that there were hardly any complaints. There was only one reported case of a man mistakenly being turned away for lack of an ID, at which point an election commissioner was sent to solve the problem. But this was one of the few reported problems across the entire state in which almost 400,000 voters turned out to cast their ballots in the primary elections, including in the fiercely contested Republican U.S. Senate primary where incumbent Thad Cochran faced off against challenger Chris McDaniel in a razor-thin election.

Didn't fit the narrative. The 'free press' as an institution was exercising its power to suppress information. This internet thingy, however, got around that major act of '1984 memory hole'. For now. Just watch Sen. Schumer et al work hard on closing that bothersome oracle.

There can only be one reason to challenge a law that seeks to correctly identify voters, and it has absolutely nothing to do with voter suppression.
[BREITBART] Senators Barbara Call me Senator! Boxer Senator-for-Life from Caliphornia... (D-CA) and Dianne Feinstein ...Dem Senator-for-Life from Caliphornica. She has been a politician since about the time she was weaned. Feinstein was the author of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and tried it a second time in 2012. Feinstein has chaired the Select Committee on Intelligence since 2009. At age 80, Feinstein is the oldest currently serving United States Senator.... (D-CA), together with Representative Lois Capps (D-CA-Santa Barbara), are pushing legislation to allow families to petition a court to bar a "dangerous" individual from buying a gun and confiscate any guns said individual owns.
The legislation is entitled, "The Pause for Safety Act."
According to the Sacramento Bee, Feinstein said: "We must do everything in our power to keep firearms out of the hands of those who pose a serious risk of harm to themselves or others."
Boxer said: "It is haunting to me that...[Rodger's] family...was desperate to prevent an act of violence and alerted police, but they were still unable to stop this tragedy.
The legislation comes in response to Elliot Rodger's May 23 attacks in which he stabbed three people to death, shot and killed three others, then tried to kill four more by running them down with his car.
Neither Senator nor Capps addressed the confiscation of knives or automobiles.

Unfortunately, she views everyone as those who pose a serious risk of harm to others. "Firearm confiscation" is part of their agenda in perpetuity--they just think firearms are icky.

Every deviate behavior is acceptable and often subsidized by the GIVERnment but the second amendment is attacked and stepped on by the left. I say come and get them; I will then learn of your commitment to your cause and way of life.
[DAILYSIGNAL] Common Core is on the chopping block. Oklahoma today became the third state to exit the national education standards and reclaim its decision-making authority in education. The move comes on the heels of South Carolina, which days ago put an end to Common Core--setting precedent for other states to follow.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley ...first woman to serve as Governor of South Carolina, and the second Indian-American governor in the country, after Bobby Jindal of Louisiana. At the age of 39, Haley is the youngest current governor in the U.S., a distinction formerly held by Jindal. She is a Republican, which really grates on the Dems... quietly signed a bill withdrawing the state from Common Core, but Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, also a Republican, was not shy about stating her reasons for pulling her state from the national standards.
"We are capable of developing our own Oklahoma academic standards that will be better than Common Core," Fallin said in a statement released by her office. "Unfortunately, federal overreach has tainted Common Core. President B.O. and Washington bureaucrats have usurped Common Core in an attempt to influence state education standards.

The importation of illegals is the key to democratic power. The State of Texas [as well as the county in which I reside] have long been targets for democratic takeover. Think of it in terms of the Russification of Ukraine. Demographics really do matter.

The Obama admin is using Latin media to tell people in Latin America to cross the border. Just as I heard on several hip hop stations in major cities about the free Obama phone and Obama election propaganda just prior to his wining a second term.

I also saw ads in the Caribbean to apply for benefits but through the Chicago office only. The Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico get flooded with people from out island to get access to the US.
