Some 281 [Somali] refugees have been taken back to their camps from Nairobi in the last three days, the Ministry of Interior and National Coordination has said. The ministryâs director of communication Mwenda Njoka said this was in line with government policy to have refugees settled only in gazette refugee camps.
The refugees who were netted during the ongoing security operation in Nairobi and screened at Safaricom Stadium in Kasarani were taken to Dadaab and Kakuma camps.
âThe first group of 111 refugees was transported from Kasarani Sports Ground on Thursday evening in a ceremony witnessed by Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government Mr Joseph Ole Lenku,â the statement said.
The refugees were transported in four buses that were provided by the government. The second group comprising of 170 refugees left Nairobi from on Friday evening in six buses.
Mr Lenku, was accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Interior at Kasarani on Friday evening to see off the second group. The ministry said the directive requiring refugees to be settled strictly in gazette refugee camps issued on March 25 conforms to local and international laws governing refugee affairs.

[Egypt Independent] Dubai-based, Saudi-owned MBC Group has decided to halt the screening of Egypt's most popular comic show during the presidential elections on 26 and 27 May to avoid influencing voters.
Al-Bernameg, by satirist Bassem Youssef, will halt until 30 May "so as not to influence voters during the presidential elections," according to a statement by the network on Saturday.
Youssef had earlier announced a seasonal vacation ending on 9 May, but the network decided to extend the halt to after the polls, with the show returning on 30 May.
Al-Bernameg gained more popularity under the rule of the ousted president Mohammed Morsy with scathing criticisms of the Moslem Brüderbund and Islamist factions. After Morsy's overthrow, Youssef shifted to satirical criticisms of former defense minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's presidency supporters.
The show had been faced with trials under Morsy over charges of blasphemy and libel, while it was prevented from CBC satellite channel after Morsy's ouster over material satirical of the transitional authorities.

[AnNahar] An Egyptian court on Saturday sentenced an Islamist leader on trial for murder alongside deposed president Mohammed Morsi to a year in jail for insulting a prosecutor, judicial sources said.
Top Muslim Brotherhood member Mohammed al-Beltagui and Morsi were both in court Saturday accused of inciting the killing of opposition protesters outside the presidential palace in Cairo in December 2012.
Their trial is part of a relentless crackdown targeting Morsi and the Brotherhood since the military ousted him on July 3, ending a turbulent single year in office.
The sources said Beltagui, who is currently in custody along with scores of other Brotherhood leaders, was condemned for "insulting" a prosecutor during Saturday's hearing, but without elaborating.
It is the first time a senior member of the Brotherhood has been given a jail sentence since Morsi's ouster.
Beltagui's lawyer Mohammed Abu Leila told Agence France Presse that such sentences cannot be appealed.

These Boko Haram members were all born by women, and at some point, we fed them with our breast, the same breast will be a curse unto them if we expose it while crying to God and pointing it to the high heavens.''
Also speaking , the President, Nigerian women in clergy, Prophetess Nonnie Roberson said Nigerian women were angry over the ongoing event in the country, particularly the inversion of the country by Boko Haram terrorists. While introducing the group to the Director, she said ''we are ordained women ministers of God who have taken up our responsibilities as wailing women as posited in Jeremiah chapter 9. Our mission is taking a spiritual stand against injustice in the Land. We engage and operate in spiritual warfare and advocacy having been mandated to raise our voices for the voiceless woman; we are advancing against the wickedness in the land like Deborah, rebuilding the walls like Nehemiah and displacing the ungodly like Esther. We are also committed to intercession, projecting peace, supporting good governance and promoting righteousness in the leadership of our dear Nation. ''

More than 100 suspected Boko Haram fighters and preachers (the latter presumed to have links with the group), have been tossed in the slammer Drop the gat, Rocky, or you're a dead 'un! in Far North Region since 2012, but many have been released due to lack of evidence, according to a local security official.
"There are many Moslem brothers coming from Nigeria with the aim of preaching to the youths. The government has warned against this practice, but they still reach out to the young people because they make them promises and give them money," said Ibrahim Haman, an Islamic preacher and elder in Mora District in the Far North.
Residents of Mayo-Sava area in Far North Region say that unidentified preachers are secretly reaching out to youths in their locality. Haman pointed out that some youths have managed to escape the sect after being recruited, but many others have not returned.
"Boko Haram is considered here as just another religious group, and it is not difficult to be a member if you want to. Young people from here have been induced into joining Boko Haram," he said.

The port city has been on high alert with roads being cordoned off for the former president's security.
It is the first time that the former president, who will be staying at his residence in the city, has left Islamabad after being indicted in a high treason case by a special court last month.
Musharraf is due to appear in court in person in Islamabad on Monday in the murder case of a slain Baloch nationalist leader, or face arrest.

In an audio tape posted on al-Qaeda-linked websites, Zawahiri said that "Fatah pretends to be a national liberation movement, but it has turned into a movement that sells out its homeland and its citizens.

Fatah front man Ahmad Assaf added that Zawahiri's statements "confirm the level of his and his organization's involvement in the Zionist project. Since when has this hypocrite and his gang been interested in the Paleostinian issue and the Paleostinian people? They see the whole world an open arena for their activities, but we didn't see even one activity against the Israeli occupation."

[Ynet] The UN Relief and Works Agency said Saturday that as of Sunday, the refugees in a Paleostinian refugee camp in Syria will be out of food.
"This is the tenth consecutive day that UNRWA has been unable to distribute food assistance inside Yarmouk. Given that an UNRAW food parcel lasts for a maximum of 10 days, from tomorrow there will be no UN food in the camp," front man Chris Gunness said.
According to the UN agency, on April 18 they were not authorized to enter the camp and distribute food following the recent escalation between the sides of the on going conflict in Syria.
