Chunky Texas Deputy Constable Made Deputy Motorboat Her Bossom

A former Texas deputy constable will receive $567,000 after a jury found he was sexually harassed by his female superior. Galveston County Constable Pam Matranga was accused by her ex-employee, James Gist, of committing various sexually suggestive actions and making numerous inappropriate comments during her time as his boss, according to the Daily Mail.

According to reports, Ms. MatrangaÂ’s language around the office included words such as "Canooki," "Duck taco" and encouraging Gist to attend "chunky chick night" to watch her dance at a local nightclub.

In one instance, Gist says Matranga put her shirt over his head, forcing him to “motorboat” her breasts in the middle of the office.

During the evidence discovery portion of the trial, Matranga admitted that she had “motorboated” some of her employees in the past, but not Gist.

Matranga would also frequently break wind around the office and rub her genitals, according to court documents.

Gist claimed in court the situation became so abusive that he was forced to quit his job and file a lawsuit.

According to reports, the jury sided with Gist and awarded him $567,000 in damages.

"Judge, You know everything in Texas is bigger, I almost DROWNED!"

Afghanistan
Suicide bombers attack foreigners in Kabul
[DAWN] A group of Afghan Taliban snuffies forced their way into a guesthouse used by foreigners in an upscale residential part of the capital Kabul on Friday, police said.

A gunbattle erupted and military convoys were dispatched to secure the area.

The Afghan capital is on high alert and the atmosphere is nervous ahead of next week's presidential election which the Taliban have vowed to disrupt.

"A jacket wallah detonated his car loaded with explosives in front of a guesthouse used by foreign and Afghan citizens and now a number of suicide bombers are apparently inside," said Hashmat Stanikzai, a front man for Kabul's police chief.

"A shootout is under way. There are no reports of possible casualties."

The nationalities and number of foreigners inside the building were not immediately clear.

Rooters television footage showed Afghan forces sealing off the street in the south of the capital and military convoys rushing to secure the area.

AP adds: Taliban front man Zabiullah Mujahid said snuffies attacked a ''guest house of foreigners and a church of foreigners.''

Security officers escape killers in Benghazi
[Libya Herald] Gunmen tried to kill a member of the Saiqa brigade this morning. Mustafa Assaid was shot in the hand and leg in a drive-by shooting in Benghazi's Al-Sabri district. He is now recovering after surgery in hospital.

Later, after Friday prayers, gunnies tried to kill Khaled Al-Urfi, a member of military intelligence. He had gone to Hawari cemetery to visit the grave of a friend and had first prayed in the cemetery mosque. The gunnies started shooting as he was heading to the grave. He ran back to the mosque for safety.

Tunisia jails leader of controversial pro-Islamist group
[Al Ahram] A leader of a controversial pro-Islamist militia blamed for several violent incidents in Tunisia has been nabbed
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
for 14 months for inciting violence and for verbal attacks, a judicial source said Friday.

"The court in Tunis sentenced Imed Dghij to eight months for inciting violence and six months for attacking others on social networks," the source told AFP.

Dghij, a senior figure with the League for the Protection of the Revolution (LPR), was incarcerated
... anything you say can and will be used against you, whether you say it or not...
at the end of February, after threatening the Tunisian authorities in a video posted on the Internet.

"We will not give ourselves up. We will win, and we will die only after we've finished with you, is that clear?" said Dghij, who heads the league's branch in Kram, a suburb of the capital.

"Shedding the blood of the security forces" was a legitimate act, he added.

Formed in the aftermath of the January 2011 uprising, supposedly to safeguard the revolution, the LPR has been repeatedly accused of resorting to violence to intimidate its critics, and is seen by many as a ruthless militia with links to the main Islamist party Ennahda.

Its members are suspected of lynching a member of secular party Nidaa Tounes in the southern city of Tataouine in 2012, and of attacking the headquarters of the main UGTT workers union later that year

Since then, the UGTT and opponents of Ennahda, which was forced to hand power to a interim administration of independents in January to end a major political crisis, have demanded the dissolution of the different sections of the LPR.

Following the appointment of Mehdi Jomaa's new technocratic government, the judiciary has launched several inquiries into these groups, despite the opposition of Ennahda, which remains Tunisia's largest political party.

New Boko Haram videos urge 'brethren' to attack all over Nigeria
[CSMONITOR] On March 14 fighting broke out in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, including at the Giwa Barracks -- the main military headquarters in Borno.

"Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
" claims it secured the release of two thousand detainees during the siege on the barracks. Abubakar Shekau has now released two new videos to claim responsibility for the attack.

Mr. Shekau, the successor to Mohammed Yusuf who was killed by the police in 2009, is a leader of "Boko Haram," the Islamist insurgency in northern Nigeria. As reports of the videos makes their way into the Nigerian press, they raise many questions.

The Daily Trust, a leading newspaper published in the north, reports that the attackers had camera men who captured the Giwa Barracks raid on film in great detail.

The video apparently shows no resistance from the Nigerian security forces, but it also notes some 500 dead bodies were found in the aftermath of the fighting, though no casualties are shown in the video itself.

Whether the dead were killed by the security services, Boko Haram, or by both is an open question.

Three killed in raid on militants in south Yemen
[The Peninsula] Two al Qaeda snuffies and a Yemeni soldier were killed on Friday in a raid by security forces on a residential building in the southern city of Dalea, local officials said.

The security forces seized a large quanitity of weapons, the officials said without elaborating.

There have been a succession of violent incidents in recent months in Dalea, a stronghold for separatists demanding restoration of the former socialist state of South Yemen, which merged with the North in 1990.

Dalea province has seen regular but small-scale festivities between gunnies and government troops since late December, when a shell fired by Yemeni soldiers hit a funeral attended by separatists, killing 15 people, including children.

Home Front: WoT
FBI pushed elder Tsarnaev to be informer, lawyers assert
[Boston Globe] Lawyers for accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev asserted Friday that his older brother and alleged accomplice had been encouraged by the FBI to be an informant and to report on the Chechen and Muslim community, according to court records.
You can only get away for six months? Hey, no problem.
“We seek this information based on our belief that these contacts were among the precipitating events for Tamerlan’s actions during the week of April 15, 2013, and thus material to the defense case in mitigation,” the lawyers said in their court filing.

“We base this on information from our client’s family and other sources that the FBI made more than one visit to talk with Anzor [his father], Zubeidat [his mother] and Tamerlan, questioned Tamerlan about his Internet searches, and asked him to be an informant, reporting on the Chechen and Muslim community.
Hey, we gotcha here on these anarchist boom making sites, sure you don't want to help us out ?
“We do not suggest that these contacts are to be blamed and have no evidence to suggest that they were improper, but rather view them as an important part of the story of Tamerlan’s decline. Since Tamerlan is dead, the government is the source of corroboration that these visits did in fact occur and of what was said during them.”

The lawyers suggested that Tamerlan Tsarnaev could have misinterpreted his interactions with the FBI as pressure from the agency, and that they could have “increased his paranoia and distress.”
Or he could have interpreted his interaction correctly, smiled and taken the dough for travel, and terrorism seed money.
The defense wants to investigate those factors as it seeks to portray Tamerlan as a dominating family figure who may have pushed the younger Dzhokhar to take part in the April 15 bombings last year. Tamerlan was killed days after the bombings in a confrontation with police in Watertown.

The lawyersÂ’ allegation, based on conversations with family members and other sources, was made in a 23-page court filing Friday in which the lawyers sought a court order forcing prosecutors to turn over more evidence in the case.
But, but, but aren't prosecutors required by law to provide evidence ?
Specifically, they want additional evidence about TamerlanÂ’s radical views, which would be useful in the lawyersÂ’ defense against the death penalty. Lawyers argued that, now that prosecutors have declared they will seek capital punishment, Dzhokar should be allowed to present evidence of mitigating factors that would tilt a jury against the death penalty.
Yep, dead and quiet like the other ones. That's what we wants.
Those factors include evidence about his age at the time of the bombings, which was 19, his lack of criminal history, and the possible influence of others, specifically a radical older brother, court records said.

“The underlying data concerning the brothers’ activities, state of mind, and respective trajectories is critical,” the defense said. “Evidence that shows Tamerlan to have had a substantially longer and deeper engagement than his younger brother with extremist and violent ideology is mitigating for the light that it sheds on their relative culpability.”
"Underlying data" might indicate the Tsarnaev's were no strangers to the Bureau or US intelligence.

India-Pakistan
Six Die in Indian Kashmir Militant Strike
[An Nahar] Three suspected rebels disguised in army uniforms hijacked a taxi in Indian Kashmire on Friday and killed three people before being rubbed out by security forces, police said.

The attack was the deadliest in months by suspected bully boyz fighting Indian rule in the disputed Himalayan territory and came just ahead of India's general elections in which Kashmiris are slated to vote.

The rebels seized the shared passenger taxi early Friday morning near the international border with Pakistain in the south of the scenic territory, police said.

The dead included the driver of the vehicle hijacked by the gunnies near Dayalchak, 340 kilometers (211 miles) from Kashmire's main city Srinagar. A passenger and a soldier also bit the dust.

The gunnies dressed up in army uniforms fired at the jeep used as a shared taxi to ferry people between towns and then hijacked it, killing the passenger on the spot.

They abandoned the vehicle near an Indian army artillery unit a few miles away.

Security forces intercepted the gunnies, triggering a three-hour firefight that ended with the deaths of the suspected rebels and one of the soldiers.

"All three bully boyz were killed. Their bodies were recovered as well as that of the driver," inspector general of police, Rajesh Kumar, told Agence La Belle France Presse.

Kumar said the gunnies have not yet been identified and no krazed killer group has so far grabbed credit for the attack.

It was not immediately clear if the gunnies killed the taxi driver or whether he died in the exchange of fire with soldiers, police said.

About a dozen rebel groups have been fighting security forces in Indian-administered Kashmire since 1989 for independence or merger of the territory with Pakistain.

[DAWN] An attack on noted columnist and TV anchor Raza Rumi led to the unfortunate death of his driver Mustafa on Friday evening.

According to TV reports, Rumi escaped with a minor injury and managed to shift his guard and driver to the hospital at death's door.

However,

Rumi said he was distraught over his driver's killing, whom he described as "innocent" and a breadwinner for 10 other family members.

"God has saved me. I just heard the... bullets when we took a turn near Raja Market and put my head down," he told AFP, adding his bodyguard leapt to save him.

Iraq
Three Killed in Fierce Clashes in Iraq's Anbar
[An Nahar] Ongoing festivities between anti-government fighters and soldiers near a krazed killer-held city on Storied Baghdad's doorstep have killed at least three people and maimed dozens more, officials said Friday.

The latest unrest erupted Thursday night in Anbar province, a mostly desert region in western Iraq along the Syrian border, where security forces have failed for months to evict snuffies from key territory.

Army forces began shelling the region of Zoba, which lies just south of Fallujah,
... the City of Mosques, which might have somthing to do with why it's not called Center of Prosperity or a really nice place to raise your kids...
local officials said, sparking festivities with krazed killers.

At least three people were killed and 53 maimed in the shelling and firefights, according to three medical sources.

"There were festivities and shelling against Zoba from yesterday (Thursday) evening until today, and it is still going on," said Faisal Essawi, an official working in Amriyat al-Fallujah, the nearest town.

"We have been told that snuffies control army positions, and there have also been many victims -- killed and maimed."

Another local official, who did not want to be named, confirmed that gunnies had captured army positions in Zoba after the military began shelling.

Anti-government fighters seized Fallujah and parts of Anbar lovely provincial capital Ramadi in early January.

Since then, security forces have managed to wrest back control of most of Ramadi, but a stalemate has persisted in Fallujah.

The military has periodically shelled the city, as well as surrounding areas, in what it says are strikes against krazed killer strongholds, but local residents and medics say civilians have been among the casualties.

Two suspects, at least one identified as armed, were killed Friday night near the security barrier in the Golan Heights. The IDF said they were attempting to sabotage the operational infrastructure on the border: "In response, the IDF attacked the suspects."

The suspects were identified crossing the border around 10:30 pm by a reconnaissance force of the Golani division. Relying on lessons learned in recent incidents -- and more stringent rules of engagement -- an arrest procedure was not attempted.

The IDF used precision fire to hit the two suspects.

Recent weeks have seen a number of incidents on Israel's borders in the north, both with Leb and Syria.

Two weeks ago, in the worst of the incidents, two officers and two paratroopers were maimed, one at death's door, from an improvised bomb placed on Israeli territory -- beyond the Golan Heights security barrier.

The IDF retaliated with artillery fire and precision missiles on Syrian army bases, as the Assad regime was held responsible for the act of terrorism.

Several days before the incident, a powerful explosive detonated near an IDF force near the Shebaa Farms, while the soldiers were on a routine patrol of the area. The force, which included a number of reconnaissance vehicles, was rocked by the explosive, though fortunately no one was hurt.

The jeep was damaged and three soldiers were evacuated to Ziv Medical Center in Safed to rule out any blast injuries. The IDF explored the possibility the incident was a kidnapping attempt, but the theory was rejected.

ISF Member Shot Dead in Tripoli as Army Hunts Suspected 'Extremist' Culprits
[An Nahar] An Internal Security Forces member was killed in the northern city of Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
on Friday, in the second such attack on armed forces in two days, the state-run National News Agency reported, as the army started pursuing suspected perpetrators.

NNA said Butros al-Bayaa was in his Range Rover when gunnies opened fire on him in the area of al-Qobbeh at around 5:30 am.

Al-Bayaa died after he was shot in the head, it said.

His vehicle also fell in the nearby Abou Ali river, the agency added.

On Thursday, a soldier was killed in a drive-by shooting in Tripoli, the military said.

The army said in a communique that two masked men riding a cycle of violence killed Fadi al-Jubaili, an army warrant officer, at around 6:15 am after opening fire on him in the area of Boulevard.

Al-Jubaili was heading to work when he was killed, it added.

Later on Friday, security sources told LBCI TV "it is likely that the group that assassinated Warrant Officer Jbeili was also behind murdering the policeman al-Bayeh and it is part of an myrmidon organization."

"The security plan for Tripoli will contribute to eradicating the myrmidon groups, which seem to have taken a decision to confront the Lebanese armed forces," the sources added.

Meanwhile,

a Syrian man, according to NNA.

"Bags and boxes were confiscated from the house of Syrian national Ahmed Orabi in the al-Rawwas building near al-Nour School in Tripoli," LBCI said.

Earlier, al-Jadeed TV said the army deployed in force on al-Haram Street in Abi Samra and dozens of military vehicles were stationed in the neighboring areas.

Syria putting Turkish jets under radar lock
[The Peninsula] Syrian air defence systems have "harassed" Turkish F-16 fighter jets patrolling their own airspace by repeatedly putting them under "radar lock", suggesting they were about to be fired at, the Turkish military said yesterday.

The incident, which took place on Wednesday, comes only days after Turkey downed a Syrian warplane that Ankara said had violated its airspace, in an area where Syrian rebels have been battling Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

's forces.

Syria condemned what it called a "blatant aggression" and said the jet had been pursuing rebel fighters inside Syria. It said the pilot had managed to eject.

"Defence systems deployed in Syria have harassed our F-16 fighter jets ... by putting them under a radar lock for a total of two minutes and 20 seconds," the military said in a statement, adding that there had been 14 separate instances.

It also said two Turkish jets had been scrambled on Wednesday to intercept a Syrian warplane as it approached the border. The warplane turned around only 1.4 nautical miles short of the Tu rkish border at Yayladagi, it said.

More than 140,000 people have been killed in Syria's conflict, while 2.5 million refugees have fled to neighbouring countries and millions more need humanitarian aid.

Assad's forces have already lost control of most border crossings with Turkey during the three-year civil war, but have held on to Kasab, gateway to the coastal province of Latakia, which has remained an Assad stronghold.

#1  Nice of the Syrians to provide so much data about their radars. Should help to refine the electronic countermeasure (ECM).
