[Iran Press TV] Allegations of sexual misconduct continue to plague the French society as the country's Civil Service Minister Georges Tron resigns to clear himself of sex charges.
How does resigning 'clear' him?
Tron was implicated in a sex scandal after two women, who worked at the town hall where he was a mayor, filed harassment complaints against him, a Press TV correspondent reported.
He stepped down as soon as the prosecutors announced conducting an investigation into the accusations.
"Congressman Weiner, the Department of Justice is on line one..."
This comes after former International Monetary Fund chief and presidential candidate Dominique Strauss-Kahn
who also is a man
was accused of trying to rape a New York hotel maid.
"In the past few weeks our association has received a lot of complaints of harassment and rape and some even reach political circles. All of a sudden all these women are saying if a man like Dominique Strauss-Kahn can be brought down because of sexual harassment, then we should speak up now," Olivia Cattan President of Women's Words Association said.
It is France, after all. The window of opportunity is very small and closing as quickly as the great and the good think they can get away with it.
Tron has claimed that that National Front Leader Marine Le Pen is behind the allegations against him.
That would be the Marine Le Pen who is not a man? How silly of her to sympathise with her oppressed sisters.
Women rights activists believe there is no limits for men in powerful positions in La Belle France; hence, they can treat women without considering the red lines.
Apart from La Belle France's international reputation, the credibility of the French media has also been damaged for what some say was a reflexive response in favor of the prominent politicians.

How does resigning 'clear' him?
It allows him to concentrate on his defence without being distarcted by governement work. It prevents suspicions of him using his government position to pressure the investigators. Also it is an implicit rule in France that you cannot be in government until you are cleared of suspicion.
in favor of the prominent politicians
Actually it would be better if certain words were avoided.
Paypal co-founder Peter Thiel is paying 20 of the brightest minds to drop out of college. He selected 24 students under the age of 20 to receive $100,000 to get business ideas off the ground instead of sitting in a classroom.
Thiel said the value of a college education has changed, and not for the better: "If you look at how much college costs have gone up, you now have people graduating with a quarter million dollars worth of debt and they end up having to spend years or decades paying the debt off."
As wall street continues to tank today....
Wall Street is having a hard time figuring out what to do now that the U.S. economy appears to be sputtering and yields are so low, Peter Yastrow, market strategist for Yastrow Origer, told CNBC.
"What we've got right now is almost near panic going on with money managers and people who are responsible for money," he said. "They can not find a yield and you just don't want to be putting your money into commodities or things that are punts that might work out or they might not depending on what happens with the economy.
"We need to find real yield and real returns on these assets. You see bad data, you see Treasurys rally, you see all bonds and all fixed-income rally and then the people who are betting against the U.S. economy start getting bearish on stocks. That's a huge mistake."
Stocks extended losses after the manufacturing fell below expectations in May and the private sector added only 38,000 jobs during the month.
"Interest rates are amazingly low and that, thanks to Ben Bernanke, is driving everything," Yastrow said. "We're on the verge of a great, great depression. The [Federal Reserve] knows it." Not that hard to figure out guys. Uncertainty of businesses on what things will cost, taxes, health care, energy, gas, etc. for the next year or two leaves them sitting on reserves to weather the storm and not hire people. Bambi and his dhimocrats are doing everything they can to create uncertainty and to destroy our economy.
Private-sector payroll growth slowed sharply in May, coming in far below expectations and falling to the lowest level in eight months, a report by a payrolls processor showed on Wednesday.
The ADP Employer Services report showed private employers added a scant 38,000 jobs last month, while April private payrolls were revised down to an increase of 177,000 from the previously reported 179,000. Economists surveyed by Reuters had forecast a gain of 175,000 jobs for May.
The United States exported more goods and services in March than in any single month in its history: $172.7-billion (U.S.) worth. It was the countrys 21st consecutive month of rising exports, pushing the year-over-year increase to 20.9 per cent. In these 12 record-setting months, exports reached within one-tenth of 1 per cent of $2-trillion more than four times the cost of the countrys imports of crude oil.

With the tainted toys, milk and bugged Cisco items made in China there is a backlash starting. I know lots of people that are starting to look at where stuff is made, and if it says "China" they put it back on the shelf and get something else.
If the Chinese don't clean up their acts, both with better manufacturing regulations and trying to stop stealing our stuff and IP, they world will go elsewhere. India is looking pretty good right now and even Vietnam is courting western companies to make and ship goods from their country.

If the Vietnamese Communist Party can kill off the endemic corruption in the country, Vietnam would be a good offshore location for many types of light industrial production now centered in China. It would highly ironic to have a united Communist Vietnam as a stalwart ally against ChiCom expansionism in the region.

I know China has been shipped outrageous amounts of coal. Japan needs to rebuild so lumber I'm certain is in demand. That's my thoughts on that. Even the Chinese people are upset with the quality of products that they manufacture. Vietnam is having many issues with products shipped in now from China. Clothing that is dyed is eating the shin when they sweat. Even sandals are doing the same thing. They can only wear clear or white materials. This news is from Vietnam and is about a month old or so. Brazil has offered one company no taxes to locate there( about 400,000 jobs). The Australians have an excellent rapport with the Chinese I would watch them in this area of the world. The Chinese people want more of everything. This is a dragon that will be hard to ride. It all could just pop!.

I visited Viet Nam right after they opened up for tourists with US passports, back in 1993. The people were very gracious and friendly, and many were seemed remarkably pro-America (especially in the south). Chinese support for Ho Chi Minh during the war was strictly an alliance of convenience, as far as I can tell. There is no love lost between the Vietnamese and Chinese, (see Sino-Vietnamese War of 1979). Also wherever I traveled the anti-American sentiment among ethnic Chinese across east Asia was palpable. Personally, I would be all for an economic American-Vietnamese alliance against China and their toxic crap exports.

Slip of the finger- Skin. Scooter I still believe the way to go would be the Aussies. They have done very well in this part of the world. That has caught the eye of the Chinese. While Europe and the States have suffered the Aussies have done very well with Asia. The only problem they have had is the biblical flood recently. To my knowledge that is.

Drat you beat me Skidmark. Why are these stories coming out now about Bismarck wanting to surrender and just before that a bit of news Hitler sent Hess? to Churchill to offer terms of surrender.
Sounds like were in the muck news now. Digging in the trash can of history. I guess the real world news is too depressing.
