[Quqnoos] Three suicide bombers attacked Monday a police training compound in Kandahar and one of them blew himself up at the front door of the compound
Confirming the incident, Zemarai Bashari a spokesman for the Afghan Ministry of Interior Affairs said two other suicide bombers who were trying to enter the police compound, were shot dead by the Afghan security forces.
"The police compound was attacked, one of them blew himself up, and the two others were killed by police," said the spokesman for the MOI, Zemarai Bashari.
No groups, including the Taliban have taken an immediate responsibility for the incident.
The incidents come as the international NATO-led forces in Afghanistan are working on a huge operation to wipe out the Taliban out of their southern strongholds.

[Maghrebia] An elderly Algerian man missing since May 26th was found decapitated on Friday, Liberte reported Sunday (June 6th). Terrorists abducted Driss Magherbi, 70, near Sidi Bel-Abbes. The victim was a former member of Algeria's government-sanctioned rural militia, the Legitimate Defence Group (GLD), and former president of the Sidi Ali Benyoub municipal council (APC).
In other news, a roadside bomb explosion early Sunday morning killed two communal guards at Ait Felker, some 50km east of Bejaia.

It would take extraordinary influence to get a Muslim country to extradite an accused (or convicted) criminal, I should think. After all, Muslims are not supposed to be subjected to infidel justice. Look at Pakistan's response to India's request for those involved in the Mumbai terror attack.
Seven individuals died from ongoing drug and gang related violence in northern Mexico, which includes the kidnapping of a municipal police officer in Santigo, Nuevo Leon, and a prison riot in Juarez where three inmates were killed and four inmates were wounded.
An unidentified man was found executed in his car in Juarez, indicate Mexican news reports.
The victim was found aboard a Dodge Stratus on Avenida Tecnológico in the Camargo district of Juarez. No other details were available.
An unidentified woman was found beaten to death and stripped nude Monday afternoon in Juarez, according to Mexican news accounts. The victim was found with her face beaten near the intersection of calles Pedro Moreno and Constitución near Juarez city center.
A severely beaten man found early Sunday died in a hospital of his wounds Sunday afternoon. Roberto Toca Gonzälez, 23, died in Hospital General at 1500 hrs Sunday from wounds he received. He was found on Bulevar Juan Pablo II by an unidentified 20 year old who brought him to the hospital.
An unidentified man was shot to death in a gunfight in Juarez, say Mexican news accounts. Witnesses say that a group of armed man riding in a Dodge Durango fired upon a lone man on foot at about 4500 block of Calle Fray GarcÃa de Juärez in the Los Frailes district. The victim attempted to flee the attack, but died at the scene.
Investigators found spent cartridge casings from a 9mm weapon at the scene.
Three inmates were killed and several more were wounded in a riot in the CERESO prison facility of Juarez, say Mexican news reports.
Earlier the prison director, Ramón Gerardo Quintana Villasana, said in a telephone interview the prison was quickly brought under control, but did not release any more information. However, later reports say that several guards are being held hostage with three inmates were dead. A late report indicates four inmates were wounded.
Reports now are that elements of the Mexican Army including two armored cars and two Blackhawk helicopters are at the prison attempting to bring the facility under control. Subsequent reports indicate elements from nearly every law enforcement element in Chihuahua are involved in the countering operations, including Mexican federal agents.
Last Wednesday the CERESO prison in Juarez was the scene of a prison riot between two rival prison gangs, the Aztecas and the Mexicles gangs. Two died and several were injured in that event which saw the use of firearms, tactical vests and Molotov cocktails. As with the last riot, reports are inmates were armed.
A Nuevo Leon police officer is missing and presumed abducted Sunday, say Mexican news reports. Emeterio Ãvila Gallardo, de 49, was reported missing Sunday from his patrol car in Las Margaritas and is presumed abducted by authorities. Police reported several threatening calls made to the police Sunday threatening municipal and transit police.
The merchant ship was in very poor condition, causing the machinery to stop working after a short time. Rapid intervention of the Spanish frigate SPS Victoria ensured that pirates could not re-board the RIM and made sure the rudderless ship was no danger to shipping.
Technicians of the Dutch naval vessel noted aboard the RIM that the ship was beyond repair; the electricity had broken down, as had the navigation. The poor condition of the ship combined with the high sea state and wind causing the ship to make water, resulted in the captain of the RIM indicating to the operational headquarters of Operation Atalanta he would take his crew on board the ship [I guess they either mean 'off the RIM' or 'onto the Johan de Witt'] and letting the ship go.
HNLMS Johan de Witt was ordered to assist, mainly because they have a 2-hospital on board.

[Dawn] Militants attacked a security check post in Orakzai tribal region's Pakhtotalaab area killing one security official and wounding two others, DawnNews reported.
The forces retaliated the attack and killed 11 militants during the ensuing clashes.
Troops also arrested three injured militants.
At least 1,000 militants have been killed during the military operation in upper Orakzai during the past 45 days. Meanwhile, security forces have captured and secured much of lower Orakzai.

Within the space of a day, violence has claimed the lives of seven people across Iraq and left 45 others injured.
A bomb attack against the house of a policeman in Ramadi, the capital of the western province of Anbar, killed a young female, injured 10 others, and destroyed three residences on Monday, AFP reported.
Eighteen others were injured when four other houses belonging to law enforcement agents were attacked in the city of Fallujah, which is also in Anbar province.
A police patrol hit a roadside bomb in the south of Baghdad, claiming the lives of two people, including a policeman, and leaving five others injured.
Another bombing killed one person and injured six more in the Baghdad neighborhood of Mansur.
An explosive device, attached to a minibus using a magnet, killed one individual and injured six people in the district of Sadr City in northern Baghdad.
And two salesmen were fatally shot in Mosul and Kirkuk.
According to Iraqi government figures, 337 people were killed in May 2010, a rise from the same month last year.

The bodies of two Palestinians killed by Israeli fire in the seas off Gaza washed ashore on Tuesday, bringing to six the total number of alleged militants killed by the navy in a raid off the coast.
The bodies of two men in their 20s who had each been shot in the head washed ashore and were collected by local medics, the head of Gaza emergency services, Muawiya Hassanein, said.
On Monday, Israel attacked a boat carrying what it said was "a squad of terrorists wearing diving suits on their way to execute a terror attack."
A survivor who was on shore at the time of the attack said the six men on the boat were members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, an armed group which is loosely tied to the secular Fatah movement of Western-backed president Mahmud Abbas, but that there were no weapons on the boat.
He said they were doing swimming exercises some 100 metres (yards) off the coast when they were attacked by Israeli naval forces.
The incident came as Israel faced an international outcry over its bloody seizure of an aid flotilla bound for Gaza, in which nine Turkish activists -- one holding US citizenship -- were shot dead.
Israel and Egypt tightened already strict Gaza border closures when the Islamist Hamas movement seized power in June 2007, and Israel maintains a tight naval blockade on the impoverished territory of 1.5 million people.
