WASHINGTON Anti-war and human rights activists plan an unusual take on the Easter egg hunt by holding an Easter cluster-bomb hunt on Monday.
Fake cluster bombs made by children will be scattered around Lafayette Park, north of the White House. Hundreds of people will attend the White House Easter Egg Roll while activists hold their alternative cluster-bomb hunt on the other side of the executive mansion.
Brian Hennessey, a spokesman for the Vineeta Foundation, a group sponsor, said the event aims to be humorous and fun for kids. Organizers also want to bring attention that cluster bombs cause death and destruction, Hennessey said. Sick
A cluster bomb releases several hundred smaller bombs that might explode or linger on the ground as land mines, which are often found and picked up by children. Vineeta Foundation is chaired by Radia Daoussi, a Fulbright Scholar and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Scholar trained at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.

How about an uncensored display for the kiddies to show them what a car bomb does to real mommies and kiddies at a market place in Baghdad? How about showing them real hiding places for daddies and mommies and kiddies who are afraid of the AQ trolls who come in the night and really cut off heads?

The USAF has a problem that cluster bombs would do a good job solving. But they understand that there are some people out there who don't like the idea of cluster bombs. So rather than drop any cluster bombs, they have decided to take volunteers from the ranks upon ranks of these hypocritical clueless armchair-general whiners to save humanity by going in on foot and do the job of these bomblets using a "Please Be Nice" sign rather than use actual cluster bombs.

SHIMLA: A state government in northern India has announced plans to sterilise tens of thousands of monkeys after complaints from farmers that the animals are destroying their crops.
Thousands of farmers and activists gathered outside the state legislature of Himachal Pradeshs capital Shimla this week to demand action from the government.
"We now plan to operate on 65,000 monkeys in urban areas of the state," said the state Forest Minister Ram Lal Thakur late on Thursday.
After sterilisation, the monkeys will be observed for five days before being released again.
The government is training veterinarians for this massive sterilisation programme. Thakur did not say how long the sterilisation scheme would take.
There are more than 300,000 monkeys in the state, up from an estimated 60,000 in 1985, according to government figures.
Wildlife experts say monkeys come into conflict with humans when their natural habitat in forests is destroyed.

Then they have to perform surgery on them? Or is surgery a bit too delicate a term? Regardless, this is going to cost a heap and and take a long, long time. I wonder if the monkeys will breed faster than the vets can sterilize them. Must be muzzie monkeys.

Never heard of them, but they're saying the monkeys are "Destroying Crops" so that puts them squarely in the "Vermin" category, (Along with Raccoons, Possums, Deer and Rabbits) and vermin Death is appropriate over human starvation.

For the first time, Seattle Public Schools are sending students from four high schools to attend the annual White Privilege Conference, sponsored by the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, the University of Denver, Teaching Tolerance, Study Circles Resource Center, The Matrix, Center for Judaic Studies, GLSEN, and many more organizations. I just read through the list of people "presenting" at this conference. This is a classic list of life's academic losers. Having been in academia, I'd venture to say that not one of the people listed there has ever made $70K per year. Most of them would be damned lucky to have made 30K.
The bios are the usual melange of nonspecific garbage with "life experience" high on the list. Most of them in their presentations will want to blame their life failure on how "whitey kept me down." The whites attending, if not queer, are simply gravytrainers sucking off the "victim studies" funding stream.
If some sharp white kids go to this, it will probably be good for them. They'll get to see up close and personal what wankers these people are and just how racist they are themselves against whites. We need people to wake up and stuff like this often acts in ways the organizers would certainly find extremely counterproductive.
