Don't run into this monster with your vehicle, heh. The state fair starts soon, so I will try to get some pics of the big fellah.
Been up to Tok, Alaska in the smoke. Was near the alcan border at Northway, fires on one side of the road, visibility down to 1/8 mile or less. The sun is a dim orange orb through the smoke. 4 million acres + burning. People up there been living in severe smoke for 2 months now. Some villages I need to visit are surrounded by fire. Welcome to hell, folks.

AP, that sounds dreadful. Two months in the smoke? AK has my best wishes for plentiful rain, and STAT!

No Tater. He has his own problems with his own heat. Spooky! Heh heh. We were very careful not to be cut off by fire. Some roads are open, but we stayed away from the ones with fire on both sides. Some roads are closed due to fires and visiblity is less than 100 yards. Helicopters are the only things flying, and some places they get grounded from low visibility. It gets pretty eerie at times.
Here is a link to BLM mapping of the fire near Tok (eastern Alaska near the Alcan border), FYI.

An alleged peeping Tom is in the intensive care unit after reportedly being assaulted with a tree branch, NewsChannel5 reported. Officials said Mario Russo, 44, was attacked after he was spotted outside a bedroom window wearing his pants around his ankles and watching a 5-year-old girl who was sleeping outside the Bunkeridge Apartments. Russo was reportedly hiding in bushes. Police said after he was discovered a group of six people, include the girls mother, aunt and their boyfriends attacked him and brutally beat him for more than an hour. The girl's mother, Stacy Umstott, 28; her aunt, Athena Lemieux, 20; Brandon Breedon, 21; Nicholas Phipps, 21; and Khald Arafat, 34; and a 15-year-old are in police custody. They face felonious assault and rape charges. Murder charges could be filed if Russo dies. The girl's aunt admitted to sexually assaulting Russo with a tree branch, police said. Note to self: Don't f&%k around in that part of town.
The incident was caught on tape which is being downloaded furiously on the Internet. Meanwhile, police said that citizens should not take matters into their own hands. "To take matters into their own hands like they did was just way, way beyond reason," North Royalton Detective Jay Drake said. EMPHASIS ADDED
Who wants to bet the peeper is already rehabilitated? I doubt there'll be a repeat offense.
The solution for Mr. Russo's pain is obvious. Every farm boy and girl knows how you deal with an uppity stallion.

Where i'm from, there is no chance that a jury would convict the defendants. I doubt thereâll be a repeat offense
Actualy, given the pathology of various sex offenders ive delt with professionaly, the only sure fire way to prevent repeat offences is to kill or permanantly imprision them.

Okay, I get why they would beat the crap out of him. But WTF is up with the tree branch?!? These people are truly f*cked in the head and I hope they serve time.

That would be why they did the tree branch thing. How long before this sicko get's out on bail and takes looking at little girls a step further? That's the question that was running through their minds. The sheer thought of it makes make shudder in disgust, I can't imagine the rage the family members felt.
What happens if this guy turns out to already be a committed sex-offender? That would either get the family acquited or a very reduced sentence.

Not as long as it took the family to take it a step further. This guy is a pervert and, like I said, I understand the ass-beating. But whatever "step further" they felt he might have taken, they've already beaten him to it.
What scares me about this is, I don't even think they were concerned about what he might do in the future. They saw an opportunity. They realized that our society is so disgusted by child abuse that they would be exonerated. I think they did it because they wanted to, and because they thought they could get away with it. That scares the hell out of me.

Tough crowd.
I agree that the beating was warranted, but the tree branch business is an extremely brutal and sadistic sexual offense in and of itself.
The person who did it is probably a menace to society. She should do major time.
The juvenile should walk regardless of his/her involvement, since the adults were the obvious leaders in a situation where significant violence was in fact justified. It would have taken superhuman resolve and thinking power for a 15 year old to sort out the implications and act on them, all on the spur of the moment.
The others should walk or get short sentences depending on their complicity in the stick rape, and the degree of violence of which they were individually the perpetrators.
The perv? Throw away the key.

As unethical as it still is, it's one thing to get the hots for a seventeen year old girl that's just a step away from being an adult, but something entirely different where a five year old kid is concerned. This doesn't warrant the tree branch treatment, but the fact that child molesters are reviled by prison inmates, of all people, indicate that some line has been crossed, and I can certainly see where someone might become incensed enough to do such a thing.

The Tree branch was a little extreme. On the other hand he was apparently staring at a 5-YO child while getting his rocks off. I can understand how the parents rage. I dont know what I would do if she were my daughter and I caught the pervert.
On the other hand it only made it easier for him when get meets his new cellmate/master 'bubba' in prison...

"To take matters into their own hands like they did was just way, way beyond reason," North Royalton Detective Jay Drake said.
Easy for you to say, Jay. Caught anybody jerking off by your house while fantasizing about raping (and then probably killing) your five-year-old daughter lately? No? Then go polish your badge or do whatever else the police generally do when the aren't screwing with harmless citizens.... because stopping crime sure as hell isn't it. Personally, I'd kill the bastard, prep his worthless carcas in my deer tent, and then dump him out in desert for the coyotes to take care of. No muss no fuss no extra expense for the tax payers.... and no evidence.

Okay, let me get this straight... The guy gets caught looking at a little girl for the purpose of sexual gratification, and in addition to arrest and a severe ass-beating, you guys think it's okay to shove a piece of wood up the guy's ass?
#16
The stick up the butt is NOT okay, and the person who did that should be prosecuted (and convicted). What people are saying, BH, is that they understand the rage. I sure would hope that I could control myself if I were to witness something like this.
But I can't promise you that I would.

BH:
I've never said that I had a problem with every aspect of Arab culture. That said, I think a good clean killing followed by the discreet disposal of remains was in order here rather than torture.... but you whack off by a child's window you gets what you gets, as they say in the hood.
Sympathy for Suspect: 0
Lesson to Prospective Child Molesters: Priceless
What if it was YOUR kid that this guy was doing that to? Care to guarantee that you wouldn't lose it entirely?
Now I wouldn't agree with such an extreme response like the stick-in-the-ass treatment, but were you to retaliate in a similarly harsh manner to such an action toward your child, no complaint would be coming from me.
TWO Bahrainis accused of adultery have been cleared, after a court ruled that there was not enough evidence to support the allegation. The woman, a 25-year-old divorcee, of Umm Al Hassam, admitted to police she had a sexual relationship with the man, but said he had told her he was already divorced. She said they had been seeing each other for about five months and she had even discussed marrying him with her mother. The man, also 25, denied having sex with the woman, saying that she was after him.
Ummm... She was bangin' him, but he wasn't bangin' her? I'da paid money to see that...
Each denied adultery when they appeared at the Lower Criminal Court last month.
"Nope. Nope. Never happened."
They landed in court after the woman went to the man's sister-in-law, alleging they were having an affair. The man and his wife turned up and police were called after the man assaulted the woman.
That was ungracious of him...
His wife filed a complaint of adultery. The defence lawyer argued that there had to be at least four witnesses to prove adultery. He said the female defendant was already divorced and believed that the man was also divorced.
If this had happened in Soddy Arabia she'd be under a pile of rocks and he'd be moving on to his next conquest...
